Inside the lab
POV Lila's
Aelita and I are sitting on the holosphere display case. Aelita is using Jeremy's laptop while he's sitting on his chair. Together they work in unison creating the virtual sub.
William is bouncing a ball back and forth between the wall of the lab. Ulrich and Yumi had fallen asleep against the wall on the other side of the lab, with Odd and Sissi similarly dozing away to their side. Mary is back home; lately she and Emily have been getting along better since the last attack. It's kind of nice actually.
"Okay," Jeremy says. "The connecting blocks have been configured. Now, we have to compile the structural immediate data. Did you scan the random distortion components?" He looks to Aelita for an answer.
"It's done," Aelita responds.
"Alright, I'm programming the accident metric vectors to browse the dipolar coordinates," Jeremy continues.
"How's the sub coming along?" I ask. William's ball thumps against the wall again.
"Yeah should be interesting when we go on another Xana hunt," William says. He misses the ball this time, sending the sphere flying past Jeremy; the blond nerd ceases typing.
"William!" he exclaims. William puts his finger on his lips, trying to shush Jeremy.
"Quiet, or you'll wake up our sleeping beauties," William warns, then lets his finger drops.
We look over to Yumi and Ulrich who are sleeping next to each other, her head on his shoulder. Odd and Sissi are beside them, mimicking the position.
Jeremy's laptop beeps suddenly.
"The coordinates have been recognized by the supercomputer," Aelita informs. Jeremy looks at Aelita.
"That's great teamwork huh Aelita?" he asks and gives a thumbs up. "I couldn't have done it without your help."
Aelita continues typing on the laptop. There's a window running on it. "The programming is complete. It's time to launch the construction phase."
"Just a few more seconds now and I'll be ready too," Jeremy says, typing on the keyboard with a window open; it seems he's entering a few more lines of code.
I look at the others; Yumi has gotten up. She's not sleeping next to Ulrich anymore, and he yawns as he's starting to get up too. This causes Odd and Sissi to get up as well.
"What's - going on?" Odd asks with a yawn.
"They're almost done with the room," I reply.
"Okay I'm ready," Jeremy informs. "Now?" he asks, looking at Aelita.
"Now," Aelita replies. The window beeps on the computer.
Jeremy and Aelita press the enter key on their respective keyboards at the same time.
It continues beeping until a window pops up showing the hangar room. From here I can see it seems to have a docking bay too.
Yumi gets up and walks over to Jeremy. Sissi and Odd get up as well, they stretch a bit.
"What a nice nap," Sissi comments.
"What's that room?" Yumi asks looking at the room of the new hangar. "It's new to me," she says.
"It's new to everyone," Jeremy tells her. Odd, Sissi, and Ulrich walk over to Jeremy, checking out the new room.
"We'll use it as a sort of hangar for our sub," he explains.
"We've got to christen it, give it a name," Odd suggests. "All ships have a name."
William walks over to Jeremy too. He reaches him. Since it's getting a bit crowded, I walk over to Jeremy as well to check things out.
"A name would work, but what?" William asks.
"Odd, William, you should know that you don't christen a ship until the building is over. That's when it gets its real name," Jeremy replies, he looks at Odd and then at William. He looks back at the computer.
"But nothing says we can't give it a code name." A new window pops up as it seems the virtual sub is starting to be designed.
Odd has his arms crossed.
"Good idea. Why don't we call her… Lisa?" he asks.
Aelita gets up and puts her finger under her chin, thinking about it. "Lisa… but why?" she asks.
"It's one of the many nicknames for Elizabeth since that's my real name," Sissi explains.
"You're naming the ship after your girlfriend? Really?" Ulrich asks, but then looks at Sissi. "No offense," he says.
"None taken," Sissi says.
"You know it's pretty late. Why don't we talk about it while we're walking?" Yumi asks. She's starting to walk to the freight elevator.
Afterwards
In the woods
All of us are walking in the woods. Not only is it pretty late out but tonight for some reason it's foggy.
"The rest of the calculations should keep running by themselves until tomorrow afternoon," Jeremy says.
