"Huh? Pit, what are you doing?" Sora asked, wearing his tank top and red plaid pajama pants. He was lying on his bed, with pillows and blankets all over the mattress. Obviously, a great bed maker was in the house.

Pit was crawling into bed to sleep closest to the window. Simply wearing his tank top and shorts he usually wore under his tunic. The angel flutters his wings and raises an eyebrow at Sora. "I'm going to bed? Like I usually do?" Pit was puzzled by Sora's question. Isn't going to bed an everyday routine that him and Sora do?

Sora simply shakes his head. "No, I mean… I was expecting you to play a game on the TV.." The keyblade wielder pointed over to the TV by the bed. It had a gaming console hooked up to it with two controllers that were decorated with stickers by it. The angel looks over at the TV before glancing back towards his boyfriend.

Did he want to watch him play a game? "You were expecting me to play a game?" Pit rubbed the back of his neck. A little curious as to why Sora wanted him to play something. Pit simply shakes his head to remove the thoughts from his head. "No, I'm not playing a game tonight. I had a long day and tomorrow-" Eyes shifted to the side. "-I just want to relax." He glances back over to Sora. "With you, Sora."

Sora blinks a few times at Pit. He understands that relaxation is very important, so he respected Pit's decision. Though, he couldn't help but pout; his chin pressing against the soft pillow in his arms. "Awe…" Sora loves watching Pit play video games. Especially if there is a story involved.

Pit snorted and laughed to himself. His hand reaches over to cup Sora's cheek. "Sorry, my prince! Tomorrow, I'll play my game and let you play with me as well!" The angel leans over to speak to Sora eye to eye. "Wouldn't that be cool or what?"

The keyblade wielder smiles. Letting go of the pillow and reaches over to pull Pit close to his body. "You bet!" Arms wrapped around Pit's waist and squeezed him tightly. Making sure to pull him on his lap. The angel happily laughs at Sora's response.

"Then it's a date!" Pit commented; pressing a small kiss on his cheek. Leading Sora to give his lover a big smile. The angel leans into Sora and nuzzles his cheek as well.

They both had their moment until the sound of thunder clapping in the distance broke it. Sora was immediately alerted and looked over to the window right by the bed. Pit glances over at the window as well. "Huh?"

He crawled off of Sora's lap to put his hands on the window frame to see where the noise was coming from. Cornflower blue hues gazed over to the dark clouds rolling in the distance. A wing twitched and flicked at the sight of the storm.

Meanwhile, Sora's ocean blue eyes showed fear inside. The fear wasn't big but it still scares him. Storms naturally scare the keyblade wielder. From when he was just a fourteen-year-old boy and watched Destiny Islands crumble to his feet with a dark storm swirling around - it took an effect on him. Eyebrows furrowed at the clouds. His lip quivered ever so slightly.

"Uh oh. Guess a storm is coming. We might get a power outage. Heh." Pit chuckled nervously to lighten the mood. He looked over at Sora and he couldn't help but notice his change of expression. It changed the spirit all around him. "Hey. Is.. everything okay?" Pit slowly crawls back over to Sora. Showing plenty of concern for his lover.

"Huh? Oh uhhhhh.." Sora rubbed the back of his head. C'mon.. make up an excuse. "Dang, no power tonight? Pff- that's fine. Not that we need it. Because we'll be… sleeping." Sora nervously spoke to Pit.

That made the angel raise an eyebrow at the keyblade wielder. "Uhm. I think you should get some sleep, Sora. You're acting a little funny." Pit suggested.

"Great idea!" Sora abruptly said before crawling over to the pillows and grabbing some blankets. He proceeded to go under the covers and lay his head on the pillow. Pit blinked a few times at his lover before shrugging. He crawls under the covers as well and presses his head against the pillow. "Good night, Sora." Pit reaches over to brush his hand against Sora's cheek.

Sora couldn't help but smile lovingly - even if he was acting weird earlier. "Night, Pit."

The storm raged a few hours later in the night. Raindrops hitting against the roof and on the beach house's windows. Distant thunder booms throughout the night sky. Dark clouds hiding any sort of star or moon. It looked incredibly dark out. Nobody should be out in a storm like this. Especially at night.

Both the angel and the keyblade wielder were sleeping very peacefully. Feathers were already scattered across the bed and room's floor from Pit's wings. That's just because Pit tends to move around in his sleep… and sometimes stealing the covers from Sora.

