The sun was shining brightly during a beautiful morning in the city of Bugdom.
Gina was sound asleep with a smile on her face, petting her cat mealybug pet Kevin. Just then, a door was knocked. Opening her eyes, Gina yawned as she petted Kevin, who woke up.
"Good morning, Kevin!" Gina cheered.
Kevin meowed in greet, and purred at Gina.
When the door kept being banged loud, she said,
"I'm gonna eat breakfast and get the door. Get your breakfast eaten, It's right over there!"
As Gina pointed at Kevin's catfood plate, Kevin meowed, and started eating his breakfast and drinking water.
Right after breakfast, Gina opened the door, and there stood a male black widow spider.
"Hello, I'm Gina; what's your name?"
The male black widow spider gave a gentle smile and said,
"Hello, Gina. My name is Reginald, Rosie's brother.
Gina popped her eyes in delight.
"Wow, you're my mom's brother?" she said in awe.
Blushing, Reginald nodded and replied,
"Sure I am, and by the way, you're my niece, aren't you?"
He smoothed Gina's cheeks in an embrace, and she nodded with a giggle.
"Okay, then! I'll go wake my parents up. Be right back, uncle Reggie!" Gina said as she made her way to her parents bedroom.
Reginald suddenly blushed again, but still smiled. How was he called "Uncle Reggie"? He didn't care, because he knew that Gina was her niece and he was her uncle.
"Mom! Dad! Come on, my uncle's here, wake up!" Gina hollered as she ran to her parents' bedside.
Rosie was moaning in her sleep, while Dim was also asleep and snoring.
"Gina, honey! Can you go back to sleep?" Rosie asked in her sleep as she stirred.
"Sweetheart, wake us up later..." Dim moaned in agreement between snores.
"But uncle Reggie's here, mom! Get up!" Gina urged as she tugged her mother by the shoulder.
Rosie moaned a bit loudly in her sleep and annoyance. In annoyance as well, Dim let out a loud snore. Gina felt annoyed, but she knocked onto Rosie's face, and her mother opened one of her eyelids.
"He's here!" Gina said as she stopped by the door of her parents' room. Moaning Rosie responded,
"Okay, honey. Mommy's up."
"Yay! A talk with uncle Reggie!" Gina cheered as she heads out back to Reginald.
Sleepily, Rosie yawned and she started to pet Dim, whom she faced, with a smile. Dim stopped snoring for a moment, and he lets out a lion-voiced yawn.
When Gina went back to the living room where Reginald sat, she told him,
"Mom is here with dad!"
Reginald smiled and went to his niece and smoothed her hair and a hairbow, and replied,
"D'aww, well said, Ginny!"
Then, he and Gina faced Rosie, along with Dim. Reginald stared at Dim, knowing that Rosie was his wife. He feels that Reginald doesn't like him, and is willing to do a rude remark on Dim.
"Uh, Rosie, can we have a talk?" Reginald asked.
Rosie blushed for a moment, stared at Dim who did the same, and she responded,
"Oh, sure thing, Reginald!" Rosie said, and told Gina with a smile, embracing her,
"Thanks for the reminder to us, honey."
Gina giggled as she faced Reginald who told her,
"Okay, lil' Gina, why won't you go play? Right after the talk, I'll give you a surprise for being welcome to our family."
Gina giggled again and cheered as she ran to her room,
"Thank you, uncle Reggie!"
Then, Rosie and Dim felt awed at that moment, and sat down for a conversation with Reginald. As they stared at Reginald's frowning expression, Rosie realized that he didn't like Dim.
"Reginald, what's with the face?" she asked her brother.
"Oh, uh— I just needed to know; you're that rhino beetle's wife, right?" Reginald asked in a stutter to his sister.
"Yes, he is, Reginald. And his name is Dim," Rosie responded a bit sternly while she was to trying to be nice.
Dim shuddered a little as shyness rose inside of him.
"And you better be nice to him, because he is Gina's father." Rosie continued.
Reginald lets out a sigh, and he nodded, replying,
"Okay, Rosie. I know that could startle your daughter."
"You should know that Gina's also your niece, Mr. Spider. You also heard what Rosie said," Dim said in agreement with Rosie.
Reginald blushed and was about to yell at him, but Rosie stopped him to be kind and show kind remarks to Dim.
Later...
As Dim, Rosie and Gina planned a sleepover for Reginald in one night. They gave him a mattress in the guest room.
Meanwhile, after bidding each other goodnight. Reginald was trying to sleep, but he couldn't stop thinking about Dim being Rosie's mate. But, he came up with a clever idea to set him off. When Reginald rubbed his eyes, as if he was having trouble sleeping, he went out of bed and took the airhorn with him.
Reginald checks for a room where Dim and Rosie are, he unfortunately went to Gina's room. His niece was asleep, sucking her thumb with her arms around Kevin, who was purring in her sleep. Reginald just smiled as he went to her bedside. He also smoothed Gina's hair, giving her a kiss on the forehead, putting special gift wrapped in a present next to her bed with a name-tag, and then Reginald left the room, closing the door behind.
Finally, he made his way to Rosie and Dim's room, where they are sleeping. He slowly approached to their bedside and close to the dreaming black widow spider. Reginald, with a small, comforting smile, smoothed his sister's face and body as Rosie moaned while stirring in her sleep. Reginald can also hear Dim's soft snoring. Covering his hearing, Reginald got his airhorn ready, and went behind the sleeping rhino beetle. He leaned the airhorn next to Dim's antenna, and blared it loud!
Startled, Dim yelped and Rosie screamed as well. They looked at Reginald, who had the airhorn in his hands. Dim whimpered very shyly, as Rosie reassured him. Then, she turned to Reginald with a frown and said,
"Reginald!"
They heard Gina's whimpering and scuttling to her parents' room.
"Mom? Dad? Uncle Reggie? What's going on?" she asked shyly.
"Oh, sorry, your uncle is trying to set your father off," Rosie said.
"What? I would never do that!" Reginald chuckled embarrassingly.
Dim didn't say anything as he agreed with Rosie.
Reginald sighed, and said,
"I'm sorry, guys. I didn't mean it."
"Apology accepted; you better not do that next time," Rosie added.
Dim nodded, and sighed a little.
Hours later...
As Rosie and Dim helped Reginald place Gina back in bed, he nuzzled Gina on the face, smoothing her cheeks, and kissed her on the forehead. Then, Reginald thanked Dim and Rosie, and they bid each other goodnight.
As Rosie and Dim headed back for bed, they yawned together. Dim was asleep and snoring, smoothing Rosie's abdomen with his foot; Rosie was also asleep, moaning softly, rubbing Dim's foot with her hand.
