Chapter Twenty Two – Becky Beats Bayley
There was only one day to go before New Year's Eve and Seth and Sasha were soaring over the sky carried by the Holy Spirit which was able to transcend space and time, taking the married couple all over the world in a matter of seconds.
Shawl transported Seth and Sasha to Africa, Australia, the UAE and the United Kingdom, showing them landmark buildings and incredible islands with clouds just over their shoulders. It was the most romantic thing Seth could have done for his wife and Sasha didn't want it to end. Being in the skies with Seth reminded her why she loved him so much. He was different from any other man she'd been with, he was special and he could do incredible things that no other man could do, like whisp her around the world on a flying prayer shawl. It wasn't just his Gift from God that she loved though, she loved how loyal he was to her and to his friends. He cared about people so much and always put people first. He was not willing to let her go, even though she thought it would be best that they spend the next few months apart, she knew now that he wasn't going to let that happen. Sasha didn't feel less than a princess when they were together and as they flew over the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, she knew she wasn't going to LA without her loving husband by her side like she had planned.
"This is just like Aladdin," Sasha said as they hovered over the skies of Jedda. Seth wrapped his arms around her waist and leaned on her as she rested on his shoulder, her belly filled with love and fruity pregnancy snacks. "All that's missing is Asa the Tiger and Apu the Monkey,"
Seth chuckled while rubbing Sasha shoulders to keep her warm; it was better than a Disney classic to him, this was his real life and it didn't have any end credits. This was how he always wanted his life with Sasha to be; an adventure full of crazy supernatural moments that no normal person would be able to explain unless they believed in Jesus Christ like he did. Only Jesus had the ability to transcend time and space and the King of Kings had given him the liberty of doing just like that so he and his wife could have a romantic time together before the New Year. Seth wanted to go into 2024 right and in order for that to happen, his marriage to Sasha had to be strong and he wasn't going to let the mistakes she made in the past ruin that. He was going to do whatever it took to make sure his marriage stayed intact and that they stayed together for the rest of their lives.
Sasha laid back on Seth and took a deep breath, letting the whole experience flow into her and she was at peace.
"I don't want to leave, I want to stay right here with you forever," Sasha said caressing Seth's hands and Seth smiled at her and kissed her forehead. They stayed airborne taking in the view from above.
Eventually they lost track of time and as the afternoon drew into evening, things were about to take a dark and violent turn, not for them, but for the Black Hearted One who was about to be the recipient of the Code Black Seth gave to Becky Lynch.
Brooklyn, New York City, New York
Bayley made arrangements to see Stephanie before she met with Hunter to show him the photo of Seth and Bayley in the Stamford Marriott, that they made to look like Seth was assaulting Bayley. She had just had her hair and nails done convinced that Seth was going to give into their demands and join Stephanie in her quest to take over NXT. She wanted to look good for Seth going into the New Year. Bayley didn't know what had happened in Manhattan, all she knew was that today was the day she got what she wanted. Finally her prayer to have Seth fall in love with her would be answered.
As she left the salon and headed for the subway, she found herself being redirected by the strong mechanical arm of Becky Lynch, who was wearing a beanie dressed completely in black.
"Becky, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in Orlando with the rest of NXT?" Bayley asked Becky as the former Women's Champion took Bayley to her pick-up truck.
Bayley got in not thinking anything of it.
Cairo, Egypt
Seth and Sasha floated over from Saudi Arabia to Egypt. Seth took Sasha down towards where wild horses were running through the desert so she could have a better look at the glory of white mustangs. Seth was intrigued at the horses; he'd expected to see camels rather than horses but judging from the smile on Sasha's face he knew exactly what he was getting her for her birthday. Her birthday was one month away and it was on the same day as the Royal Rumble.
They needed a home first and God still hadn't shown Seth the house that he wanted them to live in. Wherever it was it was certainly going to be big enough for horses, nothing else would do for Seth's Boss.
As they flew across the winterly blue sky of Cairo, Sasha noticed some kind of conflict going on just beneath them. She tapped Seth on his relaxed hand and pointed to where men were shooting at each other and women and children were screaming with fear. Seth saw the conflict and pulled a soft blanket over his wife and tucked her behind him so she was out of sight. He didn't want any of the men to see her blue hair and get distracted.
"Shawl stay airborne, I'm going to see what's going on," he told his Prayer Shawl and he kissed Sasha on the cheek. "I'll be right back baby, I'm going to take a closer look,"
"Be careful Seth," Sasha said squeezing his hand lovingly and after he kissed her hand assuring her that he would, he jumped off of Shawl and onto the sand where two militias were fighting each other. The minute his feet touched the ground, the men stopped fighting, dropping their weapons they turned to Seth screaming in fear. They ran away and the women and children came out of hiding wondering what had happened.
