Chapter 1:
Hey guys. I know I've been gone for a VERY VERY VERY long time... and I know this is like the 3rd time I've uploaded this story but I hope you enjoy it at least a little bit. I've wanted to redo this one but I just haven't gotten around to it until now. The story is all mind but all the characters belong to Hiro Mashima. Excuse my grammar and all my mistakes, I didn't do well in English class in HS. Please favorite, follow and leave a review.
"Fuck!" shouted a masculine voice.
"What the hell did you do this time, Pinky?" asked a husky voice.
"I put my hand someplace it shouldn't have been and the stupid thing pinched me!" The man drew his hand to his mouth and sucked on his fresh wound, only to get a mouth full of grease and blood. "Eewww."
"Awwe did the little baby pinch himself?" laughed the husky voice.
"Fuck you Gajeel!" he spat.
"Well at least it wasn't your dick. You have a habit putting that thing places it shouldn't be, like in every women you meet." snicked a 3rd person. He and the owner of the husky voice high fived each other and laughed at their bleeding friend.
"Fuck you too, Gray! What is it, pick on Natsu day?" replied the man. "What the hell did I ever do to you guys?"
"Exist?" answered the male named Gray.
"Ha ha, funny." Natsu grumbled out. He walked himself to the first aid kit that was strapped to the shop wall and began taking out its contents on a nearby table. He gently applied antiseptic and antibiotic cream to his wound and wrapped it with gauze.
"Cool!" he smiled to himself, admiring his wrapping job.
"You done over there, Flame Brain?" Gray shouted from across the shop. "Some of us have places to be that aren't work."
"Yeah, yeah give me a second, Droopy eyes." Natsu yawned out as mosied his way back to his work area. "Just gotta tweak something and we should be good to go. You guys want to hit up Fairytail tonight? It's Friday after all."
"I'm game." answered Gajeel, as he settled himself on Natsu's stool. "I've got nothing better to do than hang out with you losers."
"Count me out." Gray replied, throwing the dirty shop towel onto his work bench. "Juvia and I have plans tonight."
"I keep forgetting that your not single anymore." Natsu said in a fake sad tone, sniffling for added measure. "It's amazing that you found someone."
"Thanks dude. You have no idea how much that-"
"I mean I can't imagine how hard a time Juvia has looking at you ugly ass face all the time." Natsu wheezed. "And then you got the shitty personality to match."
Gajeel laughed so hard he fell off his stool.
"That's it!" Gray shouted, slamming his fist on the table. "You're dead, Pinky!"
Natsu stuck his tongue out and giggled as Gray chased him around the shop. After about 10 minutes, Gray finally called it quits.
"You better watch out, Flame Brain." Gray warned his pink haired friend. "Next time I'll actually catch you and you're in for a world of hurt."
"Oh I'm s-s shaking!" he stuttered out. "Like I have any reason to be afraid of you."
Gray rolled his eyes at his friend. He loved the guy like a brother but sometimes he just wanted to strangle the dude.
"Right." Gray replied, scratching the back of his head. "Well I'm out of this hell hole, see you guys tomorrow!"
"Bye, Popsicle dick!" Natsu shouted as his friend left work. He laughed as he watched Gray flip him off through the windows mouthing the words 'Fuck you'. Hopefully if tonight went well he wouldn't have to. That would be the job of the lovely lady he would bring home. "Hey Gajeel, you done clocking out?"
"Yeah." he grumbled. "Meet you at Fairytail at 11?"
"Sounds good!" Natsu replied as he clocked himself out on the terminal. "Remember to bring your dancing shoes!" he did a little dance as he walked towards the door to lock up for the day.
"I don't dance." Gajeel replied nonchalantly.
"Maybe if you did, you might be able to get ladies like how I do." Natsu pointed out.
"I'm pretty sure they pity you because you look super gay with that pink hair." Gajeel snorted.
"You say that but yet I'm swimming in ladies." he smiled as he mounted his red motorcycle. Gajeel mirrored his actions and mounted his own black motorcycle. "You gotta learn by my example."
"I am not dying my hair pink." Gajeel retorted, peeling out of the parking lot with amazing speed.
"You know I didn't dye it. Asshole." Natsu grumbled to himself as he put on his helmet. He turned on his motorcycle and let the engine roar to life before speeding out of the work parking lot, much like Gajeel had.