"By then the atomic layers of the virtual external structure will be complete. At 4pm sharp, Aelita will be launching phase two of the programming operation, the construction of the core. We're going to have to be on time, because if we're not the kinetic dipolar distortion energy will enter a dangerous and chromodynamic sinusoidal phase," he continues.
"Try again?" William asks.
"And in English?" Ulrich asks.
"Please," Sissi requests. "I speak Greek, not geek."
Aelita turns her head a bit, looking at the boys. "If we're not back at the factory by 4 then the core will collapse into itself," she explains and looks ahead. "Kind of like a black hole."
"Are you saying Lisa will be destroyed?" Odd asks.
Jeremy pushes his glasses to the bridge of his nose. "That's precisely what I'm saying. And it's going to take months before we can reprogram it," Jeremy says. "Months in which Xana can continue doing his dirty work without any interference from us."
"That's something we can't allow to happen," I say.
"It shouldn't happen, Lila. Jeremy and I still have some technical stuff to work on before we go to sleep," Aelita says.
The Next Day
In Literature class
Aelita told me last night she and Jeremy got detention… that's not good at all. We're usually pretty good at not getting caught by Jim but I guess last night was a bit late for us, I think.
Our literature teacher is writing on the blackboard.
"Shakespeare's work have been divided in a number of works. Comedies, tragedies, history plays, and dark comedies," she explains as I take notes. She continues lecturing. I'm sitting next to Mary. Sissi is sitting behind us with Odd and Ulrich. Jeremy and Aelita are sitting next to us.
"This is a disaster," Jeremy whispers. "If we're not back in the lab by 4pm sharp it's so long Lisa," he says.
"So what are you going to do?" Ulrich asks.
"Skip out," Aelita replies. "No matter what the consequences are."
"Aelita… you can't do that," I whisper.
"Yeah she's right. If you leave the library they'll throw you out of school for sure," Odd says.
"We absolutely need the submarine to travel through the network," Jeremy says.
"I get that but what happens to us when you guys get expelled? How do we fight Xana?" Sissi asks.
"Well Lila and myself do know some codes for the programs… but we wouldn't exactly be able to replace the two of you. You're irreplaceable," Mary whispers.
"Thanks," Aelita and Jeremy say. They smile.
"I have an idea!" Odd blurts out.
Our teacher turns around and stops writing on the blackboard.
"Yes Odd, we're listening. What do you find so much more interesting than shakespeare?" she asks, putting her hands on her hips.
"Um… Lisa?" Odd asks. This causes a lot of our classmates to start laughing. Sissi sighs but seems to be thankful that not too many people would realize it's a nickname for Elizabeth.
Afterwards
By the benches
A lot of the students are outside now since class had ended. Ulrich, Odd, Sissi, and I are sitting on the bench. Jeremy, Aelita, and Yumi are sitting on the other bench. Mary is standing.
"Actually Lisa as a code name is pretty lame," Ulrich comments but then looks at Sissi. "Again, no offense," he says.
"And again, none taken," Sissi smiles.
"Come on that's enough. Lisa or not we've still got a serious problem," Jeremy says.
"He's right," Mary agrees.
"What about using lunchtime to get away? We could just tell Jim you're in the infirmary because something you ate didn't agree with you," Odd suggests.
"Huh?" Jeremy asks and then looks at Aelita. "You think that might work?"
"What's on the menu for lunch?" Aelita asks.
"Ravioli," Ulrich replies.
"Oh yeah, it's bound to work," Jeremy says.
"Seems like a plan then," I nod.
Jim comes over to us and we hear him laughing. "Belpois, Stones," he says and walks over, laughing a bit more. "You know what? We're going to have lunch together. That way I can get you to the library right on time."
Aelita and Jeremy look at each other.
So much for that plan, I sigh internally. Aelita and Jeremy walk over to Jim as they start walking together. Yumi walks over to us and soon reaches us. William meets with us as well. He then reaches us too.
"Well what's happening?" Yumi asks.
