After debating for a long while I decided to just delete the story and Re-upload it. Since I began re-writing it, it made more sense to delete it as a way to not confuse many of the people that had already read the story. Nothing is changing. I'm just writing it while I get more of the character's personality.

Third Point Of View

Hiccup's fist shook, his expression changed from relieved to anger and worry in seconds. He could have thought that the nightmare was finally over! That they could finally rest knowing the hunters were defeated! And their dragons were in no danger anymore!

He stared at the way Viggo held Astrid, his girlfriend. He kept her arms trapped behind her while holding onto her lower body. She would fight him if only her axe wasn't close to her throat. "Let me guess. You want the Dragon Eye in exchange for Astrid?" Hiccup asked, very well knowing what Viggo's intentions were.

He knew Viggo only cared for the Dragon Eye. An easy way to Dragon knowledge. His head lowered and darkened when he watched Viggo smile smugly. "Oh, it sounds so much colder when you say it like that," he said, "but yes."

Astrid tried moving her arms only to have Viggo holding her body tighter and pulling her closer to him. A growl escaped Hiccup's lips as he saw this.

Viggo watched Hiccup's expression with enjoyment, the boy was so focused on Astrid he wasn't aware of the hunters approaching them. Just as he had planned, "While I do appreciate your assistance in putting my brother in his rightful place, I must insist that you return it to where it belongs, with me."

Pulling Astrid closer to his body, Viggo raised Astrid's axe closer to her throat causing her to gasp with wide eyes.

Hiccup could only stare at Viggo, he didn't have to think twice before grabbing the Dragon Eye from Toothless's saddle. Holding onto the Dragon Eye with a tight grip, he stared at it for a few seconds before making eye contact with Viggo and raising his hand showing he was willing to trade it for Astrid's safety.

Astrid was able to realize what Viggo had told her earlier when he grabbed her! He wasn't going to trade her! She finally noticed the hunters approaching them, but with Viggo holding her axe closer to her throat, she realized he had planned all this! And that he didn't want her blowing his plan!

Her eyes widened as hunters pointed their arrows towards Toothless and Stormfly! She couldn't allow this to happen! Viggo couldn't win!

"Hiccup, it's a trap!" she warned him, gasping aloud as Viggo tightened his grip. The next thing she knew, his face was close to her ear.

Feeling beads of sweat, she struggled just feeling him closer to her, "too late for him." he whispered with a chuckle, making her turn and stare at him for a few seconds.

"No, Toothless!" Hiccup said, panicking to see his dragon fall unconscious to the floor with a Dragon Root arrow on his tail! He stood there in shock seeing Dragon Hunters approaching towards them. Turning his body towards Viggo he yelled in anger, "what's your plan now? I thought you only wanted the Dragon Eye!"

Looking at Hiccup smugly he began to talk, "Oh. But you are right my dear Hiccup." he said, moving the axe away from Astrid's throat. "I do very much want the Dragon Eye back to my possession, as it should be..."

"Then! What's your plan!? Throwing me to the volcano?" Hiccup shouted, he was too angry to even see the hunters behind him. Before he knew it, the men had grabbed a hold of him which caused him to drop the Dragon Eye. The hunters forced him to his knees as they held his hands behind his back. "Taking over Dragon's Edge?!"

Shaking in head, he loosened his grip on Astrid completely. Seeing that she was able to slip away from him Astrid hopped off her Dragons saddle. She hadn't realized that hunters were already waiting for her.

"Hey! Let go of me!" she growled, being grabbed by at least three soldiers so that they could hold her in place.

Viggo also got off the Nadder's saddle, to which his hunters didn't lose a second and fired an arrow before she could attack. The dragon fell to the ground just as the Nightfury had done.

"Stormfly!" Astrid yelled in panic, "let us go!" she shouted, fighting and struggling at the hunter's grips she managed to slip away from them and beat them easily. Grabbing her daggers from her skirt she held her battle position as more hunters began to approach her.

"Now, now, my dear Astrid," Viggo called from behind her.

Astrid quickly turned her attention to him, "I won't let you get me again!" she growled, glaring daggers at the man.

Viggo simply crossed his arms, completely ignoring her words. "Is that so? Because if I remember you wouldn't be here if you hadn't tried and taken me down," smirking he just watched her expression darken, she was very much preparing to attack him. "Drop your weapons, my dear," he said, a hint of annoyance in his voice.

