POV Lila's
"Hang on, let me get this straight," Odd says. "You and Einstein spent an entire weekend together. All you did was- was work?" he asks, stammering a bit.
"Does seem like a waste of a perfectly good weekend," Sissi agrees.
Aelita puts her hands up a bit, but not in a defensive manner or anything.
"Well, we had to work on the super scan," she explains.
"Yeah right," Odd says. He puts his hands up in different directions. "You guys are worse than Yumi and Ulrich." Yumi gasps, and Ulrich looks at him.
"Hey!" he exclaims. Odd puts his hands down, only to hold one of them out.
"Well, it's true, you're always trying to convince you're just good friends and all that stuff. Since William's not pursuing Yumi anymore-" Odd says, but William interrupts him.
"Dude, come on," he says.
"Sorry William, but it's the truth. And Lila even told us about what happens in the future-" Odd goes on, but I glare at him.
"They already told us what their plans were. Besides, I never even knew when they got together," I say.
Ulrich and Yumi look at each other. I can see them blushing.
"By the way, where is Einstein?" Odd asks.
"I don't know, I'm a little worried about him," Aelita answers, holding her hand up.
"Ever since he found out Xana had infected hundreds of supercomputers around the world- he's always at the factory, here in his room-" Aelita gets interrupted by her cell phone ringing. She takes it out, and looks at the ID.
"That's him now," Aelita says. She answers it.
"Yes, Jeremy?" Aelita asks. "I was just beginning to worry," she says. We see Jeremy walks out of the building and gets behind her. "Where are you?" she asks.
"Right behind you," Jeremy replies. Aelita laughs a little.
"Quit being so silly," she says, ending the phone call. She uses her cell phone to touch Jeremy's arm.
"Einstein, a comedian?" Ulrich asks, then points to him. "You were right to be worried about him, I don't think he's all there." Aelita can't help but laugh a little. She looks at him, then puts her hands on her hips.
"Got some news, Jeremy?" Yumi asks.
Jeremy adjusts his glasses a bit. He lifts his finger.
"Just a little, I finally figured out a way to wipe out Xana," our eyes widen. William is the most surprised, but Mary doesn't seem too surprised. I guess she would know, after all.
"Huh?" Odd asks.
Yumi can't help but gasp. I look at my father. Whatever he's thinking… he's serious about it.
Afterwards
Jeremy's Room
"So how does it work?" Mary asks.
"A multi agent system," Jeremy replies, sitting on top of his desk next to his computer.
"Huh, are you absolutely sure?" Yumi asks. "A multi agent system?"
"Yup, that's it," Jeremy confirms. "I decided to go over all Franz Hopper's notes again." He adjusts his glasses once again.
"As well as the data he sent from the network when he was escaping from Lyoko," he goes on, then points to Yumi. "And of course, the data you gathered when you were traveling on the Skid. That's when I realized, if we want to get rid of Xana, it's through a system of multi agents."
Ulrich, Aelita, and I are sitting on the ground. Mary is standing up too, with Odd and Sissi standing up too. Aelita lifts her hands up slightly.
"It sounds pretty dangerous, don't you think?" Aelita asks. Ulrich and I look at her, she puts her hands together. "I mean, Xana himself is a multi agent system. And don't forget what happened with the Marabounta," she reminds him.
"Oh, that was awful," I shudder.
"Marabounta? What happened there?" William asks.
"Long story short? It got out of control, and we had to fix Einstein's mess," Ulrich explains.
"Ah," William nods.
"You know, Aelita is right," Odd says, then shifts to point his fingers at Jeremy. "That was a pretty creepy invention,"
"Sounds like it, glad I wasn't there for that bit," Sissi says.
"Yeah, you wouldn't have liked it at all," I agree.
"Would you stop worrying? I am not going to launch my program until I'm totally sure it's going to work," Jeremy tells us. "Right now, all that I could destroy are two or three Megatanks. On the other hand…" he trails off a bit.