"Is everything okay?" William asks.
"Not really. They've got company for lunch," Ulrich replies. William and Yumi look at Jeremy and Aelita is who with Jim. They continue making their way to the cafeteria.

Inside the cafeteria
The ravioli was okay… but it isn't exactly the best. I take a sip of tea and drink it. I sigh, it's pretty relaxing. I put my drink down.
"We've got to find a way to get them out of there by 4 o clock," Yumi says.
"Yeah no kidding," William says. "But how?" he asks.
Odd takes his cell phone out. He looks at it as if he gets an idea. He starts dialing a number and then puts the phone to his ear. He lets it ring before it seems someone picks up.
"Yes hello sir," Odd says, masking his voice poorly. There's a short pause.
"We wanted to congratulate you on winning the lottery," he informs. Another short pause before all of us see Jim standing out and stretching out his hands while holding his phone. He laughs.
A lot of the students look at him confused. He then smiles nervously and sits back down. I see him putting his phone back to his ear.
"Absolutely," Odd says. "But if you don't come to claim your prize immediately we're sorry but it's going to be given to the runner up."
There's another short pause and now it seems Odd is nervous.
"Uh… really are you sure? Uh… you wouldn't by any chance have a twin brother who could have bought one?" he asks. I look up to see a shadow standing over us and it's Jim. Odd hangs up and Jim leans in then points at him.
"Della Robbia you're the one who is going to which he had a twin brother to do the detention I'm going to give you," he says. Odd smiles nervously and Sissi sighs. Jim walks away and Sissi looks at Odd.
"That could have gone better," she says. Odd shrugs.
"Probably. Say Mary would you mind-" he starts to say and Mary interrupts her.
"Sure," Mary shrugs.
"Really? You'll do the detention for me?" Odd asks.
"Uh no," Mary says. All of us can't help but laugh a little at that as Odd slouches in his chair a little.

Inside the administration building
Just outside the library door
Odd thankfully had another plan in mind and now we're waiting for him on the steps that leads to the door of the library to see how the plan goes. Odd finally comes out but with his hands in his pockets and he looks a bit down. Ulrich is sitting on the steps and so is Sissi. Mary and I are standing.
"How'd it go?" Ulrich asks.
"Any luck?" Sissi asks.
"Not really. And a fiasco. I even got Kiwi mad," Odd replies. "And we can't use the door next time."
Ulrich and Sissi get up when I get an idea.
"The door might not work but we could use the window," I suggest.
"That might just work," Mary agrees.
Afterwards
Outside the administration building, by a window
Mary is lifting Ulrich with ease while Sissi, Odd, and I watch.
"Any luck?" Odd asks.
"The window is locked," Ulrich replies.
"There has to be another way," Sissi sighs.
"Hold on," Ulrich says. "There just might be. I think Jeremy is trying to give me a signal.
I see light shining at the window but it's strange.
Is… is that a pattern or something? I think.
Ulrich yelps as he falls off Mary. He lands on the ground and rubs his eyes. We run over to him.
"Was his message not clear?" Mary asks.
"It was a little too clear," Ulrich replies, rubbing his eyes.
Yumi and William arrive, Yumi has her hands on her hips.
"Well your bright ideas working out?" Yumi asks.
"Doesn't seem like it," William comments.
"They're not. And speaking of bright ideas Jeremy just tried to blind me with one of his," Ulrich says.
"Let me have a look," Yumi says.
Mary stands by the window again and Yumi goes to her. Mary lifts Yumi easily. I see the light again.
"It's morse code," Yumi confirms. "Turkey," she insults.
"Morse code turkey?" Odd asks.
"Sounds scrumptious."
"Pretty sure that's not what she meant Odd," Sissi says.
"It's not. Jeremy is trying to communicate with us," Yumi explains.
"What's he saying?" William asks, going over to us.
"Hang on," Yumi replies. "Three short, three long. Three short. SOS."
"When did you learn morse code?" Ulrich asks her.
"Hiroki and I keep secrets from our parents that way," Yumi explains.
