ATM: The Bonehead and the Brain – The Boy is Mine
Now that Seth knows the whole Truth about Sasha and Roman, the Shield have a very difficult decision to make. With the New Year just around the corner, DX do everything they can to stop things from getting out of control.
Chapter Sixteen – No Clue
Sasha Rollins paced around the Ortons' pool while her husband Seth Rollins swam around trying to cure himself of the thought of Roman and Galina doing it in the kitchen. As happy as he was for them both, it was too much for him to take and he decided a bit of distance would go a long way for the happily reconciled married couple.
While the Reigns household was back in the pink, Amy "Lita" Michaels was more interested in the Rollins household and she came out to the pool to speak with them both. After Hunter's heated conversation with the young couple, Amy thought it was best she make sure they were both okay. Hunter could be brutal when he was angry and as far as she was concerned, they didn't deserve to bear the brunt of his anger about what happened in New York.
"You know your husband's right; there's so much more to what Hunter said. Whatever's bothering him happened pretty quickly, you and Seth just got caught in the crossfire," Amy explained but Sasha wasn't feeling very compassionate.
"I'm sorry Amy if I don't feel sorry for the man who called me a "blue-haired witch"," Sasha said and Amy gave her a wise smile and gently touched her on the shoulder.
"He's called me a lot worse and yet here I am, happily married to the man of my dreams. Just like you are Sasha, the Game can run his mouth but he can't run you out of the wrestling business," Amy said.
"Well I don't want to be in the wrestling business anymore, not if I'm going to be disrespected by one of the most important people in it. The way he talked about me to Seth, it was like he had no respect for everything I've done in this business. All I am, is just a skirt that Roman recommended for Seth to pull up because he liked what was underneath it. I need Hunter to be in my corner and clearly, he isn't. So screw him Amy, I'm done," Sasha said and Lita frowned at the Boss.
"What do you mean you're done?" she asked confused.
"I'm not coming back next year, I'm done. DX can find another blue-haired witch to replace me, I'm sure there's plenty of hot talent in NXT that would be happy to dye their hair blue and pretend to be me," Sasha said.
"You're not going anywhere Sasha, Hunter's not mad at you or Seth, he's mad about something else. He's been in a bad mood ever since we left Connecticut on Tuesday. What he said was just a bunch of hot air, trust me, it has no Truth to it whatsoever. He'll apologise to you both before the end of the year, I promise," Amy said.
"I don't want his apology I want his support. I'm having Roman Reigns' baby, the last thing I needed from him was a reason to quit and that's exactly what he gave me. He thinks I'm running game, that I'm using Seth and Roman to stay relevant, like I would ever sink so low," Sasha said.
"I know people who have sunk lower," Amy said, "all of that trash talk was coming from a very real place. Hunter was accused of doing that to keep his job when he married Stephanie. It was all the locker room would talk about, that he married the boss' daughter to stay relevant but that wasn't the Truth at all. Now Hunter's accusing you of doing the same thing, its just the nature of our business. We live in a violent and competitive world where love doesn't exist and when it does show up, there just has to be an ulterior motive behind it. Hunter knows you guys but with everything that's going on with Stephanie and NXT, he's a little sensitive about the main roster. If Stephanie takes over NXT, there won't be a main roster anymore and everyone that's on it could lose their jobs. I just don't think he trusts anyone right now, besides me and my husband of course. You and Seth are locker room leaders and veterans of our business, Hunter's rant was his Bonehead way of keeping you on his radar,"
"Does Shawn feel the same way about me?" Sasha said and Amy smiled at the Boss.
"Shawn's heartbroken; he really wanted you and Seth to have a baby together. Now, that might not be possible, but we trust God and even when it doesn't look like it, He is always in control," Amy said and Sasha's face dropped.
"What do you mean by that? Seth and I can have a baby if we want to," Sasha said.
"The key word there being "if"; children are a gift from the Lord and they are not given to everyone. This baby might be the only one you have Sasha, so you better take good care of him," Amy said and Sasha covered her face in shock. She turned to Seth who hadn't heard a word; he was too busy swimming the kitchen sex visuals away. He feared he would never look at a refrigerator the same way again.
"Seth get out of the pool and stop thinking about Roman and Galina having sex in the kitchen," Sasha instructed her husband.
"I'm trying but it's so hard," Seth called back wincing the mental pain away.
"Amy said we're not going to have a baby together," Sasha said.
"I did not say that," Amy said as Seth pulled himself onto the poolside.
"What are you talking about babe? We can have a thousand kids if we want to," Seth said squeezing the water from his hair.
"All I'm saying is don't get ahead of the Lord. Just because you want to have a baby with Seth, doesn't mean that God wants that to happen," Amy said. "This baby might be the only one you get,"
Seth shrugged, "Okay, so I'll adopt him. He'll be my son by law," Seth said and Amy smiled at his positive attitude. Seth was always seeing the best in the bad and it was encouraging to the Anointed One.
"No, I want to have your baby babe. God can't be that cruel, can He?" Sasha panicked.
"Well, God might think you're the cruel one. After all, you did have sex with a married man. You were the one who messed with someone else's spouse, doesn't that make you cruel?" Amy said.
"Yeah but, I didn't mean to hurt anyone. I just wanted Roman to feel better about himself. He was in a really bad place, sex just seemed like the best thing for us to do together," Sasha said and Seth shuddered at the thought of Roman sleeping with his wife. "And no babe, we did not do it in the kitchen," she told Seth knowing what he was thinking and Seth breathed a sigh of relative relief.
