Lyoko's Mountain Sector
POV Lila's
We're all on Lyoko, fighting off Xana's monsters. We're close to the activated tower. Yumi opens her Tessen Fans and jumps in the air, evading a laser fired by the Krab. She throws her fan, but the Krab intercepts it with a laser as soon as she throws it. The Tessen Fan flies right over the Krab's head and returns to Yumi. She jumps to catch it. Mia whips a Blok, paralyzing it with white energy.
"Kayori, now!" Mia exclaims.
"I know, I got it!" Kayori leaps into the air and takes the shield off her back. Looking at Ulrich, he's using his super sprint and katana blade, blocking the lasers the Tarantula is firing off. I can see after images of him in his yellow trail.
Odd cocks his paw, readying his Laser Arrows, and fires off a few at a Krab he's fighting. He misses and the Krab fires off a laser at him.
"Odd, Sissi, how are you two doing?" Ulrich asks. Sissi uses her baton to block the incoming laser, blowing it away with a gush of wind.
"We're just about through with Norbert," Odd says, firing off another Laser Arrow.
"Odd don't tell me you're still giving them stupid names," Ulrich says, he super sprints behind the Tarantula. Kayori throws her shield at the Blok, which doesn't have time to fire off a laser to stop it. The shield hits the target eye, and the Blok explodes. The shield returns to Kayori who catches it, and puts it back on her hook. She falls down and lands on the ground perfectly. Ulrich continues to super sprint behind the Tarantula, out of its line of sight. He super sprints our way, and Aelita looks up.
"Do you have any idea what kind of an attack it is, Jeremy?" Aelita asks.
"No, with a bit of luck we're onto it faster than Xana anticipated," Jeremy replies.
"Let's hope so," I say.
Cocking his paw, Odd kneels down and says:
"I'm sure we are, Lila. Remember, when Odd checks in, Xana checks out," Odd says. Odd fires off another Laser Arrow, but misses. I roll my eyes from the comment Odd just made. I still hold onto my hunter's knife just in case the monsters try to attack Aelita.
"Norbert" fires a laser at Odd and Sissi. They jump in the air to dodge it, but for some reason they freeze mid-air. My eyes widen as their images distort.
"That's not fair, guys!" Odd complains.
"Yeah, what the heck is going on?" Sissi asks, annoyed.
"Hang on, we'll get to you!" Mia exclaims. Mia and Kayori start running to where Odd and Sissi are. Ulrich is using his katana blade to fight off a barrage of lasers from the Tarantula. He looks at Odd and Sissi.
"What's wrong?" he asks.
"I don't know, we can't move," Odd replies.
"Coming! Super Sprint!" Ulrich exclaims, lowering his katana. He, Kayori, and Mia are about to get to Odd and Sissi to help them, but then their avatars turn black and white. They disappear. The monsters images distort but are fine a second later. Ulrich reappears in front of the Tarantula, Kayori and Mia reappear in front of "Norbert.."
"Huh?" Ulrich asks.
"Oh man, not good!" Kayori exclaims. The Tarantula fires off its lasers at Ulrich, "Norbert," fires his lasers at Kayori and Mia. Ulrich, Kayori, and Mia are hit by the lasers then devirtualize.
"Jeremy, we've got a problem," Yumi informs, still dealing with her Krab.
"I see it, but I can't figure it out," Jeremy says. I start charging my lightning bolt pendant to the soles of my feet.
"Norbert, you're not gonna-" Odd starts to say but "Norbert," does. He fires a laser at Odd and then turns to Sissi, firing off a laser at her. They're hit by the lasers. Odd and Sissi are devirtualized mid-air. Yumi backs up to where Aelita and I are. Her avatar's starting to become more and more distorted.
"Oh no," Yumi says. "Lila, with me. Let's try to distract them away from her," she says.
"Right," I nod. My lightning bolt pendant glows, and I start running with Yumi, who already has her Tessen Fans out and open.