Life always hadn't been that great to Natsu. He had been in foster homes for his whole life. He did have a foster dad who was by far the best foster parent he could have asked for. He was an older man by the name of Igneel. He was gruff but kind to the rambunctious young Natsu but sadly he died shortly after adopting Natsu. He was thrown back into the system once again, being tossed from home to home because he was "too much to handle".
He lashed out, constantly getting into fights with anyone that he came into contact with. He met Gray in middle school. They happened to bump into each in the cafeteria and all hell broke loose as the boys threw angry fists at each other. Turns out Gray had a past that was similar to Natsu's. He lost his mom around the same time Natsu lost his dad. Natsu didn't find out until later on in life but from middle school on the boys slowly but surely developed a friendship, after many and I mean MANY fights.
The boys ended up meeting Gajeel in high school. They thought they were rough around the edges but Gajeel was a whole different level of Rough. When they met him, he had just transferred from another high school that had some heavy gang activity. Gajeel used to be part of a gang called Phantom Lord but had left when he had started at the new high school. All 3 boys were called into the principal's office for shenanigans on a daily basis and that's what blossomed their friendship with each other. They would crack jokes and wrestle with each other as they waited their turns for the principal to call them in. Gajeel took years to warm up to them but that was fine with them. They were just excited for it not to be the 2 of them anymore.
After graduating high school, all 3 of them managed to snag jobs at the same mechanic shop working on cars. It was some weird miracle. Or it was the old man that was naive enough to hire all 3 of them. It's been 5 years since high school and they're still working the same job but now have fully matured or at least they like to think so. Natsu and Gray being 23 and Gajeel being a year older.
Gajeel has been attending the community college here and there to learn about welding and metal work. Gray has been teaching beginning to advanced ski and snowboarding lessons but only during the winter time. That man takes to the cold like Gajeel seamlessly molds metal to his will. Natsu, well Natsu hadn't really done much with his life. Just the same thing everyday for the last 5 years. Work, eat, sleep, drink, sex. He didn't have any drive to do anything but that. He was awaiting the day were he would get conked on the head and magically get the drive to do something with his life. But for now this is fine.
…..
"Princess?" asked a female voice. "Are you awake?"
"Come in Virgo." beckoned a sweet voice. "I'm awake."
Virgo gently opened the door to her mistresses' room and closed it behind her.
"Princess! I was sent to- Princess?" Virgo asked confused. She gazed at the giant bed in the middle of the room that she thought her mistress would be in. The rosy satin sheets were disheveled and there was no body in the bed.
"Virgo to your left." laughed the melodic voice of her mistress.
"Oh there you are, Princess!" Virgo said in surprise.
She was sitting at her desk in her white silk nightgown. Her flowing hair glowing a beautiful gold as the morning sun hit it. Her exposed cream colored skin covered with goosebumps from the chill of the morning.
"I told you, Virgo." she lectured. "Just call me Lucy!"
"I can't do that, Princess." Virgo replied, wrapping Lucy with a warm fuzzy blanket. "You have to be careful, Princess. You don't want to catch a cold." Virgo said, wiggling her finger at her.
"Thank you, Virgo. I guess I didn't notice until now." Lucy smiled, wrapping the blanket around her tighter. "I couldn't sleep so I started writing and didn't realize it was morning already."
"That's just like you." Virgo smiled. "Come on, let's get you bathed and ready for the meeting with your father today."
"Do I have to?" Lucy whined, earning a look from Virgo. "Fine, fine. Let's get this over with."
The girls scurried into Lucy's enormous bathroom. Lucy brushed her teeth to help get rid of her awful morning breath as Virgo drew her a bath. She dropped her warm fuzzy blanket to her feet as she began to strip off her nightgown. The material glided off and pooled at her feet with the blanket. She stood in front of her bathroom mirror stark naked as she took in her shape. She sighed in relief as she admired the curves of her hips and volume of her ample bossum, she thought she was going to be flat and shapeless all her life. Puberty finally decided to hit her at 19 and boy did it hit her like a truck. She has had time to grow into her new body luckily and at her ripe age of 21 it looked soft and womanly.
"Princess, your bath is perfect and ready." called out Virgo as she swirled her hand around the bath to make sure the temperature was good.
"Thank you Virgo." Lucy bowed as she stepped into the tub. She absolutely loved her baths. Virgo always made sure to make sure bath time was luxurious by adding oils and petals to her bath. Today's water was a lovely shade of pink and smelled sweetly of roses. Lucy moaned as she settled into the mildly scalding water letting it melt away her aching muscles from sitting hunched over her desk all night.
