SUMMARY: The boys decided to confront Sasayaki. How will this plan of theirs go?

A/N: I already post 3 new chapters on AO3 and totally forgot to post them here as well! A THOUSAND APOLOGIES!

AMBUSH

Monday was a cloudy day. Thick grey clouds have persistently blocked the sun all day and it rained lightly for an hour or two before it stopped. The temperature was cool and made most of the students feel sluggish, wishing that it was a day off so they could sleep in with the current weather. Even their teachers seemed lethargic too, the drone of their voice lulling the students.

Izuku cover a yawn with his left hand as he tried to finish his classwork. His eyes occasionally land on the blond occupying the seat in front of him. Katsuki had been ignoring him all day. The plan was to make it seem they had a fight and he's not talking to Izuku. The green-haired boy would be the bait to pull Sasayaki out. They've made plans through texts all night.

It's either you ask him to meet you privately or you follow him after school. I'll follow nearby as back up. Make sure you don't forget to turn on your voice recorder! We need to get proof before we go to the police.

Izuku's grip on his pencil tightened, he's nervous. A hundred scenarios crossed his mind and it's making him think off how things would go wrong. What if he messed up? What if Sasayaki-senpai managed to control him with his quirk again? The boy scratched his head frustratingly. He should stop overthinking this! Kacchan's going to be there, everything will be alright because Kacchan always makes sure things go smoothly.

He jumped when the school bell rang. Their teacher announced something about continuing the topic the next day and expecting them to finish today's work before he explains the next steps tomorrow. Izuku's hands trembled as he gathered his things into his backpack. He looked up when Katsuki stood, his school bag slung over one shoulder. Their eyes met briefly before Katsuki left the classroom, following the other students as they rushed to go wherever they planned to go. A student sitting beside him, Fujimoto, leaned towards him, "Hey, Midoriya! Did you and Bakugou had a fight or something?"

"Huh? O-oh uhhmmm, we… we uhh... had a little misunderstanding. Kacchan's still upset about it."

"I see. I was wondering why he didn't yell at you at all today," said Fujimoto as he scratched his head.

"Yeah! It was weirdly quiet. Unnerving really!" said another one of his classmates as he walked past Izuku's table.

Izuku chuckled and scratched his cheek, "Yeah… a quiet Kacchan is kinda scary."

Fujimoto clapped his shoulder as he stood up, "Well, I hope you guys settle whatever problems you have. I can't believe I'm saying this but Bakugou being quiet was making everyone uncomfortable!"

Izuku smiled and nodded, "Don't worry. I'll talk to him."

"You better! See ya tomorrow, Midoriya!"

Izuku sighed and pulled his backpack against his chest. He sat alone in the classroom for a minutes before he got up to leave. He needed to find Sasayaki. He headed for the library but after spending nearly five minutes snooping around, he didn't see the third-year student. He frowned, where else would he find him? He texted Katsuki to update him.

Deku: He's not in the library.

LordExplosionMurder: I just saw him leaving the school.

LordExplosionMurder: Change of plans. I'm gonna follow him. We're heading toward Higashigawa Takoba.

Izuku ran towards the school gates. He received a live location from Katsuki and he opened his GPS app to follow him. He's not far behind. He quickened his steps to reach them. He took an alleyway for a shortcut. When he got out, he saw his blond friend ahead of him.

Deku: I'm behind you.

LordExplosionMurder: Stay out of sight. I think he saw me so we can't let him see you too.

Deku: Okay.

Izuku slowed down his steps and tried to stay behind Katsuki as he followed him, hopefully, Sasayaki wouldn't spot him. The boys followed the older teenager through a busy intersection, they tried their best not to lose him as they weaved through the crowd. Katsuki narrowed his eyes when he spotted the blue-haired teen walk into an alleyway. His heart pounding rapidly in his chest when he had a flashback of his encounter with Hanamoto. He shook his head to clear his head and hurried after him, hoping Izuku didn't lose him in the crowd. He didn't see the green-haired boy running into a man.

