SUMMARY: Katsuki's training in Osaka just started and he was faced with an old foe. Will he be able to impress the agents in Osaka?
An Unexpected Encounter
"The training here is not like the others you've gone through. We specialize in training the mind," said the agent as he tapped at his temple.
Katsuki frowned, "The mind?"
The man nodded, "In a Pro Hero's line of duty, you will face many challenges that require you to think calmly and rationally. You shouldn't let emotions overwhelm you. Many have failed in their duty because they let their emotions get the best of them. Humans are driven by emotions and that is one of our natural flaws. Your ability to think rationally when under great pressure will be tested."
"We've read through your files. You've had sessions with Mishima-san," said the other agent, an elderly man. The man paused to gauge the boy's reaction. He noted the tense shoulders and narrowed eyes before he continued, "And you're still seeing her?"
"That's… none of your business," said Katsuki as he crossed his arms defensively. His frown deepening as he eyed them distrustfully. Katsuki didn't like how he couldn't see the man's eyes because of the sunglasses he wore.
"You'll be working with us so it is our business, whether you like it or not."
Katsuki clenched his fists, his nails digging painfully into his arms, "My sessions with her are meant to be confidential."
"They are. We have no information of what you discussed with her but we have your log data for every appointment you had with her. And this all started after THAT incident that happened last year, am I correct?"
The blonde inhaled and exhaled slowly to calm his nerves. He can't let these bastards rile him up. The agents stared at him with their calculating eyes and showing no emotions. He raised his head, "Yes."
Katsuki's eyes widened in fear at the sight of the man who kidnapped him months ago. The man who still haunts him in his dreams, Hanamoto Cho. His dark eyes stared at him coldly and memories of that day flooded his vision.
Hands cuffed together.
Bound to a chair.
Haru's decaying body lying on the bed.
The dead boy's hollowed eyes staring at him.
Criss-crossed red thread on Haru's wrist.
Katsuki realizing his lips were sewn shut.
Warm blood trailing down his chin.
He can't call for help.
He can't breathe!
Hanamoto grinned excitedly, "There's nowhere to run."
Katsuki took a step back and squeezed his eyes shut, "You're not real!"
Wrong move.
He was caught off guard when a fist hit his face and sent him sprawling on the floor. He stared at Hanamoto with wide eyes as the man chuckled, "Oh, I'm real ."
Katsuki quickly scrambled away from him. His back hit the wall behind him and he shakily pushed himself to his feet, "H-how? You're supposed to be in jail!"
Hanamoto didn't answer him. He drew out a knife and twirled it in his hand. The boy eyed the blade warily, remembering the man's quirk. He instinctively summoned explosion to his hands but nothing happened. He panicked for a moment and then he remembered the quirk restraining gloves. He cursed inwardly. He wanted to look for an escape but he didn't dare take his eyes off the blade in the man's hand. His heart was hammering madly in his chest. He took in a deep breath, Stay calm. Don't lose your shit, Katsuki! Don't let him get the best of you!
"You still haven't apologized to Haru."
"I don't owe him an apology. But you…" Katsuki's eyes narrowed when he remembered that day. Hawks got hurt because of him. He clenched his fists, letting the anger overcome his fear, "You owe my friend an apology!"
Hanamoto's eyes narrowed, "You will pay for your sins!"
The man lunged at him, aiming the knife for his throat. Katsuki quickly grabbed his wrist and pulled him forward, swung him around and then slammed him against the wall. The man lost his grip on the knife and it clattered to the floor. Katsuki swept it to the side with his feet. Hanamoto bared his teeth at him. He reached his other hand behind the boy and pulled him forward. He raised a knee and hit Katsuki in the gut.
The boy gasped as the air was knocked out of him with a whoosh. He felt a hand grab his hair and quickly raised his left arm to cushion his head as he was swung to the wall. He's not gonna let the bastard give him a concussion! The impact still shook him though.
Katsuki swung his right fist at the man's face and grinned when his fist hit flesh and bone. He raised a leg and gave him a powerful kick away from him. He stumbled a bit as the man still had a grip on his hair. He flinched as the man pulled off some strands of hair off his head as he was thrown back. The man roared as he rushed toward him, hands reaching to grab him. Katsuki ducked to avoid the hands and he slammed his elbow into the man's midsection. Hanamoto stumbled back, hands wrapped around his middle, gasping in pain, "You little-"
The boy didn't let him finish. He was forced to defend himself when Katsuki threw a combo of punches at him. His head snapped to the side when the boy landed a kick to his head. He shook his head dizzily and tried to focus his eyes on the boy. Katsuki fell to the floor and swept the man off his feet. He watched Hanamoto fall on his back with a grunt. Katsuki looked around quickly. The exit was to his right and the door was left open! He tensed when he realized Hanamato landed near the knife he had swept aside earlier. He saw the man reaching for the knife on the floor and he ran forward to kick it away from his reach.