As peaceful as the night was - even with the pouring rain - there came an issue. Sora and storms don't go well together. With a clap of thunder, Sora's dreams began to shift inside slumber. Deep within Sora's dreams, he sees dark purple clouds starting to swirl around him. Lightning strikes by his feet. Making him extremely scared and start stumbling around in the edges of his mind.

He was beginning to breathe heavily in his sleep. Hands twitched as he tried to summon his keyblade to fight the storm. But it never appeared in his hand. The overwhelming fear was piling up as the dream continued. This time, it worsens.

With the sudden pressure and the feeling of being engulfed by fear, water began to flood at his feet. The storm was flooding all around him with how hard it was raining. His body began to sweat, but it felt more like rain and the flood was making him drenched. The flooding increased. Slowly rising to his chest. His heart pounded. How can he escape such a terrible fate in his dream?

Please… somebody. Anybody.. help me!

He cried out in his dream. His head shaking against the pillow. Why was this happening? Why does he feel like this is happening all over again?! The flood rises over his neck. Sora noticed a figure over the water. Eyes widen.

Pit?! Is that you?! Help! Help me!!

He cried out as he paddled helplessly. Trying to get over to the figure as quickly as possible. Despite all the efforts he was going through, the figure kept growing distance from him. No. This- This can't be happening! Please! Help me!

Eventually, his efforts were wasted. His arms became numb in his dream. Without a moment's notice, lightning strikes against Sora. Thunder booms loudly as Sora almost saw a flash of light.

Sora wakes up with wide eyes and jolts up. Gasping out desperately to get some air. Ocean blue eyes showed plenty of fear inside. Breath was truly heavy as he shifted his gaze on the window. Only to see it was raining pretty hard out and it was incredibly dark.

Sora sat still while watching raindrops hit the glass like it was nothing. Anxiety was building up in his body. It was starting to get hard to bottle up these negative emotions inside. All these negative memories and these terrible dreams he has been getting for years. It was starting to get to him. It was starting to get a hold of his fears.

Thunder strikes once again and a flash of light startled Sora. Badly. Seeing a flash of eyes that looked like a heartless; scaring Sora half to death.

"AAAH!"

Sora cried out. Arms going over his face to defend himself from whatever was going to attack him.

Pit immediately woke up by the scream. He gasped awake and looked around the room in confusion as to what the noise was all about. Wings raised up defensively to show he was ready to attack any intruder. After squinting his eyes through the dark room and seeing nothing but dirty clothes and scattered toys everywhere, he sighed in relief. Thank goodness that nobody was attacking us. But… Why did Sora scream?

The sleepy angel glances at Sora in confusion. His wings curled up at the sight of Sora covering his face with his arms. Huh? Why is he..? This was very strange indeed. Nobody is in the house except him and Sora. So, why was he afraid? His hand lifts up to gently grab his shoulder.

Unfortunately, that startled Sora. But only a little. The spiky-haired teenager quickly lifts his head up at whoever touched him. Tears already running down his cheeks. His eyes soften at the sight of a very sleepy angel squinting at him. Pit rubs one of his eyes to try and get a better view of Sora.

"Sora, why did you scream? Did you hurt yourself?" Pit asked in a groggy tone of voice. Looking at Sora with one squinting eye.

"P-Pit… I-.." Sora blinks a few times. Emotions were already washing over the keyblade wielder. Like a flood putting pressure against a dam; cracking due to the force. Tears began to build up at the edges of his eyes. He turns over to Pit and wraps his arms around him. Face buried into his shoulder.

"I-I.. got really scared!" Sora cried out. Sora began to sob on Pit's shoulder. Arms tighten around the angel's body. It was as if he was holding on to dear life. "I-I was drowning and I needed help! A-And I think saw you but I couldn't reach you-" Sora cut himself off with a sob. Face nuzzling into Pit's shoulder.

The rain pattered against the window. There was only distant thunder for now. Pit tiredly stares at the sobbing Sora. Lazy arms wrap around him in an attempt to comfort him. Hearing those words from Sora, he can only guess that it was just a bad dream. "It sounds like you had a scary nightmare, Sora." Pit places his chin on Sora's shoulder. "You're okay, Sora. You are completely safe when I'm here."

