Shokugeki

In Nakiri Erina's luxurious office Ikumi stood in front of the God Tongue and waited patiently as Erina read the details of her shokugeki.

After she read the terms and conditions of the shokugeki Erina looked to the tanned blonde and said " This cocky transfer student must be shown his place here don't fail me Ikumi. You know the consequences."

" Of course Lady Erina I would never fail you." the blonde replied confidently before bowing and leaving the room.

Erina turned to Hisako who was standing besides her and said "Hisako have a team take down the kitchens we gave Ikumi and start looking for someone to replace with."

Hisako nodded and left to make the necessary phone calls.

a day before the shokugeki

Soma lead a tired Kanichi to the Polar Star dorms with several bags of ingredients for recipe tasting.

"Alright senpai I'll cook some dishes and you'll tell me if you think they're good enough." Soma said as he walked to the kithcen and started pulling all sorts of cooking utensils. After several hours later the duo still could not find a good enough dish and Kanichi finally said " Yukihira-kun your dishes aren't bad but the fact that you're limiting yourself by using cheap supermarket meat is just not gonna meausre up to the impact of a good A5 piece of wagyu."

The next morning, on the dayof the shokugeki a black limo pulls up to the shokugeki stadium and a driver wearing the Nakiri crest stepped out and opened the door for the princess of Totsuki. Erina walked towards the VIP viewing area of the stadium reserved especially for the Nakiri family and waited for the shokugeki to begin Sōma prepares for his materials as he enters the Shokugeki Arena. Urara Kawashima commences the shokugeki and both students enter the arena with Soma getting booed by the crowd for his speech.

The two chefs both start their coooking and the audience watches in anticipation as the two start bringing out their ingredients. Ikumi had a slice of A5 wagyu with the most beautiful marbling the audience has ever seen. Meanwhile Soma reaches into a plastic and takes out a cheap cut of supermarket beef with a "50% off" on the package. The arena becomes completely quiet for a full ten seconds before the stands erupt into chaos with all the students yelling insults at Soma for making fun of a shokugeki. Soma ignores all of them and continues cooking his dish. Half an hour later Ikumi finishes her Roti Beef Don and presents to the judges.

"Look at the quality of that meat!" Judge 1 says unable to take her eyes away from the beautiful dish.

"Just the smell of it alone makes you want to shove it down your throat!" Judge 2 has completley lost himself in the smell of the dish and was drooling all over the place

"The most important part of the dish is still the taste. Let us try the dish " Judge 3 calmly states.

The three judges take the first bit of Ikumi's beef don and are completely blown away by the flavor of the dish. The crowd cheers at the positive reactions the judges are giving to Ikumi's dish.

"Contestant Yukihira has finished his dish." Urara kawashima announces turning the rest o f the arena's attention to Soma.

Soma places his dish in front of the judges and said" This is my Chapalin Steak Don. Enjoy"

The judges look at Soma's dish but don't say anything. It is obvious they are significantly less excited about Soma's dish. After sharing a look the judges all bite into Soma's don.

"WOW! This dish is on a completely new level."

"It can not even be compared with the Roti Beef Don."

"The ingreidents might have been cheap and simple but the taste is levels beyond the Roti Beef Don."

"WHAT!?" Ikumi yelled as she refuses to believe that Soma had beat her with a dish made from such bad ingredients.

"And it looks like it's an unanimous decision from the judges. The winner of the shokugeki is Yukihira Soma!"

Ikumi collapses onto the floor and look up to the VIP stands where Erina was. Erina looked Ikumi in the eyes, stood up and walked away. Ikumi dropped her had back down in shame. She had embarrased Erina-sama adn now her service was not needed.
