"Come on!", shouted Jack as he swung and struck out for the second time. "Stop throwing curveballs ya lowsy pitcher!", yelled Jack. "Hey don't blame the pitcher for your bad swing Carter.", replied Jo with a smirk. "Come on sweetie you got this!", yelled Allison shooting Jack a big smile and a thumbs up. Jo wound up and pitched a fast ball through the air right towards Jacks bat. He swung with all his might as the wooden bat met the ball sending it flying. As the ball headed towards left field Fargo knew he had to either catch the ball or get out of the way fast. Unfortunately he didnt have time to decide when he saw it careening toward him. The crack was heard through the field as the ball collided with Fargo and his head hit the ground. Everyone was shocked for a second with their mouths hung open in horror. Suddenly they sprung into action. Jo got to him first. She didnt know what to do she was so stunned. Fargo was completely limp and a gash above his right eyebrow was bleeding profusely. Zane ran up behind her as quick as he could. "Oh my gosh...", he said as he knelt down to check Fargos pupils. "What is going on. Why cant I remember where I am. Is that Jo and Zane? Are they in my room? No that would be to weird. Unless something happened, my head does hurt worse than anything ive ever felt. Yea im probably dying.", Fargo said in his head. He tried so hard to fight to conciousness but he felt like he was in some kind of deep dark abyss he couldnt climb out of. Even though he knew he wasnt thinking clearly at all considering he didnt even know where he was and couldnt remember anything, he was really scared. And more than that, the pain that was coming from his forehead clouded his thoughts and kinda made him wish he would just die so it would stop. Allison came running with Jack up to the scene. "His pupils are uneven. Definately a severe concussion!", Zane reported to Allison as she took his place being the only real doctor there. "I need something to use to apply pressure and someone call an ambulance!", Allison said with a shaky voice trying to stay calm. She is usually an expert at keeping it together, but this was different. "Here use this rag. I already called 911, their on their way.", Jack said to Allison. "I didnt mean to im...im sorry..", he said. She gave him a soft smile that said it wasnt his fault. As Allison applied the rag to Fargos forehead he started to stir. He let out a painful groan. "Fargo?", said Jo. He didnt respond. It was clear that he didnt understand what was going on. He could hear voices that seemed close yet muffled and distant. With the increasing pain it was hard to stay in touch with reality. He tried to lift his hand to his head to find out that moving at all was a bad idea. He groaned again from the excruciating pain that had caused. "Fargo, its ok were here. Youre going to be alright.", said Allison sweetly. He cracked open his eyes but quickly closed them when the bright sunlight sent a peircing pain through his skull. "Do you know where you are Fargo?", asked Jack. "I dont...dont..know. My..head..hurts..", he replied very slowly and slurred. The others looked at each other with looks of concern. Allison stroked his hair. "I know. Youre going to be fine we'll take care of you Fargo.", she said softly. They all knew he was in pain and it scared them that he didnt know where he was. "Come on where is that ambulance!", Zane grumbled. Finally the medics arrived. They rolled a guerney onto the field up to where they were and knelt down next to Fargo. "Hello Dr. Fargo can you hear me?.", asked a medic. No response. "Ok hes unresponsive. Lets get him on the gourney.". Jack and Zane helped lift him up as Allison and Jo stood back and watched. "Come on guys lets meet them at G.D. we can take my jeep.", said Jack to the others. The ambulance sped away as Jack, Zane, Allison and Jo all piled into Carters jeep. They followed behind the ambulance on the way to Global when it suddenly pulled over to the side. Jack pulled up behind and got out to see what was going on. He opened the back of the ambulance to see the 2 medics holding down Fargo who was seizing. His body was convulsing violently and his eyes were rolled back. The others were soon behind Jack, watching in disbelief. "Whats going on whats happening?", asked Jo who was shaking slightly. Zane pulled her in and looked away. He couldnt watch anymore and didn't think Jo could either. Jack did the same with Allison as she choked back the tears. After what felt like days Fargos body had stopped seizing. "Ok we got to get him to G.D. now!", said a medic as everyone piled back in the jeep. As they were speeding down the road they passed Cafè Diem. People around were talking and all wondered what had happened. "I texted Jo, apparently there was an accident during the baseball game today. Its Fargo. I think its pretty serious, ive never heard Jo like that before, she seemed really shaken up.", Vincent told all of the curious customers of Cafè Diem, which he considered his duty being the eyes and ears of Eureka. Back in the jeep everyone was silent. Zane was holding Jo and Allison stared out the window. "Can't they drive any faster!? Come on!", Jo said hitting the seat in front of her. "Don't worry Jojo. We'll get there soon. Fargos gonna be fine, hes strong.", Zane said seriously. "This is all my fault. Don't say it's not because you know it is Allie.", Jack said eyes focused on the road. "Well its not your fault Jack. And he will be alright. I promise ok.", Allison replied reaching for his hand. "If I hadnt pressured him to come. I just thought he could get his mind off of Hollys death. Shes been gone almost a month now and I thought he needed to be around his friends and now I might've killed him!". Jack said in his normal angry and quick tone. "DONT say that. Hes going to be fine. Lets just get to G.D.", said Jo from the backseat. They were pulling up to G.D. when the ambulance stopped ubruptly about 60 feet from the main entrance. "Why did they stop there?", Zane wondered out loud. "Oh no. He must have started seizing again." Allison said almost panicked as she jumped out of the jeep. The others followed and watched as one of the medics opened up the back of the ambulance and jumped out. "He started seizing again so we had to stop.". "Thats what we thought. Oh and he has severe anemia which is probably why the wound is bleeding so profusely.", Allison replied to the medic. "Is there anything we can do?", asked Jack. "You can all follow us to the infirmary. Can someone run ahead and get the elevator!". "On it!", Zane said as he ran inside. Jack and Jo helped them bring the stretcher out of the ambulance. Fargos baseball t-shirt was seaped in blood. There was an oxygen mask over his mouth and his hair was all ruffled up which in another situation would have been comical. The gash on his forehead was swollen and blueish purple. Jo held his hand as they hurried through the building. People cleared the way and looked towards them in curiosity. There were whispers and looks of shock from seeing their boss on the stretcher being rushed to the infirmary. In no time they met Zane and anxiously stood in the elevator which took what felt like hours to reach the floor. Time stood still for a moment before the doors opened. Allison looked down at Fargo as she squeezed his hand. He didnt look like the Fargo they knew which scared them. It was weird seeing him so still. Not making little jokes or quirky comments that made him who he was. They all