"Hey, watch it!" said the man gruffly.

Izuku quickly bowed and squeaked nervously, "S-sorry!"

The man gave him a warning glare and Izuku bowed again. He waited for the man to leave before he hurried after Katsuki. He looked down at his phone to make sure he's going the right direction. He noticed Katsuki going further into the back alley. Izuku's heart raced. Everyone knows the back alley in this area is a place where criminals tend to lurk. He started to jog as concern for his friend began to overwhelm him when he remembered, Kacchan got taken in an alleyway!

As he went deeper in the narrow alleyway, he noticed the darker it gets as the tall buildings prevented light from illuminating the passage. Izuku gulped nervously as he followed the red blip on his phone, he's getting close but he still couldn't see Katsuki. He bit his tongue from calling out to his friend and exposing them. He pondered if he should call the police. He frowned; they still didn't have proof. He froze when there was an explosion, the sound reverberating off the walls. He gasped and his eyes widened, Kacchan?! He started sprinting.

There was another explosion that lit up the alleyway. Izuku skidded to a halt as Katsuki appeared, their eyes meet, "Deku! Get back! It's a trap!"

"Wha-" Izuku was tackled to the ground by the blond and he watched as Katsuki raised a hand and made an explosion. There was a screech and he noticed the shadows retreating. Katsuki grabbed him by his sleeve and pulled him up, "C'mon!"

"W-What was that?!" asked Izuku as he stumbled after his friend.

"He's got someone who can manipulate the shadows! We need to go somewhere bright!"

"Don't let them escape!" cried Sasayaki.

The shadows twisted and become distorted before it headed straight for the two teenagers. Katsuki clicked his tongue, "Cover your ears Deku!"

Izuku did as told as Katsuki released him and pushed him behind him. He watched the blond raised both hands, his palms facing each other, as the shadows dove at them. Katsuki narrowed his eyes, "Stun Grenade!"

Izuku instinctively closed his eyes when he saw a bright flash of light. The explosion was louder because of the huge flash that Katsuki made between his palms. The shadow made an ear-piercing screech as it retreated from the bright light. Without hesitating, Katsuki turned and grabbed Izuku's wrist. He dragged him with him toward the mouth of the alley. He immediately noticed something off about their surroundings.

"Kacchan! The walls!" cried Izuku, panicked.

Katsuki's eyes looked around wildly as the walls seemed to close in, the passage growing narrow, "What the fuck?!"

He pulled Izuku against his chest, "Hold on tight!"

"What are you doing?!"

"Shut up and don't let go!" shouted the blond.

Katsuki grit his teeth as he held onto Izuku tight and threw his right hand behind him, concentrating on the amount of power he'll need to propel them forward. The large explosion jarred his shoulder but they were rocketed forward, narrowly getting squeezed between the shrinking tunnel. They landed and rolled on the ground, Katsuki tucking his friend close against him and his hand behind Izuku's head protectively. Once they stopped rolling, he got on his hands and knees, wincing at the ache on his right shoulder, "You okay, Deku?"

Izuku's eyes were wide, "Y-yeah! W-when did you learn to do that?!"

"Talk later, we're still not out of danger!"

"How many people does he have with him?!"

"I saw three."

Katsuki frowned when he realized his arms were trembling. He clenched his hands into fists. He quickly scanned his friend to assess his injury, so far, he only looked scrapped and dishevelled. He needed to get Izuku away from here as soon as possible. He knew he couldn't protect Izuku and fight back a group of people with dangerous quirk. It's too risky. Keeping Izuku safe was his priority. He remembered seeing the third-year student talking with three people, so far two had attacked them. He did a quick mental check.

One can manipulate the shadows and the other two he's not sure. Did the second one had the ability to manipulate the surrounding? Or could it be an illusion? He was sure his shoulders touched the walls when he propelled himself and Izuku forward but he didn't feel anything. That leaves him with the other one. Fuck, this is a shitty situation. How'd that bastard even know we were trying to corner him?

"You can't get away from me, you know?" Sasayaki's voice echoed around them.