Ulrich has his hand on his knee.
"Go on, we're listening," he urges.
"Xana made a really big mistake, when he teleported Mia during your last mission to the ice sector replika," Jeremy says.
"And the data I found in the tower," she adds. "Was it of any use to you?"
"Was it ever," Jeremy says, pointing to Aelita. "Thanks to that data, I was able to imagine a program for freeing Mia."
"You… you mean like for good?" William asks.
"You bet for good," Jeremy answers. "It's so simple. All Aelita has to do is get to the supercomputer that corresponds to the ice sector replika and run a program at the exact same moment one of you devirtualizes Mia."
I look at Aelita, her eyes are widened.
That doesn't sound simple… I trail off. If we aren't synced… it could go wrong.
Yumi rubs the back of her head. She stops leaning against Jeremy's closet.
"Oh wow, that's simple alright," she says sarcastically. She puts one hand on her hip. "Piece of cake, huh," she says, then lets her hands drop.
"And you think Mia is just going to tweedle her thumbs while Aelita enters the program?" Ulrich asks.
"Plus, taking on Mia isn't exactly easy, Einstein," Sissi chastises. Jeremy lifts his hands up.
"I said it was simple, but not easy," he says. Ulrich, Aelita, and I get up from the floor.
"You forgot one little detail: what if Xana sends us King-Kong like he did last time?" Odd asks.
"Who, the Kolossus?" Jeremy asks. "Think of him as just one of Xana's monsters that you've got to fight against."
Ulrich leans forward and points at Jeremy.
"Maybe we should introduce you to him. Then you would understand," he says. Jeremy points at us.
"Hey, fighting happens to be your job," he says, then puts his hands on his shirt. "Mine happens to be programming. You all know that."
Aelita looks up. "If there's a chance of bringing the real Mia back," she says, then looks at us. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!"
Jeremy puts his hand on his chin.
"Yeah, no reason to wait. Everyone to the factory!"
"It'll be great to have Mia back," William says. "But what about you, Mary?" he asks. We look at her.
"I'll tell Mr. Delmas I'm not feeling very well, and ask permission to head home," she replies.
"Sounds like a plan," I say. We start walking over to the door. Yumi is the closest one to the door, so she opens it.
"What, right now?" Odd asks. One by one, we start leaving the room. "But they got tuna casseroles, sauerkraut and sausages for lunch today."
Mary and I are already out of the room, but Jeremy is behind me.
"You can have lunch tonight," Jeremy says to Odd. "Let's go," he insists.
"Anyone ever tell you they eat dinner at night?" Odd asks, finally leaving
Jeremy's room. He closes the door behind him. Now Mary and I start walking again.
Mia's coming home… I can't believe it, I think.

Inside the tunnel
Inside the Nav Skid
Mary texted us earlier and confirmed that she got out of school for the rest of the day, so we don't have to worry about that and can focus on the mission.
"Holoweb system, online. Aelita, I'm sending you the ice sector replika's coordinates," Jeremy informs. The Skid continues going through the tunnel.
"I'm on it, Jeremy," Aelita says. The "portal" opens up, and the Skid enters the digital sea.
Digital Sea
The "portal" closes behind us, the Skid is still in its vertical position.
"Rotation," Aelita says. The engines turn on, and the Skid gets into its horizontal position. Once it fixes itself into position, the turbos fire and off we go.
"Here we go," Aelita says.
Afterwards
Surprisingly, we made it to the "portal" of the replika without any issues. The Skid starts slowing down and moving towards it.
"I've got a visual on the repika," Aelita informs. The Skid stops moving and shifts into vertical position.
"Digital key activated," she says. The light blue energy shoots out of the Skid. It connects with the "portal."
"Good work, Aelita," Jeremy compliments. "I'll let you in."
The energy disperses, and the "portal" lights up. It moves downwards, and everything opens fully. In we go.
Once we're in, the entrance and "portal" closes behind us.
Afterwards
Ice Sector Replika
The Skid flies out of the digital sea, and heads toward the platforms.
