Quick shoutout to those of you who leave a review every chapter. I read each and every one of your reviews, and they mean so much to me!

Annabeth POV

It's been exactly 400 days since Percy and I broke up. What? No! I'm not keeping count, are you keeping count?

Anyways, it's Friday and I've had a long week. I'm going to take myself out to eat. The real question is: pho or ramen for dinner?

I unlock my car door and slide in. The thought of warm noodles makes my mouth water. I decide on pho for today, I'll have ramen next week.

I pull out of the parking lot and zoom down the street. Well, to be frankly honest, I inch along the road would be a better description. New York rush hour traffic is the worst. To pass the time, I turn on the radio.

'All the Single Ladies' by Beyonce comes on. In the past, I'd feel sad and think of Percy, but honestly, I'm feeling the best I have since we broke up. I do get swing of postpartum depression, but right now, I'm feeling great. "If you like it then you should've put a ring on it, oh oh oh!" I yell. The sunroof is open, so I bet that everyone around me heard me yell-singing, but I just smile and dance to the beat.

A guy in the next car over looks at me with an amused smile. I give him a wink. Oh my gosh, I think to myself, who is this new Annabeth Chase that winks at random boys?I decide that I like her, a lot.

The cars get moving and the Amused Guy is nowhere to be seen.

It's 7pm when I get to the pho place, and there's a line too. That's nice, sarcasm intended, by the way. I run past a large group of people heading towards the restaurant in an attempt to put my name on the waitlist before them. We're about 100 feet away from the pho place, I can beat them.

As I run past them, I nearly crash into one of the guys who was walking on the edge of their group. "Sorry!" I exclaim, and run past without looking back.

I scribble down my name and remind myself to breathe. I'm panting, hard. Luckily there are seats, and I find an empty one in the corner. To kill time, I take out my phone and check my emails.

"Hello, Dearie," says someone next to me. I look over to find a little old lady with white-gray hair pulled into a bun and grey eyes.

"I'm sorry. Can I help you?" She acted like she knew me, but I've never seen her before... I don't think. Though she does look a little familiar, but it must be one of those faces.

"Oh yes, we have much to discuss," she says with a knowing smile. Excuse me?

But before I can reply, the host calls out, "Annabeth party of one, Annabeth!"

"Ooo, we can talk over dinner," she old lady smiles and gets up. Is she going to eat dinner with me?!

I get up to follow the host to my table, and sure enough, the little old lady follows. She tells the host that she tagged along last minute and the host says it's totally fine since the table was for two anyways. I huff. Why can't they have tables for one? Like, hello, not everyone has a significant other.

I tentatively take a seat while she plops down with a content sigh. "Ahh, isn't this nice?"

I've had enough with this shenanigan. I need some answers. "Who are you and what do you want?"

"Oh my, bold as always, I see." She has this twinkle in her eye, and an aura around her that makes me think she's not entirely human. I swear, after all I've been through, if the gods interfere with my life one more time, I'll kill them.

"Cut the crap," I demand. She raises her eyebrows. Before she can say anything the waitress comes over to take out orders. "One small seafood pho please."

When the waitress leaves I turn back to little . "Look," she starts, "I've been watching you for a while." I roll my eyes, but urge her to keep going. "I know about what happened in the past year." Ok, so what if she knows that Percy and I broke up? It's not terribly hard to decipher. For a second though, I thought she knew about... "I know about Charlie," she says in a low voice.

My mouth hangs open. No way. "H-how?" I stammer. She smiles and shrugs. The waitress comes back with our food and it calms me down a little.

"Before you yell at me, I want to make myself clear." Jeez, and you call me bold, I think. I mean, who just decides to have dinner with the person you've been stalking? I roll my eyes and let my head drop back to look at the ceiling. When I look forward again, my eyes land on a guy at the next table over. I think he was the guy I almost crashed into, that's not awkward at all. He probably saw my whole 'eye-rolling' show of exasperation.

To my surprise me mouthed. "Are you okay?" I gave him a curt nod and faced once more.

"Spill it," I command. "Why are you here?"

"I came to let you know that I have set you up with a nice young man."

I nearly spit my soup back into the bowl. "What?!"

"Honey, you seemed so sad after giving her up."

I flinch at the mention of Charlie, but quickly snap back into reality. "Oh don't you 'honey' me."

"Annabeth," she says in a soft voice, "I'm just trying to help."

For a second, I almost believe her until I remember she's probably a god trying to manipulate me. "Fine. I'm feeling quite generous today, so I'll hear you out, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to agree with whatever you want me to do." I cross my arms.

"I'm not making you do anything. I'm just letting you know that there is a fine young man who cares about you, so I gave him your number. Oh, he also knows about your... situation."

"Please tell me you didn't tell him that I gave up my baby," I practically beg.

"Don't worry, Annabeth. He understands."

"I did not approve of this, and just because I'm not all up in your face about it doesn't mean that I'm okay with it. I've matured a lot over the past few months, and if this is all just to aggravate me then consider the mission failed."

"I'm serious. I did what I did because I believe things will turn out for the better. Even Aphrodite has my back." Then she covered her mouth.

"Are you trying to meddle with my love life?" I accuse.

She gives me a tired look. "If that's what you call helping you, then yes."

"I can't believe you would do that to me. I don't even know who you are! Why would you meddle with my life right when things are starting to get better? You know what, don't even answer. I want to finish my dinner in peace." Sadness flashes through her grey eyes for a second, but it was gone so quick I wasn't sure if I even saw it.

True to her word, the rest of dinner is peaceful, though my head is loud with thoughts. Of course I'm mad at her for exposing me to a some random guy, but a small voice in my head chides this would be a great opportunity to branch out and finally get over him.

I leave the pho place deep in thought wondering if I'm going to dread the text from this mystery guy or look forward to it.

Just as I'm about to turn the corner, someone grabs my wrist. I spin around and see it's the guy that caught my eye-rolling. "Hey," he breathes. He must've run after me because he's still catching his breath.

"Hi," I chirp.

"I know that it's none of my business, but I couldn't help but notice you were a little... upset back there," he scratches the back of his neck with one hand, the other is still on my wrist.

Oh yeah, so this random lady decided to have dinner with me and proceeded to tell me that she told my deepest secret to this random guy and now he's gonna text me. That's what I want to say, but instead I say. "Yeah, but it's all good now. Thanks for caring, though." I turn back towards the street and try to shake off his hand, but he holds my wrist tighter and spins me around again.

"Uhh..." he looks nervous. "What I wanted to ask you was... do you wanna go out?"

Woah, that was unexpected. Should I? Or should I not? Just a few months ago I was crying over Percy and gave up a kid, but I'm a changed woman. Percy said it himself, he found a new something that he'd 'always' keep with him. My heart tightens.

"Sure, let's go on a date."

A/N Well, well, well, would you look at that. We've got some TENSION here! Before you guys start yelling at me in the reviews, I want to say: don't worry! I know how you feel about Percabeth breaking up in the first place, but c'mon you guys, you know how these types of stories end. This little bit of tension is necessary to stir up some good ol' fashion drama.

Summary: The same lady that Percy met twice has dinner with Annabeth, and she immediately senses something fishy. Sure enough, the little old lady spilled her secret to a mystery guy, and now Annabeth awaits a text from him. Furious at the gods for meddling with her love life and jealous of Percy's new 'something', Annabeth accepts a date request from the guy at the pho place.