Katsuki pulled Izuku up and pushed him behind him. His eyes narrowing as he saw the blue-haired teenager emerged from the shadows, "What do you want bastard?!"

"Well, originally, I just want to mess with you guys but now," Sasayaki paused, his smile stretched to a mad grin, "I wanna get rid of you."

"But why?!" asked Izuku.

The older teen's eye twitched, "Because you two are annoying."

"We didn't do anything wrong to you!" said Katsuki.

"Oh, you didn't! But your existence, you two being so close, it's just… rubbing me off the wrong way. I despise it. It's gross!"

Katsuki scoffed, "So, you're trying to get rid of us cuz you're fucking jealous of us?"

"T-that doesn't make sense!" said Izuku, flabbergasted.

"What doesn't make sense is how you two are friends!"

"I get it, you suck at friendship but it's a dumb reason to get rid of us!" said Katsuki annoyed, is this guy fucking serious?!

"Call me dumb or whatever, I just hate everything about you," said Sasayaki coldly. He took out something from his pocket and slammed it to his neck. He smiled, "I don't like getting my hands dirty so you're going to do the deed for me, Bakugou Katsuki."

Katsuki tensed. He could feel a tingling sensation at his fingertips and a loud ringing assaulted his ears. His vision blurred around the edges. He felt Izuku touched his shoulder, "Kacchan?"

"F-fuck… his quirk…" he ground out.

Izuku gasped, "No."

Sasayaki threw the object in his hand at them, it clattered on the ground and rolled to stop by Katsuki's feet. It was a plastic syringe. Izuku's eyes shifted from the empty syringe to Sasayaki as the teenager started approaching them. His grey eyes seemed to glow in the dark. He tugged at Katsuki who was still frozen, "Kacchan!"

Katsuki's body trembled as he tried to force his limbs to move, a growl rising in the back of his throat. A headache was developing in his head and he could feel the stabbing pain at the back of his head intensifying the more he tried to force himself to move. Sasayaki stopped a few feet in front of them, "Come here, Bakugou."

Izuku nearly stumbled when Katsuki pulled himself away from his hand. He watched with wide fearful eyes as his friend approached the older boy, his movement stiff as he struggled to resist the command. Sasayaki smiled, "Looks like the stuff works well. Didn't have to ask questions to make you listen to me."

Izuku's eyes glanced at the syringe on the ground, "W-what did you inject yourself with?"

Sasayaki grinned and spun Katsuki around to face his friend. He then slung an arm around the blond boy's shoulder. Katsuki scowled. He wished he could shove the creep off him, maybe punch him in the face too. Sasayaki leaned against him, a smug smile on his lips, "A little something to boost my quirk."

Katsuki's eyes widened. He had heard of it from the agency. A drug that temporarily enhances any quirk. He gritted his teeth, "Trigger."

Sasayaki met his eyes, "Oh? Do you know it? I didn't expect someone like you would know!"

"What's that? What's Trigger?!" asked Izuku shakily.

"A quirkless loser like you don't need to know. Now, let's have a little fun! Shall we?"

Izuku took a few steps back as he eyed the teenager and his friend. He knew Katsuki wouldn't hurt him on purpose but he knows how dangerous his friend's quirk is if used in the wrong hands. He clenched his fists, anger welled up in him, as he watched Sasayaki leaned close to Katsuki's ear and said with glee, "Burn his face off."

Katsuki tried to hold back but his body moved automatically at the command. He fought to keep his hand from aiming at Izuku, even tried to decrease his explosion's power, "DEKU!"

Izuku leapt to the side, he grimaced at the heat and loud popping from Katsuki's hand, then rolled on the floor. He quickly scrambled to his feet. Think! What should I do?! He dodged a kick that's followed by a punch. He sighed quietly, his training with Katsuki had improved his reflexes but he was still no match against his friend. He kept his eyes on the blond, trying to asses his movements. He noticed the trembling hands, Kacchan's at his limits! He dodged another attack aimed for his face but this time the explosion was weaker than the first. Was Katsuki resisting Sasayaki's quirk? His eyes widened slightly when he remembered Katsuki told him once, that he would find it difficult to use his quirk fully if his hands are bound. He met Katsuki's eyes and whispered, "Aim for my head."