felt like they didnt take him for granted. Maybe they made fun of him a little to much. Or maybe they didnt appreciate his kindness and caring qualities. He was really very sweet and was always thinking of others. They got to see that more when Holly was around. She made him smile throughout the day. It was hard not to see how in love they were, and they were all happy for him. He deserved to find love. But seeing Fargo lying there, they were afraid he would give up if he had no one to live for. They hoped they were enough and that he knew how much they cared about him. Allison stroked his cheek and let a tear fall. As they got out of the elevator they hurried to the infirmary where a team was ready and prepped for their arrival. Jack, Allison, Jo, Zane, and now Henry, stood back and watched as doctors and nurses blocked the view of their friend. Beeping and panicked voices flooded the room. Fargo was half awake trying to crawl back into the unconscious abyss where he felt less pain. But it was the pain that kept him in and out of sleep. He was delirious, "Holly!", Fargo yelled for her. The hurting and confusion scared him. He could here panicked voices and felt the neverending pain increase. He knew Holly would keep him safe. He needed her. He called for her again, grabbing the side of the bed tightly out of pain. "What happened?", asked a worried Henry. "At the game..I hit a fastball and um..", Carter paused. "It went careening into Fargos forehead.", Zane said bluntly, continuing for Jack. "How bad is it?", Henry asked. "Well, he was mostly unresponsive and was showing signs of a severe concussion...on the way here he had 2 seizures and I think hes in a lot of pain. The gash on his forehead is having a hard time clotting so theres been a lot of blood.", Allison said trying not to think about the words she was saying. Henry ran a hand down his face and sighed. "I...uh..wow.", Henry said wide eyed and speechless. About 10 minutes passed when the head medical doctor on staff walked over to the worried group of friends. "Well hes somewhat stable. He sufffered a blunt force trauma to the head and his skull was fractured. Luckily as far as we can tell there is minimal damage to his brain and as you probably guessed he sustained a pretty severe concussion. Were prepping for surgery now to repair the fracture. Sit tight and take a breath. These are some of the best doctors in the world." They looked at each other with concern and worry. "Come on, lets go wait in the upper surgery observatory.", Jo said to the group. The room was small and had a large window overlooking a medical room with a table and some advanced looking equipment. They sat and waited for Fargo and the medical staff to pile into to the room below. "Do you think he'll be alright Jack?", Allison asked with worry. "Oh yea. I mean it's Fargo, hes a fighter. Remember when he trapped himself in that forcefield and Jo had to shoot him with that fish gun thing that stopped his heart.", Jack said as they all chuckled at the memory. "Yea or when he was turning into a mummy and Henry and I had to cryo-freeze him. Poor Fargo has had his fair share of near death experiences.", Allison said as the group chuckled. "I did kinda like shooting him though.", Jo said with a big smile. The group laughed and felt a little more at ease. "Hes been trying to hard to be strong since Holly. I've tried to reach out but it's hard for him right now. Maybe it's to soon though. He just needs time. And his friends.", Henry said with a slight smile looking around the room. "I know. That day that we pulled you guys out of the matrix and I told Fargo about Holly..he was so shocked. He just broke down on the ground. Since then though he hasnt opened up at all. He lost both his parents when he was young and I think he just doesnt want to go through that again. He probably thinks if he just pushes us and the thought of her away, that he can just forget it ever happened. ", Jo said to the group. "Yea ive never seen him so happy then when he met Holly. Those two were in love. I just hope he knows that were all here for him.", Zane added. At that moment, a doctor and a nurse entered the room below as some other medical staff brought Fargo in on a guerney. As they began the surgery everyone couldnt help but think of more memories with their friend. Jo thought more about that day when she had to tell Fargo that holly had died. "Holly's probably worried sick", he had said. She looked at Allison knowing she had to tell Fargo. "Lets go for a walk", she said. "I dont think so, my legs arent workin so well right now.", he replied still smiling. "I know...I'll hold you up." She replied. He looked in her and Allisons eyes and his smile began to fade. He put his arm around her shoulders and they walked outside. "Fargo...Holly didnt make it. Shes gone Fargo im so sorry.", was all she knew to say. He looked at her taking a step back. She held onto his arm as tears formed in his eyes. "What...but Jack said..", "He was just trying to get you guys out. Fargo I..". Fargo slowly fell to his knees as he still held onto her. People stared but neither of them cared. She struggled to hold back the tears. "What do I do Jo?" He said through a few tears, running a hand through his hair in disbelief. Jo knelt beside him. She had never seen him cry before. Not once. Jo felt tears welling up when she remembered how they sat there for awhile as she stayed by his side. Zane thought about the same day. After getting Carter out of the matrix he looked around for Jo. Taking careful steps and leaning on whatever he could find, he made his way outside. He looked ahead to see Jo walking with Fargo. He had forgotten for a moment that Holly was gone. He then watched as Fargo broke down, falling to his knees in despair. He felt awful. Zane wished there was something he could do. He didnt know how though. It was scary, he'd never seen that side of Fargo and wished he knew what to do. Later that day the whole astraeus crew was in the infirmary getting checked out. Most of the crew had finished their physicals and there werent many people in the infirmary that night. Zane looked over to see Fargo sitting on one of the beds with his legs swung over the side. He looked beat. His eyes were weary and he looked almost limp. He was picking at a peice of string on his shirt when Zane walked over. Fargo looked up slightly. "Hey Fargo, how ya doin?", Zane said worried. "I let her down. She...I..", Fargo couldn't finish as the tears flooded his eyes. "I know, its ok. Its ok.", Zane said as he wrapped his arms around Fargo. Zane would deny it if anyone asked of course. But he comforted his friend that night. He let him cry as he held his friend tight. As Zane looked down into the room at Fargo, he realized how much he valued their friendship. He never had a lot of friends, but Eureka changed that. And now one of his closest friends could die. Allison thought of the time Fargo had been there for her. It had only been a little while since Nathans death and she was sitting on the couch looking at a picture of him when Fargo walked into her office one evening. Tears streaked her face. "Oh im sorry. Are you okay?", he asked sympathetically. "No not really.", she replied. "Right, dumb question.", he said as he walked a little closer. "You know, the week before the wedding, we were working on a project in the particle accelerator lab when he just started smiling. I asked him why he was randomly smiling while rerouting a fusion curcuit. He said it was