Hanamoto grabbed his ankle and pulled him off balance. He landed on his front with a grunt. He looked over his shoulder and kicked the man's face with his other foot which landed with a satisfying crack. Katsuki grinned, "That one's for Hawks!"
As soon as the man released his ankle, Katsuki rolled to the side and flipped to his feet. The sight of bloodied lips froze him for a moment. He shook his head and turned to the exit. He ran for the open door, hoping the man didn't have any other weapon on him that he could throw into his exposed back.
As soon as he stepped out of the room, Katsuki took a right turn down the dark hallway. He needed to widen their distance and find a hiding place. Then he needed to find a way to take the gloves off his hands so he could use his quirk. He gritted his teeth in frustration when most of the doors he found were boarded up. He chanced a glance over his shoulder and he was relieved he didn't see Hanamoto. He soon found a door that wasn't boarded and it led to a stairway. He looked over the railing and slammed his fists on the metal bars when he saw the way down was blocked by some old broken furniture, "You're fuckin' kidding me!"
He looked up and wondered how many floors there were in the building and what floor he's currently on. He shook his head, he couldn't afford to waste time wondering, and ran up the stairs. The door on the next two floors wasn't locked so he quickly got inside. He squinted in the dark as he walked. He was able to make out what looked like rows of cubicles. He's in an office, he realized. His brows knitted in confusion, is this an abandoned office building?
Katsuki walked in the dark warily. He couldn't see any light and assumed that it's probably night time. He looked for anything sharp that he could use to cut the gloves. He didn't know how long it'll take for Hanamoto to find him so he had to be quick. After a few minutes of searching each desk, he finally found a pair of scissors. He couldn't see clearly if it's still sharp or not but he'll just have to try his luck. He carefully slid a blade into a glove's lip and tried to cut it. He scowled when it couldn't cut the glove at all. He gripped the scissors tightly, at least he can use it as a weapon.
There was a crash and he quickly hid himself. He heard the crinkling of glass and a grunt. He peeked over a partition and saw a silhouette of a man brushing at his clothes with his hands. His eyes glanced at the broken window where light filtered in, so it was night, and the windows had newspapers pasted on them. The light from the moon illuminated the man who had crashed through the window and Katsuki frowned when he didn't recognize him. Is this a friend or foe?
The man had a scar going down from his forehead down to his left cheek diagonally. He had long dark hair tied to a low ponytail behind his head and he's wearing a cap backwards. The man chuckled to himself, "Whew, thought I wouldn't make the jump."
He took out a device, that Katsuki couldn't make out, from his pocket. He tapped on it and then sighed loudly, "Well, I guess I better move on to the next task."
There was the sound of sirens and a helicopter from outside and the man turned his head toward them. He grinned in amusement, "They seriously think they could catch up with me, huh?"
Katsuki's eyes narrowed. If he's evading the police, that means he's a bad guy. He shifted his stance and accidentally knocked his elbow against a box. It fell to the floor with a thud and spilt its contents. The man's head snapped toward his direction and Katsuki cursed under his breath. His eyes widened when the man was suddenly in front of him, staring him down. His eyes gleaming in the dark.
Katsuki took a few steps back, raising the scissors in front of him defensively. The man's face split into a friendly smile that looked plastic. He bowed forward slightly to meet his height, "What's a kid like you doing here?"
"Back off, bastard!" said Katsuki.
The man straightened and put his hands on either side of his hips, "Hey, I was just curious! And that's not a polite way to address someone you just met!"
Katsuki glared at him, "Who the fuck are you?"
"Same question goes to you too, kid. This is an abandoned building. How'd you get in here? On this floor?"
Katsuki's grip on the scissors tightened, "I asked first!"
"I believe I was the first one to ask a question."
The man looked at the boy carefully and noted the gloves on his hands. His brows rose questioningly, "Why are you wearing those awful things?"
Katsuki took a step back when the man reached his hands forward, "Stay back!"