"That doesn't make it right, I mean, look at what's happened since you slept with him? Now you can't tell the fans that you're having Seth's baby without feeling like a complete and total fraud. There's no way DX are going to let the Truth about your baby's father come out, so you have to pretend that your child is Seth's baby. Having another one won't change that," Amy said.
"Pretend?" Sasha said and Seth gave her a serious look. "Aren't we going to tell our fans the Truth?"
"You think Hunter's going to allow that? Is you insane?!" Seth replied incredulous. "I'll probably get away unscathed but you'll be eaten alive, the fans will think you tried to break up Roman's marriage, they'll call you the blue-haired b, I can totally see that trending,"
"But that's not True Seth, this was not intentional. This baby was not supposed to be Roman's, it was supposed to be yours. Damn it, why didn't your sperm swim faster?" Sasha said and Seth chuckled.
"I don't think that's how pregnancy works, plus I'm pretty sure my sperm could out swim Roman's sperm any day of the week. Don't put this on me babe, you shouldn't have slept with him, end of story. Amy's right, it's not God's fault if you don't get another baby. This is on you, now you can either deal with the consequences of your actions, or you can be mature about it and we can raise Roman's son as our own. I'm excited about raising a half-Samoan, half-black, half-white whatever you are kid," Seth said excitedly.
"I don't think you can have three halves babe, he'll be a third Samoan, a third black and a third white. I'm having a tri-racial baby, let's just leave it at that," Sasha said and Seth beamed knowing his kid was going to be a knockout no matter how many races he was made up of.
"Seth, I really respect your loyalty to Sasha and Roman but I have to give you a little heads up about the baby," Amy said gently. "When the baby's born, it will look exactly like Roman Reigns. The baby will look nothing like you. When you see the lil' Big Dog, you might not be so keen to adopt him, or even have his picture taken. In fact, you might resent him completely because he'll always remind you of Roman and Sasha's affair,"
Seth nodded and Sasha panicked as it was clearly upsetting Seth to hear what Amy said. It was bad enough that she was having Roman's child, now the child wasn't even going to look like Seth, they couldn't pretend they were the child's parents even if they wanted to.
"We have got to come clean. I don't want you to feel like an impostor. So what if the fans trash me? I'm a big girl, I can take it," Sasha said.
"Can you take it?" Seth replied soberly. "You can barely get through a loss in the ring without crying, do you think you can handle the entire wrestling world turning against you?"
"Yes I can, I will if it will make us stronger as a couple. I don't want to be the reason you cry in the closet, I can't cause you anymore pain Seth. I don't want to hurt you anymore," Sasha said. "So what if I get trashed? At least you won't have to pretend you're the baby's father,"
"But I will be the baby's father, after I adopt him. All I have to do is clear it with Roman, I'm sure he'll be cool with me legally adopting his son," Seth said and Amy grimaced at Seth's optimism.
"You two are making a lot of assumptions about Roman right now. I told you, when the baby is born it will look just like him; what if he doesn't want you to adopt his son Seth? Are you going to fight him on that?" Amy asked.
"I just want what's best for everyone," Seth said and Amy touched him on the hand gently while Sasha gripped him by the shoulders.
"What about what's best for you babe?" she asked him and Seth sighed. It was clear to Sasha, as she looked into her husband's emotional face, that Seth didn't know what was best for him anymore. But she did, she had a plan and she was going to put that plan together as soon as she got back to LA.
Sasha kissed him on the lips and apologised profusely for complicating their lives and Amy looked at the young couple and thanked God for Bianca Belair; the E S T of the WWE was a God send and as long as Seth continued to listen to her, Amy didn't have to worry about Sasha making things even worse for her husband.
Meanwhile in the Ortons' living room, Shawn approached Hunter seeing that he was at least somewhat calmer now. Shawn would not talk to Hunter when he was mad but going off on Seth and Sasha Rollins was out of character for the DX founder.
"I know what's bothering you," Shawn said to Hunter and the Game looked up at his best friend.
"We're going to lose NXT Shawn," Hunter said. "We can't keep this out of the press. When this gets out, Stephanie's going to have a field day about how we're running the locker room. She's going to turn every NXT wrestler against us and make it sound like it was our fault all of this happened. Seth and Sasha don't understand how much trouble this is going to cause for us, especially when my ex-wife finds out,"
"Who says she has to find out?" said the freshly showered Bianca Belair.
"Can we help you? This is a private conversation," Hunter said as Bianca came over to him.
"If it involves Seth, I'm all ears. After all, I am his Treasurer of Secrets. I'm the reason all of this came out. I don't just reveal secrets though boss, I can also hide them. I can ask God to hide the Truth until after you fix this whole deal with NXT and Stephanie, as long as Seth's okay with it," Bianca said. "If that's all you're worried about, then you ain't got nuthin' to worry about,"
Shawn and Hunter smiled at Bianca Belair, "I like you," Hunter said. "Go get Rollins, we need to have another talk but this time, I'm going to be honest with him about why I'm so mad. Bring the Boss too; I owe that woman an apology,"
Bianca went to get the Rollins while Shawn hugged his best friend. He had a lot on his mind; the future of the company was in his hands and if Seth and Sasha saw things his way, maybe 2024 wouldn't be as bad as he was pretty sure it was going to be for everyone on the main roster.
