Chapter 5! Sorry it took a bit longer….but here it is! Thanks to fiztclaire37, Beatitude Girl, RPM Shadow, and Jaell for reviewing the last chapter! Enjoy!

"Mo, Maya! It's time for breakfast!" Kai shouted as he set the table with Zane. The amazing smell of the Nindroid's cooking traveled through the air, leading the two ninja from the future to the kitchen.

"Mmmm….it smells amazing, Zane!" Maya said as she sat down beside Nya.

Mo sat down beside Lloyd, giggling. " Yea, nearly as good as Liam's."

Lloyd laughed. "Was that a joke? No one cooks better than Zane!"

"Well, Liam does."

Cole looked at Mo, confusion written on his features. " Who's Liam?" Mo's eyes went wide when he realized what he had done, but luckily Maya jumped in and saved him.

"The team's cook. His lasagna is the best!"

"I thought we agreed to not tell them the finer details of the future?" Kai asked, digging into the meal.

"Oh, come on! It's fun! And, besides, we really miss our team, as we haven't seen them in over a month, and we should remember the best parts of the future because we will not return there in quite a while….Oh! And we have to keep our spirits up, with all of the stress, and Nadakhan, and the constant fear that we will have to eat Cole's food…." Maya said quickly before being interrupted by Cole.

"Hey! My food isn't that bad!"

"Even though we're younger, it doesn't mean we don't know how bad your cooking is. I would stick to dancing if I were you...but isn't that Jay and Nya's thing?" Mo added.

"What?" Jay said, looking scared. Nya giggled, but was surprised as well. She never considered herself much of a dancer.

"That's….surprising." Zane said matter-of-factly.

"Almost as surprising as you guys liking princesses." Mo breathed under his breath.

"What was that?" Lloyd asked, but Mo shook his head.

"It was nothing."

"Anyways, onto more disturbing matters." Zane said, revealing a map. A red circle was drawn in it, right in the middle of the Sea of Sands. Jay's messy handwriting could be seen, noting things like Secret hideout? And Is he alone? Or does he have his crew members with him? Nya looked over to Jay for some answers, but his eyes were focused on the map, and nothing else. His girlfriend also saw something foriegn in the Blue Ninja's eyes. Was that...anger? Hate? Determination?

"Jay and I were up bright and early, despite the lack of sleep, trying to find Nadakhan. As you can see, he is in the Sea of Sands. Jay?"

Now it was Jay's turn to speak up. " Nadakhan previously had two goals in mind. One, to defeat the Ninja, and two, to make Ninjago into his own home, Djinjago. He did this by gaining infinite wishes. As Maya and Mo have told us, this is not the case this time around. He wants to break me, which needs a completely different game plan. I'm sure he has other ideas in mind, but first he's going to take me down." Jay closed his eyes, trying to keep his breathing even. It's not often he was the leader. He was the funny one, not the strategist. This just felt strange.

" That is why I don't think he bothered to get his crewmates. They would help, but he wants to take me, and the Ninja, down by his own hand. For revenge. So, I think he's alone."

"I sent out my Falcon." Zane continued, " When we found the evil Djinn, he was just standing there. I believe that he is waiting for us. He truly has no defenses whatsoever."

"So, we attack him head on!" Kai said, standing up. "We attack him, all of us, all at once. He will not stand a chance!"

"Did you forget he can teleport, Kai? Or didn't we tell you?" Jay spat out, anger flashing in his eyes.

"Jay, dude, calm down, I just forgot." Kai said, raising his arms defensively. Not ever has he seen Jay this mad, not even when the whole love triangle thing was going on.

"Just forgot? Well, that's fortunate! At least you can forget! Oh, wait, you don't even remember what happened. Only what we told you, because I reversed time, forcing Nya and I to be the only ones that remember! And you know what, Kai? I wish I could forget! I wish I could forget all the pain, suffering, and guilt I experienced then! And even experience now!" At this Jay looked up, fists clenched. He was yelling, tears streaming down his cheeks.

"Hear that, Nadakhan? I wish you would just go away! I wish all of the memories would go away! You know what, I'll just say it! I wish it all away, Nadakhan! I wish it all away!"

Everyone was silent. Did he just say that? Kai took out his sword, half expecting the Djinn to show up in their dining room. After a couple of moments of apprehension, Nya went over to Jay, who was now sobbing, curled up against the wall. She pulled him into a hug, trying to comfort him.