The man gave him a disarming smile, "Relax. This will only take a moment. It's gonna sting a little though."
Before Katsuki could react, the man grabbed his hands. He let out a startled cry when his hands felt like they just got an electrical shock. The scissors in his hand fell to the floor. He felt the gloves slid off his hands when the man pulled them. Katsuki rubbed his hands together to get rid of the burning sensation and eyed the man warily, "D-don't expect me to thank you."
"Hey now, didn't your parents teach you proper manners?" said the man with an amused smile. He inspected the gloves in his hands, "These are high-quality quirk restraining gloves. Why'd anyone put this on you, kid? You dangerous or something?"
"You can say that!" said Katsuki as he threw an explosive punch at the man, sending him crashing through the partitions and tables. The man groaned as he pulled himself up. The skin where Katsuki landed the punch was blistered and it hissed and bubbled as it healed. Katsuki's eyes narrowed as he tried to figure out the man's quirk. He's fast and he can heal? The man grinned maniacally, "Whoa! No wonder someone put those gloves on you, kid! You're dangerous!"
Katsuki bristled at the comment, "If you're a villain, I'm gonna take you down!"
The man laughed, "You kids and your dreams to be a hero. Lame! You should try the villain side! It's much more exciting! And with that quirk of yours, you'll be infamous!"
"Not interested!" cried Katsuki as he rushed toward the man who vanished from his sight and appeared behind him. Katsuki cursed under his breath, he's fast!
The man grabbed the back of his shirt and flung him across the room. Katsuki twisted in the air so he's facing the man and used his explosion to propel himself toward him. He landed both feet on the man's chest and sent him flying to the wall. The man laughed as he pulled himself out, "You're good, kid! But can you keep up?"
He vanished from the blond's sight again. Katsuki quickly put his hands together, "Stun grenade!"
He stumbled back when a fist hit his chest just as his palms exploded with a bright light. There was a startled cry from the man. Katsuki grabbed the man's wrist and twisted it behind his back. He kicked him behind the knees and then pressed a knee into the man's back, pinning him face down. He grabbed the man's other free wrist and had it pinned behind him too, "Move and I'll blow your hands off!"
The man chuckled, "That doesn't sound heroic at all, kid."
"Shut up!" said Katsuki as he pressed his knee down harder.
"Look, kid. If you're on the run, I can help you."
"I'm not on the run!"
The man frowned in confusion, "Then why were those gloves-"
"Bakugou-kun!"
Katsuki looked up to see Hanamoto and his heart stuttered for a moment before it registered in his mind. Did Hanamoto just addressed him by his name? He watched as the man's body seemed to shimmer and revealed a man he felt like he had met before. The man raised his hands placatingly, "At ease. It's me, Kubo."
"W-what's going on here?!" asked Bakugo, confused.
"I'll explain later. We need to apprehend that man!"
The villain sighed, "This was fun while it lasted but I got somewhere to be."
"You're not going- Waah!" there was an explosion under them and he fell to the lower floor with the villain.
"Bakugou-kun!" cried Kubo alarmed as he watched the boy fell into the hole in the floor. He jumped down after them, calling for backup through his communicator. He was relieved to see the boy unharmed as he pushed himself up.
Katsuki growled as he wiped the dust off his face, "That bastard!"
"Ya alright, kid?"
"I'm fine!"
"Where'd he go?"
"I think he headed for the stairs!" said Katsuki.
The two quickly dashed for the stairway. Kubo slammed the door open and there was smoke obscuring their vision. They ran down the stairs but the smoke was thicker and irritating their eyes and throat. They couldn't go down any further. Kubo pulled Katsuki with him and they entered the hallway of the current floor. The two gasped for air as their coughing subsided. Katsuki rubbed at his irritated eyes, "We need to catch up to him!"
Kubo grabbed the boy as he was reaching for the doorknob, "Wait!"
"He's escaping! We need to stop him!
"I just received orders not to let ya engage the villain."
"What?! I was fine on my own!"
"He was just toying with ya. He could've killed ya easily if he wanted," said Kubo.
"Who is he anyway?!"
"We don't have his name but we know he's somehow involved with drug trafficking. We have heroes hunting him for months. None of them were able to catch him!"
"He's got a speed quirk, do you guys know that?"
"We do. He somehow knows our plan so he's always a step ahead of us. It was just luck that he dropped in here. Uchida-senpai just directed nearby heroes to get in the area, let them handle this."
Katsuki scowled, "I had him pinned."
