Rimuru sighed as he finished another batch of paperwork, putting it on top of the others. His days were filled with peace and calm. There was nothing for him to do, Tempest was the biggest country in the world, there were no enemies barring some pseudo-Demon Lords here and there every year.
Truly these were the golden age of this world, filled with peace after The Great War, all he had to do was sign paperwork. He sighed once again, [Ciel] could have finished all of his work in a minute yet she refused to do so. He missed the old days when she used to do everything he wanted, though he couldn't find a way to counter her reasoning.
[It is your country, so you need to know what's happening, Master!]
Truly, the wisdom of Manas didn't know the end.
His subordinates were no help as well, Milim was forced to work by Freya and Carion so she couldn't come to play. And he was forbidden from playing with Veldora and Ramiris which, in his opinion, was not fair as the duo was having fun with him.
Without noticing he finished yet another batch, dumping into the stack that was getting quite ridiculous in the size. He needed to turn his hand to slime to stack papers without getting up from his comfy chair.
He got up from his seat and walked to the door only to freeze while opening it. A goblin maid outside noticed him.
"Lord Rimuru, what can I do for you?" A goblin maid asked him, a flash of concern passed on her face before returning to her natural expression.
"Tell Diablo, Benimaru, and Souei to meet me in the dungeon," Rimuru said before teleporting without a glance to the maid. The maid stood there frozen for a second before hurrying to the communication department. It was unusual for Lord Rimuru to not make small talk with them. Something important must have happened. She hastened her steps.
Rimuru only waited for five minutes till his trusted aides appeared at the research floor of the dungeon. Veldora and Ramiris were there as well, though they sat in silence as they sensed the seriousness.
"Lord Rimuru, we came as soon as possible." Diablo was the first one to bow and talk, he was in his usual butler clothing.
"I need you three to look after Tempest for a while." Of course, his answer was welcomed with an outburst from the trio.
"Lord Rimuru, please tell us if we did anything wrong!" "My lord, you shouldn't leave Tempest for our mistakes" "We will corre-?!"
" STOPPP!" He shouted.
"I am not leaving because something is wrong, there is something wrong with the other world, I can't sense my other-self." He sat down on a bean-bag that was lying around.
"Diablo, you know that I gave myself a necklace to keep track of him. I can't get anything from it, something must have happened. I'm not leaving because of a mistake or something, have some trust in me will ya?" He berated them, just because he hated paperwork didn't mean he was escaping, it only happened twice!
"I shall accompany you, My Lord." Diablo said with a small smirk, after all, he had been there once.
"Nope, I'm going to deal with this myself." Unlike his normal sense, there was a finality on his voice, Diablo didn't know it but Benimaru and Souei heard it once when Shion died. It was the same tone of voice. It was the reason why they kept quiet.
Benimaru and Souei shared a glance before nodding, it seemed Lord Rimuru already reached a conclusion about his actions.
"If it's your wish we will do our best!" Souei just nodded along, he was not to talk after all.
Diablo stared at them before giving up, he knew that Benimaru would be the first one to objects to their Lord's decision. He sensed that there was a reason. A reason he intended to find out.
"Thank you, now! You three are in charge, and I'm sure that there is no important paperwork I have. By my estimations, I will be returning in a week, gotta buy manga for Veldora." He said while glancing at the Veldora at the corner of the lab.
Said figure was reading a manga with Ramiris instead of doing anything. He truly envied their carefree life.
"As you wish Lord Rimuru, we will do our best," Diablo said. Rimuru glanced at them for a while before giving a satisfied hum.
"Very well, I will be on my care, see you later guys." With his last sentence disappeared from the world. Even Diablo couldn't travel the universe with his myriad of skills.
A silence descended upon the room, the trio didn't make any sound as they sat on the couches near the lounging area.
"Oi Rimuru, do you have the next volume of this sacred text?" Veldora, oblivious to the mood shouted across the room. The generals sighed before teleporting.
Rimuru looked around the desolate world around him, this place was the home of his other self, Satoru. The earth was barren, filled with ruins of buildings. What made it so different is that the buildings were from different timelines. He could spot a ruined skyscraper beside a mud hut that was had been used a long time ago.
There was no living creature around the city, no animal or human even plants were lost. The world seemed to reach its end. Something that shouldn't have happened.
This was no mere natural disaster, the whole life in the world seemed to disappear. He asked Ciel to make calculations about the reason but even then, could he restore the world? 'Even if I can, should I ?' Was another question, if the world reached its ultimate end who was he to destroy the balance. As he thought about philosophic questions about the existence of his world a portal opened near him.
An old man came out. Long slicked-back gray hair with his combed white beard, he was wearing a pristine black tailored suit with a cane. All together giving a stylish old-man air. What made him interesting was his red eyes, no human had red eyes after all.
Rimuru gazed at the old man for a while before getting up from the debris he was sitting on and walked to the man.
"Oi, old man, do you know what happened to Humanity?" The said figure turned to him and raised an eyebrow before smiling.
"Hmm, yes, of course, humanity met its demise after all." His teeth were too sharp for his likening, perhaps he was a vampire? It didn't matter though, he needed to find what happened.
"How did that happened, everything was normal before I left."
"So you were the foreign entity that visited a year ago, aren't you?" Even though the old man had his smile, his eyes were sharp, calculating as he gazed at him.
"Yes, it was me. I came to buy manga." Veldora and Ramiris were high maintenance.
"Ahh, is that so?" The old man seemed a little surprised at his answer, though who could blame him. An unknown entity buying manga.
"Are you going to tell me what happened?" The old man sighed as he sat down, gesturing him to do the same.