"I'll leave you while I get your clothes ready for the day." Virgo bowed as she left Lucy alone.
Lucy hummed to herself as she reached out to the side of the bathtub for the remote to control the jets in her tub. Her eyes rolled back as her jets hit just the right spots and she laid her head back onto the edge of the tub and let sweet euphoria wash over her.
Once Lucy was done, Virgo appeared out of thin air, freshly warmed towel in hand. Lucy thanked Virgo as she wrapped the towel around her body and made her way to her vanity. She sat down in the cushy chair and closed her eyes as Virgo gently dried her hair.
"Are you excited for today's meeting?" Virgo asked as she set the wet hair towel down to the side to begin rubbing her master down with lotion.
"Not really." Lucy voiced as she grabbed her lip balm off of her vanity. "I hate these marriage meetings. They are so long and pointless since I always say no."
"What if this gentlemen is the one?" Virgo pointed out. "You can't say no to everyone."
"I highly doubt he is the one." Lucy replied, rolling her eyes. "Every meeting I attend is just for some spoiled little rich boy who wants me as a trophy wife. They don't care to get to know me or to take the time to fall in love with me."
Letting out a sigh, Virgo finished up with Lucy. She dressed her in a beautiful black dress that gently hugged her curves. It hit mid calf on her and had off the shoulder long sleeves. She was a lady of course so she couldn't show too much skin. She finished it off with Lucy's favorite necklace, a heart locket containing a picture of her late mother.
"There we go, Princess. Almost done!" Virgo smiled. "Let me go grab Cancer so he can do your hair and then I will send in Gem and Mini to do your makeup."
"Thank you Virgo!" Lucy brightly smiled, which Virgo returned before bowing and leaving Lucy by herself again.
Hand on the guard rail of the their grand staircase, Lucy glided down the stairs looking stunning. Cancer had wound her hair into a graceful up do with delicate curls cascading down her and there to help frame her face. Gem and Mini did simple makeup but it really made her natural features stand out. Her eyelashes were long, dark and full, her skin flawless and blushed a rosy shade of pink. Her lips plump and glossy.
Once she reached the end of the staircase, she straightened out her dress and rolled her shoulders back so she was standing straight.
"Well here goes nothing." she groaned as she made her way to her father's study. She knocked on the door gently 3 times. "Father it's me."
"Oh there she is! Come in dear." Lucy opened the large mahogany door to her father's study and walked in confidently to take her seat by him. She saw a floof of orange hair sitting in front of his desk. His ginger hair was wild looking but actually suited him as he came into full view. He wasn't bad looking, he was actually quite handsome with his sharp features and looked mysterious with his green glasses. She mentally rolled her eyes as she saw that he was holding a bouquet of roses.
"Loki, this is my beautiful daughter Lucy Heartfilia." her father, Jude introduced.
"Lovely to meet you." Lucy fake smiled, reaching out her hand so he could kiss it.
"You're even more beautiful than the rumors say." Loki winked as he kissed her hand. Lucy tried to hide her disgust. His lips felt gross touching her. She turned to her father and found that her chair that is normally set up next to him was gone."
"Luckily she inherited her mother's looks and not mine!" Jude joked.
"Excuse me, father." Lucy cleared her throat. "Where should I sit?"
"Well I thought it would be nice if you would sit next to our guest!" Jude smiled at the 2 of them. Loki got out of his chair and gracefully gestured to the seat next to him. She nodded to him to thank him and sat down, feeling uncomfortable sitting next to this stranger. Loki looked as though he had won the lottery and sat down quickly. He crossed his legs as he looked her up and down.
She ignored his wandering eyes and turned her attention to her father.
"Shall we commence our meeting?" Lucy asked, already bored.
"Yes of course." Loki chirped happily. Why is he so happy? She wondered.
"Of course right down to business." Jude nodded happily as he adjusted his tie. "Lucy, my beloved daughter, I would like you to meet Loki who is head of the Zodiac corporation aaannnnddd your fiance!"
Loki smiled widely as he got down on one knee grabbing her left hand and slipping an engagement ring onto her finger.
"Excuse me…. I must have heard wrong." Lucy laughed, putting her hand to her mouth. "I thought you said fiance."
"He did." Loki replied, still on one knee.
"I did." Jude echoed.
"MY WHAT?!" Lucy screeched.