because he was thinking about how he gets to marry the most beautiful, intelligent, mesmerizing, and caring woman on the planet. He loved you more than anything Allison. And you loved him. Even in death, nothing can ever break that or take that away.", Fargo said as he sat down next to her and held her hand. She put her head on his shoulder and let the tears fall. He had helped her when she felt helpless, and now there was nothing she could do for him except pray. Henry thought about one day in his garage when him and Fargo were working on a particle colision reactor coil. It was a while after they had entered the alternate timeline and they were talking about all that had changed. "So you barely even knew Grace, and now she's your wife?", Fargo asked. "Pretty much", replied a mildly stressed Henry. "Well, I can imagine how difficult that must be, especially what you just went through with Kim. But you know what I think? I think that this could be the best thing that ever happened to you.", Fargo said with a soft smile. "What do you mean?", Henry asked curiously. "Well, I think if other you fell in love with Grace, you will to. You kinda seem like your..made for each other.", he replied as they still both worked on the device. Henry looked up at Fargo a little surprised. The alternate timeline was hard for everyone involved and Henry had been feeling a little hopeless. But when Fargo said what he did about Grace, it gave him a new perspective. "Thanks. Your a good friend Fargo.", Henry said with a smile. It was hard to think of Fargo like that when he looked so lifeless now. He just watched the surgery carefully and watched Fargos chest rise and fall. Jack thought of one day in particular. Him and Fargo were walking by a lab in section 3 when an explosion peirced their ears. They ran in to find 3 unconcious global personel. Flames erupted throughout the room. He had expected Fargo to have run away in fear, but he followed Jack in grabbing one of the scientists who needed help. He took off his jacket and put it over one womans head as he pulled her out. Jack was impressed with his thinking and copied his actions on a man in the corner. Allison was there in seconds with a medical team. Before Jack could tell her that there was one more person in there, Fargo had already went back inside the room engulfed in flames. "Fargo!", Jack yelled when Fargo didnt return as quickly as he shouldve. Seconds later he came out carrying a man over his shoulder as he put him on the closest guerney. Carter and Fargo both stood coughing, trying to catch their breaths as others tried to put out the flames and Allison treated the victims. Jack saw Fargos hands had bad burns covering his skin. "Fargo your hands. You'd better get to the infirmary.", Carter said as he put a hand on Fargos shoulder. "Alright. I'll head up there in a second. They need help before I do.", Fargo said motioning towards the 3 scientists being rolled away. Jack was surprised to see this side of Fargo he'd never witnessed. Looking at Fargo he could tell he tried to hide how painful his burns were. He had gone into that room without any hesitation. He had put near strangers before himself when he went in there and was doing it again now in letting them get help before him. Fargo was much more brave, and more selfless than he thought or really ever gave him credit for. But now he hoped Fargo could be tough like he had been that day with the fire. He hoped that that bravery was still in him after everything. The five of them were brought out of their thoughts by a ringing coming from Jo's PDA. "Lupo. Hi Vincent. Yea hes in surgery now, I'll let you know how it turns out. Ok bye.", Jo said hanging up. 30 minutes passed as they all watched carefully, not taking their eyes off where the surgeon was working. The only word spoken was when Larry brought them all coffee. "He'll pull through.", said Larry sympathetically to the group. They just nodded with hope and worry. After another half hour the surgery was finally done. As Fargo was rolled out of the room, the others made their way back down to the infirmary. As soon as he saw the surgeon, Carter went over to him as the others followed. "How is he?", Jack asked not really wanting to hear the answer, assuming it had to be bad because its Eureka. The doctor just smiled at the group of concerned faces. "You all can relax, the surgery was very successful. There was some bleeding between his skull and his brain, but not to worry, we were able to drain it completely. His brain as we hoped is not permanently damaged. Although, hes going to be in a lot of pain and because of the severity of the concussion he will most likely have a hard time speaking normally for a while. His words might be slow and/or slurred but thats normal so don't worry. We'll keep him here for a week or two and then he should be back to running this place in no time.". "Well were glad to hear it, thank you doctor.", Allison replied. "Can we see him?", asked Jack. "Of course, hes right over there behind that curtain there.", replied the doctor. The five friends walked over to the curtain and pulled it open, finding Fargo sleeping somewhat peacefully. They all pulled up chairs and sat by his bedside. He looked terrible. There were tubes in his nose, an iv and some other liquids and wires hooked up to him giving him medicine and providing readings and such. There was a large bandage on his forehead and bags under his eyes. "Hey Fargo.", Henry said patting his leg. "Were here for you buddy.", Jack said. They got to talking when about 10 minutes in, Fargo began to stir. "Fargo, can you hear me?", asked Allison. His eyes cracked open as he sighed softly. "Hey, how are you feeling?", Allison continued. He looked around with a confused look. "Well...I...don't...remember..", he said slowly. "Thats ok, just take your time. Remember the baseball game? You were hit in the head with a baseball pretty hard. You have a severe concussion and your skull was fractured. You just came out of surgery to fix that though. Youre going to be fine Fargo.", Allison explained. Fargo was kind of shocked and still confused, trying to put the peices together. "Listen Fargo im really sorry I shouldve", Fargo cut Jack off. "Its...okay. It..wasnt..your...fault". Carter relaxed a little. "Why...cant...I...", Fargo motioned to his mouth with fear looking at Allison. "Its common after a severe concussion, don't worry. That should go away in a day or so.", she replied. Fargo put a hand through his hair and sighed. "I..was..so..confused. It..was..so..painful..I..couldnt...think. Holly...she..was...I...thought...I..mean..I..forgot..she...", Jo put a hand on Fargo. "I know. It's ok.", she said. "Holly will always be with you Fargo. And we'll always be here to.", Allison added. Fargo smiled softly looking down. "Thanks..for...being...there. All..of..you.", Fargo said to his friends. They knew he didnt just mean today. "Fargo. Allison and I know what its like to lose the person you love. It's harder than anything you'll ever go through. The hard part is the pain of their memory never really goes away, but you can hold onto the love you shared, because that never goes away either.", Henry said. "Fargo you were there as a friend for both of us and all of us actually. You always have been. Just know that were here for you. We care about you.", said Allison as she held his hand. Fargo smiled at his friends. He couldn't help but close his eyes out of exhaustion. Soon he was fast asleep. "You know this year