Awake Alice

This chronically takes place at the end of Season 7 episode 4 "Beauty". This is a "What if" an Awake Gold convinces Tilly NOT to take her pill and she fully regains her memories as Alice.
Might be One-shot or more. Not sure yet but I really wanted this idea put out there.
Once Upon a Time has LEFT Netflix already (September 6, 2020)! But will be added to Disney + September 18! This already happened by the time I post this lol!

Chapter 1 Tilly stops taking pills
Weaver eyes started to flutter as an imagine of a beautiful Brown-Haired woman that was so so familiar to him appeared in front of him. The woman had a smile full of understanding and love that made his own heart which was only ever full of self interest ache and throb.
'Belle…' Weaver thought as his memories of Rumplestiltskin and Mr. Gold flooded back to him clearing up the mist that was clouding his true self.
"You are one lucky bastard you know that?" Detective Rogers said with a smile as Gold AN2: opened his eyes to see him in a hospital bed with several monitors attached to him.
"What happened?" Gold grumbled as he saw Rogers hold onto a Ziplock bag with some concern and amusement on his face.
"Well this little lucky bullet went straight through you and somehow you didn't die." Rogers commented holding up the bag to reveal a single bullet.
"Must be bloody immortal or something." Rogers joked as Gold eyes snapped open.
"What did you say?" Gold asked critically wondering if Rogers or 'Hook' knew how close he came to the truth.
Rogers raised an eyebrow wondering why his partner took that one comment so seriously. "It was a joke." Rogers clarified as Gold grunted.
"Now about that girl Tilly…" Rogers said awkwardly as Gold gave him an emotionless stare.
"What about Tilly? I was shot by a Robber a mask as part of a prank or something. He ran off before the ambulance came." Gold stated flatly as he gave a look to Rogers daring him to contradict him.
"Right. I will make sure the report is updated." Rogers said with a small smile as he nodded before he looked out the door where a distraught Tilly was waiting holding onto her knees in shock and despair.
'Alice…' Gold thought fondly as he glanced out the door to see the memory impaired version of a woman he more or less self proclaimed as his daughter although neither of them had ever said it out loud.
"Please bring Tilly in for me." Gold asked politely as Rogers raised an eyebrow at is partner notable change in tone.
"Alright. Try to be kind to her. She is rather distraught and confused." Roger told him sternly before looking confused on why he cared so much before he walked out the room to grab Tilly.
'It seems our dear Captain feelings for his daughter cannot be truly overwritten even with a Dark Curse.' Gold mused seeing hints of Rogers feelings for Tilly pop up here and then even though his memories told him she was a stranger at best.
A minute later Tilly along with Rogers came back Gold's room. Tilly looked close to tears while Rogers gave her an encouraging smile before patting her on the shoulder.
"I will leave you two alone. Call if you need anything." Rogers said kindly nodding to them both before walking out and closing the door behind him.
As soon as Rogers left Tilly came next to Gold with her hands on her face as tears threatened to burst out of her eyes.
"I am so sorry Weaver! I stopped taking my pills and all the sudden I was so different! I don't know what came over me! I can't believe I shot you!" Tilly started to blubber as Gold gave her a kind smile.
"Rest assured I promised I will never stop taking those pills again. I don't know what I was thinking trying to stop taking medicine that was best for me." Tilly promised as Gold eyes narrowed.
'Can't have that Dearie.' Gold thought sourly.
Gold gestured her to come closer as Tilly came right next to him with a questioning look. She was shocked when he grabbed her by the shoulder so her face was right next to her mouth.
"Don't take your pills anymore Tilly." Gold whispered right into her ear.
"What?" Tilly gasped with wide eyes as Gold gave her a serious look while holding onto her closely.
"You wish to make up what happened before?" Gold asked as Tilly nodded her head dumbly.
"Good then trust me and promise me you won't take those pills anymore. If you need to flush them down the river and destroy them. I don't care just do not swallow them anymore." Gold whispered with a cold expression.
