Chapter 1 – Let's Go Shopping!
A/N: These are interconnected one shots that are going to be a countdown to Christmas. My goal is to have 12 days.

Peter basically skipped into the shopping center. He loved the holidays, especially during a time like this. Coronavirus also known as COVID-19 was taking the world by storm almost literally. It was a wouldwide pandemic and to be truthful they probably shouldn't even be shopping, by tony had rented the center for the day so the only people in it would the the two of them and the employees.
They Avengers had, had a wonderful thanksgiving with a ton of food, and now they were going to have an Avengers Christmas, it would be Peter's first. This year was full of firsts. Especially after T'Challa passed. Unfortunately, colon cancer got the best of the Black Panther. Shuri was taking his place as their first female Black Panther, and there was a new hope, they would never forget their king though.
"where to first spiderling" Tony asked, a bright smile adjourning his face. They had become like father like son over the past few years since homecoming. The Avengers got back together like a year after, and now Peter was a junior. It was unfortunate he had to spend one of his last years at home in quarantine, but they did what they had to do.
"you shop more than me," Peter said, waving his had and motioning for Tony to lead the way. The billionaire happily obliged walking with a confident stride. Tony led the two of them all around the shopping center. It was quite a beautiful sight, lights were everywhere, since it was outside due to social distancing and safety reasons, the lights went back and forth off the tops of the connecting buildings. (Think of an outlet mall with strings going from shop to shop) Peter walked that much slower as he watched the red and green lights.
"Do you think Aunt Hottie would like something from pandora?" Tony asked stopping and pointing towards the fancy store. Peter bit his lip. "I can see the wheels turning in your head, I'll pay and then you can pay me back if you want, or not"
Tony winked, and Peter tilted his head in thought. May didn't get many nice expensive things and he thought it would be a really nice gift to get for his aunt. Peter nodded silently walking in the store with Tony at his heels.
Pandora was stunning, even more so from the inside. It was very white and elaborate. Pieces of jewelry lined the walls and the desks. They were all protected with a box of glass. They walked around for about 20 minutes before Peter found one that he thought May would love.
"This one" Peter pointed to the glass case. It contained a simple yet beautiful diamond with a matching pair of diamond earrings. Both were simple yet stunning. Tony glanced in the case, and Peter watched with curiosity as Tony inspected the jewelry.
"Okay" He finally said. Peter beamed and literally skipped over to the cash register asking the cashier for the diamond pieces. She smiled at him which he quickly returned. The next place they went to was the apple store. It was quite fancy, and the employees allowed them to go in to look around despite the wall for safety measures. Maybe, a bit of money was helpful too. Tony picked out the MacBook, iPad pro 2, apple pencil gen 2, iPhone 12 pro, iPhone 12 mini, and apple air pod max'.
"That's a lot" Peter said, eyes wide. Tony chuckled.
"That's Pepper for you, she loves apple products even though she knows I could just make it for her.
"Why do you like that pineapple place so much" tony had said flopping down on the couch next to his wife. She looked at him amused a twinkle in her eye.
"It's apple hun, and they have good stuff" She said simply turning back to her book.
"But whyyy" Tony whined, "You know I could make better products than them"
"It's not the same" She insisted, her eyes still glued to her book.
"I could buy the company" He argued, her head shot up, and she glared on him.
"You already bought Samsung, and android, you don't get Apple too" She said scowling playfully.
"ok…" Tony gave in. "J.A.R.V.I.S, drop my needle. C'mon baby let's dance"
"That's really thoughtful" Peter added drawing Tony back into present time. Peter didn't usually see anyone get lavish gifts, Ned maybe, and MJ just got a lot of drawing supplies, she thought that technology was going to destroy the Earth. He did however, pick out lego Avengers compound 5000 piece set for Ned, and a beautiful black Dahlia necklace for MJ.
When all of the gifts were bought and then some they left for home. It was a comfortable silence some Christmas songs on the radio. Peter still had no idea what to get for Tony. He had died, and Tony had almost died, and what do you get for a man who can either buy anything or make anything or-
"Whats on your mind kid" Tony said glancing over at the teen. Peter smiled.
"Nothing much" Was his answer. Except for it was a lot. Tony had almost died, Peter died the gift had to be really good. It had to top all other gifts that he'd ever gotten for the man. They went back in silence. Tony would probably get Peter a lavish over the top present, so he would have to do the same for tony.
"We're here" Tony said tapping Peter on the shoulder. Had it really been that long? Sure enough . the cabin was already outside in window, he'd been so lost in thought he hadn't realized. Oops
"Hey boys" Pepper called dressed in a button down white blouse and a pair of black leggings. Her back was leaning against the door watching the two get their bags out of the trunk.
"Hi Mrs. Stark" Peter said politely, both of them leaving their many bags in the car to hide later. At least until they had a tree. May had agreed to split parentals rights, and so he was going to stay with Tony for the next 12 days of Christmas since May had to take extra sifts with Covid and everything.
"How was shopping" Pepper asked. She'd become like a second mom to him, and he was loving it. Tony came in not long after giving Pepper a kiss.
"Good" Tony said
"I made some French fries, but I was thinking you could grill the hamburgers" Pepper instructed, she said it like a question but there really was no room to say no.
Peter guessed that was another thing Tony picked up. Cooking. He totally sucked at it 5 years ago, but 5 years is a long time, and enough time to master something. "Ok" Tony said already getting the meet out of the fridge.
"So what'd you get" Pepper asked sitting on the edge of the chair arms crossed. She seemed so carefree, Peter didn't really expect that from the CEO of stark industries or the Wife of the crazy Tony Stark.
"A necklace for MJ and another lego set for Ned" Peter replied biting his lip. What if they didn't like it?
"That's nice" Pepper commented at the same time Tony yelled DORK from the kitchen. "Be nice" She scolded.
"Sorry!" Tony yelled again. Peter smiled this was so normal, its as if he had been doing this since he was little. Bantering like a family, one he'd never really had. May of course, but it wasn't the same.
"It's ok, Dad" Peter reassured before his eyes widened and Tony looked at him at the same time Peter did. "Sorry"
To his surprise though Tony smiled, "That's ok" then a pause, "Son"
