Chapter 5: Race Me Inside

Kara Suman Hamilton.

"Yo, don't say it."

"I did not say anyzing, mon amie"

"Yeah, but you were sayin' it with ya eyes."

"What? Jes because I vas correct, jou get all upset?"

"Uh, fellas, could we maybe please not fight? We're all in the same boat here."

The three knuckleheads were standing in a very, very, very long line at the discount Tickets booth.

"I told him to buy ze teekets in advance and yet here we are!" cried Laf.

"Yo, alright, I'm boutta go off on you!" threatened Herc.

"Oui?"

"Yeah!"

"OUI!?"

"YEAH!"

"OUI!?"

"Mrow."

Ciel licked Herc's face, causing the large man to giggle.

"Kara!" Jon's eyes lit up as he hugged his friend. "Finally another level head!"

"Good to see you too Jon. Laf, Herc, bring it in!" Kara beamed.

They all hugged, (which was kind of awkward while holding a kitten in your hand) messing up the line much to the annoyance of the discount ticket patrons.

"Now what were you guys getting all punch-each-other-in-the-face-y about?"

"Hercules?" said Lafayette as he nudged the larger man. Herc blushed a bit, clearly embarrassed by what he'd done. After a bit of silence it all spilled out of him.

"I was sposed to get the tickets and I sorta forgot soooo now we kinda gotta stand in line a couple hours for nosebleed seats," he explained.

"Pfft, no you don't," Kara smirked confidently. At this point Ciel had comfortably perched himself on top of her head.

"What do you mean?" they all asked simultaneously.

She waved 5 tickets in front of their faces.

"Read it and weep, nerds!"

"Yoo, premium orchestra seats!" screamed Herc, turning the heads of those in line.

"Kara how'd you get these?" Jon asked in that sweet way that he said everything.

"Duhh, money!" she winked and stuck out her tongue as she held one of the gold coins in front of her face.

"HEY!" screamed one of the poor people in line. "That's not fair, give me one of those tickets! I've been here for an hour!"

"YEAH GIMME ONE TOO!" screamed another.

"HEY NO FAIR!"

"I WANT THOSE COINS!"

"GIVE ME YOUR CAT!"

This was not the kind of attention that Kara wanted. She was caught completely off guard and was being completely surrounded by jealous irate ticket thieves. She hugged Ciel close to her chest and braced for the worst.

BAM!

Like a flash of blue lightning, something happened that knocked the crowd back. Kara opened her eyes and saw that it was . . ALEX! He had punched away the thieves! Oh and also Burr was with him.

"Daddy!" Kara cried gladly.

"How about you guys pick on someone your own size? No one's is going to hurt a young girl in front of Alexander Hamilton!"

"L-let's get out of here!" one of them screamed as the rest scattered.

"Are you alright Kara?" asked Alex as he helped her up.

"Y-yeah," she blushed. "Listen when I called you Daddy, it's just because you reminded me of my-"

"Say no more, Kara. It's perfectly fine. I kinda see myself as the dad of this group anyway. Let me give you a little bit of dad advice, people who don't have anything will always be jealous of people who do. Besides, it's a cute nickn-ohhhh who is this little cutie?"

"Mrow."

"Wha- OH! This is Ciel! He's my kitty!" she explained as she held Ciel to Alex's face.

"BAHAHA, his tongue is like sandpaper!" Alex laughed.

"Yes. Charming," Burr sneered sourly, unmoved by anything that just happened. "I believe we have a show to get to."

"OH YEAH," bellowed Herc, ploughing through the group. "LAST ONE TO THEIR SEAT'S A ROTTEN ROYALIST!"

"How juvenile," sneered Burr.

"Oui, I agree...but je am no royalist! Eat my dust, mon amie!" cried Laf as he sprinted off.

Alex playfully grabbed Kara's hand.

"Let's go!" he shouted as they ran off together, laughing.

"Wah-hey! Guys! Don't leave me, wait uuuup!" cried Jon as he waved his arms around.

Burr was thoroughly unimpressed by the childish display. He would walk to the theater thank you very mu-

"Oh hey Burr," Kara called out as she and Alex ran hand-in-hand to the theater. "Only had five tickets! Looks like you'll have to buy your own, but don't worry, it looks like the line's gone down!"

"BAHAHAHAHAHA!"