I put my hunter's knife away in its sleeve and take my bow off its hook. I nock an arrow onto it. Maintaining my electricity powers in the soles of my feet, I continue running fast and pull the drawstring back. I let my arrow fly at Norbert, and Yumi throws her Tessen Fan. Both of our weapons miss, and Yumi's fan returns to her. I disperse my electricity. She tries to catch it but her image distorts again and her Tessen Fan flies right through her. The two Krabs converge on her. Charging their lasers, they fire at Yumi and she's devirtualized.
"Run, Aelita! For some reason my image hasn't distorted! Get to the tower!" I exclaim.
"Right!" Aelita exclaims. She jumps down, landing safely, and starts running toward the activated. The Krabs look at me and begin charging their lasers. Charging my electricity powers, my pendant glows and I concentrate my power to the soles of my feet again. The Krabs fire off their lasers at me. Using the extra juice, I leap high into the air and take two arrows from my quiver. Nocking it onto my bow, I pull the drawstring back. I hold one arrow and let the other fly.
The first arrow flies at "Norbert," and hits the target eye on his head. I let the other arrow fly at Yumi's Krab. I look behind me as I fall to see Aelita's image starting to distort. I look down at my own, and it starts distorting, too. My arrow passes through the Krab I tried attacking. The Krab's a distorted, glitchy mess now, too.
"The Krab is bugged, too, go for it!" Jeremy exclaims. Aelita runs under the Krab and phases into the tower's "doorway." I land safely enough but I can't seem to do much as my image continues to distort.
"Great job, Aelita. Nice one! And Lila, good job. Just hang in there until your materialization kicks in," Jeremy says.
"I'll try," I say as the Krab returns to normal.
Uh oh, I think. Thankfully, my body starts materializing, not letting the Krab have its victory.

Inside the lab
"That was so weird, it was as if everything just bugged up," Aelita says.
"It was really strange," I nod. Ulrich is next to Jeremy, his arms crossed.
"I don't know what could have happened," Jeremy says. "Of course, that might have been Xana's attack," he surmises.
"Really?" Sissi asks.
"That's all you can up with? Hey, you better start working on your A game," Odd says.
"I suppose that was your "A game" against your pal Norbert?" Ulrich asks.
Jeremy starts typing on his keyboard. "I've got some routine checks to carry out just to be sure that was Xana's attack. Go on without me, I'll catch up."
"Can I have your portion?" Odd asks. Jeremy nods.
"Fantastic!" Odd exclaims, running to the freight elevator. "Shepherd's pie tonight!" He runs inside.
"What's up with him and extra portions?" Kayori asks no one in particular.
"You get used to it," Mia shrugs.
"Yeah, and it's also boy's dorm inspection. So don't be too long, Jeremy," Ulrich says, and he starts heading for the freight elevator, followed by Kayori, Mia, and Sissi.
"This will take a few seconds, that's all," Jeremy says. I nod and run over to the freight elevator. Odd's petting Kiwi, I'm glad he was able to tag along to the lab.
"No Kiwi, tonight, you stay here," Odd says. "The last thing we need is for Jim to find you, my little diggity dog," he smiles. I smile at Kiwi, he is a good dog.
The Next Day
Inside the cafeteria
Since Jim was busy inspecting the boy's dorms last night, Aelita and I had to chance to stay up a little later. I updated my diary, something I haven't done in a while. I'm sitting next to Aelita. All of us have our trays of food, consisting of croissants and dipping sauce. I have my usual tea. Odd is sitting next to Sissi. Ulrich is sitting on Jeremy's right side. Mia is sitting next to Jeremy. Yumi is sitting by Aelita's right side, and Kayori is sitting by my right side. Jeremy is explaining Xana's attack yesterday.
"Sabotage?" Aelita asks.
"Yes, by Michael Riley possessed by Xana, that's what Xana's attack was," Jeremy replies. "And the bugs that prevented you from fighting were caused by the drop of the calculated capacity of the supercomputer."