"You crazy?!" hissed the blond.

Izuku narrowed his eyes as he tugged at his tie, "Trust me, Kacchan!"

Katsuki gritted his teeth. Trusting Izuku with whatever plan he had, Punch him in the face! Katsuki repeated the instruction in head, hoping his body would follow. He threw a right hook at the green-haired boy and watched as Izuku dodged it. Izuku grabbed his wrist and pulled him forward as he turned his back to the blond, lowering his stance. Katsuki knew what he was trying to do. He felt his body following the motion as Izuku pulled at his arm and swung him over his shoulder. The air was knocked out of his chest as he slammed onto the ground on his back. Izuku quickly used his tie to bind Katsuki's wrists together, "Sorry, Kacchan!

"What are you doing?!" cried Sasayaki furious, "How could you lose to a quirkless loser?!"

"Fuck off!" said Katsuki.

"Release him!" said Izuku with a glare.

Sasayaki growled in annoyance, "Kage, get the brat!"

Izuku noticed the shadows shifting on the walls. He jumped to the side as a dark spike appeared from the wall, aiming to impale him. His eyes looked around wildly as the shadow began to twist and turn. More spikes appeared and he dodged them the best he could. There was a flash and an explosion, the shadows retreated with a screech. Izuku turned to Katsuki who was kneeling on the ground, his hands raised in front of him and smoke wafted from between his palms. There was blood trickling down his nose and chin.

"Kacchan?!"

Sasayaki's eyes were wide with shock, "What?! How did you-"

Katsuki wiped his face against his arm, smearing the blood on his face. He grinned viciously, "You think you can use me as your damn puppet?! I'll show you!"

He dashed straight for Sasayaki, his hands crackling loudly. The older teen had an arm raised in front of him, "BAKUGOU, STOP!"

"HAH?! CAN'T HEAR YOU?" shouted Katsuki as he neared him. He slammed shoulder first against the teenager's chest, knocking him off his feet. Both boys fell on the ground hard. Katsuki's hands were still crackling as he struggled to his feet. The explosion in his hands distorting the shadows around them. He slammed a foot down Sasayaki's chest, "Give up!"

Sasayaki glared at him, "Don't forget. I'm not alone."

Katsuki turned to Izuku, "Deku, watch your back!"

Izuku dodged a dark whip that sprang from the wall. He stumbled when the ground shifted under him. He landed on his butt and rolled away in time to avoid a dark spike. He struggled to get to his feet, the world seemed to shift and tilt around him. He felt disoriented and sick to his stomach. Izuku clapped a hand over his mouth, "H-huh?!"

He felt a weight slammed into him and he fell onto the ground. He looked up to see Katsuki on top of him, "Kacchan!"

Katsuki got up, and shoved his hands at Izuku, "Take this damn thing off me!"

"But-"

The both of them jumped back when a black whip fell between them. Katsuki made a flash with his hands and the shadow retreated from the bright light. He turned to Izuku, "He's no longer in control! I snapped out of it when you slammed my head on the ground!"

Izuku grimaced, "Sorry."

Katsuki tsked, "Not now, Deku!"

"Kacchan, we need to escape!" said Izuku as he fumbled with the tie.

"I know. Listen, Triggers have a limited time on their user. So, let's hope it'll wear off the creep! Run for it if there's a chance!"

Katsuki shook his hands once they were free from being restrained. He grabbed Izuku and pulled him aside just as a spike emerged from the ground. He hissed as his side stung and Izuku noticed the pained grimace, "What's wrong?!"

"Don't mind me. Just, keep dodging!" said Katsuki as he pushed Izuku in time to avoid being slammed by a dark whip.