Kubo smiled, "I saw. Anyway, uhh, sorry for hitting ya in the face."
"I threw back a punch. So it's even."
The man chuckled and rubbed his cheek, "I guess so. I'll escort ya back to HQ and have Uchida-senpai return yer memories."
"Wait, what's going on again?"
"It'll make sense when ya get yer memories back."
When they exited the building, they had to take a different stair on the opposite side of the building, there was a small group of heroes and police securing the area. A woman with caramel-coloured hair ran toward them, "Are you two alright?"
"We're fine. Nothing to worry about," said Kubo.
She nodded and turned her attention to Katsuki, "Hello, Bakugou-kun. I'm Utsushimi Kanna."
Katsuki stared at her warily and Kubo cleared his throat, "She's the one who put that illusion on me. It only lasted for about fifteen minutes so that's why it wore off when I found ya with the villain."
"What's your quirk?" asked the boy curiously.
The man scratched his cheek consciously, "Ah, it's nothing special. It just makes me quite durable."
"So, you didn't feel any pain at all when I hit you?" Katsuki deadpanned.
"It did hurt when you kicked me in the face."
The boy grumbled under his breath. He stiffened when a hand landed on his back and looked up to meet Kubo's eyes, "Ya passed yer test by the way."
"Huh?"
The smack to the back of his head was unexpected, as well as the rush of jumbled memories returning. He rubbed the back of his head and raised his head to glare at the agent named Uchida Shuu. The man seemed older than Kubo, probably older than Ishikawa too. The man had narrow dark eyes that looked bored look and his short-dark hair was slicked back with a few loose strands falling over his forehead. The corner of the man's lip twitched upward, "Welcome back."
"Do you have to hit me that hard?!" asked Katsuki irritably as he rubbed the back of his head.
"Not really. Forced of habit," said Uchida monotonously.
"That's a lie!" said Kubo. He tensed when Uchida sent him a glare.
Katsuki jumped when Kubo's fingers brushed the back of his neck. He felt something being pulled off his skin and turned to see what it was. The man showed him a small, flat and round device that looked like an ECG electrode. Katsuki raised his hand to rub his neck consciously and eyed the object, "What's that?"
"A brain scanner," said Kubo as he put it in a small metal box.
"A what?!"
"We were looking at yer brainwaves, ya know? Just to see how that squishy pink stuff works in that thick noggin of yers!" said the man as he poked at Katsuki's temple.
The boy slapped his hand away in annoyance, "Stop that!"
Uchida sighed as he scratched his neck, "We did say we specialize in training the mind. We need to get data on how you work under pressure. That's the point of the test."
Katsuki pulled a face, "So, you guys wiped my memories, knock me out, left me in an abandoned building, put quirk restraining gloves on me, and you," he pointed at Kubo, "Show up looking like Hanamoto... it's all a test?"
"Well, ya missed out a few details but yeah, that's the gist of it," said Kubo with a shrug.
"It was supposed to be a fifteen minutes test where Kubo's supposed to threaten your life, " Uchida made air quotes with his fingers, "And put a lot of pressure on you. But then that villain crashed in and you got sidetracked."
Katsuki's brow twitched, " I got sidetracked?"
Uchida waved his hand dismissively, "Doesn't matter, you still did exceptionally well in what could be considered a life-threatening situation. Well, you even did better than some of our older recruits. So, congratulations! You passed! We'll proceed with the next step of your training."
Katsuki frowned at the man's sarcastic tone. His brows knitted together when he remembered something, "Wait, where's the other guy? The geezer?"
Kubo snorted and slapped a hand over his mouth to stifle his giggles, "Don't let him hear ya say that! Yer gonna get in serious trouble!"
Uchida scratched his chin, "Imawa-san's gotta talk with the police about the break-in. You'll see him tomorrow, maybe. Kubo, I think it's time you send him back to his hotel."
Kubo saluted, "Yes, senpai!"
"Wait, I still have questions!" said Katsuki.
"We'll talk tomorrow. It's already late and you need to have a proper rest for tomorrow," said the older agent.
"But-"
"C'mon, Bakugo-kun!" said Kubo as he pushed the boy toward the door.
Katsuki growled, his hands popping, "Stop pushing me!"
"Ya either move or I'll throw ya over my shoulder."
"Fine!"
"When ya wake up, it'll make sense. Yer brain needs time to sort those memories Uchida-senpai slapped back into yer brain."