"Not a chance," she said with gritted teeth, holding even tighter to her weapons.

"Last time." he warned her, "Drop the daggers, or I'll make you regret your decision." His voice was low yet loud enough for her to hear.

"Oh yeah, what are you going to do? Beat me?" not watching her words, she wouldn't have guessed what he had planned,

With a flip of his fingers, he smirked at her as his men forced Hiccup to his feet. And just a second of silence they began to beat the young warrior. Their punches were brutal, he coughed blood and couldn't fight back as some of them held him still while the others hit him.

Astrid's eyes widened in feet. "Hiccup!" feeling the panic grow all over her body she rushed towards her boyfriend, only to be blocked by Hunters. "Leave him alone!"

Clapping his hands slowly, Viggo walked up to her, Hiccup was dropped by his men, before being grabbed and held in place. "Now, Astrid Hofferson, Drop your weapons," he ordered, in his usual smug voice.

Breathing heavily, she turned towards Hiccup, gasping as one of the hunters brought his sword close to his throat! They were going to hurt him even more!

Closing her eyes, and slowly, but obediently, she dropped her daggers and with her hands up she looked at Viggo straight in the eyes.

"No…. Astrid don't listen to him." Hiccup said, still having energy to fight if he had to!

Looking back at Hiccup, she could only see him with guilt, if she hadn't allowed Viggo to trap her Hiccup wouldn't be hurt, they could be finishing the hunters for good! But now, here they were trapped by their enemy, Viggo Grimborn.

Closing her eyes she turned her attention to Viggo once more, "there! Now what!?" she asked, only to feel her hand being forced behind her back as one of them began to tie her wrist before she could separate them! Astrid felt her heart race!

"Okay! What's the big idea!" She struggled against the men forcing her to her knees at the moment.

Viggo simply chuckled, with a flip of his fingers his men once again began beating Hiccup. He watched as Astrid's eyes went wide and fear filled them.

"Stop!" She yelled in panic, "Viggo! Stop this!"

He looked over to her for a few seconds, saying nothing, and turned his attention back to Hiccup, Viggo allowed a short time passed, Allowing not only himself but Astrid to see what Hiccup's fate would be. He heard her begging, telling him to leave Hiccup alone. And simply ignored it until he thought the young man had enough. Signaling his men, they stopped, and letting go of their grips Hiccup fell to the floor still conscious.

Hitting the ground hard, he tried lifting himself with his elbows, trying to control his breathing and keeping his mind steady,

The Hunter that held the Dragon Eye, handed it to Viggo as he walked to Hiccup. "My, my." He smirked as he knelt in front of Hiccup. Swinging his free hand, he gripped Hiccup's hair and forced his head to look at him. "You don't give up easily, do you?"

The teen yelped in pain, gritting his teeth he had only one eye opened due to the pain.

Simply looking at Hiccup, the same man that made him look like a fool so many times. He was able to defeat his brother, and free so many dragons that could have helped him enrich himself.

His dark expression, switched to a smirk as he held the Dragon Eye in front of Hiccup's face. "This is back to where it belongs." Getting up as well as letting go of his hair, he turned his attention to Astrid, "and so is she." he said, only loud for Hiccup to hear.

Hiccup's eyes went huge. He had to be lying! Why on Earth would he want Astrid for?! "N-- no!"

Forced to stand, both teens looked at each other's eyes before Viggo came between them. Astrid gritted her teeth just seeing him, she had to get away! She had carefully cut through her ropes with the spikes of her shirt. This was her opportunity to escape. Raising her foot, she stepped on one of the Hunters holding her! Hit, he loosened his grip, allowing Astrid to get free! With the other Hunter getting his attention off of her, slipping away from her ropes, she swung her fists to hit the hunters, giving her a chance to run away from them.

Running straight towards Viggo and Hiccup, she threw her first straight towards Viggo. The hunter simply dodged her hit, grabbing Astrid's hand as she tried hitting him he held her hand up, tight enough that Astrid couldn't move away from him.

Forced to look at him, a hunter took the Dragon Eye as Viggo grabbed her other hand before she could even try and slip it away from him. Turning Astrid around, and holding both her wrist behind her, he came close to her ear. It made shivers run down her body. "You're coming with me."

Breathing heavily, she kept trying to get free before the same hunters came back and re-tied her wrist. This time making sure that her hands were tied well to not get loosened. Held from her arms by the soldiers, Viggo grabbed her face and looked straight into her eyes.