"What a mess," Yumi comments.
"Any chance of fixing it?" Kayori asks.
Jeremy dips his croissant into the dipping sauce, he then takes a bite out of it.
"Yes, but I've got to do it fast or else we're going to be in big trouble, guys," Jeremy replies, while eating.
"We are, how come?" Ulrich asks.
"It's simple. The internal circuits have been badly damaged. Right now, the quantum bytes are collapsing, one after the other. The drop in computing speed will become more and more serious until-" Jeremy starts to explain but Ulrich interrupt him. He puts his hand up.
"Stop - Reader's Digest version. How much time do we have?" Ulrich asks.
"Three hours," Jeremy answers.
"That doesn't sound good," Sissi comments.
"It isn't," Jeremy says.
"Are you absolutely sure the whole thing will be destroyed?" Aelita asks.
"Definitely," Jeremy replies. "It's already lost a lot of speed. I even tried to launch a return to the past to see, no way. I've got to pick up some stuff from my room, then I'm going to head back over. After your classes, you'll have to think of some phony excuses."
"We'll come up with something, we always do," I say. Jeremy nods. Yumi stands up.
"Well, sorry guys, but I've gotta go now. Chardin is taking us to see an exhibit, keep me posted," she says and leaves.
"Okay," Jeremy says.
"Belpois! Belpois!" Jim exclaims, making his way over to us.
"Oh no, the inspection," Jeremy says.
"Did you have time to clean your room?" Ulrich asks.
"Let's get this over with," Jim says, making his way to our table.
"You mean since last week?" Jeremy asks Ulrich. "No way," he replies. Jim reaches our table and Jeremy looks at him.
"Your room is the only one I haven't inspected yet. Come on, get up on your feet. Now!" Jim exclaims.
This should be interesting, I think.
Afterwards
Boys dorm floor
"So you can't eat shepherd's pie either, huh?" Jim asks Jeremy, as we're making our way to Jeremy's room.
Raising his eyebrow, Jeremy discreetly asks us:
"What's he talking about?"
"Never mind," Odd replies. We soon reach Jeremy's room and Jim opens the door.
"Huh?" Jim asks. It sounds like he's surprised by the mess, makes sense I suppose, considering all the work Jeremy has to do for us.
"What on Earth do you call all of this Belpois?" Jim asks.
"Uh, it's called my room," Jeremy replies. Jim walks into the room. He walks all the way to Jeremy's computer and picks up what I hope is a clean underwear from Jeremy's keyboard. I am a bit embarrassed by this.
"You oughta be ashamed," Jim says. Jeremy hands a box over to Aelita, she takes it. "You are not leaving this room until you make it 100% spick and span." He puts his finger on his mouth, telling us to be quiet. Jim turns around, catching Jeremy.
"Do you understand?" Jim asks Jeremy. Jim points over to some magazines under Jeremy's desk.
"And those things, what are they?" Jim asks. Jim walks to the desk and picks up the magazines.
"Um, computer magazines," Jeremy answers.
"Our Einstein really is a geek, isn't he?" Odd asks.
"Hey, what do you think all of you are doing here?" Jim asks.
"Well, we thought he might be able to use some help," Ulrich replies.
"That way things can go a lot faster," Mia says.
"Yeah," Sissi nods.
"As they say, the more the merrier," Kayori says.
"He's going to do it himself without anyone's help! Go to your classes right now and double time!" Jim exclaims.
Afterwards
Boy's dorm floor stairwell
Ulrich opens the door for us. Odd walks ahead of us first.
"There's no way Jim is going to get off of Jeremy's back until he's through cleaning up," he says.
"Yeah, that's true," I say.
"And in three hours its adios supercomputer," Odd says. Aelita walks in next and I'm after her. Sissi, Mia and Kayori follow next.
"Maybe I can try and fix it," Aelita surmises. She holds the box Jeremy gave her. "Actually, I think that's what Jeremy meant when he gave me this box."
