Ranma grabbed her order, said goodnight to her coworkers and left the restaurant. She had just finished another shift at Pony Corral and was now heading home. She had been waitressing there for the last couple of years. As she headed on home, she thought back to a few years earlier, when her life changed…again
It was shortly after the failed wedding fiasco. Ukyo, Shampoo and Kodachi had stepped up their attempts to claim him, while at the same time Kuno and Mousse stepped up their attempts to kill him. He actually got mad and unleashed a Hiryu Shoten Ha which landed them all in the hospital
While still angry Ranma and Akane had a huge fight but instead of just being their usual verbal fight, they traded blows which caused Ranma to end up with a black eye, broken ribs and a concussion while Akane received a broken arm and a fat lip
After being released from the hospital Ranma left the Tendo's home without a word but he did leave a note, which said that he had moved into his mother's newly rebuilt house. The reason he gave was that he didn't want to be anywhere near Akane for fear that they would have another round and destroy whatever chance at eventually patching things up
It took two months before Ranma and Akane patched things up, during this time a few things changed. For one he started teaching Akane and her sisters while her sisters started tutoring him. The biggest change aside from him ignoring the girls was that he was working for and now friends with Nabiki
She came out of her thoughts as she opened the door to her apartment, she put the food down changed out of her uniform, and went for a bath. After which he got ready for bed, ate, then went to bed.
The next morning Ranma got up got changed then went to school cloaked in the umisenken as to avoid the very determined fiancee brigade and the rivals. He received his report card and was happy to see his and her grades had risen
When he got home his parents were gone, so he relaxed for a while before getting his suit on and then heading for the Tendo's, he was two blocks from his part-time home when
BOOM!
Ranma looked around wondering what that was when he saw fire & smoke caused by the explosion towering into the darkening night sky. This sent a chill ran down his spine as he realized where it looked like it was coming from
He ran faster than he ever had before while thinking 'Oh Kami please no' as he turned onto the street where the Tendo dojo was, he stopped in horror as he saw the compound engulfed in flames
"KUSO!, NO!"
As he ran towards the gate he heard a voice "R...Ranma?" he turned and saw Nabiki propped up on the ground against the neighbours' wall. He ran over to her and saw she was crying he sat down beside her and pulled her into himself
"SHHH, I'm here"
He sat there rocking her back and forth rubbing her back as Kasumi had taught him, as he did he raised his ki sense to try and detected life but felt nothing from the Tendo's in fact he couldn't feel their ki anywhere
When Nabiki had finally settled down she pulled herself away from Ranma and saw that firefighters were starting to get the fire put out, Nabiki turned to Ranma and saw he was worried
"Ranma?" Ranma looked at her and said
"I can't feel them, I extended my ki sense as far as I could and I can't feel them an…ywh…" he trailed off into a whisper
Nabiki wondered why he trailed off, then realization hit her of what he was thinking as she saw tears coming down his face "Oh no" she said in a whisper "you have to be wrong" she said in a breaking voice
"I hope so, I really really hope so"
Meanwhile, two of the more popular restaurants in Nerima were now closing for the night, as Shampoo and Ukyo were cleaning they were listening to their TVs, when…
"We interrupt this program with breaking news"
"Aiya what now" Shampoo exclaimed
"For crying out loud" Ukyo shouted
Then as the screen changed to show the fire in the night sky they heard "We are coming to you live from outside the walls of the Tendo dojo as you can see firefighters are working hard to put out this blaze" this caused them to collapse to the floor in shock, then a moment later shouted
"Great Grandmother/Konatsu come quick"
They were interviewing several of the people there when she turned back to the camera and "We have just been informed that firefighters have found six bodies in the building, police will not be releasing names at this time" the scene showed a couple of gurneys/stretchers (whichever you call it) with body bags on them
Back at the dojo Ranma and Nabiki had finished telling the police what they saw, and Ranma told them about the death threats but no one they knew would do this. After that, they were allowed to leave the scene, and that's when Ranma started guiding her toward Nodoka's
"I have got no home, no family, I'm alone now," Nabiki said
"No, you are not you got me"
"Thanks but where will I live, Ranma?" asked
"You can live with me Nabiki" she looked at him "Mom's house has more than enough room or I could take you to a relatives place," Nabiki thought about it and then replied
"That would be pointless as the ones I know, wanted nothing to do with us after Mom died. Besides that right now I won't feel safe anywhere but with you"
They had gotten about halfway when they heard
"RANMA PREPARE TO DIE" he was about to attack when Nabiki got between him and Ranma
"NOT NOW, WE JUST LOST OUR FAMILIES. RANMA LOST HIS PARENTS AND I LOST MY FATHER AND SISTERS"
"THEN ITS ALL RAN…" #SLAP!# a loud crack filled the air as Ryoga held his face
"SHUT UP P-CHAN BEFORE I TURN YOU INTO BACON" Ryoga paled as Nabiki screamed at him
"We don't know why they were killed, we don't know if it is because of Ranma, our fathers, their master or if it was an accident"
"I told officers about the several death threats I have gotten and I also told them that the people who made them would have made sure I and I alone was the only victim they wouldn't harm anyone else"
"So in other words from now on you want to fight it's a friendly one and you will not lay a single finger on him otherwise, got it" Ryoga nodded then said he would be at Akari's if they need him he then left
"How are you holding up?" Nabiki's voice was a bit shaken
"I'm fine" he stopped causing her to do the same
"No, I won't let you do this to yourself again."