has been so tough on him. With Nathans passing. Fargos dad died when he was eight so Nathan kind of helped fill that void for him. And his grandfather coming back probably brought back some bad memories about his parents death. Then after the alternate timeline he had a lot of new responsibilities and burdons.", said Allison to the others as she kept an eye on Fargo. "Yea and then the stress of preparing for the astraeus mission and him and Zane almost dying in space. As if that wasnt enough he was ripped from his reality in the matrix and lost the love of his life. Fate can be unfair.", continued Jo. "He's strong. Or at least good at acting strong for the rest of us. I don't know how much more he can take.", said Jack. "Well all we can do is be there for him. Let him know we understand and that were here if he needs anything. Were his family.", said an uncharacteristically sympathetic Zane. "Were a great family, im happy to be apart of it.", Henry said with his classic grin. The others all smiled at that. They looked at each other in a way that said "me to". "How about we go back to the virtual reality baseball team.", Allison said with a chuckle. "No! Its not the same!", Jack continued as they laughed and talked through the night. When it got late Henry suggested they all go home and get some sleep. Jo kissed Fargos cheek and whispered goodnight. Allison stroked his arm and squeezed his hand and said "sweet dreams.", before leaving with Jack. Zane patted his friend on the shoulder as he got somewhat choked up which he prayed no one had noticed as he walked away with Jo. Henry patted him lightly on the leg and said goodnight as well. That night Fargo woke up at around 2 am to find an almost empty and quiet infirmary if not for a few nurses and the hum of the machines. Fargo thought to himself about how lucky he was. Not only did he just survive a critical head injury, but he had a home with friends. Holly was gone, and that wound would take a long time to heal. But he knew his friends would help him through it. He felt a sense of calmness. After a long time of feeling stressed and helpless, he finally felt the weight release off of his shoulders. He closed his eyes giving into sleep once more. The next morning at Cafè Diem, Zane and Jo walked over to Allison, Henry, and Jack. "Hey guys.", said Jo. "Hey Zane, Jo, did you hear?", Carter asked. "Hear what?", Jo said as they both looked at the group with fear. "Last night Fargo had some more seizures.", Jack said. "Apparently they thought they had stopped the bleeding between his skull and his brain but...as it continued it created inter cranial pressure.", Allison explained. "Oh my gosh are you serious?", Zane said wide eyed and angry. "Well what are we doing here lets go", said a very worried Jo. The group looked at each other and nodded. Jo and Zane drove together as did Allison and Jack. Jo leaned over to Zane who was driving, putting her head on his shoulder. "He doesnt deserve this. Fargo is a good person..he has done everything right!", Jo said upset. "Jo listen. I don't know why this is happening, and no he doesnt deserve this. But we can be there for him ok. And im gonna do everything in my power to make sure nothing happens to Fargo.", Zane said as he held her hand. Over in Jacks jeep Allison and Carter were having a very similar conversation. "Why. I mean in Eureka we find the problem. The problem gets a little worse, but then we solve the problem. And it usually stays solved!", Jack said getting a little worked up like he always does. "This isnt an antimatter generator malfunction, or a device that turns people to plasma jello. Its Fargo.", Allison said stroking Jacks arm. "Yea who has survived a lot! This isnt supposed to happen. People around here dont get hurt from something like a baseball especially not one hit by me! They get shot with some beam or teleported into a vat of green radioactive slime or something.", Jack continued. Allison chuckled a little at that. "True. Look I dont know why this had to happen to Fargo. But it did. And just like every other Eureka problem we will solve it. I promise.", Allison said comfortingly. Finally everyone arrived at G.D.. As the group walked into Global they went straight up to the infirmary, every one of them extremely anxious. Walking into the infirmary they went straight to Fargos bed. He looked worse than the night before. "Oh gosh", Jo said putting a hand over her mouth. Fargos bloody shirt was still on him. His face was flushed and his eyes were very weary. "Why has he not been changed to a fresh shirt?", Allison asked no one in particular. She walked over to the head of the bed as she started to pull up his shirt. "Here let me help.", Jo said as she put her hand on Fargos back and leaned him forward. Allison threw the bloodied baseball t-shirt to the side and grabbed a fresh white shirt from a stack on a shelf. She softly slid it over his head and then torso being careful of wires and iv's. They knew he wouldnt wake up considering the night must've been more than exhausting and he was probably on some sedatives. Just then the head doctor on staff came over to the group. "Hello. I was expecting you all this morning how are you?". "We're fine hows Fargo?", Zane asked the doctor bluntly. "Yes I noticed a bandage on his torso and arm what happened?", Jo asked. "Dr. Fargo is...not in good shape. The first seizure came as a shock last night. The nurses on staff reached him before the convulsions injured him further but he had already fallen out of bed hitting a cart on the way down. The wounds arent to deep though and will heal in a week or so. The intercranial pressure has been relieved we think for good. We drained the blood between his skull and brain and helped clot it. It seems to have stopped bleeding permanently but just in case were monitoring him constantly. Not to worry, the director is in the best care possible", finished the doctor. "Hes not just the director hes our friend.", Allison explained. "Of course my apologies.", the doctor said. They looked over at their friend. Zane put both his hands on either side of the bottom of the bed and hung his head. "What can we do?", asked Henry sorrowful. "He is not dying. I wont allow it not on my watch.", said Jo in the toughest way possible. "When do you think he'll wake up?", asked Jack to Allison. "Hopefully in a couple hours. Although with conditions like this patients can often fall into a coma.", she explained. They all shot each other looks of concern. That day they all went to work trying to keep their minds off of their friend. Each one of them would make excuses to go to the infirmary to check on him. It had now been 7 hours and he still didnt wake up. The group met at Cafè Diem that night like they always do minus 1 of course. They all stared at the empty chair that was meant for their friend. "Hi guys, anything I can get for you?", Vincent said sympathetically to the distressed looking group. "Herbal tea please.", Allison said. "I'll have the same.", said Jo. "I'll take a beer.", said Zane. "Me to.", said Henry and Jack in unison. "Of course.", said Vincent. Another day went by and Fargo still didnt wake up. Most co-workers understood. Some were frustrated with their lack of focus. They didnt care. How could they focus on anything when Fargo was in the state that he was. On the third day Larry approached Allison while she was working at her desk in the infirmary. "Ms. Blake? General Mansfield would like to speak with you.", he said with a sympathetic