"Its okay don't worry, you're safe now," Seth told them and they rejoiced and their sudden safety. Seth could see two figures coming over to him from among the women and children, it was the King and Queen of Egypt, Melina and John Perez Hennigan, the former members of WWE's MNM tag team. They were dressed in their royal apparel, looking every bit the King and Queen that they were. They had been ministering to the women and children while the two militia groups were fighting. When Melina saw Seth her face brightened.
"The missing piece of the puzzle has arrived. Do you know how long we've been trying to quell this uprising Seth? And you show up in one second and despatch the military factions in an instant. God is surely with you, now our job is going to be so much easier when we go before the government to declare another victory over terrorism in Egypt," Queen Melina said and Seth furrowed his brow.
"Huh?" he said perplexed.
"Nevermind her Seth, she's still on the clock. It's good to see you Seth. Where's Sasha?" John Hennigan aka John Morrison asked him.
"Safe from harm on my prayer shawl. What was all that fighting about?" Seth asked King Johnny.
"It's very political. We could sure use your negotiation skills the next time there's an uprising," Queen Melina said and Seth shook his head.
"Sorry Queen Melina, I'm here on a date with my wife. I just wanted to see what all the fighting was about, it was throwing off our romance. Sasha and I were having a great time until we saw all those men shooting at each other and scaring all those women and children," Seth said.
"Isn't that the samething you're doing with Bayley? I'm sure that Code Black you ordered is going to scare the living daylights out of her," Queen Melina said. "I can't believe you ordered a Code Black Seth, what were you thinking?"
Seth shrugged, "I was thinking this woman has no remorse and she needs to be stopped. We have a rule in the locker room, don't mess with the talent. Bayley has been messing with me and Sasha the entire year, now she's framing me for assault. I had to do something to show that her behaviour is unacceptable. That's why I called for the Code Black. It's the only way to bring her back in line. There's a time for violence Queen Melina and Bayley's time has come. If I know Becky, she'll do a good job," Seth replied with zero sympathy for Bayley and that worried the King and Queen of Egypt.
"You might still be part of the locker room Seth but you are also a part of God's Kingdom and the minute you resort to violence as a way to solve your problems, you forfeit your power as a Prayer Warrior. Seth, there's nothing that prayer can't change. Violence is just a temporary solution. In the end it will only make Bayley want you more," Queen Melina explained and Seth's mouth dropped in shock.
"How could she want me more?! I would think she'd want nothing to do with me after the Code Black I ordered?" Seth said and the King and Queen shook their head that he was wrong.
"No Seth, read your Bible, it will bless you," King Johnny said. "In the Song of Solomon, the King of Israel says that "love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame." There is no pain too great or victory too small to stop Bayley from loving you. Getting her butt kicked by one of the greatest female fighters of all time is not going to change that,"
Seth fell to his knees and cried out in despair, "Why Lord, why does she love me so much?!" he asked God and Melina and Johnny crouched down in their royal apparel right next to him, they put their hands on his head and prayed for him. It was clear to the young monarchs that Bayley was really doing a number on the Prayer Warrior and he needed their angelic assistance to get through all the drama she was creating.
Awhile later Seth and Sasha were back at the royal palace in Cairo for the second time that year. The King and Queen of Egypt took the liberty of entertaining them before they headed back to the States for New Year's. While they were there, Melina prayed for Seth to be strong and not to lash out at Bayley but to suffer her until she finally accepted that they could not be together. Though no-one seemed to know when that was, Melina wanted to make sure that Seth didn't lose his anointing trying to handle Bayley the wrong way. Getting Becky Lynch involved was a step in the wrong direction but there was nothing they could do about that now; the Code Black could not be withdrawn.
King Johnny prayed a special blessing over Sasha and her unborn son, asking God to keep her joyful in the last stages of her pregnancy, which God assured her would be smooth and uncomplicated. Sasha's pregnancy would be the opposite of her life, which Sasha appreciated very much.
The King and Queen prayed over Seth and Sasha's marriage and asked the Lord to endow them with fidelity, so they would draw closer to each other as times got hard instead of separating from each other when times got hard. After they had been prayed for Seth and Sasha felt ten times better and they were ready to face the future together with no anxiety about what tomorrow would bring.
It was then that God decided to show Seth the place He had chosen for Seth and Sasha to live.
He took Sasha and left Cairo on his Prayer Shawl and went to the place God showed him he was going to live with his family. He flew back to Saudi Arabia to the royal palace which was currently occupied by the reigning Prince.
