(three days later)
Daisy was surprised when she went down in the hangar to find Yoyo, Piper and Davis standing right outside Zephyr three.
"Hey, what are you guys doing here?" Daisy asked.
"We actually need your help." Yoyo said.
"With what?" Daisy asked.
"We're trying to catch a group of people who committed several bank, jewelry and art heists all across the country. We've been tracking them down for nearly two months, and now we think we know where they're headed." yoyo handed Daisy a tablet.
"Paris. So you need us to take you to paris?" Daisy asked.
"Not just that. Some of these people have powers, at least one of them can move objects and throw people across the room with their mind."
"And you need me and Kora as backup in case you can't take them all on by yourself."
"Yes." yoyo responded. Daisy stared at the table for a moment.
"Ok, we'll get the Zephyr ready."
"Hey Deke." Deke turned around from the microscope and found Daisy standing behind him.
"Hey, Daisy, what are you doing here?"
"Well, for starters, we could actually use your help."
"Really?" With what?" Deke asked.
"We need you to come with us on Zephyr 3, for a mission we're doing with Yoyo, Piper and Davis."
"What kind of mission?" Deke asked.
"They need our help catching a group of international thieves." Daisy explained. "Yoyo said that some of these thieves have powers, and they are using them to break into places and steal money, art, and expensive jewelry." Deke sat in silence for a moment.
"Don't you guys already have an engineer Zephyr three?"
"We do, but none are quite like you or Fitz. Plus Mack had mentioned that you wanted to be back out on the field again."
"Yeah, I did ask him if i could be on the field with a team, but he said that no one was really looking to add anybody else with them."
"Well, today's your lucky day." Daisy said, "So, what do you say?" Deke took a moment to think.
"Ok, I'll go with you." Deke answered. "Just give me a few minutes to finish up here and get ready." Deke said.
"Ok, see you at the hangar." Daisy said before she left the room.
Kora stood watching as the agents in the hangar brought Davis's car onto Zephyr three. She stood right next to Daisy as she stared at a tablet.
"Everything's almost in place, we'll be ready to fly out of here in five minutes." Kora said.
"Ok." Daisy responded. Just as Kora was about to walk away, she saw Deke walking straight to Zephyr three, carrying a silver briefcase.
"What's he doing down here?" Kora asked Daisy.
"I asked him to come along with us and help us on this mission." Daisy explained.
"You did?"
"Yeah, we might need him in this mission, plus he wanted to get back into the field." Daisy walked away, leaving Kora standing for a moment. she walked right over to Deke.
"Hey."
"Hey. So, this is the new Zephyr three?" Deke asked.
"Yes." kora answered.
"Looks pretty impressive."
"Yes it is." Kora agreed.
"Hey, at least I get a chance to see you fly." Deke said. Kora slightly smiled in response.
"Let me give you a tour."
"Yeah sure, lead the way." Deke followed Kora as she showed him around on Zephyr three.
It only took them an hour or so to get to France. They landed in an empty field somewhere only a few miles outside of Paris. The plan seemed simple enough, Yoyo Piper and Davis will drive to a supposed place that the thieves were hiding out.
Davis was driving the car as they were only a few miles away from the building. Piper was scanning the area on her tablet.
"It doesn't look like there's anybody out here for miles." Piper said. Yoyo looked out the window from the back seat.
"Ok, I'll rush in and scout the area. Make sure you're out of sight in case they're still inside." Yoyo told Davis. She opened the car door and used her speed to rush to the location.
The place outside looked like an abandoned apartment building. It was miles away from the nearest French town.
"It doesn't look like anybody's home." Yoyo said over comm.
"Yeah, as far as i can tell, no one's been in this place for decades."
"I'm going in." Yoyo said. She walked into the building and she slowly walked around and searched the place. The first thing she noticed was the smell of something burning.
She slowly made her way up the stairs and followed the burning smell to another room. The first thing she saw when entering was a fireplace. She went over and saw that there was still smoke coming from the fireplace, like it had just been snuffed out.
She went to a wooden table and found a piece of paper.
"I found something." yoyo said on comm.
"What is it?" Piper asked.
"I think I know where their next job is going to be."
"Hey, what's going on?" kora asked Daisy.
"There's an art gala going on in Paris tonight." Daisy explained. "Some of the richest and wealthiest people in the world will be there, along with some art and jewelry worth a lot of money. We think that's where the thieves are planning their next heist."
"Ok, what's the plan?" Kora asked.
"Well, Me and Daniel are going to go undercover at the gala. Yoyo, Piper and Davis are going to stay outside to look for the thieves and in case we need backup."
"Daisy, if it's alright, I would like to go with you on this mission."
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Daisy asked. "You know this will be your first mission undercover if you do this."
"I know that, and I can do it." Kora said. Daisy stood in silence for a moment.
"Ok, I'll hack us the invitations to get us into the party."
"Thanks. Kora said before she began to walk away.
Daisy and Daniel walked down the streets of Paris, on their way to the gala. It was the first time Daisy had been in the city. They had to stop by a place to get the proper clothes first before they head off.
"You know, the last time i was in Paris was in ww2, after the allies liberated the city." Daniel mentioned.
"And what do you think of this place now?" Daisy asked.
"It's definitely different, but Kinda better." Daniel replied. "Maybe once this is over, we can spend some time here, just you and me." Daisy smiled at that suggestion.
"I'd love that. But first let's focus on the mission."
They arrived at the gala a minute later. They can see Davis's car parked outside. They used their fake identities and invitations to get in.
The palace they entered was grand, luxurious, and was full of the richest and wealthiest people in the world. It Kinda reminded Daisy of her first undercover mission 7 years ago.
Daisy looked over the crowd for a few moments.
"you're worried about Kora?" Daniel asked.
"I am." Daisy admitted.
"She can handle herself, you know that."
"I know that. It's just that, this is her first undercover mission."
"Daisy, kora knows what she's doing, she'll be fine." Daniel reassured her.
"And In the meantime, let's celebrate a toast," he grabbed two glasses of champagne and handed one to Daisy "to us, and our mission here in Paris together." Daniel suggested. Daisy smiled as they both clinked their glasses and drank their champagne.