tone. "Me? Oh um..ok.". Larry walked her to Fargos office where General Mansfield was on the computer waiting. "Hello Ms.Blake. Listen im gonna cut right to the chase. Im having you take over as interim Director of G.D. starting now in light of Dr. Fargos unfortunate state.". "What!? But hes", the General cut her off. "Look Ms. Blake. I am sorry, I know hes your friend. But the D.O.D can't wait goodness knows how long for Dr. Fargo to wake up and until then we have important security matters and projects that need to be overlooked. Can the D.O.D depend on you Ms. Blake?". "Yes sir.", she replied before Mansfield ended the call. "Are you KIDDING me!? Its only been 3 days and they're acting like hes gone!", Allison said angrily. Larry just gave her a sympathetic look that said he felt the same. "Don't worry about them. Im here if you need anything.", Larry said as he left the office. Allison sat down and sighed. On the desk in front of her was a picture of Fargo kissing Holly on the cheek on a picnic next to lake Archimedes. She stared at the picture for a while as she let a tear or two fall. Through the door came Jack with his hands in his pockets. "You ok?", She hadnt even noticed him come in. "Oh hi Jack. Im alright. I was just thinking about Fargo.", she said wiping her cheeks. "Yea. I think we all are. I heard about you taking over for Fargo.", Jack said. "Im not taking over for him. Im just taking over his duties. And he'll be awake soon Jack and it will be fine.", Allison said surely. "I hope so.", Jack said. The next few days were rough for everyone. Fargo still hadnt woken up and had developed a mild infection where he hurt his side during one of the seizures. Jo and the others visited him often. The infection went from bad to worse and caused a fever they tried desperately to control. Jo dabbed Fargos forehead with a cold rag and wiped away the beads of sweat. Zane was walking along a hallway in section 3 when he was approached by Dr. Allman. "Zane wait up. I still havent gotten the fusion board for the auxiliary intake drive.", he said to Zane who had now stopped. Zane looked up from typing something on his tablet. "Fargo was working on it. And he'll finish it soon.", Zane said. "Look I know he was your friend but he may not", Zane cut him off. "Yea he is, and hes gonna be fine alright! Just lay off!", he said as he walked away. Dr. Allman threw his hands up in defeat and walked away. Jack was in his office remembering the day he hit the ball that went straight for Fargo. He watched from home base as the ball went straight toward him. He was about to yell "get out of the way!", but it happened so fast. When he got to him, Fargo looked so unnatural. A shiver went down his spine. There was so much blood he thought he'd killed him until he saw his chest rising and falling. He remembered what a blur that day was. Rushing and yelling and hearts racing. Being sheriff to a town like Eureka Jack was used to situations like this. But for some reason he felt like there was nothing that could have prepared him for this. "Carter!", Jo sorta yelled alerting Jack out of his thoughts. "What?", he replied. "You werent answering me. You ok?", she asked. "Oh yeah im fine. I was just...thinkin about that day. The day that I hit that fastball. I don't know I just can't shake it you know.", Jack explained. "I know what you mean. I keep going over it in my head. Sometimes things just happen. I can't explain it but all we can do is be there for him. Fargo one time told me after the alternate time line that life has a way of working itself out for the better. That fate is something we can't control but we can hold on to, knowing it will eventually lead us to something better.", Jo said with her hands folded leaning forward on her desk. "Well I hope hes right because I don't know what we would do without him around.", Jack said to Jo in the quiet and dim office. Later that night Henry walked into the infirmary to find everyone sitting next to Fargos bedside. "Ahh. I guess im not the only one who couldnt sit at home waiting.", Henry said with a smile. The others smiled, happy to see Henry. Allison replaced the cold rag on Fargos forehead with a fresh one. "The infection is healing which is good. These cold rags are helping bring his fever down as well as this cooling blanket.", Allison explained. They all just took a minute looking at their friend. He had dark circles under his eyes and his hair was disheveled. He was pale and beads of sweat dripped down his forehead and down his neck. "How can he look tired when hes asleep?", Jack asked rhetorically. "The fever induced some nightmeres. Its common but it sure can take it out of you. Even when your in a coma state.", said Allison. Jo began to put some cream on his face and neck shaving his beard. "Can you believe how quick his beard grows back? I have to do this every night.", Jo said as she focused on the razor. The others just watched as she carefully shaved. When she was done she combed his hair in its regular way. "There, much better.", Jo said setting the comb down. "You missed a spot.", Zane said with a big smile. "Shut up.", Jo said smiling as she punched Zane in the arm. The others laughed and smiled. Fargo could hear the distant voices of his friends. He didnt know where he was or where they were, but it made him feel safe. His mind was sunken into a dark deep rift. Confused as he was, he tried to crawl back to consciousness, but his body and mind were tired. He felt himself drifting and for some reason he couldn't figure out how to anchor himself back to reality. His brain felt hot and foggy. The nightmeres grew more and more terrifying. Senator Wen ripped out the wires that connected Holly to the matrix. Fargo tried to stop it. He ran up to her in an attempt to save her but it was to late. Everything dissapeared but Holly and the glowing blue bed she layed on. He fell to his knees squeezing her hand praying for a miracle. He cried and fell in the depths of despair once again. "His fever is spiking. I think hes having another nightmere.", Allison said. "I wish there was something we could do.", said Henry. Fargo tossed and turned. His face conveyed what could only be described as agony. His hair stuck to his forehead because of the sweat. "No stop!", Fargo said in his feverish coma. Suddenly machines beeped and Fargo opened his feverish bloodshot eyes. "Holly please! You have to save her!" He said as he leaned forward a little grabbing Allison who was closest. "Fargo!?". She said shocked. "Its alright. Its ok shh.", Allison said leaning him back down and stroking his hair. There was a heated glaze over his eyes that were unfocused and somewhat unaware. He was breathing a little heavy and felt a feeling of pure exhaustion. He felt closer to reality than before now but he couldnt grasp it. He was groggy and his mind was foggy. His eyesite was a red hot blur and he thought he heard someone saying his name but couldnt quite make it out. Allison pressed his head to the pillow as he closed his eyes once again. His breathing slowed and his heart rate fell to a healthier rythym. Everyone watched in shock and worry. "What just happened? Hes awake for good right?", Jo asked. "Yea I think so. He must have had such a vivid nightmere because of the fever that his mind was able to make its way back to consciousness.", Allison said to Jo and the group. "He looks like hes suffering. Is there anything we can do about the fever?", asked Jack. "Were doing everything we can. We just have