Chapter Four
Dinner had begun with an unfortunate twist:
First, I was in chains, and second. Bakugo insisted he would sit with me for no odd reason at all.
"It's one thing when you beat my ass so I'm going to keep a bitch like you in check! I need to defeat you if I aim to get stronger!"
I shrugged it off. Of course, shrugging things off such as this was not normal of me, but I didn't enjoy him shoveling food into his mouth so gluttonously.
Deku kept his distance. Probably upset that I snapped at him. No doubt it was because of that, for whenever I caught his gaze he shivered and covered his face with his green hair.
This was uncomfortable. Extremely. Uncomfortable.
Bakugo continued to shovel food into his mouth, bits of rice from his leftover three bowls stuck right onto his face. Pig.
The other boys I caught looking at me. Todoroki exchanged polite glances once in a while at my direction. Kaminari wouldn't stop drooling and looking at my breasts, and Mineta was most likely the source of it all. Idiots.
"So." Deku says, breaking the silence at the huge, round table. "How was everyone's day so far?"
All of my classmates looked right into my direction, their eyes full of interest. Again, with the questions?
I sighed heavily.
"I-it's been fine. I guess. I am still getting used to all this 'hero' shit on my behalf. But I appreciate you all being welcome with open arms, guys."
Mina smiled. So did Uraraka and Momo, along with Tsuyu.
"Is there something you wish to tell us, Kimura?"
I felt sweaty as soon as they answered this. I rubbed my palms a bit. I hadn't even touched my food.
"I don't have anything left to say… not in the least."
Bakugo turned to look at me with a puzzled look.
"What the hell are they talking about, Kimura?"
"I haven't the slightest clue, I'm afraid." Shaking my head, I picked up my fork and dug into the sticky rice. I didn't eat with chopsticks.
"Yeah, you do!" Mina says excitedly. "You have a crush, don't you?"
I felt heat rise to my face quickly. Why would they be asking such questions when I had just wanted to eat and return to my quarters?
And plus after I ate, All Might said he would be taking me somewhere. Couldn't forget about that.
"N-no! Why on Earth would I have a crush? I don't need a man right now! Focusing on becoming a hero is most important."
"Well said, Kimura." Ida said politely. I almost forgot he was in this class too. His glasses were cute, and his hair was black like mine. Something to admire since we were basically the only intelligent ones around. "You need to stop pestering with such questions, dear friends. She's already nervous enough being her first day as a hero! Give her a break!"
Bakugo scoffed. "She'll get a break when I'm through with her, four eyes! Shut your trap before I blast that mouth of yours!"
Ida shook his head and continued to eat his food.
Why did Bakugo need to be so threatening all of the time? And angry. Why did this individual need to be so enraged?
Mina mutters something under her breath with a cheery smile, her pink hair bright and neon.
"She likes Bakugo."
I swore I had never seen a teen stand up from his chair so fast it made my head spin a bit, because this was what Bakugo did as Mina had said this.
"THE HELL DID YOU JUST SAY, ALIEN?!"
Mina opens her mouth to say something and grins.
"Kimura likes you, Bakugo."
I feel the heat rising from my face faster again. I try to cover up my face onto the table as I feel Bakugo's piercing glare directly onto me.
Who was she kidding? Mina was right. I liked Bakugo. How I went so easy on him and won twice had made itself clear.
But Shigaraki… I couldn't forget him. I bet he was looking for me throughout all of this.
"HELL IF SHE LIKES ME. I DON'T GIVE A DAMN!"
Jiro smirks along with the rest of the girls.
"I guess this means you also like Kimura as well, huh?" All the girls say.
"SHUT UP! WE'RE NOT EVEN FRIENDS!"
"How could you not be friends? Your personalities match one another, Bakugo!" Kirishima said aloud, chewing loudly on some of his ramen.
"Yeah. Flaming hot mixed with garbage!" I heard Denki snicker.
Everyone in Class 1-A began laughing except for me and Bakugo.
Unamused expressions crossed our faces.
I saw Bakugo smile out of the corner of my eye.
"FINE! IF FRIENDSHIP IS WHAT YOU ASSHOLES IN HERE WANT, THEN WE'LL BE FRIENDS!"
And that was the part where I felt like dying. Bakugo? As a friend?