"This is the place God wants us to live?" Sasha asked Seth who nodded.
"God said that there's going to be a war in the Middle East and the monarchy is going to flee from all the warfare. Melina and Johnny are going to act as ambassadors to the Middle East and recommend me to the Saudi family as their royal counsel. They're going to give me the palace in exchange for my counsel,"
Sasha gasped as she looked down at the spectacular royal palace, "So, this is our home?" she said and Seth nodded with a smile.
"That's right Boss, this is our new home," Seth said excitedly.
"This is way better than Rocky's place," Sasha said and she looked at Seth with love and admiration, "I can't believe you got me a palace!"
"The Bible says a man's gift shall make room for him and bring him before great men. Well my love, it doesn't get much greater than this," Seth said. "I can't wait to tell everyone when we get back to the States!"
Sasha frowned at Seth's decision to tell everyone, "Actually why don't we keep this to ourselves? I don't want anyone getting jealous, remember what King Johnny said about how dangerous jealousy is? I don't need anymore drama so close to having our baby,"
Seth teared up and he stroked Sasha face lovingly, "You said our baby, so you're onboard with me raising this baby with you,"
Sasha nodded, "This might be our only child, I couldn't think of a better parent for Roman Dean Graves than you Seth," she replied sincerely.
Seth hugged and kissed Sasha for awhile before he resumed talking to her, "Okay, we'll keep this to ourselves, at least until the baby's born. Then we're going to throw the biggest baby shower of all time, right here in Saudi!"
"Again Seth, let's keep things a little low key. I don't think everyone's going to be happy for us, let's just tell a few people. The whole world doesn't need to know just how good we've got it," Sasha said and Seth pouted.
"But I want the whole world to know, I'm proud of what God's doing in our lives. Why would I want to pretend like our life isn't the live action version of Aladdin when it is?" Seth said and Sasha laughed joyfully.
"It is Aladdin! I've got a palace, all I need is a tiger called Asa and you need a pet monkey named Apu! I guess Bianca could be our Genie, but I don't think she could fit that awesome body in a tiny little lamp," Sasha said.
"And I don't think she'd want me rubbing her to get her to come out and grant me wishes," Seth said and the married couple laughed before heading back to Cairo to finish off the most romantic day of their young married lives so far.
Hudson River Greenway, New York City, New York
Becky Lynch pulled up near the gully of the Hudson and opened the trunk of her stolen pick-up truck. She pulled the bruised, battered and severely beaten body of Bayley out of the trunk and dragged it along the bank of the river. Bayley was coughing and heaving and spitting up blood on Becky's DM boots. She was still alive but just barely and Becky still had the blood from the brutal beat down on her right hand. She crouched down and pulled Bayley's head up, looking into her blackened eyes and fractured jaw.
"What the Hell did you do to deserve this?" Becky asked Bayley but all Bayley did was heave trying to stay conscious. Becky was about to let her go when somehow Bayley found the strength to talk, even though her lungs were filling up with blood.
"Have you ever loved someone so much that death seemed like a breeze compared to life without them?" Bayley asked Becky and the Man shook her head that she didn't.
"No, I've never felt that way about anyone. So is that how this all happened, you couldn't handle the fact that he married the Boss instead of you?" Becky asked.
Bayley coughed up more blood and held her chest, she was in excruciating pain but she still somehow managed to answer Becky's question.
"You'll never understand until it happens to you Bex. All this pain and suffering, I'd do it all again in a heartbeat. Nothing's going to stop me from fulfilling my destiny, we will be together. I'll never stop loving him, even if it kills me. I'll love him to the day I die," Bayley said and Becky shook her head in contempt.
She dropped Bayley's bruised head and then she gave her a swift and mighty punt kick to the skull, knocking Bayley unconscious and destroying her face.
"Well that might be today," Becky replied. "you're pathetic Bayley and now you're finally you're out of your misery,"
She took a selfie of herself with Bayley's unconscious body at the Hudson River and recorded a message before sending it to Seth with the tagline, "You're welcome."
Becky got in her stolen pick-up truck and headed to the airport shaking her head the whole way. Bayley was the saddest thing she'd ever seen and as far as she was concerned, she deserved what she got. While she drove, a part of Becky couldn't help but feel sorry for the former NXT Champion. Was love really that strong, that it could drive a person to the brink of insanity? The Man wondered.
"I sure hope I never fall in love," Becky said and she wiped Bayley's blood from her face with the sleeve of her leather jacket and turned on the radio to drown out the sound of Bayley's whimpering voice that was now running through her head on an endless loop.