Katsuki slammed a hand on it, and his hand exploded. The shadow screeched and writhed as it swiftly retreated under a dumpster. Katsuki narrowed his eyes when the world seemed to tilt. He stood still assessing the situation for a moment. His vision was distorted but he couldn't actually feel any changes with his footing. So, it's a quirk that affects our perception. He needed to take them out so they could escape smoothly. He squeezed at his aching side and the pain helped him focus. He saw movement in the corner of his eyes and he flew straight toward the hidden person. It was a woman. She was skinny and grimy, her dark hair tangled and stuck out oddly over her head. There was dirt stain on her face and her clothes were worn as if she lived in the streets. She gasped when he appeared in front of her, "Sorry lady!"

Katsuki swung a heel against her temple and knocked her out immediately. He landed on his feet and stared at her, making sure she was out cold. He let out a cry when something sharp slammed into his left shoulder, forcing him down to one knee. He heard Izuku's panicked cry, "KACCHAN!"

"You… You little shit," growled Sasayaki. He held a bloodied pocket knife. Izuku didn't think as sprinted toward him and leapt to tackle the older teenager. They both fell on the ground and wrestled for the knife. Izuku punched Sasayaki in the face and the teenager retaliated with a scratch to his face. The younger boy pressed a palm against his mouth. He snarled when Izuku smacked the knife out of his hand. It clattered a few inches out of his reach.

Katsuki breathed through the pain, he could feel blood trickling down his back and arm, "D-Deku…"

Sasayaki managed to push Izuku back, freeing his mouth, "Hands off, Midoriya Izuku!"

Izuku froze. Sasayaki pushed him aside and picked up the knife he dropped. He grinned as he stared at Izuku, offering the knife to him, "Take this."

Katsuki got up shakily. His right hand slippery with blood as he pressed against his bleeding shoulder, "Deku!"

He watched Izuku took the knife. His hand was shaking as he held the knife, no doubt trying to resist Sasayaki's quirk influence. Katsuki staggered toward them but stopped when Sasayaki raised a finger, "Ah-ah, another step and someone's gonna get stabbed!"

"Leave him alone, you crazy fuck!" Katsuki growled threateningly.

Sasayaki chuckled, "But things are getting fun here!"

He pulled Izuku up and stood behind him. He guided the knife to his throat, "So which one will it be? The throat? Or the heart? Maybe you'd like to see him spill his guts?"

Katsuki gritted his teeth, "Don't you dare hurt him."

Sasayaki tilted his head, "I don't understand. Why do you care about this quirkless little shit anyway? Didn't he hurt you? Saying all those ugly truths he kept deep in his heart?"

Katsuki tensed. He met Izuku's wide eyes. There were confusion and fear in them. Katsuki sneered at Sasayaki, "They're lies."

"Were they? What do you think Midoriya-kun?" asked Sasayaki as he pressed his palms against the sides of Izuku's face. He grinned at the doubt swimming in Katsuki's eyes.

"I – I don't..."

"Tell Bakugou the truth. Go on, tell him what you think of him!"

Izuku's lips trembled as he spoke, "I'm… scared of you, Kacchan."

Katsuki swore his heart stopped beating when those words reached his ears. He stared at Izuku with wide eyes. Sasayaki grinned triumphantly, "Oh? Tell him more!"

"You have a very powerful quirk. A quirk that could hurt people. A quirk that's villainous."

Katsuki shook his head, "No. Shut up-"

"But it's okay, K-Kacchan," said Izuku shakily.

Sasayaki frowned at the change of tone. He gripped Izuku's shoulders and hissed, "What are you saying?"

"I always believed in you. You're gonna be an amazing hero."

Katsuki felt warmth envelop him as he stared at Izuku in shock. The green-haired boy gave him a wide smile, "You're going to show them that you'll only use your villainous quirk to save people because you have the heart of a true hero."

Sasayaki roared as he grabbed Izuku's wrist, the one holding the knife. Everything moved in slow motion as he aimed the knife toward the younger boy's chest. Katsuki had started sprinting, faster! I need to be faster! His left hand heated up behind him and he brought his bloodied right hand in front of him, eyes zoning on the knife as it inched closer to Izuku's chest. There was an explosion, but it felt different than his usual. He could feel his body rushing forward. His hand landed on Izuku's chest in a blink of an eye and he pushed with all his might.