to wait it out and hold his hand.", Allison said. The next few hours were hard. More nightmeres overtook him and chills wracked his body. The chaos calmed and for a while the infirmary became very quiet. They couldnt imagine what he was going through. Jack ran a hand down his face in exhaustion followed by his third vinspresso. "Were here Fargo.", was all he knew to say. They all soon fell asleep in their chairs. At about 1 am Zane opened his eyes when he felt something was off. He was shocked when he looked up to see an empty bed. For a second he panicked as he looked around. His eyes followed little drips of blood leading from the bed to Fargo who was leaned against the doorway breathing heavily. Zane jumped up and walked softly over to his friend. He put a hand under Fargos arm to make sure he didn't fall. "Fargo? You ok?", he asked. Fargo looked as if he didnt understand. He looked at Zane with sorrow. Zane saw the glaze over his bloodshot eyes. "I tried. I tried to save her.", Fargo said delirious. "I know. Im sorry Fargo.", Zane said as he walked him back to the bed. He helped him lay down and lightly shook Allison. "Hey Allison. Fargo tried to get up and he ripped out his iv's.", he explained quietly. "Ok thanks for waking me up. Its probably the fever hes just confused.", Allison said as she put the iv in Fargos arm. Zane got a wet rag and wiped up the blood that came from where the iv's were. "He was talking about how he couldn't save Holly.", Zane said. Allison shook her head in sympathy. Fargo looked to the side at nothing, his eyes half open with a scary blank look. Zane leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes. He made sure to hold Fargos hand in case he tried to get up again. Allison couldnt go back to sleep though so she decided to look after Fargo. Half an hour passed till his fever finally broke. She stroked his hair softly. "Allison?", Fargo whispered as he cracked open his eyes. "Hey Fargo. Your fever broke finally.", she replied with a warm smile. He took a deep breath and stared at the ceiling. "How are you?", Allison said putting her hand on his cheek. "Well ive been better. The whole thing is pretty fuzzy. By the way, why is Zane holding my hand?", Fargo asked. She laughed a little at that. "Well when your fever spiked you were delirious and tried to get up. In doing that you also ripped out your iv's so he was making sure you stayed put.", she explained. He looked at her and smiled. "You know what I just realized?", said Fargo. "What?", she said curious. "You and I were the only two people that went through the alternate timeline and were also trapped in the matrix. I mean technically Carter was in the matrix but he wasn't like kidnapped and taken from his reality like we were you know.", he said with a kind smile. "Yea I guess your right. You and I have been through a lot these past couple years huh.", Allison said sweetly as she leaned her head on his shoulder. He wrapped his arm around her and sighed. The friendship they had was special and grew through every traumatic event they went through. "Im really glad your awake Fargo. It hasnt been the same around here the past week. I have not liked being back in the big chair. That office and this whole place is better left in your hands Fargo.", said Allison. He smiled as they both stared at the stars through the far up skylight. They talked until Allison fell asleep still leaning on Fargo and his arm still keeping her warm. He fell asleep soon afterward at around 4 am. The early morning was peaceful and quiet. There was a sense of calm and warmth in the air throughout G.D.. Fargos eyes fluttered open to see his friends exactly how he'd seen them last. Allison still leaned on his shoulder to his left and Zane was to his right still holding his hand. Jo was inches from Zane with her head next to Fargos leg laid on the bed. Jack was to Fargos left near Allison with his feet propped up on the bed and Henry was at the foot of the bed snoring slightly. Fargo felt better than he had in a long time. He smiled as he sighed deeply. "I'll always love you Holly.", he said under his breath as he watched pinkish sunrise clouds roll by the skylight where he watched the stars just hours earlier. He looked at the people around him and counted himself incredibly lucky. He rested his eyes and softly laid his head back on his pillow. A very small smile still left on his face. As the others woke up they smiled looking at Fargo. He still looked like hed been through hell but the small smile on his face gave them relief. "He's going to be just fine. We all are.", said Jack. They were in no rush. Fargo was okay and thats all that mattered. They relaxed in their chairs and just sat content with each others company and the warmth of the day, Global could wait. Larry walked into the infirmary with 5 cups of vinspresso. The group all said goodbye to a still sleeping Fargo as they left the infirmary. Later that day Fargo woke up to a nurse changing his bandages. "Nice to see you awake Dr. Fargo, how are you feeling?", asked the sweet nurse. "Oh alright I guess. Just exhausted and my head kinda hurts.", he replied. "I'll increase your pain medication a little ok? Get some rest as well, I don't think you'll be leaving to soon if your friends have anything to say about it.", she said with a smile. He chuckled at that. "When can I go home at least?", he asked hopeful. He longed for his own bed or at the very least his living room couch. "Oh a day or so. Then again I hear you have some pull with the director so if you wanted to im sure you could finish your healing at home.", she said still smiling. He laughed weakly and replied, "Good point.". Later that day after some debate from the doctor, Allison and Jo, Fargo convinced them to let him go home. "It will be alright I promise. I won't do anything strenuous or dangerous to my health.", he said pleading a little. Allison and Jo looked at each other smirking and shaking their heads at his persistence. "Alright. But remember, no screens or reading. You have to let your concussion heal. I'll get Andy to help you to Jacks jeep and we'll take you home.", said Allison as she put a reassuring hand on Fargos arm. "Thanks.", he said with a smile. Later that day Andy slowly walked Fargo from the infirmary down towards the front entrance. One arm under Fargos for support and the other hovering behind Fargos back in case he fell. Henry brought him a change of clothes that consisted of dark blue jeans and a plain navy blue t-shirt. Jack, Allison and Jo were talking in Fargos office about a thermo energy booster technology that went haywire. They looked up when Zane and Henry came in with some specs on the device. Just then Andy and Fargo walked through G.D. below the window from the big office. "Oh Fargos going home. Are you sure hes up to it? Jack asked looking at Allison. "With the extensive blood loss from his head wound, the seizures, and everything his body has been taxed through he's really weak. Its actually a wonder that he's on his feet at all right now. As in no...I don't think he is up to it. But he wanted to go home so I think we should let him. He promised to get plenty of rest and I don't doubt he'll keep his promise. Hes probably having a hard time keeping his eyes open as we speak.", said Allison to the others. "Come on Jack, I told him we would drive him home.", continued Allison. "Zane and I are bringing over dinner to Fargos from Vincent. He said it's a Sicily tart with purèd tomato sprinkled with aged