59. Important Update!

Hi guys! Long time no update, huh?

Sorry this isn't a new chapter - I wish I had something more interesting for you.

First! A quick apology to those who didn't know what they were getting into with that last section of my fic - I thought I had upped the rating but I've just realised that it's been on an incorrect rating for ages.

Anyway - long story short: this is being rewritten into a properly thought out, structured story, instead of the ramble-fest it is now. Read the rest if you want more details.

This is just to let you know that the reason why I started writing this thing was basically to serve as a sort of therapy while I got my own life in order to be able to get myself the support I needed for things that have happened to me in the past. I apologise, as a result, that the grammar, character development, and plot is basically a pile of shit and that the pacing and tone/genre is all over the place.

One of the reasons I haven't updated in quite some time now is that I was at the last stage of really getting myself onto a stable trajectory in my life and thanks to 2020 that stage needed all my attention and energy not to implode in my face.

Basically, this means that I don't actually need this fic as my emotional toilet anymore. Does this mean I'm going to abandon it? No. However, (and sorry to those of you who like it as it currently is) there is no way I can continue it in the same manner I wrote the first god knows how many words. What I actually intend to do is rewrite it.

Now, because of how poor quality and extensively worded this fic is, that's going to mean some MAJOR revisions. I also intend to remove what self-insert-ness (pretend that's a word) I included, so that my character is more original and that gives me the mental freedom with the character development later down the line. Subaru won't change too much, she's still going to resemble many elements of my own character, but the plan is for that to be a superficial resemblance instead.

Just to give you guys some closure, I may add bullet point chapters where Kakashi POV chapters were supposed to be, to give you an idea of the context of that very dark arc.