Sora sobbed and cried. Letting his hands go in between his wings to hug him closer. His chest heaved with his laments. Sorrow filled the keyblade wielder's heart and he was in desperate need of comfort. He was ever so lucky that he was dating such a sweet angel. No longer does he have to suffer when a nightmare appears in his dreams at night. When Pit is sleeping right next to him, he knows he will be protected.

Only soft cries filled the room for the next few minutes. The storm continued to patter against the window. Slowly but surely, the loud thunder followed the dark cloud and there was barely any noise. Other than that, the bedroom was silent.

Pit turns his head to look at Sora and gives him a few kisses on the head. He whispered in his ear, "The thunder is gone, Sora. I know how much you hate thunderstorms."

The sobs gradually stopped. There was only silence beside the rain hitting the window. His head slowly lifts up to finally look out the window. Watching rain droplets hit the glass pane. His eyes were puffy red from how much he has been crying for the past few minutes. But the sweet embrace made him feel so much better.

"...It's still raining." Sora sniffled in between his sentences.

Pit chuckles, "It's better than hearing those loud noises, hm?" He was trying to light up the mood a bit.

Sora slowly leans back a little to look into Pit's eyes. "Pit, are you sure there aren't any heartless in the house?" He sniffled. Rubbing his eyes and getting rid of any dry tears.

The angel simply shakes his head, "I promise, there aren't any heartless in the house. There's no nobodys or unversed here either. It's just the two of us." His voice still sounded like he was tired. But he still tried his best at comforting Sora in any way he can.

At first, Sora was still nervous. Pit didn't even go around the house and check if there's anything. So he sat there with exhausted, sad eyes.

"Why? Was Heartless in your dreams?" Pit asked, tilting his head.

Sora shook his head, "When I woke up, I saw a flash and I thought it was a Heartless." He informed.

Pit's eyebrows furrowed at that. It must have been a hallucination. The angel hums in thought, thinking about what to do next. Sora does need his sleep. How should he go about this?

He gazed around the room. Looking at every shelf he could see. When his eyes landed on the TV set, an idea popped into his head.

"Hey, Sora. How about we watch some tv?" Pit suggested. At first, Sora liked the idea. But.. he had a question.

Sora looked nervously at the tv, "Isn't the power out?"

The angel shrugged slightly. There's only one way to find out. He scoots off the bed and walks over to the TV set. Crouching down, he began to fiddle with the buttons on the TV. Meanwhile, Sora was watching from the bed.

After a few moments of just messing with the controls on the TV, Pit pressed the power button. A flash appeared on the screen making Sora flinch for a second. Cornflower blue eyes flutter at the sudden light invading his eyes. A show was already playing on the screen. Leading to Pit smiling to himself.

Pit slowly stood up. Looking at the TV screen for a moment then walking back to the bed. Crawling over to Sora, "How's that? Better?"

"..Mhm." Sora smiled and nodded. Rubbing his tear-stained cheek. "Much.. better."

The angel's smile softens into a much more genuine one. A hand cups his cheek and he presses a kiss on the other. "There is nothing to be afraid of. Especially when Lady Palutena's Captain is here to protect you!" Showing his confidence, he puffed up his chest.

With a snort, the keyblade wielder started to laugh at his boyfriend. "Your right, I have nothing to be afraid of when a very beautiful angel of light is sleeping right next to me." Sora gave Pit a wink.

Red cheeks appeared on the angel's face. Wide eyes stare at his beloved. Not expecting such a gesture from Sora. His wing rubs against his red cheek to try and brush it off. Removing his hand off his cheek, "Y-Yep! I'll always be right next to you! Heh.."

Sora blinks and looks out the window. Seeing it was still raining but less hard than earlier. Which was a relief for him. He gazed back over to his boyfriend, "Alright, I think I'm ready to go back to bed."

Wings curled up, "Good, you need rest." Pit nodded and crawled right into the covers. Sora followed suit. Their heads hit the pillow and they look into each other's eyes. The volume on the TV set was low but still can be heard. It was perfect.

"Goodnight, Pit," Sora whispered.

"Night, Sora. Don't worry about nightmares, I'm right here when you need me, alright?" Pit scoots closer to Sora.

Sora put his arm under the pillow, "Now I know. Thank you. I love you." Another arm reaches out to wrap around Pit's torso. The softest smile graced Sora's face and his eyes became half-lidded.