The light shines several times. "Fac - tor- ry. Factory," Yumi says.
"SOS Factory? Not a word about Lisa?" Odd asks.
Mary lets Yumi down. "No time to lose, we've got to get to the factory," Yumi says and starts walking. She then looks at us. "The message ended with the word: Mia."
"Not good, let's go," I say. They nod.
Afterwards
By the riverbank
All of us are running on the riverbank. Mary is now in her human form, since we're no longer on school grounds.
Let's just hope we get to Lisa in time, I think.
Inside the lab
The freight elevator's doors open and all of us run inside. We run over to the computer where we see a window, containing a message from Jeremy, is open.
"Einstein left us a message," Odd points.
"Xana's attacking Lisa, Yumi take over for me. Mary stay with her in case of an emergency. The rest of you off to Lyoko," Yumi relays.
"Okay go on Yumi, you've done it before," Ulrich reminds her.
"Yeah but what if I make a mistake?" Yumi asks. Odd has both of his hands against his head in a relaxed position. He starts walking.
"We have no choice. We can't afford to lose Lisa," he says.
"Yumi you can do this," I smile.
"Yeah - plus you'll have Mary at your side," Sissi says.
"We have faith in you," Ulrich says. Yumi smiles. William seems a bit nervous but nods and smiles too.
Inside the scanner room
"We've got a huge problem. Once the protective shields are gone nothing can stop Xana from totally wiping out Lisa. And according to Jeremy it can't be reprogrammed," Yumi informs. Odd and Ulrich take their respective scanners. They step in. I take the middle scanner and I step in. "So as soon as you get to Sector Five you're going to have to work fast."
"Try not to mix things up because I don't want to find myself where my arms for my legs should be, and my nose to my navel," Odd says. "Can you imagine that?" he asks us.
"No," Ulrich replies.
"Not really. Don't worry so much Odd," Sissi says.
"If she's done it before she can do it again," William nods.
"They're right Yumi," I say.
"Are you ready?" Yumi asks.
"Do your stuff Yumi," Ulrich replies.
"Transfer: Ulrich," Yumi starts and his scanners' doors close.
"Transfer: Odd," his scanners doors close too and the room is a bit darker now.
"Transfer: Lila." My scanners doors close.
Afterwards
Sector Five
Arena Room
Odd, Ulrich, and I are virtualized directly into Sector Five. Everything starts aligning and we land on the floor safely. We see the corridor is getting aligned too.
"Virtualization!" Yumi exclaims. We look up to see Sissi and William virtualized.
They land on the floor in a crouch position.
"Two arms, two legs," Odd checks.
"It worked Yumi we're in the arena," Ulrich informs.
"Well done Yumi," Mary compliments.
"Thanks Mary. But I really should be thanking Jeremy," Yumi says.
With everything aligned, Sissi blurts,"Let's go!"
We start running and run through the corridor.
We get to the walls and they open side by side. We keep running as they open.
"Get going until you reach the access hall. Then take the platform elevator to the hangar," Yumi says.
"Gotcha," William says and we reach the end of the corridor. We come into the new room and it looks pretty amazing. There's a bridge that's just ahead of us in which I assume will lead to the platform elevator.
"Wow, Aelita did a fantastic job," Odd gawks.
"For sure," I nod.
We start running on the bridge and soon get to the end of it. The elevator comes down and fixes itself to the bridge. There are two transport orb color-scheme like side doors for the elevator.
"Looks like that's our ride," Sissi says. We step onto the platform elevator and it brings all of us to the hangar.
"Well everything is cool up to now," Yumi comments.
"Yumi we're almost at the hangar," Ulrich informs as the platform elevator keeps going up.
"Okay I'll let Jeremy know," Yumi says.
Afterwards
We start entering the hangar. We see the docking bay where Lisa is. We see Mia is indeed here, along with a few Xana Bots.
"You and William grab Mia's attention. Me, Sissi, and Lila will handle the Xana Bots," Odd decides. Ulrich and William nod.
