Aurora De Martel, Klaus' ex fiancee, had just arrived in town, so she went for a visit at the compound. She was ready to seek her revenge on Elijah. She was also ready to try and win Klaus back.
The red-head entered the compound, finding out exactly where they lived, and found more than just Klaus there. She recognized one person to be a doppelganger, so she found it weird that Klaus had yet to kill her.
"Hello, lover. Long time no see," she greeted Klaus.
Klaus hadn't expected to ever see her again, so he was surprised. He hadn't thought about her in quite a long time.
"What are you doing here?" Klaus wanted to know.
Kat didn't know her, so she had to ask, "Anyone want to fill me in?"
"She's his ex that killed herself with Rebekah's blood in her system," Elijah informed her. He left out one thing that was important, though. He didn't think it was time to tell Katerina that he hadn't exactly been the best person during the knight and castle age.
"Lovely," Kat said sarcastically.
"I thought I'd visit your city I heard that you're so fond of," Aurora told Klaus, before standing not too far from the rest of them that were there. Then she looked at the doppelganger. "Oh, but your present love left out one important detail. He compelled me after I let spill that Klaus told me a secret that no one else knew. That he killed their mother. I think it was his first time, but once he knew what he'd done, he didn't undo it. Then he compelled me to say anything to Klaus to make him leave without me. I would've ran with them, but Elijah chose to keep us apart. He ruined our happy ever after."
"You were insane. You still are. You would've ruined everything. I was working to find his redemption, but you always tainted him. You always brought out the worst in him," Elijah defended.
She looked at Elijah.
"That may be so, but there was a time that Klaus loved that about me." She made one quick decision that would hurt Elijah. "Now, I'm going to ruin your happy ever after," she said. Then, in a blur, she had Katherine and was gone, before anyone could stop her.
"Bloody hell!" Rebekah blurted.
Klaus was upset at what Elijah had done back then, but he always wasn't happy at Aurora taking Katerina. He'd grown fond of her in the past year or two that she'd been living with them. She wasn't so bad as a human.
"There's still time. We can catch up with them. She couldn't have gone far," Elijah said, and was about to leave, but Klaus stopped him with a hand on his arm.
"I assure you, we'll find them. She'll have a plan in motion, though. We need our own plan first," Klaus reasoned with him.
Elijah knew he was right, even though he wanted to go after Aurora right now. He didn't want to think of what Aurora was going to do to Katerina. She was human. Magic or not, she couldn't really defend herself against Aurora. She was almost like an Original, considering Rebekah was her sire. That, and because of her age as a vampiress.
Aurora let Katherine go when they were inside what used to be used as a fight club for vampires. It wasn't used anymore, though. When she did, Katherine fell to the cement floor and then looked at her.
"You know, Elijah was right to do what he did. If he hadn't done that, you two would've been happy, but Klaus never would have found his humanity again. You don't really know him anymore," Kat told her.
"How about you just be quiet," Aurora said. "And don't even think about trying to escape," she added. Then Aurora left her to go add to her plan.
That night, they finally found Kat whom was just find, since she'd used magic to take down the vampires Aurora had put in the vampire club. It had been a test to see if either of them could find her in time, which they had done.
However, because they'd left the compound not exactly protected, Rebekah having been helping them hunt down where Kat had been taken to, as well as Davina having moved into her own place by now, Aurora was able to take Freya.
After they all came back to the compound, Klaus noticed that the trinket was gone that he'd made Rebekah 1,000 years ago out of White Oak. Then they all realized that Freya was missing, which meant that she had the only weapon she could use to kill Elijah. She also had Freya, which meant that she had to be in trouble.
"Don't worry. We'll find her," Kat assured them. "We just need to do a locator spell. The easiest way would be Mikaelson blood. As we know, blood calls blood."
They agreed and she did the locator spell, which led to the Bayou.
Meanwhile, Aurora had finished creating White Oak bullets for Elijah and whoever stood in her way. She was more than ready to kill Elijah. As for Freya, well, she was a distraction and a way to get Elijah out of the compound, preferably alone.
It was daylight, as they trudged through the Bayou, searching for Freya.
"You know, this would be quicker if we split up," Kat stated.
"Katerina's right. I'll go look for my ex," Klaus replied.
"I'll go find her, too. We'll split up and cover more ground," Rebekah agreed.
"We'll look for Freya then," Kat said.
After a while of walking separated, Klaus and Rebekah in different areas in search of Aurora, Elijah and Kat looking for Freya, Aurora found Kat and Elijah before they could find Freya.
"I was wondering when you were all going to split up," Aurora said, before shooting Elijah once, making him land on the ground in pain. "Now, you can all decide who to save first. Elijah or the witch. If you can, that is. You know what White Oak does to an Original," Aurora added.
For a moment, Kat was shocked, before going to where Elijah was. She couldn't pull the bullet out, because it was too deep for her to grab, but there was one thing she could do. She could try to use magic to pull it out, even though she couldn't see it. Just when she was debating though, she heard something and looked to see Klaus and Rebekah. Klaus was facing off with Aurora.
Rebekah came over to Katherine and Elijah.
"You need to pull the bullet out. It's White Oak."
"What are you going to do?" Rebekah inquired.
"I'm going to find Freya. Whoever finishes first with this situation can follow me," she replied, before getting up and leaving both scenes.
Rebekah went in search of it to get it out.
Klaus soon dealt with Aurora and, having heard what Katerina had said, went to follow her. Then they finally found a spot that looked like one of the spots had something buried. Klaus couldn't pinpoint which area Freya was though, because Aurora had put vervain and wolfsbane on the plant that was on top of each area.
After Rebekah finally saved Elijah from the bullet when she took it out, Rebekah took care of Aurora's body, while Elijah went to find Katerina and Klaus whom had been looking for Freya. Then, when he found them, there were a couple graves dug up with two empty wooden crates by them.
"Great. You can help us find her. Aurora created a game out of this. It looks like something similar she did with Katerina," he informed Elijah.
Elijah pitched in once he told him that, helping to locate their eldest sister, which worked after two more graves were dug up. The last crate was definitely the one, since those that were supernatural could smell the blood when it was dug up.
Klaus and Elijah got the crate out of the grave, before setting it down on solid ground. Then Klaus broke the lock to the crate. Then Kat opened it, revealing her to be injured. Then Klaus and Elijah layed her down on solid ground, before Klaus untied her hands.
"She's still alive," he informed, since he knew Katerina needed to know. Then he went to bite his wrist, but she stopped him when she spoke.
"Not yet. Someone needs to get the bullet out first."
Klaus knew she was right.
Elijah got the bullet out. Then Kat magically healed her wound. They then found Rebekah, so everyone went home.
Freya woke up after a while. When she did, she saw Katherine seated on her bedside. She also realized that she was healed.
"Thanks," Freya said, sitting up in bed.
Kat handed her a bottle of water to help her regain her strength.
"You're welcome. I convinced them to let me heal you, considering the trouble we've been having lately," Kat replied.
"Well, you did a pretty good job," Freya congratulated.
They both gave a smile at one another, glad that they were both okay.