The angel leans forward to press his forehead against his lover's. "I love you too." Eyes gradually close. The keyblade wielder watches his angel close his eyes. Eventually, after admiring his face, he closes his eyes as well.

Gentle rain hit against the window. Talking actors were heard on the TV. The presence of his loved one. It was all perfect. Sora started to drift back into sleep. No longer afraid of any nightmares that awaited him.

Seagulls cawed outside on the beach, the sun was shining through the window, and the angel was still slumbering into bed.

No longer was the rain present. It migrated past their house last night when they fell asleep. The only thing leftover from the rain was the soggy beaches by the shore.

It didn't take long for Pit to wake up. Sun rays hit his eyes to give him a warm awakening. Wings spasm at the sunshine's touch. Eyes slowly flutter open. Quickly squinting when realizing the sunlight messing up his vision. Making the angel chirp in realization. Lifting his head slightly to stop the sun from getting into his eyes.

Eyes keep squinting. For a moment he laid there. He slowly shifts his head up to look out the window. Seeing that the sun was shining and the rain was finally gone. He smiled.

"Sora, the rain is gone-!" Pit looks over to see that his lover is gone. His eyes widened slightly when he saw nothing but moved covers by his side. Placing a hand over the sheets - they were cold. Eyes shifted around the room quickly. The tv set was off. Anxiety already spiking in his heart.

"Sora? Sora?!" Pit called out in a panic. He began to slide off the bed. With all that talk from last night about nightmares and Heartless; it worried the angel.

"Pit?" A voice from outside the door spoke out. A familiar voice. The angel stops what he was doing and looks at the door. The door opens to reveal Sora wearing a red plaid t-shirt with rolled-up sleeves, cuffed black jeans, and an apron that he got from Disney Town. He was holding a tray with food on top of it. Waffles with syrup and small cut strawberries on the top, sliced toast with butter, a small bowl full of banana slices, silverware, and a cup of orange juice sat on the tray.

"What's the matter?" Sora tilted his head.

The angel's eyes widened even more. He was pretty much awake by now. Wasn't expecting Sora to be up this early. What was that on the tray? "S-Sora? What's that?" He pointed at what was in his hands.

Ocean blue eyes glanced down at the tray before smiling at Pit. "It's your breakfast! Made just for you!" Sora walked over to the angel. Putting his knee on the bed - he reaches over to place the tray on his beloved's lap.

With a gasp, the angel stared at the delicious meal sitting right on his lap in awe. It.. looks so good! Pit had to hold himself back from drooling on the meal. Shaking his head, "F-For me? Why?" He tilted his head at Sora.

Sora snorted a chuckle, "First off, you're not that good at cooking."

Almost immediately, Pit glared right at Sora. Giving the keyblade wielder a laugh.

"I'm kidding, I'm kidding!" He puts his hands up in defense. The teenager lays down on the bed right next to Pit. "But seriously, it's because you helped me sleep last night."

An eyebrow raised at Sora, "Huh? Because I helped you sleep? But- I don't know, Sora.. all this food just because of last night?"

"And because you wanted some relaxation," Sora added.

"Sora, I don't need to be rewarded with something like that. I love you. And I wanted you to be happy. I know how nightmares are. They're scary. I just wanted to let you know that I'm always right next to you."

The spiky-haired brunette smiled at his angel. "See, Pit? That's what I love about you. You're so sweet and caring. This is how I want to show you that I appreciate it." Sora gestured to the tray. "And because I love you."

The angel sighed happily. Sora was right. Nothing wrong with somebody showing their gratitude. Besides, he would never want to waste any of Sora's delicious meals! "Your right, thank you."

With a playful wink, Sora leaned in and kissed the angel right on the lips. They both cherished such a sweet moment. The kiss was filled with love and appreciation. Pit knew his relaxing day is going to turn out amazing.

They slowly lean back to look into each other's eyes. "Alright, Pit. Hurry up and eat before your waffles and toast get cold!"

Eyes widen once again and he looked down at his food, "Oh no!" Pit cried out. Grabbing the spoon by the waffles and immediately stabbing it into his waffles. Taking a huge bite from it.

Sora laughed at his boyfriend, "Slow down! Don't choke!"

Pit was eating up his breakfast while Sora was just laughing at Pit. Today was already starting out great for the two. Finally, with some relaxation - they can do things they have been planning on doing for a long while.
