Hi guys! I'm at it again with another fanfiction! This will be my third so far and I will try to make it fairly long. I know this story is over used, but I will try to mix it up. My life is sort of a mess right now, but I will try to post often. Maybe once or twice a week. If you have any questions for me just review and I will answer them in the next chapter I post. Also I have created a profile so you can go look at that if you want! Remember to review, I love to hear feedback from my readers! AAAH PEOPLE KEEP DISTRACTING ME WHILE I'M TRYING TO POST. H.E.L.P. I KEEP HAVING TO HIT THEIR HAND AWAY FROM MY KEYBOARD SO THEY DON'T POWER OFF MY COMPUTER. ANYWAYS, BEFORE THEY FREAKING BREAK MY MOUSE ENJOY THE STORY. (they don't want their identity on here that's why I'm saying they and their btw)

Annabeth POV

New school, new home, new friends, new year. I got out of my car, waving goodbye to my dad, and started heading to the large school in front of me. Pfft. I'm not nervous, why should I be? Oh I don't know, Annabeth, maybe you are because-I ignored the nagging voice in my head and pushed through the front doors of the school. Teenagers swarmed the halls, some were catching up with friends, some were setting up their locker, some were even already making out. Gross. I walked down the hallway looking for my locker, avoiding any social contact. I got to my locker and opened it, stuffing my school stuff in it with no mercy. My backpack felt relatively lighter, less excruciatingly heavy. Highschool does not care for their student's poor backs. My golden blonde hair was a rats nest that sat on my head in an unruly manner. My grey eyes were tired and all I was wearing was an oversized sweatshirt that said 'screw it' and sweatpants. Yeah, I don't believe in first impressions. I blinked my tired eyes and shook myself out of my funk. I should try to make the most of the new year and not miss out on so much because...oh forget it. The bell rang and I trudged to my homeroom. I walked into room #104, and saw my homeroom teacher, Ms. Hellony, sitting behind her neat desk. She smiled at me and motioned to a seat next to a boy with black hair. I self consciously walked across the room to my seat. I sat down and placed my backpack on the floor. The boy next to me looked across at me and smiled. He was kind of cute. He had gorgeous sea green eyes that seemed to sparkle with delight. His black hair was messy, but in a cute way.

"Hi, I'm Percy. Percy Jackson."

"Hi...I'm-" I was cut off by the teacher's voice.

"Good morning students! We have a new friend I would like you all to meet!" she gestured to me enthusiastically. I slumped down in my chair, not at all liking the attention.

"Why don't you come up, Annabeth?" she stood there politely waiting for me to get up and talk in front of the entire freaking class. Whyyy, oh, whyyy? I got up, head lowered, and walked to the front of the class. I stood next to Ms. Hellony and looked at her with a pleading look. She smiled, encouraging me to proceed.

"What am I supposed to say?" I whispered awkwardly to her.

"Oh, just your name, your age, and something special about you!" she told me. I nodded and took a deep breath,

"My name is Annabeth Chase, I'm fifteen, and something special about me is...um I like to draw?" I said warily. The teacher nodded, signifying that I could go sit down.

"Thank you, Annabeth. That was lovely."

I sat back down and put my face on my desk. I heard a voice coming from beside me.

"Annabeth, what a pretty name!"

I looked up and saw Percy grinning at me. Did he just compliment me? My heart kind of fluttered and smiled back at him, it's been a while since I've heard one of those.

"T-thank you," I said, aware of the blush creeping up my cheeks.

"Hey, do you want to hang with me and my friends at lunch?" he asked.

Did he just ask me if I wanted to sit with him at lunch? I felt sort of...giddy. Sure he was cute and kind, but it's not like I have a crush on him.

"Sure, why not?"

Ooo! next chapter will be posted shortly :3