Tilly looked scared making Gold eyes soften as he released her before patting her on the shoulder.
"Well I best by resting now. Remember to talk with Detective Rogers outside. He was rather worried about you." Gold said while giving her a meaningful look.
Tilly nodded as she saw what he said in that look 'Don't forget our talk and do not back out your promise.'.
Tilly soon had an arrangement with Rogers to play a single game of chest as they both smiled at each other with him holding onto a Black Rook as he placed it next to Tilly's White Knight on the chest board.
Later that night while Gold was resting to his irritation he got a new visitor Victoria Belfry aka Lady Tremaine walked in with an annoyed expression.
"Hello Detective. It is nice you appear to be recovering rather well." Belfry said with snide tone as Gold gave her a polite smile.
"Yes. Now what is that Ms. Belfry needs with me?" Gold asked not wasting time on pleasantries.
"You let that poor disturbed girl go." Victoria commented with a frown.
"Well Tilly is back on her pills so I believe she is not quite the public menace anymore. So yeah I let her go." Gold retorted as Victoria sneered for a moment.
"Did you forget about our arrangement and those little tapes?" Victoria asked snidely as Gold gave her a frown.
"I fully remember but I remember something else. Something much bigger and important then what's on those tapes." Gold stated as Victoria eyes narrowed. "Dearie." Gold added smiling as Victoria eyes widened.
"What would that be?" Victoria asked masking her emotions.
"Something that you don't want people to find out. So, I would be careful what you choose to do next Victoria." Gold teased before a nasty smile appeared on his face.
"Because I realize that nothing you can do can hurt me anymore." Gold taunted as Victoria glared at him before schooling her expression once again.
A week later much to Gold annoyance he had to let his body heal 'naturally' he was released and soon went to Tilly's home in Hyperion Heights. A little box car with little more then the essentials.
As soon as he arrived Tilly opened the door with wide eyes as she shut the door the instant he walked through.
"What's happening to me?! I stopped taking those pills like you told me but I keep getting these flashes of someone who looks like me but in dress. She is living in forest or something and keeps looking at someone who looks like Detective Rogers but with a Hook on his hand!" Tilly babbled making Gold smile.
Gold held up a hand and with a grin he asked "What do you think about that…. Alice?"
As soon as Gold said Alice Tilly eyes widened as complete flashes of memories of her former life flooded in up to the point the black smoke of the Dark Curse enveloped her.
"Rumplestiltskin." Alice gasped as she returned to her former personality.
"Hello Alice. It been quite some time." Gold said warmly as Alice took his hands into her own and held them as they both smiled at each other.
"How?" Alice asked urgently as Gold smile grew bigger.
"Well that box inside of me that held 'Mr. Gold' opened as we arranged it would." Gold said as Alice nodded her head numbly now remembering their preparations before the Dark Curse hit the Enchanted Forest.
"But what about me? How come I remember everything now that I am not taking those awful pills?" Alice asked an annoyed expression as she glanced at the bottle of pills with a few pills empty which she happened to have slipped into the river.
Gold nodded releasing her grip on his hands as he pulled out a bottle out of his pocket making Alice narrow her eyes.
"Don't worry these are pills that look like the ones you are suppose to be taking but these ones are just full of sugar. We need to pretend nothing has changed so toss those pills out and replace them with these. Keep doing this anytime you have to get a refill." Gold told her sternly as Alice nodded.
She soon dumped the original pills onto the floor and then replaced the sugar pills into her prescription bottle. She then looked at Gold expectedly putting her hands on her hips in impatience.
"Very well. This is merely a theory on my part but I believe since you are a Guardian meant to hold my Dark One powers in check your power allowed you retain your memories. Those pills and the need for you take them as the Curse's way to fill in the gap and try to keep you asleep." Gold told her as Alice frowned before nodding.