"Okay, no signs of any activated tower. There's a tower south, south west of your position. You can dock the Skid there. I'm going to teleport you with Odd and Lila."
"Gotcha," Aelita says.
This is it. Mia, today… you're coming home with us. I only hope we'll be able to talk about what Mary and I told you, I think.
Afterwards
Siberia
Odd, Aelita, and I are teleported to Siberia in flashes of yellow. The three of us land on the snow-filled ground easily. Seeing a path to the lab, we start running.
Shortly after, we reach the building and Aelita peeks her head into the window of the door. She opens the door, and we walk in. Aelita is the only one who is still outside.
"Jeremy, everything's cool, we're inside the base," Aelita informs.
"That's great, make it fast. Xana is bound to rear his ugly head pretty soon."
Odd and I gesture Aelita to go ahead.
"Aelita," I start.
"After you princess," Odd says.
Aelita covers her mouth with her hand, laughing a bit. She steps in the base, then turns ahead. We start walking.
Ice Sector Replika
Outside the Skid
POV William's
I still can't believe it…. Mia is coming home. There's so much I need to talk to her about, I think.
"William…" Sissi trails off, looking at me.
"You okay?" she asks.
"I am," I nod. "Just a lot on my mind."
"It's crazy, isn't it?" Yumi asks. "I can't believe we're actually going to bring home the real Mia."
"Me neither. It'll be nice to have her as a roommate again," Sissi says.
"Yumi, William, Sissi, Ulrich. Speaking of Mia, the radar shows her coming in dead ahead."
Looking in that direction, we don't see anything.
"Uh huh, speak of the devil," Ulrich says. As she comes into view, we see Mia flying on her tamed Manta along with another Manta by their side. "There she is," Ulrich points.
"Try to slow her down. Here come your vehicles."
"Okay," Ulrich says.
Ulrich's Overbike starts materializing, then Sissi's Overbike, along with Yumi's Overwing, and my Overdrive. We start running and our vehicles are fully materialized. We get on them and take off towards Mia.
Inside the building
POV Lila's
"Aelita, Odd, Lila, how's it going?"
The door slides open by itself, we enter the main room. I gasp, seeing what's in here.
"We're coming into the main room-wow!" Odd exclaims. Odd, Aelita, and I walk over to the railing.
"It's a lot more crowded than the last time we were here," he mentions.
"Why? What do you see over there?"
Looking down at them… I see dozens of robots. Human shaped, 10 foot tall robots.
Why didn't dad or Mary ever tell me about this? I think.
"Jeremy, there are dozens of robots in here," Aelita informs. "All lined up like an army waiting for orders."
"So that could be Xana's secret plan: to use an army of robots to enslave all of mankind."
"It's happening all over again…" I trail off. Aelita and Odd look at me.
"Hey, we won't let it come to that," Aelita says, trying to reassure me. I smile weakly.
"Thanks. Jeremy, what can we do about this?" I ask.
"Get to the supercomputer room as fast as you can," Jeremy answers.
"We're going," I say. The three of us look at each other and nod.
Shortly after, we make our way down the stairs. We start walking along a small bridge-like platform.
Ice Sector Replika
POV William's
I urge my Overdrive to go faster, tilting my weight as I do so. Yumi and Sissi are ahead of Ulrich and I.
"Leave your roommate to me, Sissi," Ulrich says.
"Okay," Sissi agrees. I sigh.
"Ulrich… just…" I trail off.
"I got her, William, don't worry," he says, trying to reassure me.
"Don't forget. We're just supposed to slow her down," Yumi reminds him.
"No problem," Ulrich nods. He revs up his Overbike, taking off. The other Manta fires a laser at Yumi, Sissi, and I but we dodge. The three of us continue driving high in the air to get to the Manta, leaving Ulrich to deal with Mia. Mia gestures her Manta to follow us.
"Go on!" she exclaims.
