"No." She said panicking. "No, get up, get off me." "Get off me!" She pushed him off of her, got up and started collecting her clothes as quickly as she could. John put on his boxers and followed her as she dressed.

"Kacey come here." He said

"No."

"Baby-

"No, stop that." She said interrupting him. "Stop it, please."

He noticed she had tears in her eyes. "Kacey, what's wrong?"

"Nothing." She sniffed. She went for the door.

"Kacey don't go."

"I have to."

"Stay." He stopped her.

"Is it because of Kori?" "I love her to."

"I have to go." "I can't do this." She left.

Kacey went back to her room, packed her bags and booked the red eye home.

The next day she went over to Gia's house.

"What's wrong?" Gia asked.

"I was on the road with John last night." "We were in his room and just finished having sex." "Gia, he told me he loved me."

"Wow." She said surprised. He did.

"Yeah." She said sadly

"That's a good thing."

"It's a disaster."

"Why?" "I know you love John."

"I can't love John and he can't love me."

"Why?"

"It's John, it's me and John." "We can do that." "If it doesn't work out it would kill me."

"Or it could be the best thing to ever happen to you."

"That's what I thought about Max and look what happened." "I loved Max." "You know I didn't want the divorce."

"I know."

"I can't with John." "I can't."

That night John and Randy were having a beer.

"Has Kacey called you?" Randy asked.

"No." John said depressed. "I knew it was a mistake to tell her I loved her."

"No it wasn't." "You should've done it a long time ago." "Try talking to her again."

"It's pointless."
