Morning came and when the sunlight hit Naomi, she woke up in an unfamiliar room.

Naomi looked around the room and tried to think of how she got there. "So...yesterday wasn't a dream." Naomi thought with a sigh.

After playing the events of last night in her head, Naomi figured that she was in the house of the friendly four and Gosalyn at the moment.

"I need to get out of here." Naomi whispered, even if she was with the friendly four, Naomi still didn't want to be left alone with any adults.

Naomi quietly slipped out of the bed she was in and opened the door before peering out into the hallway just to make sure the coast was clear.

"I don't see or hear anyone so they must still be sleeping." Naomi thought to herself, she had to move quickly and quietly in order to get away.

Naomi tip-toed out of the bedroom and was about to make her way downstairs when one of the other bedroom doors opened to reveal Bushroot.

Seeing the plant-duck hybrid come out of his room, made Naomi dive back into the bedroom before silently closing the door so she wouldn't be seen.

Being as quiet as she could, Naomi held her breath as she waited for Bushroot to pass by. "Maybe I should check on her." Bushroot mumbled softly.

Naomi's eyes widened at that so she dove back into the bed and pretended to be asleep as Bushroot came in and checked on her left shoulder's injury.

"Not as bad as it was last night but she can't do much in case the stitches reopen." Bushroot muttered, he gently brushed some of Naomi's hair away.

Bushroot then left the room and Naomi sat up. "Stitches?" Naomi thought in confusion, she looked at her left shoulder and saw it had been bandaged.

Naomi realized that Gosalyn and her adopted fathers must've helped after she passed out but regardless of that, she still wanted to leave and go home.

So after waiting a few seconds, Naomi tried to leave the house in secret but this time she climb down out the window using blankets tied together as a rope.

Naomi was careful while she climbed down so she wasn't spotted or hurt she left shoulder and before long, Naomi was outside in the backyard of the house.

"Home free...sort of." Naomi said with a small smile, she was about to leave when. "What are you doing?" Gosalyn's voice rang out, Naomi jumped in surprise.

Naomi turned around and saw Gosalyn sitting behind her. "I-I was just...I mean." Naomi stuttered as she blushed, the young duckling shook her head at Naomi.

"You should be resting not climbing out the window." Gosalyn scolded her, Naomi felt her face heat up of embarrassment at being caught by Gosalyn right away.

"I'm sorry but I need to go home." Naomi apologized, she was nervous and Gosalyn gave her a gentle look. "My dad's can help but you need to rest." Gosalyn replied.

Naomi knew that the friendly four could help but she was worried. "Want to join my tea party?" Gosalyn asked sweetly, Naomi couldn't say 'no' to a sweet girl like that.

"Sure." Naomi said with a smile, so while the girls played together, they had no idea that Bushroot told the others that their guest was missing from the room she'd been in.

"We have to find her." Liquidator told them, Bushroot, Quackerjack and Megavolt split up to search the house but couldn't find her. "Where could she be?" Megavolt asked them.

The friendly four didn't know but just then, a thought came to them. "Where's Gosalyn?" Quackerjack asked the others, they looked at each other. "Backyard." Bushroot answered.

Their eyes widened in worry about what Naomi could be doing to their daughter so they rushed out to the backyard but saw Naomi telling Gosalyn a beautiful story about a goddess.

At the end of the story, Naomi gently wiped away the tears that gathered in Gosalyn's eyes. "What's wrong?" Naomi asked her, Gosalyn hugged Naomi as she hugged her back.

"The story was pretty but sad because Chang'e was separated from her true love Houyi." Gosalyn said as tears welled up, Naomi felt tears well up in her eyes before falling down.

"I know but love is strong so they will be reunited." Naomi replied with a smile, Gosalyn was happy to hear that. "Who told you that story anyway?" Gosalyn asked Naomi in wonder.

"My Mama and Baba told me the story." Naomi answered, Gosalyn was confused by the names. "Mama means mother while Baba means father." Naomi explained to her gently.

"Oh." Gosalyn responded, she understood now and while the girls were talking, the friendly four were in shock. "We still need to talk to Naomi." Quackerjack told his friends, they nodded.

So Liquidator cleared his throat and got the girls attention. "Good morning!" Gosalyn greeted her father's, she ran to hug them as she did every morning. "Good morning." The four replied.

Naomi hung back as she started to get nervous again and thought about bolting. "Naomi, it's breakfast time!" Gosalyn told her, she took hold of Naomi's right hand before dragging her inside.

"Back to square one." Naomi thought with a sigh, she stayed quiet during breakfast while the friendly four thought about how to get Naomi to answer their questions but before they could ask.

"Naomi, what were you doing in that warehouse last night?" Gosalyn asked her, she and the others paused. "It'll be easier if I answer honestly." Naomi thought to herself, she sighed once more.

While eating breakfast, Naomi told Gosalyn and her father's what had happened as well as the fact that she was from another universe where they were characters in her favorite cartoon show.

Everyone was silent after that since the friendly four needed to process what they had been told but soon reached a verdict. "We'll do what we can to help get you home." Bushroot said to Naomi.

Naomi blinked. "You believe me?" Naomi asked in disbelief, the others nodded. "If it's anything like when the original Darkwing Duck came, then yeah." Quackerjack said with a smile, they did believe.

"But for now, you need to rest your shoulder which means no more sneaking out." Liquidator said sternly, Naomi blushed at the scolding. "I promise." Naomi replied as the blush grew a little more.

"We'll need to see if we can remake the portal that Nega Duck used to get to Primeverse." Megavolt said as he took a bite of his food, his friends then agreed to do some digging around later that night.

"Can Naomi and I still play together?" Gosalyn asked her father's, they looked at Naomi. "I'm alright with it." Naomi told them, they agreed to it but Naomi had to stay out of the neighbors sight.

Since their world didn't have humans and Naomi still looked like herself, the girls would have to play indoors which was fine with them so off they went to play while the friendly four made their plan.

However, while the friendly four made their plan to remake the portal, they couldn't help but worry for Naomi as they had found some scars and burn marks on her arms while bandaging her shoulder.

They had hope that Naomi would eventually tell them who had caused those injuries while remaking the portal back to her world but maybe she might change her mind and stay to be part of their family.
