Author's Note: I couldn't leave them without some form of smut. And I'm fond of Raven/Hank/Alex, so couldn't resist slipping a reference to it in here (if you don't like, don't worry, it's only implied). Enjoy!
"Good morning Professor," Erik spoke smugly.
"Good morning Erik," he replied, shifting onto his side to smile warmly at the metal bender.
"How did you sleep?"
"Very well," he replied honestly. "But then, I was relaxed," he added with a grin. He got a shark-like smile in response. "Did you sleep well?"
"Very," he answered, stroking a finger down the back of Charles' hand. "Are you feeling guilty about Moira?" he asked, voice soft.
"No."
"Charles," he chided.
"All right, a little," he huffed. "I know it was necessary, I had already decided to do it before you made the suggestion."
"You had?"
"Yes. If we're truly going to make this into a safe haven for our kind, our first defence will be secrecy."
"And she isn't one of us."
"Erik-"
"I am not saying that humans cannot be loyal, or support our kind Charles. But the fact remains, that without being a mutant, or having a loved one who is a mutant, our cause is less likely to be theirs."
"And?" he murmured, expression expectant.
"And Moira only came to you in the first place for vindication." Charles opened his mouth. "It is true that she was happy to fight fire with fire, but she only came here with us because her agency wouldn't agree with her that Shaw was a threat. If they had not only agreed, but given her full resources to handle him, she would have dropped us in a second."
"A harsh evaluation," Charles murmured.
"But you cannot argue with me."
"No," he agreed. "And I will let go of my guilt, I just need a little time."
"Shall I distract you?" he asked with his trademark smile.
"What do you have in mind?" the telepath asked with a smile.
"Raven and Alex seem to be helping Hank come to terms with his new appearance," Erik remarked casually.
"They do," he agreed.
"Perhaps this is how it was meant to play out," Erik murmured. Charles' expression filled with curiosity. "By Raven going to Alex and being well-received in her true skin, Hank became more determined to find his cure, which brought him to his own true self."
"And Raven and Alex could help him to accept himself for all that he is meant to be," Charles finished.
"I'm not just saying it to make you feel better Charles," he stated. "The moment Hank knew about Raven's mutation, his cure would have been his driving idea, and it was always going to end with him being like this. Through your encouragement, Raven and Alex gained some happiness, and they shared it with Hank. If you hadn't suggested she turn to Alex, events between them could have unfolded very differently."
"True," he murmured linking their fingers together.
Erik glanced at the clock. "You're an early riser Professor."
"Always have been," he admitted.
"We have some time before the children wake up," he murmured temptingly. Charles' lips parted and Erik closed the distance between them to plunder the telepath's mouth. The younger man moaned. 'Do you want to play Charles?'
'Don't tease,' he responded, pulling back to breathe.
Erik let several ideas fill his mind. 'Any objections?'
'Absolutely none,' he responded, and even his mental voice sounded breathy.
Erik grinned wickedly and rolled so the telepath was beneath him. He pinned the younger man's wrists above his head, and a flex of his gift soon had them bound by the bars of the metal headboard. Charles let out a breathy moan. "You are perfect Charles," he murmured as his gaze flicked over the telepath's form appreciatively.
"Don't tease, Erik, please," he panted.
"I was going to tease you a little Charles," he murmured with a deliberate look at the clock on the bedside table, "but we don't have that much time." He plunged two fingers into the telepath's hole. Charles moaned. "Oh good, you're still loose from last night," he spoke smugly as he added a third finger. Charles blushed. "You must know more about sex than any other person except another telepath, and yet you blush," he added with a shark-like smile.
"Knowing and experiencing are two different things," he spoke, voice slightly breathy.
"Am I getting to you Professor?" he drawled as he crooked his fingers and grazed the younger man's prostate.
"Don't tease," he panted.
"Read my mind and I will," he retorted. Charles connected their minds and the metal bender's thoughts sent him over the edge. "That's it Charles," he purred, stroking so the telepath's pleasure began to crest again. "I love when your mind touches mine," he murmured, picturing what he'd do to the younger man if they had the time.
'Erik,' Charles moaned, hips shifting needily.
"What do you want Charles?"
"I want you in me," he panted.
"Come now Professor, be specific." Charles sent him a clear picture of Erik taking him roughly. "That will do, this time," he added with a predatory smile before he plunged into the telepath in a single stroke. He set a hard, fast pace, knowing that not only could the telepath take it, but that he truly was eager for it.
It didn't take long before they both went over the edge, satisfaction filling Erik as he spilled his seed deep within Charles – particularly when his telepath moaned at the feel of it.
He held himself aloft on slightly shaky elbows, panting hard. A flex of his will, and Charles' wrists were released. "I love how you react to my touch Charles," he drawled with his shark-like smile.
The younger man ran his fingers through Erik's hair. "And I love how eager you are to touch me," he responded. 'Kiss me Erik.'
Erik dipped his head for a kiss. As he got lost in the feel of claiming his telepath's mouth, Charles rolled them over. When Erik pulled back, he found himself on his back, with Charles astride his hips, his hardening shaft still within his telepath. "We have time yet for another round, don't we Erik?" Charles asked with a wicked smile.
"Whatever you want Charles," he replied. "Just make sure to leave the time, in case we have the urge in the shower."
Charles shivered and clenched around the metal bender. "What you do to me, Erik," he breathed.
"It's mutual Charles," he responded. He settled back with his shark-like smile, more than content to let his telepath act on whatever desires he chose. And he would keep the memory of this moment close today, to tide him over until he could touch his telepath again. He never grew tired of it, and he doubted he ever would. They were made for each other, and they both knew it.
'That we do,' Charles agreed and leant down for a kiss. He slipped his tongue into Erik's mouth, tangling with the metal bender's own as a prelude to what he had planned. He would make the most of the time they had – before they had to face their day – and would ensure they both enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Now and always.
