Pearl's N-word problem

Chapter 1: Pearl Unchained

(Freeman Residence, no this is not Half-Life.)

Morgan Freeman walks into his living room, a poster for March of the Penguins hangs on a wall, a Gotham city newspaper about Lucius Fox from the Dark Knight trilogy and a trash bin filled with crumpled up Black History Month papers and requests for him to support despite the fact he is against BHM.

"Hello everybody I'm Morgan Freeman, and today I'm going to read a story called "Pearl's N-Word Problem." Now, once upon a time, there was an uptight crystal gem named Pearl who missed Rose Quartz. During this time, she met a new lover named Garnet. The two fell in love and Pearl wanted to propose. But had to wait for Garnet to return from a basketball game tour. This wasn't just because Garnet was black but also because she had mad skills and predicted the other team's moves. Despite this, Garnet vowed to date Pearl when she returned. Pearl's life had been good up to that point. Then one day Steven and Connie returned home…."

(Transition to Story book as the characters in the pictures come to life)

(Steven's House)

"Affirmative action? Check. Downplaying the Chicago kidnapping? Check. Kissing Jesse Jackson's ass? Check. Subscribing to my favorite anti white Gazi Kodzo? Check! Collect all of Spike Lee's films during Black History Month, Check. Celebrating the fact Zimbabwe's White Minority are treated as 2nd class citizens and white farmers land stolen for black farmers? Checkaroo! Oh Garnet, when you return, I vow to worship your black body, mind and soul." Fluttered Pearl.

"Hey Pearl, Connie and I are gonna watch Django Unchained and wondered if you wanted to watch with us?" Asked Steven.

"Well it's R-rated but since it's a movie, I see no harm, okay thanks!" Said Pearl.

(The part where the N-Word is first spoken by a white person)

"HE SAID IT! HE'S A WHITE MAN WHO SAID THE N-WORD (3x) DING DING DING! TARANTINO IS A WHITE SUPREMACIST! I WON'T ALLOW HIM TO GET AWAY WITH MAKING SUCH A FILM! I'M GONNA RUIN THIS RACIST MOTHER FUCKER'S CAREER! I'LL SEE TO IT THAT THE N-WORD NEVER SLITHERS INTO ANOTHER MOTION PICTURE EVER…..(slips) WOOOAH!" Said Pearl as she slipped and bumped her head. Steven and Connie shut the movie off and assist Pearl.

(10 minutes later)

"Steven, she's waking up." Said Connie.

"Pearl, are you hurt?" Asked Steven.

Pearl brushed them aside and intended to say "No I'm Fine thanks for asking." That would've been okay, but instead….well… Pearl Said…

"Niggers."

Pearl quickly closed her mouth with her hands, eyes wide open, and sweating. There was a great disturbance in the town of Beach City, as if a thousand angry Tumblr users suddenly shouted cries of racism and sexism, then suddenly silence.

Connie and Steven froze, you could drop a pin and they would hear it.

Steven broke the silence.

"Pearl…..did you just say…?"

"NIGGERS NIGGERS NIG….." Pearl closed her mouth again.

Connie added, "Wow I….never knew…..how you saw African…"

"NIG…...NIG…..(stops and tries to explain) NIGGERS!" Said Pearl.

"Steven something's wrong with Pearl!" Said Connie.

"Niiii….GGers!" Said Pearl, trying to say something else.

"I know, she would never talk this way." Said Steven.

"NiGgErS!" Said Pearl.

Steven asks "Wait, Pearl, who are Michelle and Barack Obama…?"

"Niggers." Gasped Pearl.

Connie Asks "What were George Floyd and Robert Mugabe known for….?"

"Niggers." Blurted Pearl.

Steven asks "Killer Keemstar and Pewdiepie's favorite word?"

"NIGGERS!" Said a scared Pearl.

"What if she stays like this?!" Asked Connie.

"Niggers?!" Asked Pearl.

"She'll get destroyed by society!" Said Steven.

Pearl then runs around in circles, waving her arms all crazy, tears in her eyes, freaking out and screaming "NIIIIIHIHIHIHIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGEEEEEERRRRSSS, NNIIIIIIIIIIHIHIHIHIHIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRSSS!" (What screaming Niggers while crying sounds like)

"Wait Connie." Said Steven.

"Yeah Steven?" Asked Connie.

"Pearl, she has a date with Garnet tonight." Said Steven.

"Niggers?" Said Pearl.

"And Garnet is Black!" Said Connie.

"Niggers?!" Said Pearl.

"The way she'll flip!" Said Steven.

Pearl then envisioned Garnet curb stomping her head onto the pavement, Gem included.

"NIIIIIIIIIIGEEEEEEEEERSSSSS!" Pearl wept.

"Wait Steven, since Pearl can only say the N-word, what if Pearl writes her thoughts down instead?" Asked Connie.

"Niggers?" Pearl stopped weeping, some hope in her tone.

"Yeah that's it! Hang on I got some pens and papers! (Gets them) Here ya go Pearl!" Said Steven as he handed Pearl the writing material.

"NIGGERS!" Said Pearl, which meant "Thanks."

(5 minutes later)

Pearl hands Steven and Connie what she wrote, their smiles vanishing.

"Uh….Pearl?" Asked Steven as he showed her the paper.

Upon closer inspection, Pearl saw that she wrote "Niggers" over and over again, from cursive writing to ghetto graffiti art.

"...Niggers." Pearl facepalmed.