"Do you think you can do it?" Sissi asks.
"At least I can try and limit the damage, besides we don't have much of a choice," Aelita replies.
"Mh-hmm," Odd agrees.
"If that's the case, then I'll go with you," I offer.
"If you're sure. Meanwhile the rest of you, go to class and tell them we got sick from the, um... Shepherd's pie. We'll let you know if we come up with anything," Aelita says. She looks to me.
"Let's go," she says.
"Right," I nod. Aelita and I start walking down the stairs.
"Good luck," Kayori says.
"Thanks," Aelita calls back and we continue walking down the stairs.

The freight elevator's doors open. Kiwi's sitting on the chair, he barks and a window pops up. Aelita and I run to the computer, Kiwi continues barking. The window is going through a list of towers.
That's all we need, I think, annoyed. Finally the program confirms an activated tower, with Xana's symbol blinking.
"Oh no, an activated tower," Aelita says. The tower's location seems to be in the Ice Sector.
"What do we do now?" I ask.
"Hang on, let me get one of the others on the phone," Aelita says. Putting the box in her right arm, she starts typing with her left hand. A call is going out, showing Ulrich's Lyoko ID.
"Aelita?" Ulrich asks.
"Activated tower, we need all of you to get here. If Kayori can't skip class, that'll be okay. Inform Yumi too," Aelita replies. "I'm sure Jeremy already knows," she says.
"Yeah okay," Ulrich says, and hangs up. Aelita looks at me.
"Let's head down to the supercomputer room. You can help me with the disks," she says.
"Right," I nod.
Afterwards
Inside the supercomputer room
The room is already lit up and Aelita presses buttons on the supercomputer one by one. Three damaged disks emerge from the supercomputer. She looks at me.
"Let's get to work, just follow my lead," she says.
"Okay," I nod.
Aelita and I spend a few minutes working on the supercomputer's disks. We put the new disks back into the slots where the damaged ones were. Aelita's phone rings, she takes it out of her pocket and answers it.
"Yes, Jeremy?" Aelita asks. There's a short pause. "Lila and I did what we could, but in the meantime, I don't know if it'll hold up. The others?" she asks. "No, nothing yet. Okay, hurry it up," she requests and hangs up.
Afterwards
Inside the lab
Aelita is sitting on the chair, and I'm standing next to her with Kiwi laying down on the floor. The freight elevator's doors open, revealing only Ulrich and Sissi.
"Where are the others?" I ask, looking at them.
"Jeremy, Odd, Mia, and Kayori are kind of tied up," Ulrich replies.
"By vines of all things. It'll just be the four of us," Sissi says. She and Ulrich run over to us.
"Yumi isn't here yet?" Ulrich asks Aelita.
"No," Aelita replies. Ulrich takes his cell phone out and dials Yumi on speed dial. He puts the phone to his ear. It takes a few seconds for her to pick up.
"Yumi," Ulrich says. There's a short pause. "Odd, Sissi, Mia, Kayori, and I got cut off by vines," he informs. There's another short pause. "We'll wait for you and-" he starts to say but stops. A scream from Ulrich's phone causes him to almost drop it.
"Yumi!" He shouts into the receiver. There's nothing but silence, and he hangs up.
"There's no time to lose, Yumi's in trouble, Aelita," he says. Aelita starts typing on the keyboard.
"Okay I'll start up a self virtualization. Lila, you'll have to launch your own virtualization," Aelita says.
"I understand," I nod. Ulrich's card is selected first, then the program starts to go to Aelita's.
"How's the supercomputer doing? Did the two of you get a chance to fix it?" Sissi asks.
"Well, only temporarily," Aelita replies, still typing. Aelita finishes the self virtualization and a timer window pops up. She gets off the chair.
"Here we go," Aelita says.