The color of her eyes, it reminded him of the Aquamarine. He held onto her face tight, and the man tightened his grip as she tried moving away from his touch.

"Wait!" Hiccup yelled, being held back. "This is between you and me. Leave Astrid out of this!"

Hiccup's words didn't even bother Viggo, he laughed at him and simply let go of Astrid and snatched her headband. "Oh, that I know very well my dear Hiccup." Turning towards Hiccup he began to walk as he continued, "But, you dear girlfriend will do a perfect slave."

Hiccup gritted his teeth in anger, and fear of what Viggo had gloated about. Just as he was about to say something, he coughed blood as he was punched in the stomach, this time not by the hunters but by Viggo himself. Letting him drop, he fell to his knees trying to recover from the sudden attack. Viggo slowly lowered his body and whispered to Hiccup's ear, "or maybe even a wife."

Astrid not being too far, overheard him. He couldn't be serious! Desperately she began to struggle, which only brought her two things; her headband being thrown to the ground in-front of Hiccup and a hunter handing Viggo his sword before he raised it.

Feeling her world become slow, Astrid felt a strength flow around her body. She couldn't allow this to happen! Feeling her strengths come back, and knowing well that the hunters had stopped holding her tight after she stopped struggling. Taking a big risk, and still with a bound wrist, she ran towards them, slipping away from the hunters like the time she was captured by Ryker. "Hey, get her!" One of the hunters yelled in alarm. Astrid could have cared less of them, she ran as much as she could even with her bound wrist, Passing right past Viggo she fell on her knees right in front of her boyfriend.

Breathing heavily, she looked at Viggo with a fearless expression. He had stopped his attack and now held his sword under Astrid's chin, lifting it slowly as she also lifted her head. His eyes quickly caught a few tears that were being held back by her.

"Don't you dare," Astrid said. Feeling beads of sweat down her face as she felt the blade in her skin. Viggo moved the blade away from her. No, she couldn't be hurt. At least yet.

Raising an eyebrow, Holding his sword with one hand, and his other curled to a fist and still holding her headband. "Get up." He said, his eyes looking over Hiccup. Rage grew, how could a warrior like her even be into a man like Hiccup. He was too naive, weak even. He cared too much for dragons. And the fact that he was able to make Viggo look like a fool so many times only added to his anger!

Astrid kept herself from showing any fear. "Who are you to tell me what to do?"

The man growled in annoyance, even if in the back of his head he knew very well she wasn't going to be speaking like that to him for long. "Last chance. Get up."

Astrid shocked her head, lowering her head as a way to show she wasn't going to be listening to him. "Not a chance." Having her head still lowered her eyes looked up at him, from Viggo's point of view it made her look more confident and angry rather than worried or scared. "I'm no--" She was stopped mid-sentence both out of pain and surprise! She yelped at the hand gripping her hair, and due to the pain, she was forced to stand. "Ah!"

"Don't you dare touch her!" Hiccup stared helplessly as he could only watch how Astrid was being hurt!

Gripping into her hair, Viggo forced Astrid to stand. He quickly let go of her hair before tossing her back to his men. "Restrain her, she won't be distracting me from my plan any longer." Turning towards Hiccup, he threw Astrid's headband in front of Hiccup, Panicked he could only watch as she was forced to the floor and Viggo's men began tying ropes around her ankles and even in her thighs. Doing his best he grabbed the headband and looked at it for a short second

"No! Viggo take me!" He said in worry, "take me but let her go!"

Chuckling, he simply signaled a hunter standing behind Astrid. The hunter flipped a long cloth over her head, pulling it tight and knotting it under her braid. "Not a chance, Hiccup." Not taking his sigh away from Astrid, he watched as she struggled to loosen her gag.

The hunter grabbed more sets of ropes and quickly tied ropes pinning her arms tight against her body. Restrained, she wasn't ready as she felt one of the hunters hefted her over his shoulder. Raising his hand, Astrid watched helplessly as she was being taken away, Seeing what was happening, with wide eyes she watched as Viggo raised his sword once more. This time she couldn't do anything as he stabbed him. She felt her heart stop, over a million memories flashed before her eyes. Asking herself over and over; but where? In his heart or his side?

This broke her, she was immediately hurt at what was happening. Hiccup was gone! And to worst the matter, she was being taken away from everything and anything she ever knew.

