Sorry I haven't published a new chapter for a few weeks, I hope this makes up for it. Please enjoy.
Fitz walked outside the cabin and went straight to Simmons and Alya. Simmons was showing Alya how to paint outside. They were making a painting of the landscape in front of the cabin.
"Hey." Fitz said as he approached them.
"Hey." Simmons said. He sat down on the blanket she set up. Simmons walked straight towards Fitz and sat down next to him.
"How is she doing?" Fitz asked.
"She's a natural." Simmons answered.
"Yes she is." Fitz agreed. They both sat in complete silence for a few moments, watching their daughter paint.
"I got a surprise for you." Simmons said.
"Really, what is it?" Fitz asked. Simmons reached into the picnic basket she set up.
"I made you your favorite." she brought out a wrapped up sandwich and handed it to Fitz.
Fitz smiled as he unwrapped the sandwich and smelled it for a moment.
"Prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella, with a hint of pesto aioli." Fitz took a bite off of the sandwich. He turned his attention back to his daughter, who was still painting.
"I made a smaller one for her." Simmons mentioned.
"Yeah she would love that."
Mack was waiting for Daisy and Daniel to arrive. He had just got off the phone with Daisy who said they were on their way from the club at the triskelion.
He had invited them both to have dinner with him and yoyo at their apartment tonight. He wanted to spend some time with them as friends again before they leave and went their separate ways again.
He hears a knock at the door. He went over and opened it, and smiled as soon as he saw Daisy and Daniel standing outside his door.
"Hey Mack."
"Hey Daisy." Mack hugged Daisy as she entered the room.
"Sir." Daniel said before shaking his hand.
"Please, you don't have to call me sir." Mack insisted, "please come in." Daisy went over and hugged yoyo.
"This is a nice place you both have." Daniel said, admiring the apartment.
"Yes it is," Mack agreed, "please take a seat." Mack told Daisy and Daniel. They both grabbed a chair and sat together at the table. Mack and yoyo sat down.
"I'm glad you both can come here tonight." Mack said.
"Mack, you know we wouldn't miss this for anything." Daisy said.
"Well, needless to say, i am really grateful that you're here tonight."
Kora was still at the club with Deke, drinking, telling each other stories, and getting to know each other. He had just told her that he's from the future and how he met the team. She was just telling him about her time training to be a shield agent.
"Wait, so you're a pilot on Zephyr 3 now?" Deke asked.
"Yes, I learned how to fly back at the academy."
"Which academy?" Deke asked.
"Coulson academy."
"Wait, there's an academy named after Coulson?"
"Yeah, they didn't tell you?"
"They got me caught up on a lot of things, but not this," Deke answered, "I guess i have missed a lot."
"Yeah you definitely did." they both smiled. Kora noticed he began to look behind her.
"They have karaoke here?" Deke asked. Kora turned her head to see.
"Yes they do. Why?"
"Nothing It's just….I used to have my own band back in the 80's." deke explained.
"Really?"
"Yeah. I set up this band as a cover for our shield activity back in the 80's, though I really did love being out on stage." Kora nodded. She already knew that he used to have his own band, she read it in his journal, along with the love songs he wrote for Daisy.
"So, you've spent over a year traveling in space, what's it like?" Deke asked.
"It's been quite a journey. Me, Daisy and Daniel have set up our own team, along with Nick fury, since he already established a space station out there. We explored different worlds, met new alien species, and recorded everything we found."
"Like star trek." Kora smiled slightly at that remark.
"Yeah, like star trek."
"You know I spent my entire life in a space station and I never got a chance to explore the universe."
"Maybe you should come with us someday for our next exploration," Kora offered, "It's really beautiful out there."
"Maybe I'll consider your invitation." Deke replied. Kora looked at the clock on the corner wall.
"Well, guess I'm gonna get going."
"Where are you going?" Deke asked.
"Back to the hotel I'm staying at, it's getting late." Kora got up from the chair she was sitting at at the bar.
"Mind if i walk with you to the hotel?" Deke asked. Kora thought about it for a moment.
"Yeah, Sure." Kora replied. He got up from his chair and followed her as they both left the club.

As they walked down the street, Kora and Deke continued to talk to each other. She was surprised when he told her about the time he betrayed her sister back in the future. Yet at the same time, she was kind of glad that he did tell her.
It was nice to know that she wasn't the only person who got off on the wrong foot with Daisy and her team.
"Well, this is me right here." Kora said.
"Well, I guess i should be going then." Deke said. He raised out his right hand.
"It was nice getting to know you Kora."
"You too." Kora took her hand out and shook his. they both broke off the hand shake and Deke walked away without either of them saying another word.
Kora stood outside for a moment, watching Deke walk a few more steps away before she went inside the hotel.