Main Entrance Room
POV Lila's
Having walked down the stairs, we start walking in by the lines of the Robots.
"Hi guys," Odd says. He marvels at their design. A single Xana symbol on the yellow plate on the right sides of their chests. The rest of the robot's bodies are all silver/gray. They're very shiny, we can see our own reflections in them.
"They're not much for conversation, that's for sure," Odd jokes. I roll my
eyes. He should know this isn't a joking matter. We see more stairs ahead, there's a very large door at the top.
"Open up, Xana," Odd calls out. We start walking up the stairs. "It's little red riding hood." We reach the top of the steps. "Uh, pink, that is," Odd says. "Sorry, Lila, she didn't have a traveling companion in the book.
"It's fine," I say, shrugging. Aelita smiles.
"I'm working on the door," Jeremy informs.
"It's scary looking... with all of those robots standing at attention," Aelita says, looking at them.
"That's for sure," I agree.
I see Odd walking to the front of the door. He starts looking in the direction of the robots. He puts his hand on his head, then points it at them.
"Hey, one of them just moved!" he exclaims.
I grip my hunter knife just in case.
"Where?" Aelita asks, looking.
"Which one?" I ask.
Odd puts his hand down.
"Oh, will you two relax? I was just kidding," he says. Odd covers his mouth with his hand, holding in his laugh.
"Odd!" I exclaim at him.
"Dumbbell," Aelita chastises. She and I turn away, crossing our arms.
"Hey, one of them just moved," Odd says again, pointing to them.
"Aelita, remind me how the story: The Big Bad Wolf ended?" I ask her.
"You hear Lila, Odd? It's not funny this time either," Aelita says.
"I'm serious! It's no joke this time," Odd says, still pointing.
Aelita and I turn our heads, we see that the robots have indeed been activated. Their chest plates are glowing yellow, and their eyes are glowing red. One by one they start marching.
"Uh... Einstein, tell us you found the right key, because things are getting weird around here," Odd says. Aelita and I go over to Odd. Aelita covers her mouth.
Dad! What are those ugly things?! My younger self's words echo in my mind. I shake my head, these robots remind me of my past. But I must move forward.
Get a hold of yourself, Lila, I tell myself.
The Robots start walking over to us, then start charging their lasers.
"Shield!" Odd exclaims, putting his arms together. The shield is much larger in the real world, and it's a pinkish color instead of purple. The robots continue firing at us, but Odd's covering us.
"Jeremy, hurry up! The Robots are firing at us!" Aelita exclaims.
"I'm almost there. Hang on."
"We're trying! It's not that easy, you know!" I exclaim. I take my bow off its hook. I put an arrow on it, then pull the drawstring. Aelita summons an energy field, which is yellow, and chucks it. I let my arrow fly. Our attacks fly at the robots. The energy field is able to hit the robots, shocking them, then knocking some of them down. My arrow is able to hit the target eye of one robot, short circuiting it. It falls down.
Aelita goes to my side, and I get another arrow from my quiver.
"Laser Arrow!" Odd exclaims. He cocks his paw, then fires off several laser arrows. I shoot my arrow.
"Energy field!" Aelita exclaims, summoning her energy field again. Our attacks make their hits, causing a few more robots to fall down. Aelita turns her head, and so do I. The door is opened.
Finally! I think.
"Odd, Lila, let's go," Aelita says.
Aelita and I start running for the door. I put my bow back on its hook, Odd follows behind.
Hallway
Aelita puts her fingers on her comm. We're running down a very large hallway that leads up to yet another large door. The robots continue to chase us.
"Jeremy, this is a nightmare!" Aelita exclaims.
"Try to go to the supercomputer room. I'll see what the others are up to."
"This way!" Odd points, to the right path, taking Aelita's arm. Aelita takes my hand, we start running in that direction.
POV William's
Sissi charges her emeralds while riding her Overbike, then lets go of the front sides. Her emeralds continue to glow green. Yumi takes her Tessen Fan out and throws it.
