Chapter 2!
RPM Shadow: I'm glad you like the start, I personally was super excited as I wrote it! I hope the rest of the story will be just as good, or better!
Seliene16: I really like writing Nadakhan, I'm glad I decided to use him as the villain. I'm glad you are enjoying it so far!
CaptainSteve1: That is a very good question, prepare for a long explanation! So, in Skybound, Nadakhan kidnapped Jay, right? He did everything in his power to break Jay, to force him to wish it all away. As you likely know, Jay did not. He did not break. Now, with Nadakhan back, the evil Djinn's goal is to break Jay, to break the one that beat him. He is mad at Jay for overcoming him before, and wants his revenge. That is why Jay is not captured in the Djinn Blade, to be broken. It would be very hard to break someone who was stuck in a Djinn Blade.
Why are Maya and Mo not captured in the Blade along with everybody else? Sort of for the same reason. To break Jay, Nadakhan is using Maya and Mo. If he hurts Jay's own daughter, or someone the Blue Ninja cares about, Jay is more likely to give in than if the ninja himself was hurt. If I would put this in a quote, it would go as follows: " I don't care what you do to me, just please don't hurt _"
Basically, Nadakhan wants to break Jay and keep Jay, Maya, and Mo out of the Blade to do so. I hope this makes sense! Thanks for the review and the question!
(P.S: I'm glad you like my idea of having Maya and Mo in this story, I was totally going to include Maya but was debating if I should include Keith or Mo. I'm glad I made the right decision!)
Beatitude Girl: I'm glad you like both of my Ninjago stories, it's really nice to hear that! I hope the Ninja's reactions are as good as you expect….I finding it a bit hard to write!
Luigi is better: I think that Mo as a wolf would be blonde, with green scars on his face. So, I guess he would have scars like Akita but have blond hair/ fur like Lloyd. Good question, I'm glad you like this fanfic so far!
Present Day...
"Push, Jay, Push! You can do it!" Cole said, glancing at a timer, " Only 15 seconds!" Jay groaned as he lifted the 75 pound bar above his head, then back down. Up, then down. Over and over again. He was sweating like crazy, his face beat red from the exhaustion and effort he was giving.
15 seconds too long. Jay thought as his arms shook more violently than before.
" Ten seconds!" Cole shouted. Ten seconds, that's all. You got this, Jay, you got it. Jay thought, but then his arms gave out, making the Blue Ninja lose his grip on the weight. He was barely hanging on to it. I don't got it! I don't got it! Then, the weight slipped, falling onto Jay's chest.
"OWWWW!" Cole laughed at Jay's complaint. The Black Ninja lifted the exercise bar off of his team mate with ease, soon helping Jay off of the exercise mat.
" You did good, but had 3 seconds to go. You know what that means, right? Same exercise tomorrow. 75 pounds, fifteen minutes." Jay groaned, soon leaning up against the wall. He was too tired to fight back. But, he could still beg. He looked over at Kai, giving him puppy-dog eyes.
"Kai, please, help?" Kai shook his head.
"Nope, Jay, you need to gain some more muscles, this is good for you. You may be fast, but you also need strength. Take it from a guy with an eight pack. Trust me. You need this."
Jay turned to Lloyd, pleading with his eyes. Lloyd smiled a sad smile.
" Sorry, but I'm with everyone else on this one. Don't bother asking Zane, he also highly approves of Cole training you to get stronger. Give up, Jay, and just roll with it."
Lastly Jay looked over at Nya, who, in response, flexed her muscles.
"Your turn, Jay, show us your muscles." Jay lifted his arm, and flexed. No major difference in size was seen on his arm. Jay sighed. He knew that they were right, but this still sucked.
"Ok, ok, fine. I'm grabbing water. A CUP of water." Jay added after he saw Nya prepare to blast him with her element. She giggled as her now-fiance bolted out of there.