Aelita, Ulrich, and Sissi run into the freight elevator. Sissi presses the freight elevator's red button to go down, and the freight elevator's doors close. Looking at the timer, it continues to go down and I soon hear the freight elevator's doors opening in the scanner room. The scanner's doors opening, I hear them close and I sit on the chair. The time goes down to zero, the others have been virtualized. I bring up the self-virtualization program. I continue typing and press enter.
The timer window pops up again, and starts going down. I run to the ladder shoot, leaving Kiwi by himself, and climb down into the scanner room.
Lyoko's Ice Sector
Opening my eyes, I fall and soon land on my feet. Ulrich, Sissi, and Aelita have been waiting for me. Looking at Sissi's bracer, it seems she's already activated her Lady Luck ability. Seeing that there's no symbols in all four of her slots, it seems Sissi's Lady Luck ability only took thirty of life points. It really is an ability that deals with luck, and I guess today just isn't a lucky day for Sissi.
"Come on," Ulrich urges and starts running.
"Okay!" Sissi exclaims, despite having lost her life points already. The three of us start running too.
Afterwards
We keep running until we see the activated tower coming into view. The three of us stop behind a small glacier, when Ulrich puts his hands up signalling for us to go.
"Okay, two Tarantulas. Not exactly the end of the world," Ulrich says.
"Should we use force?" Aelita asks.
"There's no other way than that, is there?" Sissi asks.
"Our brains," Aelita jokes.
"Don't have any," Ulrich jokes back. "Super Sprint!" he exclaims and takes off, leaving a trail of yellow behind.
"Wait up!" Sissi exclaims. Sissi and I follow him, I start channeling electricity to the soles of my feet. Sissi and I do our best to catch up with Ulrich. The Tarantulas raise their front legs and start firing at us. My lightning bolt pendant glows, giving the soles of my feet some extra juice. I start running a bit faster, leaving Sissi behind. The three of us dodge the incoming lasers. The Tarantulas stop when they see Aelita making her way towards the activated tower. One of them decides to chase after her. I'm about to grab my bow but the remaining Tarantula resumes fire.
Sissi manages to catch up to me but then she, Ulrich, and I start turning black and white.
"Not now!" I exclaim. We disappear, my electricity dispersing, and then reappear behind the Tarantula.
Our bodies pixelize to a light green, then it stops. Looking at my arms, then at Ulrich and Sissi, we're still black and white.
Ulrich taunts his katana blade in front of the Tarantula, Sissi readies her baton by taking it out of its holder, and I take my hunter's knife out of its sleeve.
"Since we're black and white, we might as well fight the old fashion way," he says. He lowers his katana blade and then uses it as if it's a fencing blade.
"En guard, touche!" he exclaims. He slices the Tarantula's nose, causing some light to shine from within it. It's not a full cut, though. Sissi swings the baton, releasing a gush of wind. The wind pixels out however, and phases through the Tarantula. Gripping my hunter's knife, I go for one of Tarantula's legs and use my blade to cut the Tarantula's leg. Ulrich cuts the other leg, and the Tarantula starts to slide on the ice from loss of balance. Ulrich cuts the Tarantula's stomach, but it's no good. The Tarantula gets back up right away and raises its legs, readying to fire at us.
"This time we've had it," Ulrich says. We start to back up.
"Tell me about it, talk about stubborn," I complain. Suddenly the Tarantula starts phasing in, and so do we. We look almost like pale ghosts.
I really don't like this! I think. Everything stops and color comes back to us again.
"We're back to normal, yes!" Sissi exclaims. We look at each other, then nod, and decide to make a run for it. We meet up with Aelita, and we keep running. We find the small glacier from earlier and hide behind it. We put our weapons away.
"What happened?" Ulrich asks.
"Nothing special. The bugs also affect the monsters," Aelita explains.
"That kind of makes things even, for once," Ulrich points out.
"That's true," I agree.
"Now?" Sissi asks. We nod.