Grabbing his sword back, and placing it back in his back. Smiling as he watched Astrid, he saw her face, no tears being held back anymore. The hunter holding Astrid was Steve. The hunter handed Astrid to Viggo's arms, as he took a better look into her.

Her expression showed a mixture of anger and even fear. Her eyes weren't puffy just yet, but Viggo knew very well they'll soon be. Her nose had become red from her tears. She hated him, now more than anything, she didn't know what he had planned. Or what in the world he intended by taking her. Looking at his eyes she knew that none of her questions would have an answer at that moment, a part that she couldn't say anything, to begin with. She hated his touch, the feeling of his hand moving her bags as they covered her left eye.

He didn't care for what she felt for him, all that came to his head was that she could finally belong to him alone and no one else. He didn't waste any time, knowing the volcano would soon be erupting because of the pressure as well as the rest of the dragon riders going to search for them.

At one point she tried getting free from his grasp, to which only resolved on the hunters laughing at her attempt and tears, She wasn't going anywhere, she could only accept her fate, cry or whimper. And even if she tried keeping herself strong she could only look back to the hill leading to the volcano. Her eyes looked straight at his face, and seeing him smile at her caused many red flags as she frowned. Looking away, trying to ease the pain happening in her mind and heart.

He chuckled, just as planned. Quickly hefting her off his arms he threw her without warning to his shoulder. Hearing her grunts trying to free herself he continued to walk to his ship.

In his mercy, a broken Astrid.

--

"No! I can't let him take her! He can't win!" He repeated in his mind, feeling as his body began losing its fight. He trembled in trying to keep himself in place.

He breathed slowly, seeing his blood on the floor and watching as his vision began getting blurry with his tears, Viggo stabbed him in his side, making it a slow death. Viggo knew well that Fishlegs could not heal as well as Berk's healer and Hiccup wouldn't make the flight back to Berk even if the other Riders Hurried.

His shaking hands turned to fists, he couldn't lose her! He had to fight this! Nor the beating or the blade could break his spirit!

With a sorrowful expression, he looked at her headband, "A- Astrid, I p- promise to g- get you back! N -no m- matter what h- happens. I- I pro- mise!" His words became soft, his world became blurry until finally it all went dark, and he lay unconscious in the ground.

--

The Rider's landed their dragons on the volcano, hoping to meet up with Hiccup and Astrid, But to their horror, it wasn't what they had hoped for. Stormfly and Toothless were both unconscious in the ground, and finally spotting Hiccup in the ground, unmoving.

Rushing towards their friend, they finally noticed the blood. He held Astrid's headband in his curled hand. "Bu -but, where's Astrid!?" Fishlegs began looking around before he watched Heather land with Windshear.

"What happened?!" she asked, seeing the twins as Tuffnut held him while Ruffnut placed pressure with her hands over his wound.

"Viggo!" Both the twins said, trying to wake him up.

Looking around, she walked straight towards her Dragon. "Stoick needs to know about this! And We have to get Hiccup to Gothi, she's the only one that can heal something this series."

Fishlegs placed his hand over Heather's shoulder and walked back towards the dragons, "Me and Snotlout will head back to the base and help them recover." The young man whimpered as the volcano began shaking, "You and the twins have to take Hiccup to berk and fast, the volcano can explode any moment from now."

Because the twins were the experts in knots, Tuffnut bandaged as tight as he could over Hiccup's wounds. And took off with his sister as Heather followed them both.

Both Fishlegs and Snotlout quickly hefted Stormfly and Toothless and began heading towards their base. Just as they landed at the stables they heard as the Volcano exploded, both friends quickly began working on the cure knowing they could be safe in the meantime.

Heather and the twins flew as fast as they could, she looked over Hiccup as he breathed very slowly. She had grabbed Astrid's headband in her hand and felt a tear down her cheek, she was her best friend. "Come on guys! We can't lose him!"

"Right!" Both twins yelled as they continued their flight back to Berk

Still, with the twisted start, I figured I actually liked how I began this story. I will continue as I rewrite many chapters, as you can see everything is still the same, just being more careful with getting all of the characters personalities correctly. And we know Astrid isn't the kind that gives up easily, which is why I changed and fixed a lot of stuff from her from the previous version.

-

Anyway, I hope everyone can enjoy the rest of the story.