Jay had proposed just a few weeks ago, of course she said yes. Now, she couldn't help see her and Jay grow old together, and have a family. But she, because of her trip to the future months before, knew that she may die soon after they have their first child, a bright girl named Maya. But, they would avoid Nya's death as much as possible going forward.
After Nya died in the future, a whole chain of events took place, changing Jay's, and Maya's, life for the worse. Jay lost his memory, being kidnapped and controlled by his own biological father, and Maya grew up without her parents around. Luckly, when Kai and Nya were stuck in the future, they helped Jay and stopped the Time Twins, soon coming home, solving a fair amount of the future's problems. It was hard to believe that that adventure had happened months ago.
She and Kai had not told anyone, but Jay and Nya had told the others about Skybound a month ago. They were shocked, to say the least, but they soon understood why they kept it a secret. One, it was hard to explain, and two, they were bad memories, especially for Jay, who had been imprisoned by Nadakhan, and watched the love of his life die. Not happy times.
Kai and Nya had agreed to never tell the team what had occurred in the future, as it could mess up the timeline, but found themselves talking about it in private. The memories they developed then were memories they wanted to keep.
"Hey, Nya, have you fixed the computer yet?" Zane asked, curiosity seen in his robotic features. Ah, yes, the computer. It had suddenly shut off the night Nya had watched Back to the Future with Jay, and never turned back on. Everyone blamed Jay, but it was clearly not him. Nothing was wrong with the computer, it just wouldn't turn on. Nya had gotten a new one long ago, but still found herself fascinated to find out what went wrong. Zane, clearly, was too. It was not very often a computer problem would be more complicated than Nya, Zane, Jay or Cyrus Borg could solve. It was intriguing.
Nya shook her head no, " I have no clue what is wrong. But, I will find out, if it's the last thing I do." Zane laughed.
"I know, just remember to get a fair amount of sleep and enough to eat. Your health is our priority, not a broken computer."
"Fine."
Then Nya heard a knock at the door. Wait, a knock at the door? They lived in the Monastery, on the Mountain of Impossible Heights. Who would climb that high to get here? What could they possibly want? Even the Mailman sent the ninja mail via drone now. Cole headed towards the door, going to answer it.
When he opened the door, he saw two teens, one girl, and one boy. The girl was wearing a blue sundress with a grey jacket, her long, auburn hair loose around her shoulders. Her vibrate blue eyes were very noticeable, mush like Jay' wore a huge smile that got Cole smiling, too.
The boy had medium length dirty blond hair. He was wearing a green hoodie and black pants that were slightly ripped. He had a small green scar, starting at his neck, and going up and behind his ear. Huh. Strange.
" Hey, how can I help you two?" Cole asked, curious why these two would come up all of this way.
"Hi, Cole, I'm a huge fan!" The girl said, eyes shining, " We wanted to get some autographs from the Ninja themselves!"
"Wait, autographs? You came up all that way for autographs?"
" Yes! We love the ninja and really wanted to meet you! So, how about it!" She responded, handing him an old notebook with a multi-coloured pen. Cole smiled, and changed the colour to black, signing his name in the book. Then he looked over at the boy.
"Do you want me to sign anything for you, kid? Or are you a Green Ninja fan?"
"Umm...sure, but if it is alright we would love to get Kai and Nya's signatures, too. We're from Jamonikai, and our parents knew them as kids. They're our favourites. No offence." The boy said, giving a small smile.
" Sure, I guess if you climbed up all this way for them I'll grab them for you. Just give me a…" Cole did not finish what he was about to say, as a look of terror appeared on both of the teens faces. The two were looking above him, and, when Cole looked up, he saw some orange dust. Orange dust...could that be…?
"Get inside, now!" Hurry!" Cole said, ushering in the children. The girl began quickly making her way into the house, but, seeing that her friend was not, grabbed his arm and pulled him in.
Cole shut the door, and locked it for good measure. He knew that the Monastery had a protective shield that allowed no evil presence to make their way in, courtesy of one of Sensei Wu's teas, but still wanted to be cautious, even though the evil Djinn could not get in even if he broke down the door.
