Now that Seth knows the whole Truth about Sasha and Roman, the Shield have a very difficult decision to make. With the New Year just around the corner, DX do everything they can to stop things from getting out of control.
Chapter Three – The Christmas Party Crashers
The DX Christmas Party
The Shield came back down from the roof and joined the rest of the roster back inside DX Inc. The party was in full swing; the tables had been cleared away and it was dance time. Alexa Bliss looked at her watch, Becky Lynch hadn't come back yet with Bianca and the Boss but it was raffle time and she couldn't keep the people waiting any longer.
"Lexi have you seen my wife?" Seth asked coming over to the Blissful Co-Host.
"Last time I saw her she was rocking a sweet pair of Ugg boots, your wife really has great taste HBK," Alexa Bliss said and Seth furrowed his brow.
"Um Alexa, its Seth, my name is Seth," Seth corrected her.
"I know your name is Seth," Alexa replied.
"But you just called me HBK," Seth replied.
"Sorry, you guys do kinda look alike," Alexa said biding time for Becky to return with Bianca and Sasha.
"We look nothing like each other," Seth said shaking his head.
"Yeah, if anything he looks more like Hunter," Roman said overhearing the conversation. "What has gotten into you Bliss?"
"Your dessert I guess, too much of the Big Dog's banana cream pie!" Bliss said and the Shield looked at her like she was crazy. "Come on its not like I called you Kenny Omega,"
Seth gasped in horror and he was about to sternly rebuke Bliss for the comparison when the Cleaner showed up with the rest of the NXT locker room.
"What is NXT doing here?" Alexa said and Roman shrugged.
"I have no idea," he said looking over at DX who were setting up the karaoke machine. "I don't even know if DX know they're here,"
"That's because they're not supposed to be here," Alexa said and she grabbed Roman by the arm and the Christmas Party Co-Hosts walked over to the NXT roster with the Big Dog.
"Things are about to get ugly, I think I'm gonna find that beautiful wife of mine. Wanna come? Sasha and Renee are most likely together," Dean said to Seth.
"Sure but shouldn't we stay in-case Roman needs backup?" Seth said.
"Roman can handle the entire NXT roster on his own Seth he doesn't need backup," Dean said confidently.
"Yeah but still, let's just stand by and make sure things don't get out of control," Seth said and Dean shrugged. "What's up?"
"I dunno, does any of this NXT stuff interest you? This whole thing with Stephanie using Bayley and now Charlotte to get at DX so she can take NXT away from them. I just find the whole thing really boring," Dean said.
"Deano, if Stephanie takes NXT away from DX she'll ruin the company. She'll undo everything DX has spent the last ten years building and we'll all be out of work," Seth explained. "Right now I can't afford to lose my job I've got a baby and a very high maintenance wife to think about,"
"You're a Christian now Seth and the Bible says that the Lord shall provide all of your needs according to his riches in glory," Dean Ambrose said and Seth's face lit up impressed.
"You've been reading your Bible!" he said joyfully.
"Yeah those Michaels kids, you spend one night at their place in Agoura Hills and you leave knowing more about Jesus than you did going in. You don't need this job Seth, this place has had you for the better part of the century," Dean Ambrose said and Seth shook his head not understanding what Dean Ambrose was saying.
"What are you saying?" Seth asked him.
"I'm not really saying anything this is just drunk Christmas talk," Ambrose replied. "I'll say one more thing and then I'll shut up. The one thing Hunter has never been able to do is replace you. Now that the Cleaner is at NXT, he might finally be able to do that. Hunter has never liked you and he has never wanted you to reach as far as you have in this industry. Roman and I are the only reason you're still working here. Whatever happens between DX and Stephanie McMahon, you, Sasha, Alexa and Bianca can all kiss this place goodbye," Dean Ambrose said and Seth couldn't believe what he was hearing. "Remember this is just Christmas drunk talk,"
"How drunk are you?" Seth asked Dean.
"Drunk enough to know I sound crazy right now but sober enough to know that God has something better planned for you and your family next year. I'll stop talking now," Dean said and Seth nodded: that was a good idea.
"Okay now that you're through rambling, let's go backup Roman," Seth said.
"Yes my captain," Dean replied as Seth gripped him by the neck and pulled him in for an embrace like a loving brother.
The NXT roster was flanking Kenny Omega and staring down Roman and Alexa, "Whoa what's with the standoff?" Kenny Omega asked them.
"You guys aren't supposed to be here, this party is for the main roster only," Alexa Bliss said.
"Relax Bliss, we just came to pick up Bexley. She's NXT now and we wanted to take her out to celebrate her return to the black and gold brand," Kenny Omega said.
"Becky isn't here right now, you can wait for her outside," Roman replied and DX came over to them.
