My Pov

The morning rays of the sun git my face, waking me up. I opened my eyes and saw I was sleeping on the bottom bunk of a bunk bed. Huh? I sat up and looked around. Salamon was curled up at the end of my bed, Mikey and Tapirmon were sleeping above me and Blake and Armadillomon were on the top of the opposite bunk. Then, it registered where I was. Ericson's Boarding School for Troubled Youth.

"I was confused too." I looked over to see Clem stretching her arms while Gatomon stretched out her whole body. We woke the boys up and headed to Marlon's office. We made it to the office and looked around. That's when I heard the squeaking of the door's hinges. I turned to see the door being nudged open from the other side.

"Marlon?" I called. The door was then pushed open to reveal not Marlon, but Rosie. The Pitbull then showed her teeth and began to growl and snarl. Salamon and the other Digimon went on the offense, but we each grabbed onto them. Rosie then started barking as she slowly inched closer to us. Before she could inch closer, Marlon appeared in the doorway.

"Whoa, what the hell's going-" Marlon said, before soothing Rosie into a state of quiet. "I din't know you weren't fans of dogs seeing as you have one. Well, dog-like."

"I'm not a dog!" Salamon barked.

"It's not that. It's just... I had a dog once. He wasn't really mine. I found him a camp of his former owners and took care of him for a while. Then a bunch of Walkers came from out of nowhere and..." I trailed off. Salamon nudged my leg. "We got separated. I don't know if he's okay or if the Walkers got him." I wiped a stray tear from my cheek.

"I'm sorry. I don't know what I'd do if I lost Rosie." Marlon said. Marlon helped me and Clementine get closer to Rosie and soon we were well acquitted. Marlon then talked to us about helping out with getting food, to which we agreed to help. Before Marlon could begin about what either of us could do, my Digivice started beeping. I looked at it and notice a cluster of dots in this room and in one spot. I walked around the room, holding my Digivice up until it was beeping at a panel in the ceiling.

"What's up there?" I asked.

"Dunno." Marlon said. Salamon hopped up on some of the furniture until she was just under panel. She jumped up, pushing the panel aside and disappearing into the ceiling. A box suddenly fell from the ceiling and bounced onto the floor with a clatter, followed by Salamon jumping down.

"Digivices!" Salamon exclaimed. I went behind the desk and saw multiple Digivices. All of them looked void of color due to dust. I scooped them back into box and placed it on the desk. Marlon and Clementine stood near the desk.

"I remember those! They appeared during computer class. Only a few of us got them and the headmaster took them, thinking they were games." Marlon said. One of them suddenly glowed and regained its color and floated upward. It was a crimson D-Ark. Marlon reached out and grasped it in his hands.

"You really are one of us..." Clementine said. I noticed there was a dot on Marlon's Digivice.

"What does that mean?" Marlon asked.

"That must be your partner." I said. The others started beeping and I noticed a dot on each of them. Half were in one place and the others in another. Marlon said that the spots were near their fishing sight and hunting grounds. Mikey and I decided to go fishing with Violet and Brody while Clementine and Blake decided to go hunting with Louis and Aasim. We took the Digivices outside and Marlon called to the other kids. Everyone gathered around and the Digivices all floated to their respective bearers.

"Ooh, mine's pink!" Daisy exclaimed.

"That's actually salmon Daisy." Violet said. Everyone had a different color that matched their character. After establishing what the Digivices were for and that they each had a partner, the two groups went to their respective spots. My group came to a small shack near a stream.

"We need catch some fish. There are some traps up stream and the spears are inside." Brody said.

"Don't take forever. I don't want to be here all day." Violet said. I sighed and went inside the shack. Brody followed not long after.

"Hey Laura. Sorry if Vi comes off as well... kinda rude." she said.

"Kinda?" Salamon asked.

"She's really mean." Michael said.

"Mikey, what did I tell you about why people may act the way they do?" I asked. He thought for a minute before answering.

"That they might have trauma?" Mikey answered. I nodded.

"What's taking you guys so long?!" Violet called out. Brody sighed and grabbed the spears. We went outside and sent to fishing. Mikey even joined in. I talked with Violet for a while and it seemed that she was willing to try and repair her friendship with Brody.

"Laura, I got one!" Michael said. I looked to see he had a fish on his spear.

"Good job." I said, smiling. We gathered the fish and started back when we heard rustling. That's our Digivices started beeping. Soon six eggs, Digi-Eggs, hopped out of some bushes. There was a lime green egg, a white and yellow egg, a red egg, a blue egg, a camouflage-patterned egg and a brown egg.

"Digi-Eggs!" Salamon exclaimed. That's when the lime egg and yellow and white egg started hatching. They fully hatched releasing two small silhouettes of light. The silhouettes grew slightly before becoming visible. There was a small, green Digimon with a small horn on its head and a small, yellow fox-like Digimon. Both of them jumped toward us.

"Brody!" the green Digimon exclaimed.

"Violet!" the fox Digimon exclaimed. They them leapt up and into their arms.

"Whoa! Who are you?" Brody asked. I held my Digivice up and scanned them.

"They're Gummymon and Viximon. In-Training level Digimon." I said.

"We've been waiting for you for a long time!" Viximon exclaimed.

"If they're your partners, that means..." I said, looking over at the other eggs. I held up my Digivice and absorbed the eggs into it. We headed back, with Brody carrying Gummymon and Viximon riding on Violet's shoulder.

"Let's check on the others. See if they had better luck." Brody suggested. We headed toward the trap area when we heard a dog barking. We hurried to the area and I was shocked by what I saw.
