ALLIES
ARYA
With Jon on his way to becoming King he needed little to no help from Arya, so now she can turn her attention towards forming an alliance between the North and the Free Folk. "You are doing well Arya…" Bran says to Arya in her mind.
"Still don't know why you chose me. Could have chosen my father or Robb…"
"I chose you for your fierceness…Now get some rest…"
Arya goes to sleep and wakes up the next morning. She immediately notices that that something is different on the inside. "Bran!" She mentally calls his name, but there is no answer. "No…no…no! Please!" She sits on her bed weeping, as she realizes that his voice has faded away. She remains that way for a good while.
"Arya! Time to eat!" Sansa yells, "Are you up?"
She takes a deep breath, "I'll be there in a minute!" It takes a few days but Arya is finally able to initiate her plan.
MANCE RAYDER
THE FROST FANGS
Mance Rayder was found as a baby by a man of the Night's Watch. He was raised in Mole's Town near Castle Black and became a brother of the Watch. Eventually Mance learns the truth from an old woman and leaves the Night's Watch. A few years later Mance with a hunting party is attacked by White Walkers. So he starts traveling from clan to clan trying to convince them of the Long Night that is coming. After fifteen years Mance has gathered all the Free Folk clans into one army for the purpose of getting south.
It wasn't the first time the Free Folk gathered in great numbers or that they chose a King. It is the first time that all the clans gathered together united as one. One Knight he dreams…
He sits up and looks around his tent which is empty, "Della!" He yells calling his wife's name, "Val…" He says calling her sister. When he exits the tent Mance is not in the Frost Fangs he is near the wall by the weeping tree and is joined by the Elders of the Free Folk. But the wall is only a few feet from the tree and to the right and left of the gate are many doors and each door has a Northern sigil on it. The door on the immediate right opens and out walks Lord Eddard Stark. "Who are you?"
"I am Lord Eddard Stark…Who are you?"
"Mance Rayder…"
The other door opens and Lord Commander Mormont walks out, "Lord Stark?"
"Lord Mormont."
He looks at Mance, "You!"
Other doors open and from them come, Lords Manderly, Bolton, Cerwyn, Reed, Umber, Lady Maege of House Mormont, Glover, Forrester, Whitehill, Karstark, Dustin, Cassel, Marsh, Poole, Glenmoore, Mullen, Mazin, Tallhart, and Hornwood.
"Maege?"
"Jeor?"
"Mance is this real?"
"SILENCE!" The voice came from the tree. They all look at it, "I bought all you here…" Sap drips from it's mouth and eyes as it speaks, "…For the time of fighting amongst yourselves is over. The Night's Watch was founded to fight the Others and protect the realms of men from them with blue eyes…The Night's Watch has lost its way slaughtering people…And you Free Folk…You earned well the names given to you savages…Raping and pillaging when you go south of the wall…No more or suffer my wrath."
"Are you one of the Old gods?" Lord Umber fearfully asks.
"I speak for the Old gods…You both are children of the First Men…Winter is Coming are the words of House Stark…And it is so and with it the Dead come…You Lord Mormont and the Lords of the North will allow the Free Folk to come South and settle the lands of the Gift…
You King Beyond the Wall and you Elders of the Free Folk will live by the laws of the land and keep the King's Peace…You will trade and barter with the North…And when the time comes you will help them defend the wall from them with Blue eyes…Any crimes committed on the lands of the Free Folk will be judged by the Free Folk…
Any crimes committed by Free Folk on the lands of a Lord will be punished by that Lord…None of you will try to make the Free Folk bend the knee…You Free Folk will begin your march south on tomorrow…and you Lords will make ready to receive them…Go now…
Mance awoke the next morning and after breaking his fast, he meets with the Elders. By midday the Free Folk are marching south.
EDDARD STARK
The Ravens were flying back and forth over the next few weeks. Then Eddard gets ready to leave for the wall. He leaves Robb as acting Lord and travels with twenty heavily armed men and enough food and supplies for a year. All the other Houses depending on their size and strength will also bring supplies for anywhere between two months to a year.
The journey to Castle Black takes two weeks, When Ned arrives Great Jon Umber is waiting along with Rickard Karstark of Karhold. Their Castles are the closest to the wall. It takes three weeks for everyone to arrive and when they do a feast is held. Two days later the horn is blasted twice for the Free Folk. Jeor and Ned lead, the High council of the Watch and the Lords of the North to the weeping tree to meet with the Free Folk Elders.
The terms of the peace treaty are ironed out, blood oaths are made and the Free Folk are finally allowed to cross beneath the wall. The Giants will have to head east and go around the wall because of their Mammoths. Some Free Folk go with them and a few men of the North. On his way back home Ned finds a pregnant Dire Wolf that follows him home.