"Well, it would take all of the fun if I told you everything, so what I'm going to do is give you two choices." Rimuru raised an eyebrow at the old man; he seemed to know what happened yet not interfere with it.
"You see, humans foresaw this disaster and prepared themselves by creating an organization, their last stand if you like dramatics." He pulled a deck of cards from his inner pocket and started shuffling it. "The humans disappeared because of singularities, a hole in the timeline of the world, you could say. Events that are special to the time of humans and with their destabilization the Human Order is facing major disturbing." The old man finished and spread the deck on a piece of rubble.
"The aim of this organization is to correct these irregularities and stabilize the Human Order so the world could be restored to its original timeline. All right class, you can ask your questions!" He said, looking around as searching for students.
Rimuri sighed before raising his hand. "Yes, blue-haired deity, go on."
"Who are you?" It was very important though, perhaps he was someone like him.
"Oh yes, we forget the introductions how shameful." He shook his head, disappointed. "Very well, I will go first. I'm Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg, the user of the Second True Magic, known as the operation of the parallel worlds. At your service." Zelretch said with a dramatic bow and a toothy grin.
"Hahh, how bothersome. I'm Rimuru Tempest, The Great Demon Lord, one of the True Dragons and Demon God. At your service." Zelrecht looked at him suspiciously.
"You don't look like a Dragon."
"I know, think of it as a title."
"Really, you don't look like a Demon too."
"I like humans."
"Hmm.." The silence continued for before Zelrecht continued. "Do you want to watch how humanity save itself?"
"Is that mean I can' help?" It was a subtle meaning though he got it, Zelrecht deliberately said watch not help.
"As an outer god even if you do help, the world itself won't recognize your deeds, you can help but in the end, humanity needs to save itself." Rimuru started to scratch his chin, Zelrecht made sense. "And the world is consistently trying to erase you as you don't belong here, though you must be quite strong, you don't even notice it didn't you?"
"Eh really, I thought it was because of the whole humanity died thing." He did notice, well Ciel did. "How am I going to watch it?" He asked.
Zelrecht smiled before gesturing the cards. "With these cards, of course, we will make that you will be summoned to the human organization." Then he started to scratch his beard. "But I believe your strength exceeds the limits of these cards."
Rimuru thought for a while before asking Ciel-sensei, she could do nearly everything. His answer came nearly the same time after he asked. She must have been doing calculations behind his back.
"This would work out." He murmured, catching Zelrecht attention. With the use of Evil Dragon Lord Azi Dahaka, he created a clone of himself. Zelrecht raised his eyebrows at the sight yet Rimuru paid no mind. He was analyzing the power levels of the cards during their talk. The power level of those cards was around A class, maybe A+.
"Don't give yourself too many skills, the more versatile you are the harder for you to be contained by the class cards." Zelrecht supplied behind. "I believe the foreigner class card will be the most suitable for you."
Rimuru nodded while debating whatever skills he would give himself.
After half an hour the duo finished their work and stood together. The class card would act as a container for the clone while Rimuru would control his body from outside with a soul corridor. Zelrecht would be the one who will make sure that his summoning was a success.
The duo shook hands before Rimuru disappeared into his Imaginary Room. Zelrecht stood at the same place for a while and released a breath.
"It seems humans are still liked." The silence continued. "An outer god that protects humanity huh." He stood up from his seat before creating a portal with his jeweled sword.
"I don't know if I stood a chance against that monster." With those last words, he disappeared. Unnoticed to the Demons that plagued the world.
Roman sighed as he rubbed the bridge of his nose, this week's servant summonings consisted of failures, both Gudao and Gudako started to lose hope. Wishing to solve one of the smaller singularities to collect Saint Quartz instead of waiting.
Another black key appeared at the summoning circle, breaking his morale. He yawned and got up from his chair, this was the last summoning of the day as he walked to the exit he noticed that the Fujimaru twins were standing still.
Roman walked to the commander's desk and opened the communications down below.
"Hey, aren't we going back? I don't want to miss Emiya's cooking." The twins chuckled before showing a mask to him. He didn't even notice it during the summoning.
"Dr. Roman Gudako wants to use this mask as a catalyst. Should we do it." Roman stared at the mask from far, it was weird to say with a crack near the eye making it look like a tear.
Gudako didn't wait for his opinion. "Of course we are going to, I'm sensing very good things about this one!" She elbowed her twin when Gudao raised an eyebrow.
"Ah-h well, if you want then go on." With Roman's permission, Gudako shot a smug grin to his brother before placing down the mask.
As the summoning process started gold and black lines started to appear, black lightning zapped around the room. Roman's face went pale. If something bad happened Da Vinci would never let him take breaks. To make matters worse, automatic Chaldea protocols could be heard around the building

Servants rushed to the summoning room, Assasins and Lancers were first to arrive. Hassan of the Cursed Arm used his presence concealment to hide in the room, Lancer Cu Chuallin stood in front of the twins. Emiya, Arturia, Paracelsus along Zhuge Liang stood near their masters.
It was expected that the constant rush of servents increased, this was the first time something like that happened.
The light slowly faded as a girl walked towards them. Platinium blue hair with golden eyes, remanding them the alters. The figure wore black a black overcoat and a scarf. Under the coat, she wore the kimono and pants. The figure smiled at the sight of different servants waiting for her smallest sign of aggression to attack.
"So this is the last defense of humanity. How interesting. Very well, Servent Foreigner, I look forward to working with you masters." The figure smiled at the duo of masters. Gudako was the first one to recover.
"I am Gudako Fujimaru, and this is my twin Gudao." Gudao sent a small wave to her. "I look forward to being your master as well ehh. Foreigner?"
"Call me Rimuru master."