brioche and cilantro. Yea it's pizza.", Jo said with a little laugh. "Well why don't you guys come with us. We'll swing by Cafe Dièm and then head to Fargos house. I don't think he'll mind. We can all go.", Allison suggested with a sweet smile. They all nodded in agreeance as they headed down to Fargo and Andy. Fargo and Andy stopped for a second as Fargo put his free hand on the wall taking a breath. "Are you alright Dr. Fargo?, asked Andy as the others approached them. "I'm alright Andy, just need a second.", Fargo said with a weak smile. "Hey Fargo, Andy.", said Jack cheerfully. "Hey so we were thinking about coming over for a movie and pizza.", said Zane. "Sounds good. But according to Allison im not allowed to look at screens so how about a card game?", Fargo said tiredly. They all chuckled and headed to the front door as they walked along side Fargo as quick as his body would allow. They finally got to Fargos place and Jo helped him out of the car. Inside it was surprisingly very homey. There was a feeling of warmth. The lights were welcoming and the air smelled like hazelnut. "It's so nice in here Fargo. In seeing your office I didn't expect such a...warm feeling I guess.", said Jo. "Well before my parents passed away our house was a lot like this. Warm and welcoming. So I kinda tried to recreate that.", he said to the group as he sat on the couch. "Go ahead and throw some wood on the fire if you like.", he continued. "You chop this wood yourself Fargo? You know you could just get those holographic positronic real heat radiating fireplaces from G.D.", Zane said. "Well I don't mind. I used to chop a lot of wood for my grandmother so I guess I got used to it. Plus I have a surplus of aspen trees in my back yard.", Fargo said weakly as he sunk into the couch. Henry knew where the cards and board games were in the cupboard as he came over a couple times a month for chess. Jack took 2 slices of pizza as he sat down next to Allison wrapping his arm around her waist. "Alright what are we playin?", said Zane cracking open 2 beers for him and Jo. "Uh..how about poker.", said Henry with a grin. They huddled around the table as they all laughed and talked by the fire. Jacks arm was still wrapped around Allison as they looked at each other and smiled. Jo stroked Zanes face and kissed him on the cheek. Henry sat nearest to the fireplace across from Fargo. "Fargo it's your turn.", Henry said looking up to see Fargos eyes closed looking exhausted. "Looks like someone needs some rest. Hand me that blanket would you Jo.". Allison laid a thin plaid blanket over him and kissed him on the forehead. Zane knelt down and took off Fargos shoes. "Boy he looks really beat.", said Zane as he stood up. "Considering what he's been through I'm surprised he didn't fall asleep on the way here.", said Jack. "Anyone want some coffee?", said Allison as she headed to the kitchen. They kinda wandered around a little looking around out of curiosity. Jo walked down the hall looking into the few rooms. There was a lot of technology and books, things like that. Jack went upstairs looking around when he found Fargos bedroom. It was surprisingly clean. Zane looked out the window to his backyard. There was a big table saw with some high tech tools on a bench. He then walked into a garage type work place with different varieties of wood and varnish, paint and things like that. There were a couple rocking chairs, a dining table, and a coffee table. Zane walked back into the living room. "Did you guys know Fargo makes furniture. Like im talking really good, well crafted fine oak. Who knew.", Zane said. "Hmm. I guess theres more to most people than meets the eye.", said Henry as he looked through a large book shelf. The group gravitated towards the dining room table as to not wake Fargo, not that that was even possible. They sat with hot cups of coffee as they glanced at the stars in the clear night sky. "What a week huh?", said Jo. "Quite the rollercoaster.", said Henry as he smiled looking down. "Hasn't been easy thats for sure.", said Jack looking toward the couch where Fargo remained. "But it's over now right.", said Allison smiling. "Yes. And it's a good thing to because I am so tired of this. Worrying I mean. It's not good on any of us. But I think were out of the woods wouldn't you say?", said Zane with a smile. "I think so.", said Allison with a laugh. "I really...really hope so.", she continued. They looked over at Fargo still fast asleep. The warm glow of the fire shown on his soft skin. His arms hung down over the thin flannel blanket and his head tilted into the couch. The quiet crackle of the fire was calming. Jack took a deep sigh of content. "It's so nice here I kinda don't wanna leave.", said Allison as they all chuckled and agreed. "I know right!", replied a smiling Jo. "Well we could stay here for the night, or at least for a while. You know to look after him.", said Zane. They all nodded. They talked quietly for a couple hours. Allison got up once to change the large bandage on Fargos forehead because some blood began to seap through. She stood there combing her fingers through his hair for a while. Fargo cracked open his eyes and sighed through his nose. "Can I have some water?", he said looking at Allison. She smiled and got him a glass. "I'm glad your all still here. Thanks for stayin.", said Fargo hoarsly after greedily gulping down the entire glass of water. He shakily set it down on the table in front of him and leaned back into the couch as his eye lids grew heavier and heavier. "Of course Fargo. Anytime.", said Henry. The group smiled towards Fargo then each other. He looked really peaceful. Henry sat at the dining room table with his head on his arms as he closed his eyes. Zane and Jo cuddled together near the fire as they drifted off comfortably. Jack and Allison also snuggled together in a big chair between the fireplace and the couch. They were close enough for Allison to hold Fargos hand. A few hours passed and everyone slept peacefully as the fire still lived warming the house. Fargo woke up as the rest slept. His throat was dry and he was extremely thirsty. He carefully slipped his hand out of Allisons and removed the blanket from his lap. He got up slowly, his body still incredibly weak. He walked slowly using the couch for support. As he slowly made his way to the kitchen there was nothing to lean on for support. He almost didn't make it but he reached the counter finally and leaned on it with relief. He closed his eyes for a second and took a breath. He then weakly reached up to the cupboard and grabbed the closest glass. He walked to the fridge and filled it to the top with crystal clear cold water. He sat down at the kitchen table on a bar stool. He shakily brought the water to his lips as he gulped it down with relief. His stomach grumbled and he looked toward the fridge. He pushed himself up with all his strength. Luckily the fridge was close as he opened it and grabbed a pint of rocky road ice cream and a spoon. As he ate it he smiled. It felt like forever since he'd tasted such delicious flavors. In his house he felt safe. The fire filled the house with warmth and that was calming. His friends being there gave him happiness and security. He realized there was little chance he had any strength to make it back to the couch so he thought he'd wait a bit before trying. Exhaustion overtook him as he ended up falling asleep at the table, spoon still in hand and his head laid on his other arm. At around 7 am Jack woke up