"Why didn't he show up? He said wish, like, 5 times." Kai asked softly, not wanting to hurt Jay anymore than he was. The group could hear the Blue Ninja's soft I'm sorry's as he tried to stop crying.

"Remember? Sensei Wu used that Protective Tea around our base. Nadakhan could not get in. Maybe the Tea also allows no enemy to hear what goes on in here as well?" Zane responded.

Maya ran to the window, searching for any sign of the Djinn. She sighed with relief.

"He's not out there. Luckly."

"Good. We can't lose anyone to that Blade." Cole said as he watched Nya usher Jay to his room. Now, they could talk freely. Mo sighed, and put his head in his hands.

"Hey, I'm the leader right now, not you. So, don't stress." Lloyd said, putting a comforting hand on his future son's back. Mo shook his head.

"I don't think Jay should come with us. If Nadakahn says the right things to him...we could lose Jay. He's in a way too emotional state to face him."

"I hate to say it, but Mo's right. Jay should not fight Nadakhan. He will stay here, while the rest of us go get that Pirate. Three hours, then we ride to the Sea of Sands?" Cole said, dumping his plate in the sink, looking at his team for agreeance. Everyone nodded their heads.

"Oww! Kai suddenly said, drawing his hand away from Maya, who he had attempted to give a hug to. Lightning danced off of her body, and Maya cowered away from everyone. " What was that for?"

"Sorry! Just, whenever I get stressed I randomly spark lightning and water forms from nowhere. It just happens. I'm so sorry, Uncle, er, Just Kai!" When she said this, rain began falling inside of the house, light, but still getting everyone and everything wet. Maya smiled awkwardly, and ran to the training yard, bringing the rain with her.

Kai couldn't help but snicker. If he shot flames when he was mad, boy, they would have to have rebuilt the home dozens of times.

"Has she always been like that, Mo?" Zane asked, curious about the whole situation. Mo shrugged.

"It's a result of having more than one power. A curse, we call it. Our powers are too much for our bodies to handle, so we have to suffer with them. She can't control her element when stressed, while I," at this he showed the team his green scar, stretching from his ear down to his shoulder, "have this scar that grows when I am anxious."

"Oh." Was all Zane could say, as he pitied both of them.

"Okay, I'm tired of waiting. Let's get ready to face Nadakhan!" Cole said, heading towards the weapons room. Everyone followed, all except Lloyd and Mo.

Mo looked at his future father, worry evident in his eyes. Lloyd put a hand on his shoulder, trying to comfort him.

" Is it really wise to face him? Right now? I don't feel ready." Mo said, looking at his shoes. Luckly, Lloyd knew exactly what to say, as he has felt this same way before, many, many times.

" You'll never be ready. I never was, but I still pushed through. Our team, we do not put off to tomorrow what can be done today, and we never give up. We can do anything. Just trust us. Trust yourself."

"Book 145, page 13, line 5." Mo said.

"What?"

" That quote you just said? That's where you can find it. Sorry, it's a habit of mine."

Lloyd laughed. It was hard to believe Mo was his son. " So, I take it that that helped?"

"Much. Thanks."

10 hours later….

How did they let this happen? How could they have been so stupid? It was a trap. All of it.

Kai sat beside Maya outside, thinking about what had happened. Tears were in his eyes. No. No. This can't be real.

They had faced Nadakhan. Without telling Jay. They left him behind. But, they didn't just fight Nadakhan. He, unlike what Jay had theorized, had gotten his crew back. Dogshank. Doubloon. Flintlocke. Monkey Wretch. Even Clancee. The poor snake. He really wasn't a bad guy.

So, they fought the Sky Pirates in the Sea of Sand. Everyone but Jay, and Nadakhan realized that. So, the evil Djinn left for what they guessed was their home. The ninja figured that Jay must've been outside, where the Protection Tea did not reach, looking for everyone, because they came home, and Jay was gone.

The only thing that they could see at first look was a note written in orange ink, saying I won. He wished it all away.

They were going to look at the security footage soon, hoping they would see what happened, but one thing was sure.

Jay was alone. Nadakhan got to him. And now he's gone.

I'm sorry! I had to do it!

Just so you know...

I'm going on vacation! Yay! So, I may not update for about 2 weeks. I hope the next chapters will be worth the wait!