"Let's go!" Ulrich exclaims. We start running, getting out of our hiding spot. We head for the Tarantulas and they lift their legs. They charge their lasers and then fire. A volley wave of lasers are coming our way. Ulrich takes his katana blade out of its sheath, he uses it to block the lasers. Sissi takes the baton out of its holder, and uses the baton itself to block the lasers. I take my hunter's knife out of its sleeve, and block the lasers quickly. The three of us continue shielding Aelita, and an energy field flies past us. It makes its way toward the Tarantula and hits it, shocking it. The Tarantula isn't hurt by Aelita's attack. It keeps firing at us after a second. A laser passes by us as we hear Aelita yelp. She falls to the ice.
The Tarantula is about to fire at us again, but both of them phase out once more. We take this opportunity to regroup with Aelita.
"How many life points do you think you have left?" Ulrich asks Aelita.
"Definitely less than you," Aelita replies.
"That's right, so you better watch it," Jeremy says.
"It's great to know that you're back, Jeremy," I say. The Tarantulas fire at us again. Ulrich, Sissi, and I duck since we weren't paying attention. Getting back up, Jeremy informs:
"Odd, Mia, and Kayori are coming to the rescue." He then adds: "And thanks Lila."
Using our weapons and firmly planting our feet on the ice, the Tarantulas fire at us again. We block the lasers with our weapons.
"Triplicate!" Ulrich exclaims. He looks around and sees that his clones aren't there. The Tarantula takes the opportunity and fires at him. Ulrich is hit by the volley wave of lasers and loses his weapon. His body shocks.
I'm about to grab my bow, but the other Tarantula notices and focuses its lasers on me. The lasers fly at me and I'm thrown back, losing my hunter's knife. My body shocks as well.
Aelita starts singing. Her body pixelizes a light green color but she's able to use her creativity to create a small glacier above the Tarantula. Sissi, Ulrich, and I run over to her as she lets the small ice glacier drop on the Tarantula's head. The Tarantula is crushed.
"Good job, Aelita," Ulrich compliments. Hearing more monsters approaching, we turn to see two Krabs incoming.
"Any last words before we get devirtualized?" he asks.
Aelita is about to say something, but then we're interrupted by:
"Laser Arrow!" Odd exclaims, flying on his Overboard towards the Laser Arrow misses the Krab. Kayori and Mia are with him too.
"On my signal, Kayori!" Mia exclaims, getting her whip out on her Overboard.
"On it!" Kayori exclaims, flying her Overdrive.
'That's what I wanted to hear. Glad you're all here," Ulrich says.
"Me too!" I exclaim. We turn to look at them flying towards the Krabs. Odd flies under the Krab while, Kayori and Mia stay above, trying to get a good aim on them.
"Coochy-coo," Odd jokes, tickling the Krab. He flies past it. I roll my eyes.
Really, Odd? I think.
"Here's a little something to help you get around with," Jeremy says. He materializes Ulrich and Sissi's Overbikes. I put my hunter's knife in its sleeve and Ulrich runs to his Overbike. He hops on it, and Sissi puts her baton back in its holder.
"Saddle up, Princess," Ulrich says to Aelita.
"Lila, come on," Sissi says, running to her Overbike.
"Right," I nod. Aelita gets onto Ulrich's Overbike. Sissi gets onto her Overibke and then I get on with her. I put my hands on her shoulders.
We're definitely in a rush, so using these vehicles make sense, I think. We take off and start flying in the air. We nearly catch up with Odd, Mia, and Kayori. Suddenly our vehicles start disappearing. We fall to the ice. We're all able to catch ourselves, though.
"Sorry guys, but the supercomputer is losing more and more power. You'll have to go on foot," he informs. We look up.
"Jeremy, Lila and I didn't have time to finish the repairs," she informs.
"I know, Aelita. You and Lila did a great job. I can finish it up," he says.
"Do it as quick as you can," I say. Aelita's body starts pixelizing a light green. Ulrich, Kayori, and Sissi turn black and white. Odd, Mia, and I phase in and out.
"And we still haven't heard anything from Yumi," Ulrich adds. We return to normal.
