Rebekah and Elijah were walking through the French Quarter streets, talking about recent events. When Rebekah mentioned that someone might've stolen the magic for The Harvest, it wasn't exactly surprising, but he didn't have too much to say, dealing with the fact that Katerina was still gone.
"Rebekah, we are all devastated by the outcome of this ritual," Elijah reminded her.
"That's just it. There was no outcome. We both know that power like that doesn't just vanish. I say someone stole it. I'd like to know who, and then maybe I'll make them my ally. I'm tired of being threatened and controlled by our tyrant brother. If you wanted to stop a bully, you need the power to stand up to them," she replied, thought it really only depended on who had stolen it. If it was an enemy, she'd take them down. If it wasn't an enemy, then she'd ally herself with them.
"I expect such behavior from Niklaus. It's so very disappointing when it comes from you, Rebekah. Do you not see that, in his way, he's making an effort here?"
"Yes. He's in a brilliant mood now, but for how long? It's his trick, Elijah. He lulls you into a false sense of camaraderie and kinship, and then he turns on you like a snake. I fall for it every time and wind up with a dagger in my heart for my trouble. No more."
"I believe that he is approaching some semblance of peace here. Leadership may, in fact, be a good thing for him. Now, sister, please, I ask you, if you cannot support him, then at least do nothing to provoke him," Elijah replied. "Speaking of family though, Katerina told me something. She had a plan b. You remember the story of Freya. Turns out, our elder sister is alive."
"How is that even possible? We were told that she died. It happened before we were born," Rebekah replied.
"Our mother lied to us. Katerina took me to a place in the French Quarter where Freya slumbers. If Freya is as powerful as Katerina told me, she can help us get Katerina and Davina back. There's a catch to this, though. Freya has been a prisoner to our Aunt Dahlia since she was a little girl, because our mother used magic since she couldn't have children. The eldest of each generation was the price. Dahlia is as powerful as our mother. If we wake up Freya, we risk Dahlia waking up early, as well. Are you willing to risk facing another demon to have the ones we care about back?"
"Of course. What are we waiting for?"
After Freya was awoken from her slumber and Elijah and Rebekah explained to her how they found her, as well as why they woke her up early, Freya was more than ready to help. She agreed that she would help, because though she didn't know Davina, she knew Katherine very well.
"We have to work quickly," Freya told them, as they walked through the streets, once she'd located where the stolen Harvest magic was. Then, when they found out who stole it, it looked to be a witch named Sabine. The one with the visions. Elijah sensed that something was different though, so he assumed her to be someone else inside Sabine. They couldn't do anything though, because Sabine was touring through the cemetery, so there were witnesses.
"Well, now we know who stole the magic," Rebekah stated.
"I don't think that's Sabine," Elijah said.
"It's not. Other than Katherine, who have or are you still in love with? I feel like she was once close to you," Freya said.
"There was one other person," Elijah stated. "A witch. We can deal with her later. At least, we know now. Are you able to bring Katerina and Davina back now?"
"I need a few things, but yes. I can bring them both back without a problem," Freya informed him.
Later that day, Freya brought them both back, making everyone happy, though Klaus was still dealing with figuring out whether to trust Freya or not. He didn't think Katerina would lie about them having another sister, but that didn't mean Klaus trusted her yet.
About three hours after being brought back and settled, Katherine stood in Elijah's room with Elijah, but were interrupted when they heard some news from a vampire that said that there was trouble. They then followed with Klaus, Rebekah, and Freya. That's when they found some dead vampires on the ground, a symbol on their foreheads, desiccated.
"Either someone's copycatting, or there's someone else that came back from the dead," Katherine stated, recognizing the symbol.
"I agree," Elijah stated.
"I'm going to find whoever did this. Then they're going to know what suffering is," Klaus stated, before leaving.
They watched Klaus go.
Later, Rebekah was by herself, searching for whoever was doing the sacrifices. She was at the cauldron inside a warehouse, but stopped in her tracks, seeing animal bones inside a salt circle. That's when she realized that someone wanted it to be found. Then, when she turned around, she saw Papa Tunde.
"Mademoiselle Mikaelson," Papa Tunde greeted.
"That's not possible," she said.
"Sure, it is, chére. It's magic."
Rebekah sped toward him to try to kill him, but Papa Tunde simply reached out and grabbed her by the throat.
