The next week Kacey and John were at home. They'd just got done eating breakfast and went into the living room. Kacey set up the laptop. They were waiting on a call from Kori who was at Max's. The Skype ring went off. She pressed the button to connect. Kori popped up on the screen.
"Hi mommy, hi John." Kori said.
"Hi." Kacey said.
"Hi." John said.
"Did you have fun at the movie last night?"
"Yeah." Kori said. "We're going to the zoo today."
"How fun."
"Keke, Keke." Kacey and John heard from off camera.
"Is that Nick?" Kacey asked.
"Yeah." Kori said. "Nick come here." She picked him up.
"Say hi to my mommy and John."
"Hi." He said waving.
"Hi." Kacey said.
"Kori have you seen your brother?" Max said off camera.
"He's in here with me." Kori said.
"It's time for his bath." "Will you bring him here please?"
"Yeah." "I'll be right back." She got up coming back a few seconds later.
"He's getting big." John said.
"Yeah." "I have to go to the other bathroom and take a shower."
"Ok." Kacey said. "Remember mommy and John can't talk to you tonight because we're out to dinner."
"I know."
"We love you."
"I love you too." "Bye."
"Bye."
Later that night Kacey and John were at one of their favorite restaurants.
"Before Kori left, I told her something and she's really excited about it." John said. "I hope you'll be just as excited about it.
"What are you talking about?"
"Close your eyes."
"Why?"
"Just do it." She did. About ten seconds passed. "Ok open."
When she opened her eyes, she was shocked to see John on one knee, holding out a ring box, with a beautiful ring inside. "Yes." She said.
He smiled. "Can I ask first?"
"Go ahead."
"When we met I never guessed I'd be doing this one day." "Now I love you and Kori more then anything in the world." "Kacey, will you marry me?"
"Yes." He put the ring on her finger. They kissed. "I love you."