"Wind!" Sissi exclaims. Two blasts of wind fly out of her hands and shoot the Manta. The Manta screeches and derails, causing Yumi to miss. I tilt my weight more, heading toward the Manta. I take my double edged sword out of its sheath.
"William, wait!" Yumi exclaims. The Manta fixes itself, and Yumi's Tessen Fan returns to her. I tilt my weight even more, then reach the Manta. I jump off my Overdrive, and pull my double edged sword back. I plunge my weapon into the target eye. Light starts shining within, and I use my fire powers to fly back to my Overdrive. The Manta explodes.
Suddenly, we see the Kolossus coming out of the digital sea. It seems Ulrich managed to beat Mia's Manta earlier.
"That's it, the Kolossus. That's why Xana was drawing the energy from all of the replikas."
Looking at the Kolossus, I gulp.
Now he might just be able to help me get over my fear of spiders, I think. Looking at one of his shoulders, I see Mia is standing on him proudly.
In the hallway
POV Lila's
We get down the end of the hallway, which branches off again. A laser hits the wall.
"That way!" Odd exclaims.
We start heading for the side that has steps, that leads to a small door. We soon reach the end of the steps, and now the robots are marching in.
"Hurry, Einstein, open up the door," Odd tells him.
"Hang on. I've got an emergency on the replika."
The Robots raise their arms, ready to fire. This is feeling too familiar. Odd summons his shield ability again.
"Shield!" Odd exclaims.
The Robots start firing at us again but Odd is protecting us. There are fewer in number, but still this is a problem.
POV William's
Sissi, Yumi, and I continue flying towards the Kolossus. We see Ulrich super sprinting from the ground, then jumping high in the air. He manages to climb on top of one of the arms. The Kolossus starts walking, towards the ice, trying to get out of the digital sea. We soon make our way over to it, and hover in the air.
"I've got you now!" Yumi exclaims. Yumi takes her Tessen Fan out. She opens it.
"Hi ya!" she exclaims. She throws it at the main target eye of the Kolossus's face. The Tessen Fan slices the target eye, causing it to burst into the yellow dust.
"Huh?" Yumi asks. We fly over to Ulrich, to see why it didn't work.
"You're not going to bring him down that way!" Ulrich exclaims.
"I don't get it, I was right on target. He should have been destroyed," Yumi says.
Ulrich points behind him, still trying to balance himself.
"No, I saw another target on his arm. It's not going to be easy getting rid of him."
"Yumi and I will take care of that one!" Sissi exclaims.
I fly my Overdrive to where Ulrich, jump off the vehicle, and land on the Kolossus's arm.
"Go, Ulrich and I will take care of the main one once you two are done," I tell them. Yumi and Sissi nod. They take off. I balance myself just as Ulrich does.
"Concentrate your efforts on Mia. I'm going to give you a hand with the Kolossus, okay?"
"What?" I ask, shocked.
"How are you going to do that?" Ulrich asks. The Kolossus continues walking to try and get out of the digital sea.
"I'm going to launch the Multi agent program."
"Right, let's go," Ulrich says. He takes his katana blade out and starts climbing up the arm, so I follow him. We continue climbing up, then see part of the magma. We do a roll, then get near his shoulder.
"Will it destroy him?" Ulrich asks.
"No, the program isn't finished. But it might immobilize him long enough for you two to devirtualize Mia."
The digital sea starts looking like a big erasure. But rather than erasing anything, it fixes itself onto the Kolossus's position, then turns into ice, surrounding the Kolossus and trapping it. The Kolossus uses his regular hand to make a fist and slams it on the ice. The ice cracks but then reforms. He's totally trapped!
"No!" Mia shouts.
The Kolossus growls too.
"Einstein, it looks like it's working!" I exclaim.
"Yeah, he doesn't seem to be getting anywhere," Ulrich says.
POV Lila's
"Odd, Aelita, Lila. I'm back to you now."
Odd continues protecting us with his shield,
"About time!" he exclaims.