"What?"
"I don't want you hiding behind the 'Ice Queen again,'" she looked at him here "I'm not going hide behind that men don't cry crap. I already have cried and I'm not going to pretend that everything is all right, cause it's not". He saw Nabiki wasn't listening, he grabbed her shoulders and looked into her eyes "on my honour Nabiki I won't abandon you." they hugged "I'm here for you and I always will be, even if we go different ways" she took his hand in hers
"Thank you, Ranma. I guess I needed to hear that because I don't want to be alone, especially right now "
They stopped in front of the door as Ranma searched for his key then as he opened the door he turned to her and said
"Welcome Home Nabiki"
"Thanks, Ranma"
They headed inside and soon after a tour of the house Ranma started to make supper while Nabiki headed to the guest room when she opened the closet she saw some of her clothes
'Huh I guess I left some clothes here from when Ranma had that sleepover' she thought to herself
They decided to eat in front of the TV, to try and distract their minds but soon after eating they fell asleep on the couch. After a short snooze and decided to clean up later they went to bed where they quickly went back to sleep
Both had nightmares, Nabiki was reliving the events only with everyone blaming her and her Ice Queen ways which caused her to wake up screaming with sweat pouring down her face.
A moment later she heard Ranma berating himself with the insults of his father, Nabiki had heard enough and woke him up. As soon as he saw her he went into "The Crouch of the wild tiger" apologizing to her for failing to protect her family then he started repeating what he was saying in his sleep. Nabiki hauled back and slapped him hard, he stared at her mindlessly rubbing his cheek
"You have saved my family countless times so don't you dare blame yourself, it's not your fault we'll find out who did this and bring them to justice"
Ranma nodded and then asked if she wanted to stay there, Nabiki said yes. So using the soul of ice cooled the water and turned into Ranko then soon both were back asleep
While they slept over in Jubban their cousins Ami and Rei were doing homework while listening to the tv when the show they were watching was interrupted by the Breaking News title card before a reporter spoke
"Good Morning, we have an update regarding the tragedy that took place last night in Nerima. Last night around seven pm there was an explosion at the Tendo dojo, which claimed the lives of six people who the police identified as Genma and Nodoka Saotome as well as Soun, Akane and Kasumi Tendo as well as a Saeko Mizuno,
The Police of both Nerima and Jubban precincts are searching for the ones responsible for the attack who thanks to a couple of videos the Police have received have been identified as Sailors Moon, Venus, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto." Ami collapsed to the ground crying as Rei turned off the tv and then held Ami trying to comfort her
A short while later after Ami had calmed a bit, they called an emergency meeting to address the news, while they waited for them to show up they made a decision that they were hoping they wouldn't have to announce. Once everyone got there
"Makoto, Hotaru we're you with the others last night?"
"No"
"Then you can leave or stay" they decided to stay
"Usagi, Mina, Hakura, Michiru, Setsuna did you blow up the Tendo dojo?"
"They were a threat to Crystal Tokyo" Pluto spoke proudly given that the threat was naturalized
"WHY?"
"Soun and Genma were going to kill the scouts"
"Uncle would never take a life even if his life depended on it" Rei and Ami yelled
"That's just a front"
"What about my Aunt and Ami's cousins"
"They set up a resistance group to stop Usagi's rise to power we should take care of the entire family"
"The entire, do you feel that way Usa…Princess" she nodded "then you leave us no choice as I am part of the Saotome family and Ami is part of the Tendo family." Rei said
"You killed our uncles, Rei's aunt, my cousins and Mother" the girls' eyes widened as both girls transformed to their Princess forms and stated together "Princess Serenity, Sailors Venus, Neptune, Uranus and Pluto you are all hereby considered enemies of planets Mars and Mercury." They then transformed into their Sailor forms and continued
"In the names of Mars, Hino and Saotome," said Rei then Ami continued"and In the names of Mercury, Mizuno and Tendo, We shall triumph over evil and that means you, you cold-blooded murderers. Now excuse us but we have several funerals to go plan, thanks to you."
The other scouts were shaking as they heard the venom in their voices and saw the looks of hatred in their eyes which promised pain, as they left. Hotaru turned to Makoto "C…can I stay with you for a while" to wish she said "yes" they then left leaving the five murders behind
Before Rei and Ami left the temple Pluto had already gone back to the gates of time, because the gates' alarms were going off. As she arrived she saw her future self shutting the alarms off
"Congratulations BAKA because of what you and the scouts did Crystal Tokyo has only a 5% chance of happening now"
"What do you mean?"
"You got drunk on Mercian rye you didn't realize you had activated the alternate timeline function and we're viewing Earth 1215 there Soun and Genma are ten times worse and would have done as you said but our version that you and the Senshi killed would have set things in motion that would lead to the Senshi getting new allies"
"What do you mean?"
"In five months there would have been a battle between Happosai and Ranma, Ranma would be hospitalized and nearly dead. This would cause them to realize what an S.O.B he is. Genma and Soun would get him plastered but instead of trapping him, they would have used the ultimate weakness moxibustion and sealed his ki. By doing this Happosai would have died"
"Ok but how does that get us allies"
"While going through his stuff Ranma and Akane would find items connecting to Sol then Ranma would come across the girls nearly beaten and intervene raising his ki to near God mode levels which would activate the item turning him into the Solar Knight this would also cause Akane to awaken as Sailor Sun. Now because of you, these won't happen and the Senshi have split up"