We reach the hangar and the platform elevator fixes itself to the floor. Odd, Sissi, and I decide to drop below a bit and we hold onto the side doors so Mia doesn't see us.
POV William's
"Yo bigshot," Ulrich comments as we see Mia standing there with her kunai.
"You're going down kiddo," I declare. Ulrich and I backup as Mia looks at us. Ulrich takes his twin blades out while I draw my double edged sword. I grip the sides of it and Mia starts swinging her kunai at us. We continue backing up with each strike so the others will have a chance to get up here.
POV Lila's
We follow Odd's lead and monkey bar climb the railing that's underneath the floor. The three of us flip back onto the floor and land safely. One of the Xana Bots notices this and starts charging its laser. It fires its laser at us and Odd puts his hands together.
"Shield!" he exclaims. A purple shield appears in front of Odd's arms and the laser hits the shield, Odd swings the shield in the direction of the Xana Bot and fires back at it. The laser flies at the monster and hits it in the target eye. It explodes.
Odd laughs a bit before making his shield disperse and the three remaining Xana Bots turn their focus on us and away from Lisa. We back away and Sissi takes out her boomerang. I take my bow off its hook and prepare to channel my ice powers.
Odd kneels down and cocks his paw, firing a Laser Arrow at one of the Xana Bots, but the three of them zoom around and he misses.
POV William's
Mia is pushing us back with her kunai. We back off again and she swings her weapons at us. She misses, but Ulrich and I look down to see we've been pushed to the edge. Ulrich gasps a bit, though I keep my cool as Mia slashes at us again. She pushes Ulrich onto a railing, then strikes my stomach with the back of her weapon. I collapse to the floor, my sword skittering across the tiles.
Ulrich attacks Mia with his katanas, their weapons clashing before he side sweeps Mia. She falls to the ground, grunting from the impact. I take the opportunity to get up and I grab my double edged blade. Ulrich jumps off the railing and strikes at Mia who uses her arm to shield herself. I attack Mia and try to help Ulrich, but she uses both legs to kick the two of us in our stomach. I hold onto my weapon as we fly backwards, but we land on the floor safely.
"Mantas," Mia calls out.
POV Lila's
I haven't been able to use my bow or my powers because we're dodging the lasers from the Xana Bots. Sissi throws her boomerang in the direction of a Xana Bot. The boomerang slashes through the target eye of one of the Xana Bots, making the creature explode. The other two Xana Bots cease firing at us, focusing their lasers at the boomerang until it dematerializes into pixels.
"Aw my boomerang, not cool you little pests," Sissi groans.
They resume in firing at us again and we dodge the lasers. The Flying Mantas appear and add to the barrage.
"That's all we needed," Odd sighs sardonically. "Xana's other air force."
POV William's
Ulrich and I see the Mantas are starting to attack Lisa.
They fire their lasers at her.
"You've got this?" I ask.
"Yeah go," Ulrich tells me and he starts going after Mia again. I'm about to take off with my fire powers but Mia exclaims:
"Super smoke!" She disappears into black smoke and into the floor. Ulrich and I try looking for it but then I her appear behind me. It's too late to swing my weapon. She plunges her kunai into my stomach and I fall to the ground, dropping my double edged sword. It rolls off the edge and I can't help but stare as it falls all the way down.
"William!" Ulrich yells as I devirtualize in pixels.
POV Lila's
"William!" Ulrich yells. The three of us hear William being devirtualize while the Mantas continue firing their lasers at Lisa. I put my bow back on its hook. Sissi channels her emeralds. Odd fires a Laser Arrow at a Xana Bot as Sissi's emeralds glow green. She sends wind at the Xana Bot Odd attacked, not giving it room to move. The Xana Bot is hit by Odd's Laser Arrow in the target eye and it explodes.
With two remaining, I turn my attention to one of the Xana Bots. It looks at me and it starts charging its laser at me. It releases a laser at me but I jump into the air. I channel my ice power into my hand, and my amulet glows. Feeling the chill building to a peak, I hurl an ice blast straight at the Xana Bot, freezing the bot as I land. Not sure how long I have, I take my bow out and nock two arrows, loosing them at the frozen monster. The first one shatters the ice, the second piercing the eye. The Xana Bot explodes, and I sheathe my bow back on its hook.