"What do you mean Becky's not here? Where the Hell is she?" Hunter asked Roman and Alexa.
"She'll be right back boss don't worry. Can you please tell these NXT guys to leave? They're not supposed to be here and they're not wearing any of our specially made Christmas gear," Alexa said to Hunter.
"Now guys this is not the time for hostility, I'm sure we can all get along for one night. Why don't you guys take a seat, grab a drink and we can start the Christmas raffle?" Shawn said and Seth looked at HBK.
"We do not look alike," he said and Shawn smiled at him.
"I've been compared to some of the greatest wrestlers in the world Seth, I don't mind if people think we look alike," Shawn said and Seth took that as a compliment.
"Oh enough, everyone knows I'm the greatest wrestler that ever walked the face of the planet Earth," Kenny Omega said. "Alexa can you call Becky so we can get outta here? This main roster BS is really bad for my complexion,"
Roman Reigns stepped a little closer to Kenny Omega, "If you have a problem with the way you look I'd be glad to rearrange your face for you? Give you that Roman Reign's make over, so you can stop running your b* a* mouth about the main roster," Reigns said and now it was time for Seth and Dean to stand next to their big brother.
"Okay let's stay in the Christmas spirit Co-Host," Alexa said getting in-between Roman and Kenny.
Rhea Ripley gave Alexa Bliss a dirty look, "Kenny might be looking for Becky Lynch, I personally wanna smash her face in. I don't want to be here anymore than you want us to be here. NXT was fine without that crazy Lynch showing up and getting in my face, I might just need someone a little smaller to take my frustration out on,"
Alexa Bliss had to decide if she wanted to get physical and ruin her perfect Christmas Party but AJ Styles came to her rescue.
"That won't be necessary Rhea, Alexa and I need to have a conversation," AJ Styles said pulling Alexa Bliss out of Rhea Ripley's line of sight.
"AJ what are you doing?" Alexa asked her former fiance.
"I've been trying to figure out what to say to you all night," AJ Styles said sincerely. "Alexa I'm so sorry for breaking things off with you in Los Angeles over a little weight gain,"
"It was a lot of weight gain AJ Styles, its fine I get it. You don't like fat chicks, I've lived and I've learned now we can both move on and forget this whole engagement thing ever happened," Alexa Bliss said.
"But I don't want to forget it ever happened. Alexa, I want to marry you before the end of the year, just like we planned. Please Alexa, I'm so sorry I screwed up our plans, just say you forgive me and I'll see you at the altar at Clearwater Baptist Church next week," AJ Styles said and Alexa Bliss couldn't believe AJ was re-asking her to marry him.
"AJ you showed me a side of myself I never knew existed. You showed me that I don't need a man in order to validate my existence on this earth. So the answer to your marriage re-proposal is no AJ. You had your chance and you blew it, now please don't bring it up again, or I might bring up Roman's delicious Christmas dinner and that would be a waste of a real good meal," Alexa replied and she walked back over to the Shield leaving AJ Styles deflated but not discouraged.
"I'll win you back Alexa, I don't know how but I will marry you before the end of the year," AJ Styles vowed and he walked over to Kenny Omega. "You guys can sit with me and Finn,"
"Sounds good to me, let's go NXT, we got a seat at the table with the Phenomenal One," Kenny Omega said.
"I'm sorry but all the tables have been packed away," Alexa Bliss said. "Its raffle time and that will be swiftly followed by dance time. Hopefully by that time Becky will be back and you'll all be gone,"
"Oh Alexa why so bitter? Is it because your NXT crush married a wrestler with blue hair instead of you?" Kenny Omega teased Alexa.
"Oh ha-ha, that's a good one. Marrying Seth would be like incest and I'm just not into that sort of thiing," Alexa said and Seth chuckled.
"Where is that blue haired wife of mine?" he said as the NXT roster departed from the Shield and Alexa.
"Hopefully somewhere keeping her mouth shut," Hunter replied. "Seriously Seth, if your wife says one more word about Charlotte Flair and her angle with Montez Ford, we might need to have a serious conversation,"
"More serious then the one we're having now?" Seth replied and Hunter gave him a stern look of disapproval.
"I'm not kidding Seth, keep your wife in check," Hunter said firmly and Roman and Alexa looked at each other uncomfortably.
"That was intense," Roman said as Hunter walked away and Dean looked on as DX continued to make Seth sound like a kid in detention. "Sasha's not a dog on a leash, how are you supposed to stop her from speaking her mind?"
Seth had no intention of gagging his wife, it was Bianca Belair's mouth that he was more interested in gagging right now. Unlike his wife's threatening words to Charlotte Flair, the words that came out of Bianca Belair's mouth came directly from God and when the secret was finally out, Seth would be taking those words very seriously indeed.
