First Kiss
Boruto was confused- yesterday morning just seemed like a blank. He couldn't remember anything, but he did remember Hima asking Dad something. Dad had seemed to panic, but then the rest was a blank. Boruto shook his head- he had a mission to focus on.
When it was over, and they had finished, Sarada and Boruto headed home. Deep in thought, Boruto didn't notice Sarada calling his name until she snapped her fingers in front of his face.
"What has you so distracted?" she asked. Boruto shook his head. "I can't remember," he stated simply. "Yesterday Hima asked Dad something, but everything's a blank. It was some 'first', but that's all I remember."
Having said it out loud, something in Boruto's head stirred. "It was… something a couple does?" Sarada looked unconvinced, and rather confused.
"What."
"That's just what I remembered! It was a couple thing!" he exclaimed. Then he stopped. He noticed a couple behind Sarada. The girl giggled and lightly kissed her boyfriend.
"Oh! Oh oh oh! That was it! Himawari asked about Dad's first kiss! And then he used mind block jutsu to make us forget!" Boruto hollered. Then he broke into a huge grin. Sarada looked mildly interested. "Well, who was it?" she said.
Hmm, Boruto thought. I could tell her… or I could be super evil and make her ask Uncle Sasuke herself… and when would I pass up this opportunity?!
"Sarada, all I'm going to say is your dad was there when it happened. You have to ask him yourself," Boruto stated simply. Sarada made an annoyed face and started walking again. "Fine," she said.
When they got there, Sasuke greeted her at the entrance. They both went in, and Sakura called a greeting from the kitchen.
"Hey, Dad," Sarada began, "Boruto says he knows who Uncle Naruto's first kiss was, and he said you were there. I was wondering who it was?"
Sasuke, who's back had been turned to them, froze. Sakura came out of the kitchen, and spotting Sasuke, burst into laughter. "Go ahead, honey, tell them!" she said between laughs.
Sasuke grunted, and turned. An very obvious tickmark on his forehead went unnoticed by the two teens. "Well?" Boruto asked impatiently, forcing the laughter from his throat.
"It was an accident. Naruto accidentally kissed me," Sasuke muttered gruffly.
Sarada's jaw hit the floor. Boruto and Sakura again broke into heavy fits of laughter. "He was also your mother's first kiss," Sasuke added, directing it toward Boruto. "What the heck," Boruto wheezed, wiping tears from his eyes, "did he just go around kissing people?!"
Sasuke chuckled, replying, "Nope. He just has the worst social luck."
"How did it even happen?!" Sarada burst, having broken from her trance.
"That, is a good question, unlike Boruto's over there," Sasuke said. "But let's just say we wouldn't admit the relationship we have today."
Sarada had recovered and was now giggling to herself. "This has to go up everywhere," Boruto gasped. "Yes! The public must know about it!"
"No," Sarada said firmly, "Let's keep it to ourselves." Then she smirked and added quietly, "So that we can use it against them." Boruto's eye lit up, and he nodded excitedly. "Thanks, Uncle Sasuke!" he called, before he and Sarada marched out the door.
Sasuke side-glanced at Sakura and raised an eyebrow. Even without his Renegan, Sasuke saw certain doom in his future.
Meanwhile, Naruto was napping on his Hokage desk when a chill went up his spine, startling him awake. "That never means anything good," he murmured to himself. "Sakura might be coming… AGH! I need to pretend that I'm working!"
She never came, but the feeling lingered. Naruto knew, in his gut, that Kurama sensed something was wrong. Kurama told him that it wasn't an immediate or life-threatening danger, so Naruto got back to work. He couldn't help but feel like his doom was upon him though…