I hear firing in the distance; it looks like Odd and Sissi are having difficulty against the remaining Xana Bot. They're dodging the lasers the monster fires at them. I start running over to them and it seems the Xana Bot notices this because it turns around to focus it's attack on me now. It quickly charges its laser and fires at me. I pull my hunter's knife out of its holster and reflect the laser, sending it back into the monster's eye. It explodes.
"Nice one," Sissi compliments and I put my blade back into its holster.
"Thanks," I say.
Suddenly Odd and Sissi are hit by lasers. Odd falls back onto the ground, his lower body shocking and Sissi is lifted onto her feet and devirtualizes in a cloud of pixels.
"Sissi!" Odd and I exclaim. We look up at the flying Manta that fired at her.
"You are going to regret that," I say.
The Manta fires at shot at Odd who dodges it before the monster flies down. I regroup with Odd and meeting up with him the Manta flies upward. Seeing it I channel my ice powers, and my snowflake amulet glows. The temperature drops around me, my hands freezing before I hurl a blast of ice as the Manta is about to pass us. It freezes in midair and Odd fires several Laser Arrows at the eye. His Laser Arrows go through the ice, cracking it, and hit the eye.
It explodes. Odd and I shield ourselves from any incoming pieces, but there doesn't seem to be any so we get back to work. I take my bow off its hook and I put an arrow on it. Odd cocks his paw and I pull the drawstring upward. Both of us launch our arrows at a Manta above us.
POV Sissi's
All of us are back in the lab with Mary and Yumi. The freight elevator's doors open revealing Jeremy and Aelita. I guess they skipped detention after all.
Hopefully I'll be able to get them off the hook if my father finds out, I think.
"Good it's about time," Yumi says.
"Welcome back you two," Mary says.
"Thanks Mary. Yumi, Aelita, head to the scanners. Only eight minutes to go," Jeremy says, checking his watch.
POV Lila's
Odd has his paw cocked and I'm trying to focus my arrow on the Manta.
"Get over here sweety, Lila and I need you," Odd says. The flying Manta fires a laser at us and we dodge it. The Manta flies close to us so Odd jumps off it. He's about to fire into its' target eye.
"Ulrich, Lila, Odd. Backup is on the way," Jeremy informs.
Odd fires off a couple of Laser Arrows into the Manta's target eye. He flips downwards into the air before it explodes.
"Great because things are heating up here," Odd says. The Manta takes the opportunity to fire a laser at Odd and he's hit by it.
"Odd!" I exclaim. As he's falling down he devirtualizes in a cloud of pixels. I glare at the Manta and I'm about to pull my drawstring at it with the target eye in view but the Manta fires at me. I don't have enough time to react so I'm hit by the Manta. I drop my weapons as I'm pushed off my feet, devirtualizing in a cloud of pixels too.
Inside the scanner room
Back inside the scanner
The scanner doors' open and I groan.
Stupid Manta… I think. Odd and I get out of our scanners we look. The freight elevator's doors open. Aelita and Yumi rush in. Giving them room so that they can get into the scanners, Odd and I start heading towards the freight elevator.
Inside the lab
The freight elevator's doors open. Odd and I see Jeremy typing away at the keyboard as well as Sissi, William, and Mary standing by them. We walk out of the freight elevator and over to them. We soon reach them and pulling down his sleeve Odd checks his watch.
"It's about time," Odd comments. "Do you realize it's five minutes to four?" he asks.
"I know Odd, I know. Only five minutes to run Lisa's core program, but even more important all of her protection shields are just about down to zero," Jeremy explains.
"Think we'll make it?" William asks.
"I hope so William, I hope so," I reply.
"We have to," Jeremy says.
I look at Mary and she nods. She seems confident that we're going to make it. We look at the computer screen. Ulrich's ID card pop ups and it starts turning blue meaning he's devirtualized. Once it blinks blue completely, another window pops up with Lisa's info. Next to it is Yumi's ID card.
