Request by Seleine16: Jay meeting Cole and Zane when Wu recruited him! I hope you guys enjoy it, especially you, Seleine16!

Jay shifted his weight as Sensei Wu opened the door leading to the Monastery, constantly glancing down at the ground far below them. Did he really climb that high? Jay wasn't afraid of heights, not by a long shot (he assumed that his habit of jumping off buildings with wings did that to him), but this was a freakishly high mountain.

He told himself that that was why he was scared. He was scared of the location of his new home, not the people he was going to live with.

Definitely not. No way. He wasn't afraid of people.

As the large gate opened, Jay shuddered. He knew he was lying to himself.

When Sensei Wu asked if he wanted to be on a team, he knew that he would meet new people.

He just wasn't ready for the fear of meeting his teammates.

As a kid, he had no friends, he was the weirdest kid to exist. Forget about talking to girls, he couldn't even talk to boys. He couldn't talk to anyone.

And, now he was expected to live with another student of Sensei Wu's, with two more on the way.

He doesn't know how he would make it.

Jay followed Sensei Wu into the Monastery, and shuddered. This was not going to end well.

"Can you wait here while I grab Cole?" Sensei Wu asked, and Jay gave a small nod. As if Wu read his mind, the olde rman placed a comforting hand on his student's shoulder.

"It will be okay, Jay."

Jay gulped. "Th-thanks."

Sensei Wu returned a moment later, and a buff teen followed him. He had huge muscles and jet black hair. Suddenly aware of how skinny he himself was, Jay stood a little taller, and tried to give a confident smile.

"Jay, this is Cole. Cole, Jay."

Cole gave a small smile. "Hi. It's good to meet you."

"S-same." Oh, no, why did I stutter? Jay, you're so chicken! Cole's going to hate you now! Jay thought, and Cole's face softened.

"Nervous?"

Jay nodded. "I'm not good at making friends."

Cole gave a shrug. "Neither am I. I can't even get along with my own father."

This shocked Jay. "Wait, really? I'm sorry."

"Thanks, I am, too, but my avoidance of my father brought me to Wu. I was climbing mountains to stay away from my dad's plan for my life when Wu found me. You?"

Jay smiled. He was really liking Cole. "Oh, I was testing out my invention and decided to jump off of a building. Don't worry, though, I had wings, which worked until I rammed into a billboard. Wu was sitting behind it, and asked if I wanted to be a Ninja right then and there."

Cole laughed. "You talk a lot, should I be worried?"

"Oh, sorry, I'll一" Jay stuttered, but Cole raised his hand.

"I'm kidding. Do you want some cake? There's some in the kitchen."

Wu snickered behind them. "Make up three plates, Cole, and I'll make some tea."

Jay and Cole were best friends. It was after a particularly tough training session that Wu had to run an errand, whatever that meant. As Jay placed a cold cloth on his forehead to cool off, he wondered when they were getting a new recruit, Sensei had been talking about it for a while now.

"Hey, Cole, do you think that Sensei is getting a new student soon? Like, today?"

Cole snorted. "I doubt it. I'm sure that old man has a girlfriend, he goes on so many 'trips' it's hilarious."

"You think he has a love interest? No way."

Cole patted Jay on the back. "I'm sure of it. It's sad that he probably has a girlfriend when you don't."

"You don't have a girlfriend, either!"

"Students, why are you fighting?" Sesei Wu said as he walked through the Monastery doors. Cole and Jay jumped to attention, and couldn't help notice the white-haired boy trailing behind him.

"Zane, this is Cole and Jay. Students, meet your new teammate."

"I love your hair!" Jay said enthusiastically, and Zane blinked.

"Thank you…?" He said, a bit confused.

"That's just Jay, you'll get used to him. Should we show you our room?"

"Alright." He said, and the three made their way to their bedroom. Jay leaned over to Cole, whispering in his ear.

"Dude, he's like a robot!"

"You just met him, Jay, don't judge a book by it's cover. He's probably just uncomfortable."

Jay sighed. "You're right. But, wouldn't it be cool if he was a robot?"

Cole rolled his eyes. "I'm going to pretend you didn't say that."

"This is a nice room. Can I pick any empty bed?" Zane asked upon their arrival, and Cole nodded.

"Yup. We're going to get one more teammate, so they'll get the remaining bed."

Jay plopped himself down on his bed, and pulled out a file.

Cole groaned. "Nooo, Jay, give Zane a break."

"How can you give someone a break? Give them a Kit-Kat?" Zane asked, and the two looked at him suspiciously.

"Umm, it's an expression." Cole said, and Jay opened the file.

"Okay, I'm filling this out for everyone that joins this Ninja team. It's a case file on them."

Zane cocked his head. "What is the purpose of this 'case file'?"

Cole put his head in his hands. "He's going to ask you dumb questions."

Jay squirmed in his seat. "First one: If you were a sea-creature, what would you be?"

"Oh! I believe that I would be a sea-star, but theoretically, I cannot turn into one, as I am a normal human."

Jay jumped up. "So, we have the three musketeers: the octopus, the shark, and the sea star! We're going to rule the world, people!"

"Are we going to become politicians?" Zane asked with a smile, but Cole and Jay laughed, and soon, Zane was laughing too.

I'm not sure if this came out as you imagined it to be... but I hope you like it, Seleine16! Thank you for all of the support you've given me, you are amazing!