Izuku didn't understand what happened. One moment, Katsuki was a good three or so meters away, and suddenly he's in front of him. His bloodied hand pushing at his chest. Izuku watched in horror as the knife sank into the back of his friend's hand, he could see the tip protruding from his bloody palm. Suddenly, everything was moving too fast around him. His back slammed against Sasayaki's chest, knocking them off balance. He stumbled out of the older teen's grip as Katsuki tugged at Sasayaki's arm and slammed his forehead against the boy's face. There was a loud crack and Izuku grimaced, that had to be painful. Sasayaki howled as a hand flew to his face. Blood gushing from his nose. Izuku fell on the ground. He shook his head and realized he's in control of his own body, "Kacchan!"

He watched in astonishment as Katsuki grabbed Sasayaki's front shirt, swung him around and swept him off his feet. He slammed the older teenager down on the ground. Katsuki didn't give him room to recover and flipped him to his front. He grabbed his right arm and twisted it behind him, the older teenager let out a pained cry. Katsuki pressed a knee into his upper back and growled, "You lost, bastard!"

"This is not over! KAGE!"

Izuku tensed, expecting the shadows to jump at them. But nothing happened. Sasayaki roared as he writhed under Katsuki, "KAGE, GET RID OF THEM!"

"No," hissed a voice in the shadows. Katsuki tensed as the shadows shifted. An emaciated looking man stepped out, his face sunken and skin grey. His eyes were white, no irises or pupils that they could see. The man bared his teeth, showing yellowed crooked teeth, "No more. You promised you'd get me Trigger but you lied. I don't want to work for you anymore."

"I'll get you your Trigger!" said Sasayaki, his eyes wide and wild.

Kage shook his head, "Lies. Always with the lies. I will not help you. No more."

"Come back here!" Sasayaki screamed angrily.

Izuku and Katsuki watched Kage retreating into the shadows, blending in and disappeared. Sasayaki roared furiously and slammed his fist on the ground, "USELESS TRASH! YOU'RE ALL NOTHING BUT TRASH! FUCK YOU ALL!"

"Hey, stand down!" said Katsuki as he pressed the raging teenager down with his knee.

Sasayaki was snarling like an animal, "You! You fuckers are going to regret this!"

"You already lost! Give the fuck up!" said Katsuki.

"W-what do we do now?" asked Izuku nervously.

Katsuki glanced at him, "Call the cops."

"But-"

"This bastard's going to jail for misusing his quirk and possession of Trigger."

Izuku nodded as he fumbled for his phone. He eyed the blood on his friend worriedly. The knife was still stuck in Katsuki's hand. He quickly dialled the police hotline and gave them the details. Katsuki glared at the back of Sasayaki's head, making sure to keep his weight on the teenager who fortunately for him, didn't seem to have the physical strength to push him off. But he couldn't let his guard down. He blinked his eyes as his vision blurred, shit. I'm losing blood. He could hear Izuku talking on the phone but it started to sound muffled. He shook his head, no! Gotta stay awake!

"They're on their way," said Izuku as he approached them. He flinched when Sasayaki glared at him coldly. Katsuki nodded mutely and tried to focus on holding the older teenager down. Izuku ran to pick up his discarded tie and returned to their side, "L-let's tie him up."

"No. Gag the bastard. Can't have him use his quirk on the cops," said Katsuki.

Izuku nodded and did as he was told. He wrapped the tie around Sasayaki's mouth, the older teenager snarled at him. He flinched when Katsuki tugged at his arm, "You do anything, I'll dislocate your shoulder or worse, I'll blow off your arm."

Sasayaki cackled madly, "Let me see you try!"

They jumped as something landed in front of them. Katsuki raised his eyes to meet a familiar face. Detective Hayabusa was surprised to see him, "Bakugou? What's going on here?"