"Hurry ladies, the sub has only 7 percent of its life points left," Jeremy informs. He's still typing away. Sissi looks at me with concern, she doesn't seem to think we'll make it.
"Energy field!" we hear Aelita exclaim.
"Yumi, Aelita, the sub's shield is almost totally gone," Jeremy says. "One more hit and it's all over for Lisa…" he trails off.
"Energy field!" we hear Aelita shout again. There's a short pause before Yumi asks:
"You okay Aelita?"
I sigh in relief. They did it.
"3:59 and a half, forty-five seconds, forty-six, forty-seven," Odd counts, looking at his watch. Jeremy presses the enter key on the keyboard.
"Well?" Mary asks.
"It's done," Jeremy replies. "The program for phase 2 is underway," he says.
"Yeah!" Aelita and Yumi exclaim.
"Alright!" William yells gleefully. He high fives Odd, who returns the gesture.
Sissi sighs in relief.
"Thank goodness, I was worried there for a second," she says.
"Yeah too close," I agree.
"Jeremy, our ship is finally completed," Aelita informs.
The freight elevator's doors open revealing Ulrich. He has his hand on his head, it seems Mia beat him pretty good. He walks into the lab trying to shake it off. All of us go to him to see the sub. Odd is the first one next to Jeremy, with Ulrich being the last. Jeremy sighs in relief.
"Oh wow, close call for Lisa huh?" Odd asks. Jeremy looks at Odd and nods.
Afterwards
Inside the Hermitage
All of us are inside the Hermitage trying to come up with a new name for the ship. Mary is back at school posing as Mia. Aelita is looking around the house for something.
"But Lisa is a great name, why don't we keep it?" Odd asks. Jeremy is sitting on the couch, that has a lot of old papers on it. Odd, William, and Sissi are sitting on the floor. They're crossed legged. Yumi and Ulrich are sitting on a chair, Ulrich sitting at the very top. I'm sitting next to Jeremy, against the couch on the floor.
"It's a nice gesture Odd dear, but it's really only a name for a girl," Sissi says.
"Yeah Sissi's right. It's not a name for a submarine," Yumi chimes in.
"Well for a ship that's going to hunt down Xana on the network we need a name that's got to have some punch. Like… Nautilus for example," Jeremy suggests.
"Hmm… that's pretty original," Odd remarks sarcastically.
"Captain Nemo wants his ship back."
"Find a better one then," Jeremy retorts.
"There should be a better one than that," William chastises, agreeing with Odd.
"Aelita, are you coming?" Ulrich asks.
"I'll be right there," Aelita calls out. All of us have our heads down but Aelita comes back into the living room.
I see she's holding a red book. She has it opened and walks over to us.
"My father used to read me this book when I was five," she tells us.
"Vikings, Gods, and Legends?" Jeremy asks, looking at the book. Aelita walks over to him, I move to the left to give her room. She hands Jeremy the book, putting it on his lap.
"Look at that. It was a mythical tall ship that could even sail on land and always reach its destination. No matter what kind of wind was blowing," Aelita explains.
"The Skidbladnir?" Jeremy asks looking at the book.
"Skid's- skidblah- skid's- skid- what?" Odd stammers, unable to pronounce the name.
"I really like that name," Jeremy says.
"Yeah me too," I agree.
"I like it too," Ulrich says.
"Ditto," Sissi nods. Jeremy gets up from the couch. "Okay, our new ships' name is now: Skidbladnir."
"Skid. What about Skid for short?" Odd asks.
"That can work," William agrees.
"Hey, what about Jim? How did he react when he found out you guys were gone?" Ulrich asks. Jeremy closes the book and looks at Aelita. They both smile.
"Well… we haven't seen him since so maybe he forgot about us," Jeremy surmises. Aelita holds her hands up.
"I haven't seen him on campus at all. He must have other things on his mind," Aelita says.
Well whatever those other things may be, let's just hope everything works itself out in time, I think.
