Fix You

Hello everyone! How are you all? I know it's been a couple weeks since my last update, and as much as I hate to say this I think it will be this way from now on. But the important thing is that I'm still updating, right? Anyways, today is my birthday but it's you guys that are getting the present which is this chapter and soon a new Heleon story that will be posted soon. That's good, yes? Some of you may be asking why I started another story if I'm having trouble with this one. Well, working on something new, coming up with new ideas, helps my creativity. Moving on, I do hope you enjoy this chapter and the new story as well. I thank you for all the reviews and PMs and most importantly for your patience. It is all greatly appreciated. I'm also glad to say that most of you liked the name Leon picked out for a possible, still unknown, child. Without further ado, I present the new chapter. Hope you enjoy.

~Chapter 20

Sitting in the driver's seat of his SUV, Leon slammed his hands on the steering wheel in frustration. Just what the hell was he doing? He had wanted honesty and he had gotten it. When he had said he wanted he and Helena to talk about anything it was not theoretical. He had meant every single word. So why was he so angry and acting like a little bitch? When had he become so melodramatic?

He shook his head. He had been wrong; wrong in yelling at Helena for something he himself had done countless times which as much as he hated to admit was a lot worse. He had cheated. Helena had not.

He had no right to have acted in that manner. No right. She had done nothing wrong. She had not betrayed him as a lover. Perhaps as a friend but that was hardly important. What was important was his current situation and how to fix it. Why couldn't things be easy? If punching himself in the throat would miraculously fix things he would do it in a heartbeat… Then again, how would that be relevant? How would it help things? The best thing to do would be to sit down with Helena and talk things out like adults.

The male sighed deeply. Helena. Oh Helena. Just what was it about that woman that made him so… eccentric… crazy… so unlike himself? Was it the way she made him feel; New, fresh, invincible, like he could take on the world? Was it the way she understood him? Was it because he felt complete with her, as if she were the piece he felt he had been missing? Or maybe it was love. Real love, the kind he had never known he wanted until opening his eyes to the reality that was his life. And it was all because of her.

Whenever he looked into her eyes, he knew it was real. She was the air he breathes. She was his very essence, what made him want to be a better man and strive for greatness. She was his lover, his friend and he had wronged her. Deep remorse and regret filled him. What had he done? Fucking idiot…

Breaking free of the hold around her neck, Helena moved to attack, grunting instead from a sudden blow to the face, forcing her back into the apartment. Another punch had her stumbling to the floor, the impact knocking the breath from her lungs. What was happening? Pushing up, the dazed brunette coughed. Stars danced across her vision as she grimaced in excruciating pain.

With a sadistic laugh, Charles stepped over the fallen female and lifted her up, pinning her against the nearest wall. "My, aren't you a sight for sore eyes" he spoke with mirth. Helena gasped as a hand was pressed over her throat, choking and preventing her breath.

Immobile in fear, all she could do was struggle and gasp for even an ounce of air. With a whimper she wrapped her hands around the strong wrists. "P-please…" she strained.

Charles smiled a cackle rumbling in his throat. Every cringe, every squirm, made his grip tighten. He could feel her fear, her desperation and oh did it excite him. His eyes pierced her soul, the starvation to be dominant rising…

"Lover's quarrel?" a voice chimed. Leon stopped at the foot of the stairs from the entrance of the building. His eyes narrowed. "Ada." He turned to see her trademark cunning grin pulling at her lips. Fear swept through him. Her presence here meant only one thing. Pushing aside his feelings of apprehension and fear, he rushed upstairs. Ada gave a soft chuckle…

"It's nothing personal" Charles spoke. "It's just business." His grip tightened as he snickered, grinning. "Though I must say, being the obnoxious pugnacious bastard that I am, I'm taking a bit of pleasure from this."

In a desperate attempt, Helena brought her foot to his groin with brute force. "Ah! Bitch!" Charles groaned loudly from the impact and threw the female across the room. Helena crashed into the opposite wall and dropped onto a small table, breaking it. She coughed and wheezed, her body aching.