"What's going on, Cole? I heard some panic...oh….who are these two?" Zane said, walking up to them.
"Just some fans. They wanted to meet us, and get a couple of autographs." Cole responded as Zane took the boy's hand, and shook it.
"I am Zane, and you two are?" The boy sighed, and looked over at the girl. It was the girl who responded, not seeming phased at the ninja surrounding them.
" Ummm….nobody! Yea, we're nobody. Just wanted a few autographs…" She said, laughing nervously and constantly looking at the door. Cole put a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"Don't worry, he's not getting in."
" Who, Cole? Who is not getting in?" Zane asked, confused.
Cole sighed. " Nadakhan. He was outside. No clue how he got out of his teapot, but it was him."
'Wait, Nadakhan's back?!" Jay exclaimed, bursting in the room. " This is not good! He killed Nya, captured all of you, and I don't think I will be able to face him this time! I'm sick and tired of that evil Djinn! When I face him I am gonna一" Then Jay noticed the two strangers. The girl smiled at him awkwardly." Oh, uh, hi...I was totally not panicking there…" Jay said, chuckling nervously. At this point, Kai and Nya heard all of the commotion, and, upon seeing the two teens, stopped short. Lloyd followed them in, nearly bumping into Kai because of the FIre Ninja's sudden stand-still.
" Mo...Maya? What are you two doing here?" Kai asked, confusion written on his face. Nya's expression remained shocked, but a small smile began tugging at her lips.
"Wait, you know them?" Lloyd asked, walking around Kai, who still stood frozen in place. Mo's eyes went wide at the presence of his future father, but he said nothing. Right now, the future Green Ninja had no clue what to do.
Kai turned to the others. " You know how we went to the future? Well, we met these two there. They're from the future."
Now, all of the ninjas' eyes grew wide. Jay's mouth dropped in shock, for once, speechless. Zane studied the two, likely scanning them for any hint on whose children they were. Lloyd stepped away from the two, scared for who knows what reason. The Earth Ninja seemed to be the first to snap out of his shock. Cole turned to them.
" Ok, but that doesn't explain what you guys are doing here in the past. If you even are from the future. Wait, don't tell me. It has something to do with Nadakhan, doesn't it?"
Maya nodded, then looked at Mo, who nodded his head in agreeance. "Yes, we are from the future. Nadakhan sent us here afterーafterー" Maya cut off, suddenly holding back tears. Mo stepped in
"After someone we care about wished us here. Our...friend... didn't want to, but Nadakhan nearly killed Maya to get him to do it."
Nya made her way to Maya, who was now sobbing with unshed tears. She wrapped her future daughter in a hug, being silent. She did not understand what was happening, but she could tell it was bad. Then, Zane spoke up.
"Are you two hungry? Lunch is nearly ready, and we would love to find out more about your predicament." They nodded, making their way to the kitchen. When they entered, though, Sensei Wu was making some tea.
"Ninja, what is all of the commotion? Who are these two children?" He asked, stroking his beard. Mo's mouth dropped, his green eyes shining.
"You'reーyou're Sensei Wu! The Sensei Wu! The son of the First Spinjitzu Master! It's an honor to meet you!" Sensei Wu chuckled at the young man's outburst, and Mo, upon hearing the chuckle got serious once again.
"Sorry, sir, I just never thought I would get to meet you. I should be more responsible." Mo said, his eyes finding the ground. Wu put his hand on Mo's shoulder.
"Don't be sorry, it is alright to get excited. I take it you two are from the future?" They nodded.
"How did you know?" Maya asked, curious.
"Well, if someone is that excited to meet me, I am most likely a legend to them. And, well, I do see many resemblances." He said, gesturing for everyone to sit down at the table. Then, the food was served.
Man, I must really love writing this, this chapter could have gone on forever! I knew that I had to cut off the chapter, or else it would be crazy long, so that's my explanation for the strange end spot for this chapter. Thanks for reading, stay tuned and review!