The boy frowned, "Does he really have to slap people's head when he uses his quirk?"
"Yes. It's annoying and inconvenient but it works," said Uchida.
"And he gets to slap people!" Kubo added with a grin. He sensed Uchida's eyes on him and he quickly ushered Katsuki out of the room.
Katsuki followed the agent quietly as they headed down to the basement parking. He was sorting through his recent memories but they were still all jumbled up, like overlapping videos. The more he tried to remember certain details, the more his head hurt. He sighed and rubbed his throbbing temple. Kubo opened the backseat door and gestured for him to get in. He sat in the back with a small scowl and his arms crossed. The agent got into the driver seat and started the car. He looked at Katsuki through the overhead mirror, "Ya know, it's been a while since we have someone sent to train with us. We're not as popular as the other facilities and we have the least manpower."
That piqued the blond's interest, "Yeah? Why's that?"
The man shrugged, Katsuki concluded it's an annoying habit of his, and smiled, "Not sure but my guess is that Imawa-san tends to fail recruits he deemed unworthy for the Hero Program."
"He the 'scary guy' the guys up North talking about?"
"Not sure about that. They may be talking about Uchida-senpai! Ahahaha, he has a bad habit of messing with people's memories so they don't know which memory is real and which ones are fake."
Katsuki shrunk back in his seat, that didn't sit well with him. He wondered if the man had altered his memories somehow. Kubo seemed to sense his discomfort, "Don't worry about it, Bakugou-kun! Uchida-senpai's quirk only lasts for about 24 hours if he didn't slap your memories back together. Though if ya ask me, I'd rather he smack my noggin' than having to wait for my memories to rearrange themselves after the time limit. You'll get one of the worst migraines in your life!"
"Is that so?" asked Katsuki as he relaxed a little.
The man nodded, "We did a little experiment on that. I assure ya, it's better getting smacked."
Katsuki nodded absentmindedly, "Who else works with you?"
"Hmm, Imawa Eizen is our boss. Uchida Shuu-senpai is second in command. Don't mess with them, ever. Then there's me, and five others. You'll meet everyone properly tomorrow."
"You weren't kidding about being understaffed, were you?"
The man chuckled, "Nope. But we're able to get things done because of Susumu-kun's quirk! We're still waiting for HQ to send in more agents to work with us so we're trying our best to get most of the paperwork done."
"What's his quirk?"
"You'll find out tomorrow."
Katsuki scowled in annoyance, "Just tell me!"
"Nah. I'd rather not overload yer brain with too much info. It's still recalibrating itself! Don't wanna short circuit it!" The man joked with a chuckle.
The boy pursed his lip and remained quiet. He looked outside and noticed how the street was mostly empty and most of the stores had closed. He glanced at the clock on the car's dashboard and was surprised to see it was nearly midnight. It didn't take them long to reach their destination and they were soon pulled over in front of the hotel he was staying with his parents. Kubo turned around and handed him a card, which he then realized was the card to his hotel room, "I'll come pick ya up around ten tomorrow. Get some rest, alright?"
Katsuki snatched the plastic card from his hand, "Thanks."
"Good night, Bakugou-kun!" said the man with a smile.
When Katsuki walked into his family's hotel room, it was dark except for the lone lamp in the corner where he saw his father sitting on a chair. There were some papers strewn across the coffee table in front of him and he was sketching in his sketchbook. The man's brows were scrunched together as he was deep in concentration or maybe thought. Katsuki approached him quietly, "I'm back."
Masaru jumped a little, caught off guard as he missed his son's entrance. He pushed his glasses up his nose, "Katsuki! You're back!"
"What're you doing up this late?" asked his son as he took a seat on the other empty chair across him.
"I was waiting for you. And I also got some work to do."
Katsuki's eyes skimmed over the papers on the table. They were a mix of documents, magazine pages and some of his parents' sketches, "Well, it's really late. You should head to bed, dad."
Masaru smiled at him, "I will. As soon as I'm done with this one. How was your day? You were gone the whole day."
The blond boy propped his chin on a palm, "It was okay I guess? They said I passed their test."
His father beamed proudly, "That's good news! As expected from you, Katsuki!"
Katsuki felt his cheeks warming, "Thanks."
"You should go clean up and head to bed. I'm sure you're exhausted. What time will Kubo-san come get you tomorrow?"
"Around ten o'clock."
"I'll be sure to wake you up an hour before."
"I can get up on my own!"