That's for sure, I agree internally.
"Open sesame."
The door opens behind us. The robots continue firing their lasers at Odd.
"Come on, Odd, hurry," Aelita says.
"Go, I'll hold them off. Get Mia home," Odd says.
Aelita and I look at Odd. We nod and start running,.
In the supercomputer room
Now that we're in the supercomputer room, we're that much closer to getting Mia back.
"Aelita, Lila. There's a terminal next door."
Seeing that area, Aelita and I head over to it.
"Alright, Jeremy, Lila and I are there."
"Okay, now listen up. I'm going to dictate the program. Lila, keep on watch for any more robots."
"Right," I nod.
Aelita goes to run down the steps and over to a terminal, while I stand by.
"Enter it word for word, and it'll be just fine," Jeremy says, trying to reassure us.
"I'm ready Jeremy, go ahead," Aelita says. I look at her sitting at the terminal, ready to type.
You can do this, mom, I think. I then look at the door and pull my bow off its hook. Getting ready, just in case.
POV William's
Ulrich and I continue making our way up the Kolossus's arm. We leap lightly over more magma, then we land next to each other, our weapons out.
"It's just us now, Mia," Ulrich says.
"This time kiddo, we've got you," I say.
Mia grunts. She uses her black smoke ability to summon her whip. Mia jumps and cracks her whip at me. I'm not able to move anywhere quickly enough to dodge it, so I'm hit. I'm paralyzed by black energy. Mia wraps the whip around me.
"William!" Ulrich exclaims. He's about to use his katana blades to cut me free, but Mia throws me off the Kolossus. I'm unable to concentrate, and start falling. I yell on my way down.
POV Sissi's
Seeing William falling, Yumi takes out both of her Tessen Fans. She opens them and then throws them at our falling friend. The Tessen Fans slice William, cutting through him. He devirtualizes in a cloud of pixels in mid air. I sigh in relief.
"Close one," I say.
Yumi's Tessen Fans return to her, she closes them, then puts them away. She looks at me.
"Ulrich, Yumi, Sissi. When I give you the signal, devirtualize Mia."
I get my boomerang out of its holder.
"Okay!" Ulrich exclaims. He goes to strike Mia with one twin katana blade. Mia uses her arm to block the attack.
Yumi and I continue hovering around in the air. We see The Kolossus is somehow breaking through Jeremy's multi agent system.
"Jeremy, the Kolossus is breaking free!" Yumi exclaims, holding her hands on the Overwing's handle.
"I know, the multi agent system doesn't have enough power," Jeremy says.
"That s-" I start to say, but I'm interrupted.
Yumi and I aren't paying attention while we're driving, so we're hit by the sword arm of the Kolossus.
Inside the scanner room
The scanners doors open, smoking releasing into the room like it usually does from a rough virtualization. Yumi and I groan.
"Oh, that hurt," she says.
"You're telling me..." I agree, from my scanner, sliding down a bit.
"Now you know how I feel," William says.
"Yeah… that's for sure," I say.
Inside the terminal room
POV Lila's
The door opens up revealing more robots. I quickly channel my ice powers to the soles of my feet, my snowflake amulet glows. I jump back off the steps, and land on the ice. I take out two arrows and put them on the bow, pull my drawstring back, then release. The arrows fly at the robots. One arrow hits the target eye of the robot in front, knocking it down. The other arrow hits the one behind it, the robot falls down. The robots raise their arms and fire their lasers at me. The lasers hit me, and I shout.
"Lila!" I hear Aelita exclaim, before I disappear.
Inside the scanner room
POV William's
Ulrich's here now… it's all over. I really wanted Mia back. I make a realization.
Odd's still there! I think.
Jeremy gasps, then exclaims:
"Yeah!"
We watch eagerly, the middle scanner's door is opening, smoke releasing from within. Yumi is on the ground with Ulrich, who had a rough devirtualization, too. We see a figure stepping out, and once the smoke is cleared, we see it's really Mia. She coughs a bit. We look at her and she smiles.
