Ace and Smoker
~mad dyslexic brain sorry for the spelling errors. I love this ship and this is my first fanfic.
There was a commotion. He was there, of course he was there. Why was HE there! There he was just sitting there without a care in the world, displacing his tattoo for all to see.
"You got a lot of nerve showing your face around here. What's Whitebeard's second division commander doing here ... Portgaz D. Ace?"
Smoker was mad. Not because the pirate was there, but because he had the nerve to to sit there, WITH HIS SHIRT OFF, in PUBLIC with no regard for the situation it put Smoker in.
"I'm just looking for my kid brother." Ace said with a smirk.
Of course. Yeah right, like hell the brat didn't know Smoker would be there.
"So, what now?"
Ace was heartily enjoying the emotions that were chasing each other across the captain's face, while the marine was trying to keep his composure. After several minutes of staring and grinding of teeth, Smoker managed to say, "Give your self up." Which earned him a small smirk and the reply, "Sorry, no can do." from the freckled youth.
At this point, Smoker's sugars had almost been chewed in half and the gray haired marine was at his wits end. All the same, he kept his cool and. said calmly, "I'm looking for another pirate right now. I'm not interested in taking your head."
"Then let me go." was the cheeky response.
"No can do" Smoker said. As if the brat didn't know the captain's pride would never allow him to let Ace go in public.
Smoker was done talking, at least until they were in the privacy of his cabin and the black haired boy was pinned under him again.
Smoker finished his sentence with, "as long as I'm in the Navy and you're still a pirate!"
"That's a dumb reason, can't we try to get along?"
At that precise moment, something or someone came hurtling through the door, sending the marine crashing into Ace and both of them went straight through the next ten buildings.
"Dang it! who did that!?" Ace was thankful for the interruption, but he did not appreciate being sent flying.
Smoker got up more slowly, it was a hell of a way to end a conversation but at least it was over.
Ace and Smoker both saw Luffy at the same time.
There it was, his excuse for letting the Fair-Fist go, "Straw Hat!".
