The sun rose over the horizon casting its reddish glow in her eyes. With a slight moan she rolled over turning her back to the window, Rixxa's once golden hair turned strawberry was done up in a braid, despite the fact that she was a Light mage did not mean that she always woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed. As the sun climbed higher making the dawn's reddish glow slowly more yellow she finally decided that it was time to get up and go find the library. Dressing quickly in a simple light blue shirt and a pair of matching pants, she carefully tucked the vial of pixie dust she collected the day before safely in the hidden pocket of her purse.

Grabbing a quick bite from the kitchen she headed into town in search of the library. It took her about two hours before she not only found someone who could tell her where to find the library but to also arrive. It did not look like much from the outside, just a standard stone building with a wooden roof. The more she looked at the incident looking building that she was told only housed basic books on magic. She began to notice that all is not what it appeared.

'Interesting those are some strong wards for just basic books, it looks like I might have struck gold as the saying goes.' She thought as she pushed open the plain wooden door.

"Good morning ma'am how may I help you today?" The old keeper asked, pushing his spectacles up on his face when she entered the building.

"Yes I was wondering if you had any old spell books about legendary magic, or primordial magic?" Rixxa asked as he reached into her purse her hand on the dust. A shift in the keepers movement told her way more than his words.

"No my dear such books are only fairytales from times long forgotten I have no copies here." The keeper replied as he shifted his feet clearly hiding something.

'It appears I am not the first person to ask about these books. Well looks like I will have to do this the hard way.' She thought with a sigh.

"Thank you for the information. I'm sorry to have bother you with fairytales." She said with a polite wave she turned and left the building, instead of heading back to the inn she walked to the side window.

After a quick check of the wards to see just how strong they really were. she quickly poured a small amount of the dust into her hand and muttered a few words over it before blowing it on to the window. The instant it left her hand the runes that formed the wards lit up with a soft light temporarily disabling them allowing her to slip in un noticed.

Following the runes along the wall lit only to her, she found a false wall where the wards were strongest. Rixxa fished out the pixie dust once again to do the same thing she did to the window only to find that the wards had been changed at some point to allow someone who possessed either Light or Darkness magic to pass unnoticed. 'That's odd but I will have to think about that later my spell will only hold five more minutes' she thought as she pushed open the hollow wall. Inside the door was a small space just big enough for a book or two. To her surprise she found the space empty except for a glittering pile of dust.

"Pixie dust? What would pixie want with a book of magic?" She asked herself her doe colored eyes narrowed in thought, as felt the twinge of her magic telling her that her spell was going to fade soon and that she should leave or she would be caught. With that she closed the door left out the window she used. After she erased any trace of her presence she began her walk back to her room at the inn, lost in thought.

Two towns over

"Calli it's time to get up we have a job to do" Markus whispered in her ear causing the younger brunette to all but jump out of bed.

"I hate it when you do that and you know it." She replied as she lay on her back with her arm over her hazel eyes. She hated mornings but she hated people whispering in her ear when she is half asleep.

"Come on the sooner we leave the sooner we find our marks." Markus said as he finished the last of the packing smoothing down his sleep ruffled hair. Forty five minutes later they left the inn talking about where to look next.

"So last night you told me you would explain what you meant about the boy in the tower missing someone. Caill asked when they were far enough to from town.

"It was something that I had read in one of the books about Light and Dark magic. Those who possess such magic are born in pairs. Alway a set of twins, and before you ask it's not only one boy and one girl. Sometimes they are identical, but always two. So after we met the boy in the tower and I saw what I saw it got me thinking. How did he get separated from his twin? Is he or she dead?." Markus started

"Or is he or she somewhere else safe or in a similar situation." Caill added. "Markus are we doing the right thing by helping the capital find another set? What if they do the same thing they are doing to him? I don't know what they are doing to him but it can't be good if he looks like that." She finished before the two of them fell into an uncomfortable silence both lost in thought as to handle there current situation.

Somewhere deep in the forest

"Sir, there is a package here for you from My lady with a note attached. Would you like me to read it to you?" A tiny voice said.

"Of course Nightingale my sweet." A male voice answered.

I found the book, I trust you will get it to who it is meant to be with. When the time is right. Stay safe as you know things are in motion. I will visit soon.

A smile spread across his face "Looks like everything is beginning to fall into place lets just hope it's not too late." He said as he ran his hand over a locked trunk on a table near him. "Soon enough though just not too soon I hope" he whispered to himself, as he unlocked the trunk and placed the new book within.