"Mia!" Sissi and I exclaim. We run over to her as she walks, a bit unbalanced, over to us. We reach her, then all of us give her a group hug.
"I can't believe it," Ulrich says.
"You're home!" Yumi exclaims happily. Lila and Aelita are going to be really happy that Mia is back. Judging from Sissi's expression, she's really happy to have her friend and roommate back.
Inside the Nav Skid
POV Lila's
I wake up, from the glass window of the Nav Skid, I can see the lower half of the Kolossus heading right for us!
Not good! I think.
"Aelita, Lila, get out of there fast!" Jeremy exclaims.
The Kolossus pulls its sword arm back and strikes the Skid. Aelita and I gasp.
No, not like this! I think.
The Skid's controls start short circuiting.
The Skid is forced to disembark from the tower. It falls onto the ice, and skids across it. I'm thrown against the wall since I didn't get to strap myself in. I yelp. The Skid is on fire, then we reach the edge of the ice. I see one of the NavSkids falling into the digital sea, and the rest of it isn't far behind.
"Aelita, Lila! No!" Jeremy exclaims. Aelita and I scream.
"Jeremy, if this it… tell Mary I love-" I start to say, but then-
Inside the scanner room
POV Lila's
The scanners doors open. My eyes are closed, scared of what just happened. Or rather... nearly just happened.
"It's okay, Jeremy, Aelita and Lila are here with us," Yumi informs.
"Aelita, Lila. I was never so scared for my life."
"Lucky for us, we were devirtualized just before the Skid was totally destroyed," Aelita explains.
"I didn't even realize I was being devirtualized..." I shudder.
"And what's more, we've saved Mia," Jeremy informs. Mia is on the ground, looking up at us and her father.
"So, the plan worked, right? I did a good job?" Mia asks. Our eyes widen.
She doesn't remember… then she has no idea how much time has passed, I think. But given what she told me about her father's paranoia a while back… she'll remember. One day, I think.
We look at her, not too sure what to say.

Inside the scanner room
Odd is the last one back in the scanner room, we're about to head on up and go over to Mary's house to tell her the good news. It's still hard to believe what Mia just told us earlier… she really doesn't remember. It's too bad we lost the Skid, though. Hopefully we won't be needing it any time soon.
We start walking over to the freight elevator. Suddenly, one of the scanners' doors closes and starts humming loudly for some reason. We turn to see what's happening. Jeremy decides to climb down the ladder to see, as well.
"What's going on?!" Odd exclaims.
We gather around in a defensive stance. Mia just got back, and now we might have to fight.
"I'm not sure, we have to be ready for anything!" Jeremy exclaims, fixing his glasses to the bridge of his nose.
The scanner is still humming loudly, it seems to be having trouble materializing whatever's inside. The humming gets louder.
"Maybe whatever is inside won't show up!" Sissi surmises.
"Yeah, the scanner doesn't look like it'll pull through," William says.
"I don't think so," Yumi agrees.
"Look at that!" Ulrich points to the scanners' doors.
"Be ready you guys!" I exclaim. The humming stops and the scanner door opens. A lot of smoke comes out the scanner, more so than usually does when a rough devirtualization occurs. The smoke fills the room, and we start coughing.
"Can anyone see anything?" Aelita calls out, catching her breath.
"Not me!" Mia exclaims. I can barely see the silhouette of a person.
"I see a person," I confirm, catching my own breath. I start walking towards this person. With the smoke starting to clear up, I see the person a bit better. I can tell they're a girl.
The girl remains silent, with the smoke clearing up entirely, my eyes widen at the sight of who it is. She smiles, seeing me, and speaks up.
"Lila, Jeremy," she says. The others gasp, hearing her voice. Her hair color seems to have changed to a dyed black color for some reason, but looking right at her… I can see her as clear as day. It's truly her… it's… Future Aelita. Xana was right all along… she's alive. Future Aelita... she's come back to us at last...