"I'll do everything I can. You just worry about that stupid tower," he says.
We keep on running, with Aelita leading the way, but stop when we see something heading our way.
"Here comes another mega problem!" Odd exclaims, a Megatank rolling towards us.
That's all we need! I think, annoyed. The Megatank stops rolling. It opens up and unleashes a powerful laser wave. Odd, Mia, and Kayori split up, barely able to dodge the incoming attack. Aelita, Ulrich, Sissi, and I are barely able to dodge it, ourselves. The laser wave passes by us, a rather close call. Odd starts running on his paws and legs. Kayori is about to take her shield off its hook, and Mia is about to take her whip out of its holder. The three of them phase in and out, they are completely stuck.
"Not now!" Kayori exclaims, not amused.
We look at them as the Megatank charges its laser wave and fires. Aelita puts her hand on her head and raises her other hand. She starts singing, creating a small ice wall, shielding them. We run over to them and the laser wave hits Aelita's creation.
Odd falls from his frozen position, he shakes his head.
"Ow!" he exclaims.
"How are you doing, Jeremy? Any luck?" Mia asks.
"Because we can't keep doing this if it's bugging up," Odd says.
"It's definitely a challenge," Kayori says.
"I'm almost there," Jeremy says."All I have to do is reboot the works."
Another laser wave hits the small ice wall and it crumbles before us.
"Better step on it," Ulrich urges.
"Oh no…" Jeremy trails off.
"What's wrong?" Sissi asks.
All of us start phasing in and out again, turning a light green in the process.
"I don't have enough juice to reboot the supercomputer," Jeremy explains.
The Megatank itself is starting to phase, its laser wave has stopped charging.
"If we can only deactivate the tower, I can use its energy to restart the whole system."
"That's fine Jeremy, but over here we can't deactivate the tower unless you reboot the system," Aelita chastises.
"Ugh.." Jeremy trails off. We stop phasing in and out, returning to normal, but so does the Megatank. Its laser wave is unleashed and all of us run to the left, dodging it.
We run away from the Megatank, but Aelita stops and stares at a way tower. I run up to her.
"What's wrong, Aelita?" I ask.
"I think there's one way we can do it," Aelita replies. I look at the way tower and then to her…
"Are you thinking what I think you're thinking?" I ask her. She nods.
"Care to share with the rest of the class? I'm listening," Jeremy says.
"Destroy the ice sector," Aelita says. Ulrich, Odd, Sissi, Kayori, and Mia walk over to us.
"Hm?" Odd and Ulrich ask.
"Huh?" Jeremy asks. Odd looks at Aelita, then says:
"Good old Aelita, even during the worst of times she keeps her sense of humor."
Aelita looks at Odd with a serious expression on her face.
"You mean… you weren't kidding?" Odd asks.
"Aelita, that's crazy…" Jeremy trails off. "Aelita why would you-"
Aelita takes off and looks up.
"It's the only way to recover some energy and avoid total destruction of the supercomputer. And if that happens, Lyoko disappears and us with it. We don't have a choice. Besides, that would automatically deactivate the tower," she explains.
"She's right," Jeremy agrees. "Do it, Aelita," he then urges. We get closer to reaching the way tower.
"When I restart the system, I won't be able to rematerialize you. You'll have to manage on your own."
"I'll stay with Aelita," I say and the others get ready.
"Got it," Ulrich says. He unsheathes his katana blade. Odd readies his laser arrows. Kayori takes out her throwing knives. She gives one to Sissi so that Sissi can use it on her. Mia takes out a kunai. I look at the way tower and see Aelita running inside it. She runs into the tower's "doorway."
The Megatank from earlier unleashes a laser wave upside down. It causes all of us to jump in the air. We land back on the ice, looking at the way tower that still has its blue aura.
You can do this, Aelita, I think.
The tower disappears and Aelita falls onto the ice. She quickly gets up, then the tower starts disappearing. She runs to us and the tower disappears completely. The ice sector starts disappearing. Ulrich sheathes his katana blade, but the others keep their weapons out.