"Kacchan, you know him?"

"Cuff this bastard and we'll explain," said Katsuki as he motioned to the teenager he had pinned.

Hayabusa took out a pair of handcuffs and cuffed the teenager's wrist. Katsuki stood up shakily, Izuku quickly approached to support him, "I got you Kacchan."

Katsuki dug out a device from his pocket. He pressed the stop button and then tossed it to Hayabusa, "Proof."

Hayabusa caught the voice recorder and tucked it into his pocket, "Give me a rundown of the situation here."

"Bastard here misused his mind control quirk on us. He was also in possession of Trigger."

Hayabusa frowned, "Trigger?"

Izuku pointed at the empty syringe, "He... he injected himself with it."

The detective eyed Katsuki with concern when he noticed the blood dripping down his hand, "We need to get you to the hospital, kid. That's a lot of blood."

"I- I'll be fine," said Katsuki in a whisper, his lids growing heavy.

Izuku clutched onto him worriedly, "Kacchan?"

Katsuki glanced at the alleyway behind him, "T-there's one more… there were four of them… Shadow freak escaped but the other..."

"I think they got away, Kacchan," said Izuku as he tried to keep his friend upright. Katsuki was leaning more of his weight on him. He stared at Katsuki's glassy eyes, "It's okay, Kacchan. Let the police handle this."

Katsuki sagged against him, "You okay?"

Izuku smiled, tears stung his eyes, "Yeah. Thanks to you."

The blond nodded, "Good. I'm… I'm gonna... take a nap."

"Wait, no Kacchan! Don't go to sleep!"

"Kid?"

"Kacchan!"

Kage walked out of the shadows. He scratched at his shoulder and muttered incoherently under his breath. He gnawed at his fingernails in nervous habit. He froze when he heard footsteps. He spun around; eyes wide with panic. The shadow around him looming behind him, ready to strike. He relaxed when he saw a familiar face, "It's just you."

Turquoise eyes glow in the dark. A thin lanky figure stepped out of the shadows. Dabi tilted his head at him, "So, the kid failed?"

Kage nodded his head, "He lied. He took the Trigger."

Dabi tsked, "Did he at least give you the money?"

The emaciated man shook his head, "He lied. He took the Trigger."

The teenager scoffed, "You sound like a broken record. How long did it take for the drug to wear off?"

Kage fidgeted as he raised his hands. He counted with his fingers, "T-ten… maybe fifteen minutes?"

"Well, that ain't good. Gotta tell Noname," said Dabi as he turned to take his leave.

"Wait!"

"Hmm?"

"D-do you have Trigger? Please? I need it!"

Dabi shook his head, "Sorry man. Our stocks are limited."

"Please!"

"If you want it, you gotta pay for it, man."

Kage bared his teeth at him, "GIVE IT TO ME! I KNOW YOU HAVE IT!"

The teenager sighed, exasperated, "I don't have any on me. Now, scram!"

The man roared as he lunged for the teenager. The shadows moving along with him, they took solid form and created sharp spikes aiming for the teenager. Dabi waved a hand at him and blue flames burst to life. The flames caught the man and he screeched as he was devoured. Dabi stared at the screaming writhing man in boredom, "You junkies never listen."

He waited for the body to stop moving before he turned on his heels. The scent of burning flesh was strong but he's used to it. He finds it thrilling. He dug out his phone and dialled a number, "Hey, doc. Yeah, it's no good. Time to cook up something stronger if we wanna keep the cash flowing. Yeah, I'm on my way back. What? Sure. What do ya want for dinner?"

Dabi disappeared in the shadows of the alleyway, leaving behind a dead man. The blue flame distorted the shadows as it danced, eating at the body of the nobody named Kage who will not be missed by society.

A/N: Ayyy, this was a little challenging to write! But I had fun! I hope you guys liked it!

NOTE: Sasayaki couldn't control Katsuki or Izuku once they were snapped out of his trance. There needs to be a waiting time in between if he wants to control them. Apparently, a knock to the head or distracting him could break the link.