Alice bit her lip before she started to pace. After a few minutes she glanced at Gold who looked at her expectantly.
"Wait! If we are all here in Hyperion Heights does that mean Rogers is…?" Alice gasped as Gold nodded at her.
"Yes. Without a doubt my partner is your father Captain Hook." Gold confirmed as Alice gasped.
"Papa…. He is here!" Alice said with pure happiness as she placed on heart remembering how much it hurt to have to watch from a distance as her most important person AN3: was forced to stay away from her.
"Wait! I have been near Rogers for abit and the curse!" Alice shouted realizing something was off.
Gold patted her on the shoulder as she looked up at him.
"We are in a Land Without Magic Alice. That Curse of the Poisoned Heart did not vanish when we got to this realm but is merely dormant as this land lacks the magic to activate it." Gold explains as Tilly starts tearing up.
"That means Papa and I can be together again!" Alice cheered before she became bitter.
"But he doesn't remember me, does he? To me I am simply a homeless girl not his daughter…" Alice said angrily as Gold looked at her sadly.
"I am afraid that's still the truth." Gold told her.
Alice glared at Gold who looks away.
"But why? You told Papa and me that White Elephant Statue would allow us to be a family even if we forgot our memories! But we as far apart as possible!" Alice shouted as Gold sighed.
"I can only guess our dear Captain gave the Statue away before the curse hit the Land meaning its effect did not affect you two." Gold mused as Alice looked rather hurt.
"You mean Papa chose to let someone else stay together but not us…." Alice said in realization as Gold sighed.
Gold then took Alice in his arms and gave her a warm hug as Alice cried in frustration.
After several minutes she hiccupped before she stepped back.
"So, who do you think he gave the statue to?" Alice asked bitterly as Gold thought for a moment.
"If I had to guess Cinderella or as she is known here Jacinda." Gold mused as Alice gave him a questioning look.
"How do you think Cinderella and Lucy are still a family if this curse is designed to tear us away from our loved ones?" Gold asked her as she nodded.
Alice then stamped her feet in frustration as she shouted "It's not fair! Back in our world we could not be together due his curse almost killing him! Now in a world without that curse we still can't be together as he doesn't remember me!"
In her rage she stepped on several on her pills as they could hear a crunchy noise every time a pill was crushed into powder.
Alice grew even more outraged as she glared at pills beneath her.
"And these stupid things! I hate them!" She spat out as she crossed her arms and flapped them in anger. To her shock this action made the pills fly into the air and then neatly fly themself into Gold's empty bottle. Even the pills that were powder quickly reassembled and then followed the other pills into the bottle before the bottle shut itself and landed back into Gold's hand.
"What was that?" Alice sputtered only to see Gold proud face smiling at her.
"That Dearie was magic and quite powerful one at that." Gold told her as she blinked several times.
"But we are a Land Without Magic! How can I be using it here?" Alice asked shocked as she stared at her hands.
"Alice. You are one the Guardians. Your power is untold and very powerful. It seems like you and others like you can use your magic even in this land. Not even I or the Saviour can use our powers outside places filled with magic like Storybrooke." Gold told her as an imagine of Emma Swan and he as Rumplestiltskin appeared in his mind. AN4:
Alice shook her head before she realized something in what he said.
"You keep saying 'a' Guardian. Does that mean someone else is a Guardian too?" She asked as Gold nodded sagely.
"Yes Guardian is a title. Just like there is more then one Saviour there is more then one Guardian and this other Guardian I hope is the one I can pass my powers to and meet Belle the correct one." Gold told her as Alice looked at sadly once again.
AN2: He is 'Gold' or 'Rumple' now that his 'awake'.
AN3: Just my personal opinion that she loves Robin but Hook might be most important.
AN4: Never explored on the show but Anastasia (presumably Because she is a Guardian) could use her powers in Hyperion Heights freely why not Alice who is also a Guardian? As Alice even almost took the Darkness out of Rumple and purified.