"Well, just in case," said Masaru with a light chuckle. He watched his son got up from his seat and brought a hand up to cover his mouth as he yawned. Katsuki walked toward his bed and grabbed the folded towel and his clothes before heading toward the bathroom. Masaru went back to finishing his sketch quietly in his little corner. He looked up briefly when his son emerged from the bathroom a few minutes later. The boy face planted himself on his bed. Masaru shook his head and chuckled quietly.
Katsuki grabbed his phone that he had left on the bedside table. He scrolled through a string of texts from Izuku, Kitamura and Ishikawa. He quickly went through Izuku's text which was about him witnessing a hero in action that day. There were some blurry photos and a video too. Kitamura's text was a reminder that he needed to send his report on his training at the end of the week. He paused when he stared at Ishikawa's name. He wondered if it's about Hawks. He sighed and clicked on it.
"How are you, Bakugou-kun? I hope you are well. You may have heard rumours about a terrifying agent in the Osaka branch. "
Katsuki paused to think about what Hayashi had told him. He then continued reading the text, "Don't mind them. These people can be quite strict and may appear heartless and cruel but they are not. They actually have good intentions. Your training with them may be a bit… difficult but I believe you can handle it. You are an extraordinary child."
It felt weird knowing how much Ishikawa believed in him. He wondered if the man was relaying what Hawks wanted to say to him.
" You must be worried about Hawks. He's wrapping up his mission. He'll return home the day after tomorrow. Don't worry, I'll make sure he takes a long break. The boy deserves it ."
Katsuki grinned in amusement. Looks like Hawks will always be a kid to the man. Ishikawa never did adopt Hawks legally but he can see how much the man had become the winged hero's father figure. He knew Ishikawa cared about his charge more than he should and he's taken good care of him. Katsuki remembered the day Hawks came to him for help a few years back. The winged teenager had asked him what he should give Ishikawa on Father's Day. It was the first time he saw the man shed tears.
" We will greet you at the airport. I'm sure you're excited to meet Hawks after months of not seeing each other. He wanted to go visit you but as a Pro Hero, he doesn't have a lot of free time to go around."
Katsuki sighed, he knew that. It was hard for him and it must be hard for Hawks too. They got used to being around each other for about six years and suddenly they're apart. He didn't want to admit it but he felt lonely without his training partner and friend. The next sentence caught his eyes, " I… didn't tell him about the Sasayaki incident. He couldn't be distracted on this mission. I also believe you wouldn't want him to know. However, I think you should talk to him about it. It's your choice. "
Is this what he meant from his last text? Katsuki exited the app and put his phone back on the table. He rolled over, pulling the comforter with him and wrapped it around himself. He peeked at his father sleepily, "Don't stay up too late."
Masaru looked up from his sketchbook and smiled, "I'm almost done here."
Katsuki muttered something and buried himself deeper under the comforter, only his blond spikes sticking out. Masaru grinned at the sight. It's rare to see his son looking adorably silly lately. He picked up his cell phone from the coffee table and took a couple of photos to keep. He'll show it to Mitsuki in the morning. She loves keeping any adorable photos of their son. She even has a few albums of them as her secret collection. He wondered how long she'll be able to keep it a secret from their son. He's sure Katsuki would try to destroy them if he knew of their existence. But knowing Mitsuki, she'll probably have digital copies saved online in a cloud drive or something. She wouldn't want to lose all those blackmail worthy materials. Masaru grinned when he thought about how those two are so similar.
He finished his work and then turned off the light. He checked the door and make sure it was locked before he slid into bed and pulled his wife against him. She frowned in her sleep and mumbled incoherently. Masaru chuckled, "Good night, honey."
Six stared at the city with a smirk. The sound of siren wailed in the distant. The fabric of his shirt and his hair flapping in the wind. He sighed as he scratched his head, "Too bad I didn't get a sample from that kid. Boss might find him interesting with that quirk of his!"
He stuck his hands into his pocket and realized he had one of the gloves he took from the boy, "Oh!"
He stared at the glove, his brain working slowly. He grinned when he realized that he does have a sample. He took out his cell phone and typed a message quickly, then he hit the send button. His phone buzzed when he received a reply. His grin widened, "Looks like I'm heading back to the factory!"
A/N: Finally posted! It felt like it's been ages that I'm working on this chapter. I keep making changes on a few scenes. I hope everyone enjoyed this chapter! Were you able to identify Number Six before I mention his name at the end?
