Zelda didn't know how long she had been there sobbing. It must of only been 10 minutes or so, but it felt like hours. By now most of her tears had dried up, except for the odd one that rolled down her face, only to fall and splash against the cold, hard floor.

Link hadn't got any better either, which didn't surprise Zelda but she hoped and prayed that he would just open his eyes and be okay again. Link passed out from blood loss a few minutes ago leaving Zelda alone on the silent bridge where the only sound was Links shallow, wheezy breathes. He didn't have long left. That was for sure.

Just then the sound of Links breathing was interrupted by something moving around her. Zeldas heart raced as all her senses heightened to listen for any movement.

Suddenly Impa appeared at Zeldas side. Zelda let out a high pitched yelp as she was shoved aside by Impa.

"I-Impa? What are you doing?" Zelda was shocked. Surely her father would not approve of Impa treating her in such manner.

"Shhh, I'm only here to help." Was the only thing Impa said before producing a vile of green liquid and pouring it into Links mouth.

They both waited in anticipation. Would the healing elixir work or is it too late?

Nothing happened. Zelda's shoulders slumped. It was too late.

Impa did the only thing she could, walk over to Zelda and be a shoulder to cry on. Impa rubbed small circles on her back as her tears quickly soaked into Impa's shirt.

Just then a loud and irrupt coughing came from behind Impa. Zelda's head shot up only to have Link's piecing blue eyes meet her own.

He was okay. The elixir did work. Zelda dropped to her knees and cradled Links head in her lap as he finished his coughing fit.

"Thank you Hylia. Link don't you ever scare me like that do you hear me?" Link only looked up into her watery eyes and gave her a sheepish smile.

"No promises" Was Links reply as he pulled her back into his embrace.

"Sorry to cut this reunion short but we've got bigger issues." Impa cut in with a voice like ice.

"What is it?" Link replied concerned.

"For being someone who reads people well, I thought you would've figured it out, Sir Link."

"Well I did just die Impa so maybe you could let me off on this one." Impa chuckled at Links response but it was brief because she was back to being serious again.

"That wasn't the King. The King would never be so foolish as to kill the one who can defeat the calamity." They were all in disbelief.

"If that wasn't the King. Then who was it?"

"Master Kohga" Everyone's blood froze, how could this be. Link looked over to Zelda who looked like she was going to cry for the 100th time today.

"Well then we need a plan to kill Kohga and get the King back, simple right." The least Link could do is try to be positive.

A/N was only going to keep this story to a one shot but I just couldn't leave it, so here's the next chapter and hopefully there will be more to come sometime soon. I also want to apologize for my lack of posting. I got some very hurtful messages about my stories and that kinda put me off but I'm back now and nothing will stop me from writing. Stay safe and I hope you have a good day. :)