"Symbole du masque et de l'ombre, embrace-toi. Embrace-toi. Symbole du masque et de l'ombre, embrace-toi. Embrace-toi. Symbole du masque et de l'ombre, embrace-toi. Embrace-toi. Symbole du masque et de l'ombre, embrace-toi."
Rebekah started to desiccate.
While everyone else was in separate areas of New Orleans searching for Rebekah, Rebekah lay inside a salt circle in the warehouse, Papa Tunde standing by Sabine whom Celeste had body jumped into.
"Will that be enough to make Klaus suffer?" Celeste in Sabine's body asked.
"I will hurt Klaus Mikaelson as he hurt me. When I am done, he will wish that he could die," Papa Tunde replied.
About half an hour later, Kat and Elijah found Rebekah in warehouse 57, desiccated inside a salt circle. Although Elijah tried, he couldn't get through the barrier to get to Rebekah, though.
"Let me try," Kat said, before using active magic to break the barrier, which actually worked. Then Elijah was able to remove Rebekah from the salt circle. "You get Rebekah home. I'm going to make sure Klaus doesn't get himself into trouble. If Papa Tunde is truly alive again, he'll be after Klaus. Now that I have active magic, I can help Klaus if he runs into any trouble with him."
"Be careful, Katerina," Elijah said, before leaving with Rebekah.
When Kat finally found where Klaus was, she found Marcel as well. He'd been helping in trying to locate who was responsible, but now it looked like he wasn't going to be useful anymore. She didn't much care of Marcel lived or not, though. All she cared about was stopping Papa Tunde from consuming the power of a hybrid, as well as saving Klaus, considering he was almost finished with him.
Kat fully entered Rousseau's, closing the door quietly behind her. Then she magically threw Papa Tunde away from him, hoping that she wasn't too late.
He got to his feet, as she stood between Klaus and Papa Tunde.
"You care about him now, I see," Tunde stated.
"I've forgiven his dastardly deeds he's done, so I do care. Besides, you take one out. You risk the others coming after you for revenge. Get lost," she replied.
He began to approach.
"I'm not leaving until it's completed."
"Then I don't have any choice," Katherine said, before concentrating on a certain spell she'd learned. A spell to stop his heart. Then she magically snapped his neck, before turning her attention to Klaus and Marcel. Looking at them both more, she knew that Marcel was done for, but she hoped she could save him. Unlike the last 500 years that she'd had to run from him, she wouldn't wish him dead. She knelt by Klaus, resting a hand on the side of his face, figuring out what to do. She didn't know what would happen if she fed him, because she didn't know if coming back to life as a human again meant that the cure was still inside of her or not. She decided after a few moments of debating, to take the risk. She then used a piece of glass close by from a broken frame that had been on a wall to cut her wrist. She then put her wrist to his lips, making her blood go down his throat to save him. "Come on, Klaus. Come back to me," she called to him. Then, after about twenty minutes, she felt him bite into her wrist and put a hand around her arm, which relieved her, even though it did hurt. And as he continued to feed, the desiccation slowly began to disappear. Thought it hurt, she made sure to stay still, not wanting to pull away too soon. When it was time though, because he didn't quite know who he was feeding from, she had to try and stop him. "Klaus," she called, but since that didn't work, she changed things. "Niklaus, stop," she said, which finally made stop, since she knew she couldn't pull away from a hybrid's grip. She was then finally able to pull away her wrist.
"Katerina?" he said, awake enough now to know who it was. Then it dawned on him that she'd probably fed him, since the last thing he'd seen was Papa Tunde.
"It's okay," she assured him. "Everything's going to be okay now. I saved you, though I was afraid I might be a little late." She then helped him up.
He got to his feet with her help, which was when he saw a dead Papa Tunde. Then he saw Marcel. He was glad that she'd killed Papa Tunde, but had hoped that Marcel would be okay. He wasn't, though.
"We'll get things ready in a little while, but you're still weak. I need to help you get home," she told him, giving him reason, since she knew all he probably wanted was to have a funeral right now. She knew he still cared about him, even though Marcel had done infuriating things recently.
After Marcel had been taken care of, Klaus held himself up in his room, drinking from a bottle of Bourbon.
Celeste in Sabine's body came into Rousseau's, where she picked up Papa Tunde's knife. Tunde was gone, his body having been burned not too long ago by the Mikaelsons, but they'd left the knife. When Celeste picked it up and searched for the power within the knife though, there wasn't enough power in it for her to give an Original torment. That angered her, so she decided to come up with a different plan. Another way to hurt Klaus.