"Hurry!" Aelita exclaims, reaching us. We start running as a group with the sector disappearing behind us. We stop running, and Ulrich takes his katana out again.
"Right, listen up, Aelita you take care of Lila. Lila, take care of Aelita. Sissi, you take care of Kayori. Mia, take care of Odd. Odd, you zap Mia and me. On three-" Ulrich starts to say.
"Wait is that on three? Or do we count together to three and then zap each other?" Odd asks.
"You always pull this on me, Odd," Ulrich snaps. "No, we zap each other on three okay? 1-"
"Mia, don't miss okay?" Odd asks her.
"Odd!" we all exclaim, glaring at him.
"Okay, okay!" Odd exclaims, pulling back. He aims his Laser Arrows at Mia and Ulrich. Mia readies her kunai at Odd.
"One, two… three!" Ulrich exclaims, swinging his katana blade at Odd. Odd fires Laser Arrows at Mia and Ulrich, Mia pulls her arm back, and throws the kunai at Odd. The kunai makes a hit, and all three of them devirtualize. We wait a few seconds. Sissi and Kayori nod, the two of them use throwing knives on each other. The throwing knives hit the both of them and they devirtualize. Aelita and I aren't given a lot of room with the sector's disappearing on us. We run bit further from the erasing sector, and I take my hunter's knife out. Aelita raises her hand, summoning her energy field. Gripping my hunter's knife, I look at Aelita. The sector is nearly gone.
"Ready?" I ask.
"Ready," Aelita replies. We launch our attacks at each other. The energy field shocks me, and the hunter's knife plunges into Aelita. We devirtualize just in time as the ice sector completely disappears before us.
Inside the scanner room
The scanners doors open, all of us are in the scanner room, safe and sound.
Talk about a close call, I think. Aelita and I step out of our scanners.
"The activated tower has disappeared," Jeremy informs.
"Reboot system."
"Alright!" Jeremy cheers. We all sigh in relief.
Later at night
Inside Jeremy's room
Jeremy is sitting on his chair. Aelita is standing next to him with her arms crossed, but not in an upset way. Ulrich is tending to Yumi on Jeremy's bed.
Yumi was trapped the whole time by vines, her hair is a mess and she's exhausted. Along with a couple of bruises on her too. Ulrich, Odd, and Mia are sitting crossed legged on the floor. Kayori and I are too.
"Right, the repairs are only temporary, but at least they'll let us keep fighting Xana," Jeremy says.
"You did great, Aelita," Sissi compliments. "I remember that one time I called you Mrs. Einstein. It might have been an insult at the time, but now I think you definitely deserve that title."
"Don't forget that this last little adventure of ours cost us the ice sector," Yumi reminds us.
"Yeah, that is a shame. I'm going to have to find a way to virtualize you directly into Sector Five from now on," Jeremy says.
"It's okay don't worry, I'm sure you'll figure it out," I say.
"And as long as the mountain sector stays together, there's still hope," Odd adds.
"That's true," Kayori agrees. Mia nods too.
"Maybe, but for how long?" Ulrich asks.
Odd gets up and notices one of Jeremy's books. "Hey! I didn't know you had the solutions for bug fighter attack," he says, walking over to Jeremy's book shelf. "Do you mind?" he asks, about to take the book from his shelf.
"Careful not to knock anything over, Jim is coming over tomorrow to take another inspec-" Jeremy is about to say, but Odd completely knocks over the books, along with everything else. He screams, falling down, and a soda can rolls out of one of the fallen boxes. There's a box that fell onto Jeremy's head, too.
"Sorry..." Odd trails off. "Uh, you were saying?"
"Forget it," Jeremy replies.
"Odd, you are so helping Jeremy put everything back together by yourself," Mia says. Odd can't help but laugh nervously. I look at Odd.
Oh Odd, when will you learn? I think.