Charles glared with vice as the pain in his groin slowly dulled. He growled. "Now I really am going to enjoy myself." In quick strides he approached her. The female groaned and whimpered as a hand gripped her hair roughly and pulled, forcing her up to her feet.

With great force, the woman was bent over the kitchen table, her face slamming into the hard surface. Helena squirmed as she felt her legs pried open. "No!" she cried as she lifted up, delivering a strong head butt causing the man to stumble back with a grunt. Releasing a weary sigh, the brunette dropped to her knees, weak and exhausted.

Recovering, Charles shook his head and moved to attack, grunting yet again as a strong force struck and sent him toppling to the ground. Panting heavily, Leon turned the attacker of the woman he loved over onto his back and settled himself over him in a straddle. "Bastard!" he seethed as he delivered blow after brutal blow. This man would pay. He would die a thousand deaths for laying his hands on her. He grunted as a sudden sharp pain pierced his neck and before long the world darkened as he dropped with a heavy thud.

Panting, Charles pushed the male off and sat up. "It's about time you decide to show up" he spat. Ada stood at the door. "I don't like to be rushed." With graceful movements, she stepped over the blond and toward the brunette, looking down upon her.

Helena glared daggers. "This is a new low for you" she spoke, her voice strained. The Asian vixen gave a smirk as she aimed her handgun, firing off a single shot. Helena grunted as the dart pierced her neck. With a small groan she dropped with a light thud.

Sighing, Ada turned toward the mercenary. "Let's get this done. No doubt all that noise you made attracted unwanted attention." She shifted her gaze onto the blond, beckoning toward him with her pistol. "We'll take him with us."

"You're the boss." Charles groaned as he stood. He wiped off his bloody lip and knelt by Helena. He sniffled as he scooped her up into his arms, standing with a grunt. "She sure is a feisty one."

"Just hurry" Ada said, keeping her gaze on the blond as she listened to the retreating footsteps. Giving another small sigh, the woman tucked her pistol into its holster strapped to her thigh and knelt down before the male. She soothed the blonde's locks back, admiring his features. "You know you brought this upon yourself Leon."

The woman grunted and spiraled back from a sudden kick to the head. Blinking her vision clear, she lifted her head up, her eyes widening at the sight of the woman standing before her, "You." She groaned as she sat up. "I thought you were dead."

A chuckle sounded, "In your dreams." The woman placed her hands over her hips. "Your assassination attempt failed miserably."

Ada growled and lunged forward, gasping as her stomach was pierced through. "You should never fuck with the original" the mysterious woman spoke. A hiss sounded soon after. Ada stumbled back, looking down to her stomach where a syringe stuck. She reached with shaking hands and pulled it out with a grunt.

"Liquid nitrogen" the woman spoke. "It should work the same."

Exhaling sharply, Ada looked to the woman with large wide eyes. "No… this can't be…" She released a whimper as pain coursed through her. She dropped to her knees as her body convulsed, becoming amorphous, seeping onto the floor. "You… can't win…" Each work she spoke resulted in whimpers of pain. "I'm… Ada… Wong… Not you…" She released a groan as the thick white residue of what was once her body became coated in icicles, freezing over.

The woman sighed. "You were nothing but another cheap knock off." Using her trademark fan kick, Ada Wong destroyed the remains of Kim Han, another victim of bio terrorism. Straightening out, the sphinx tucked a stray of raven hair behind her ear, "One less clone to worry about."

She slipped a small disk from her pocket, "Now to take care of her mess." Catching eye of the whimpering puppy cowering behind the couch, she approached and picked him up. "That's a good boy" she said as she tucked the disk in his collar.

Charles huffed as he entered the apartment. "The sirens are getting closer. We need to go." He moved toward Leon and slipped his hands underneath the blonde's arms, lifting him up with a grunt. "Put the mutt down and move your ass." With another grunt he dragged the unconscious male away.

Ada gave another sigh, "And so it begins."

That's all folks. Any thoughts for this chapter? Forgive me if you think it's too short. As for the writer's block, well it's still there but hopefully with the new story it won't be as bad. Till next time! I'm off to find something to do for my birthday. Feel free to add me on Facebook, just let me know and I shall send you my name.