followed by the others wiping the sleep from their eyes. He looked toward the couch panicking for a second but chuckled when he saw Fargo asleep at the table and the now melted pint of ice cream. They all looked at each other and chuckled. Golden sun shown through the window onto Fargo and filling the living room. Jack put more wood on the fire as quietly as he could. Zane and Henry both helped carefully move Fargo to the couch. He didn't even stir. Allison made eggs and bacon as Jo made a pot of coffee. "So, how did you all sleep?", asked Henry with a smile. "Surprisingly well.", Jo said with a slight smile. "I know it's ridiculous but I'm kind of afraid to leave him.", said Allison. They looked over at their friend. "I know what you mean. He'll be alright though I promise. We'll all be here to help him get back on his feet. Literally.", said Henry. "Well we all better get home and change.", said Jo taking another sip of her coffee. Jo grabbed a plate and put tons of bacon and eggs on it and poored a cup of coffee. She placed it on the table in front of Fargo. "Here, put this on top so it doesnt get cold.", said Zane as he finally found the foil. "Oh and he needs his iron supplements for his anemia and some pain medication for his head obviously.", said Allison. "Ok here we go found it. And heres a glass of water to put with em'.", said Jack as he looked through cabinets and drawers. Allison placed the pills and water next to his breakfast while Jo folded the foil over the plate. Zane grabbed a bunch of bacon for the road as Jo nudged him for it and they laughed. As they headed for the door they turned around looking at Fargo. He looked better than he had, but still looked very weak. He was pale and his eyes had dark circles underneath. His whole body looked exhausted beyond belief and sunk into the couch. Allison started to get a little choked up seeing Fargo that way. It reminded her of how much he went through in the past week and is still going through. "Gosh he looks so exhausted. I hope hes not in to much pain.", said Allison quickly wiping a tear. "It'll be ok sweetheart. I'll swing by later to check on him and drop off some lunch. And plus you've got that wireless long distance medical thingy majiger that monitor's his vitals. If anything happens you'll know.", Jack said rubbing her arm. "I know. I just wanna make sure hes ok.", Allison said as she walked out the door following the others. Jo turned around and softly pushed back Fargos hair and kissed him on the forehead. Zane smiled, "He'll be alright.", he said as they left. Later that morning...well later that day...Fargo woke up to the quiet empty house. He smiled when he saw the breakfast and things laid out for him by his friends. He ate it heartily. He started to feel rather warm as he looked up to see the fire had burned out. Before he could wonder further what was causing this warmth sleep pulled at him once more. A couple hours later Jack headed towards Fargos house with lunch from Vincent. As he arrived he knocked on the door before walking in. "Still asleep huh.", he said quietly. Jack shook Fargo slightly knowing he should eat something but he remained asleep. Jack decided to leave the food on the table and he headed for the door. When he was in the car he decided to go talk to Allison. As he walked through G.D. he found her in the infirmary working at her desk. She looked up and smiled to see her husband. "Hey honey. Hows Fargo.", asked Allison with a smile. "Well that's what I wanted to talk to you about. When I went over there he was still asleep. I mean should he be that exhausted?", asked Jack a little worried. "Hmm. Well his body has been through a lot. Im sure it's nothing he just needs rest.", Allison said a touch concerned. Later that day they met Jo, Henry and Zane at Cafè Diem. As they sat down they said hello and ordered their usuals. They talked about things happening at work and things like that. Suddenly there was a soft beeping coming from Allisons purse. They looked at each other confused including Allison. "What is that?", asked Zane. Allison suddenly had a slight look of worry as she remembered what it was and pulled out a small tablet that was creating the steady beeping. "This is the tablet connected to Fargos vitals and readings. His temperature is quite high, we should get over there.".They got there in no time and quietly walked inside trying not to startle Fargo. He was asleep on the couch just as he had been earlier. "He didn't touch his lunch.", said Jack. Allison started checking his vitals, wounds, pupils and things like that. "Well that means hes been asleep all day.", said Jo. "But he did eat his breakfast.", said Henry. As Allison finished she looked at the group concerned. "Well?", said Zane. "Well this is not uncommon for what Fargos body went through. You have to remember the severe concussion and almost fatal head wound slash blunt force trauma with his brain suffering seizures as well as a very high fever and surgery on his skull twice. His body also fought an infection and a lot of blood loss. Not to mention the intercranial pressure that taxed his brain. His temperature is high and his blood sugar is very low. His heart rate is also a little slower than I'd like it to be. He'll be alright as long as we can get him to eat something and I have something to help with the temperature a little.", she said to the slightly worried group. Zane shook Fargo slightly. "Fargo wake up. You gotta eat somethin buddy.". Fargos eyes fluttered open. As he unsuccessfully wiped the tired from his eyes he looked around confused. "How is it dark already. Im having some serious Deja Vu.". They all chuckled a little. "Your temperature is high so we came over to check on you. You're alright but you have to eat.", said Allison. "Here's Vincents lunch from earlier I warmed it up for you.", said Jo. "And take this, it should bring down your fever.", said Allison handing him a pill. "Thanks.", Fargo said smiling weakly. His hands shook as he brought the pill to his mouth followed by the water. "Your bandages are seaping through again probably because of your hightened blood pressure. Are you in a lot of pain?", asked Allison as she cleaned the wound and prepared the new bandage. "Well I took the pain medication you guys laid out this morning, thanks by the way, and that's helped a little but im not gonna lie I've got a splitting headache.", Fargo said breathy with exhaustion. Allison smiled, "Ok well I can help with that. Now eat your food.". Fargo ate it slowly and it did help to everyones relief. He set it down and leaned forward. He started to get up when Allison stopped him. "Where do you think your going?". She said curious and shocked he would even try to get up with his low amount of strength. "Well...I have to go to the bathroom. I havent gone for like 18 hours so...", he said with a little chuckle. They all laughed at that to. "Ok sorry.", Allison said with a big smile. Zane helped him up and they slowly but surely made their way to the bathroom. Soon he was back on the couch nodding off again. The others watched over him and were happy to see him getting back to his regular self a bit. The next month was a long one as he healed slowly. Within the following month he was back running G.D. and happy about it. He leaned on his friends a lot for support emotionaly and physically. He missed Holly everyday and thought about her all the time. But he had his friends to lean on. He was grateful for them and they were grateful for him.
