A/N: My entry for a Secret Santa challenge between myself, and three other writers, dedicated to one of them. Enjoy.
Robert Forrest grinned as he woke this morning. It was his birthday. He was sure his girlfriend, Clover, and her friends had something big in mind. He didn't know how right he was. Another smile came to his face as he had some bacon, a few cinamon roles and coffee for breakfast. He'd been Lucky to get Clover, as Mandy, a fellow student at Beverly Hills High, had tried to get him for herself to spite Clover. She'd failed in that regard. Her two friends, Alex and Sam, also had love interests of their own. Alex was with Andrew, a stoic sounding man from Massachusetts, though she saw past that aspect of his character. Sam, or Samantha, had been the most interesting. Mocked in her younger days for her intelligence, meeting Alex and Clover, and other friends she'd made had helped her overcome that, among other things. Her boyfriend was another matter. One Lancel Lannister, a member of an extremely wealthy family. His cousin, Cersei, had roped him into working for her late husband, a businessman who drank more than was good for him. That had been his undoing. The latest couple in their group of 6 had endured several trials to come together, but had done so despite Cersei's best efforts.
Clover, meanwhile, almost screamed with joy. Sansa, one of the friends she'd made in Westeros on one of their latest missions, would be coming for Robert's party. Her little sister, Arya, and her boyfriend Gendry would also be joining them, as would others. As nice as Robert's house was, Clover thought it would be easier to have the party, dinner included at her family mansion. It had taken some convincing, but, her father soon supported her idea.
Later, everyone had arrived. Jerry, the director for WOOHP had managed to show up, something that surprised them all.
"Thought you'd be busy." Robert told him.
"I try to attend every one of my spies birthdays."
Alex and Andrew arrived next, followed by Sam and Lancel.
"Well, you gonna open your gifts or what?" Clover asked.
Andrew chuckled.
"The man should wait until our guests arrive."
"Good point."
The rest of Lancel's family was first to arrive from Westeros.
Janei, and the twins, Martyn and Willem hugged Sam, their future sister-in-law, then Lancel.
"How's L.A treating you?" Martyn asked.
"No complaints."
Kevan and Dorna came up next, Kevan shaking Robert's hand.
"My brother couldn't make it, sorry to say."
"Scheduling conflicts?"
He nodded.
"He did ask me to send over a gift to you though."
"Excellent."
Others soon began arriving. Clover's parents, Stella and Blake, Karen and Mark, Robert's parents, Gabby and Noah, Sam's mother and father, Alex's mother, Carmen and father, Elliot.
Sansa, Gendry and Arya were last to arrive.
"Don't do anything-" Sansa warned, but she was too late, as Arya revealed a rope of sausages and made her entrance.
"Oh Gods." Sansa moaned, having no choice but to follow, Gendry bringing up the rear.
Soon, the party was on. Gifts were soon opened after a large dinner of fish, chicken and more.
Robert had gotten a set of weights from Alex, a winter coat in Lannister colors from Lancel, a book from Sam on The Soviets role in World War 2, A DVD box set from Andrew, two bottles of wine from Tywin and Kevan, Arbor Gold, and many more.
Clover was given the honor of cutting the cake after Robert had blown out the candles, and Kevan soon had past around glasses of Arbor red to everyone, and grape juice for his youngest daughter, which Sam helped her with. Sam politely refused the wine her future father-in-law offered, preferring sweet tea.
"Don't over do it on the wine." Sansa cautioned.
"Too bad it's winter. If there was a pool, we could play Marco Polo." Arya told the group.
"Yes, then you and Gendry would throw me in, like you did last time." Sansa laughed. The others cracked up at hearing that story.
Sam noticed how odd Sansa seemed to be acting, and asked her about it.
"Where to start with Arya tonight? The off-color jokes, the sausage twirling..."
"You wanted her to behave herself?"
"Yes."
"She's a tomboy, so's Alex. Not every girl is gonna be all prim and proper." the redhead explained, watching Arya and Gendry along with other couples on the dance floor as Christmas music played.
"I gess. That, and I'm a bit jealous. I haven't found anyone since I split with Joffrey."
Sam hugged the redhead.
"You will one of these days. It took me a while to find someone."
Lancel came up to her, gently guiding her to a dance.
Sansa thought over what Sam had told her. She was sure the American spy was right. She would find someone to love her one day.
Soon, the party was winding down.
"Sammy." Janei managed, yawning.
"Awww, getting sleepy, kiddo?"
The 3 year old nodded, and Sam gently carried her to Kevan's car, even helping her to get buckled in. Lancel blew her a kiss as they drove away.
Robert managed to make his way to Clover's SUV.
"I'll, like, drop you off, birthday boy."
"Thanks, babe."
She soon reached his house.
"Got your house key?"
"Left pants pocket."
"Well, good night, honey." She told him, kissing him on the cheek before he made his way to his front door.
'My future husband'., she thought, hearts in her eyes as she headed for home herself.
Andrew turned to Alex.
"Well, what'd you think?"
"We should hold parties here more often?" She asked, giggling.
"Besides that, honey."
"Nothing crazy happened, but, don't hold your breath."
"I know what you mean. We're super spies for WOOHP so, anything can happen."
They all knew being a spy wasn't an easy life, not by a long shot, but, they had made it work all these years, and would keep on doing it.
