" why is he in my class?!?" i thought as i pulled my hood over my head and covered my face with the facemask i carry in my bag. " good morning class !" the teacher said as she stood near her table , a hand wrapped around the terrace boy . " we have a new kid this year " she said smiling at the boy . " why dont you introduce yourself?" she said pushing the boy foward. " um... hi guys , im Alexander Irving ..." he gave a small smile before looking at the teacher . literally all the girls in the class started swooning over his smile. "...shy huh?" i thought . " just call me Alec " he said . " ok alec why dont you sit with , miss dawn ? " the moment the teacher said that , i covered my face with my book and lowered my head so that he wouldnt catch me . " mal please put your book down . " the teacher said as the boy alec walked over to my seat " and congratulations , you finally got a benchmate" . i silently put my bag down and pulled out my french book ." right ! thanks god im very grateful" i thought. " uh...hi?" the boy said smiling at me. " ... hello..." i whispered so that he wouldnt recognise my voice . " im alec ... whats your name ? " . i kept quite . " well seems like someones doesnt want to talk now ..." he said as he pulled out his book . during the whole class before the break i hid my face from him . not that i was shy or anything , i didnt want to fight here in the class because im sure if he finds out i was the one who fell on him he will literally blow my head off.

finally the break had arrived . the moment the bell rang i scurried off into the corridor before he followed me . when i reached the the cafeteria i went to take a tray for the food. i caught up with matt on the way " yo monkey butt!" i called out to him. " oh hey panda ! how was the first day ?" matt asked smiling at me . " well kind of made a new enemy..." i said awkwardly . matt just rolled his eyes and chuckled . " how was yours?" i asked him as our turn arrived to get the food . oh goodie ! there is mashed potatoes , yoghurt and pasta!!!!! my favourite ! . " well i met a friend of mine from the previous school " matt said gleaming . " thanks maam!" i exclaimed as i rushed to our tables . " why are you wearing a mask though ?" matt asked as we reached the tables . " oh right-" just as i said that ..." YOU ARE MY BENCHMATE?!?" came a voice from our table . when i looked up i was literally staring at alec face to face . " what no im not -" i said defending myself . " oh right you have a twin with a hybrid e-" i covered his mouth before he could say anything. " keep your mouth shut before i shut your life!" i whisper yelled at him. " get your filthy hands off me ! " alec exclaimed . " ok...so you two know eachother ?" matt asked , looking at me and alec who were giving eachother death stares. " oh! this troll is my benchmate!" i said putting my tray down on the table beside stella. " yea and this moron thought she could fly and she literally jumped over me before school ! " alec exclaimed in anger. " excuse me ! that is my route to the school ! " i yelled ." why were you on the terrace in the first place ! the terrace is forbidden" . " i was on the terrace beacuse stella told me to wait for her there and she didnt even return after that " alec said as he looked at stella who was awkwardly sipping her water. " ok guys lets not make a commotion here and eat our lunch before the break time runs out " matt said taking seat infront of stella .

even during the break i and alec were giving eachother death stares as if to say " i would kill you if i could ". after the break i had a chemistry so the class started moving towards the chemistry lab. and i dont know what did i ever do to anyone cause alec was literally my partner during the chemistry class too. " so class today we are going to learn the reaction of hydrochloric acid and sodium bicarbonate. " the mr jones said as he held the test tube so that the class could see what was happening. " so...do you want to make notes of the observation while i perform the experiment ?" alec asked . " yeah ok " i said as i grabbed the sheet of paper on the table and pen. " so children pay close attention to this experiment if done wrong your hand might get brunt ." the teacher said . " so for the doulbe displacement reaction we first put in the sodium hydrogen carbonate and add a solution of hydrochloric acid . the hydrochloric acid will react rapidly to form carbon dioxide and water and sodium chloride " the entire class were just blankly staring at the teacher as we saw the reaction take place . " now that you saw how it is done ,. i want you all to try and perform this experiment " the teacher said . " dont panic ill be observing you all. if you do need anything just approach me" saying this the professor sat down.

i and alec were quite the whole time during the experiment . but then alec broke the ice " hey , uh why are all the girls staring at me like that ?" he asked pointing to two girls sitting adjacent to us . " you say staring i say they are swooning " i said giving a stare at the girl. she quickly turned her head back forward. " they think you are ' cute ' " i said , writing the quantity of hydrochloric acid we put in the test tube . " but you must be used to all this stuffs right ? " i said helping him mix the hydrochloric acid with the sodium bicarbonate. just then ... " HEY ALEC !!!!!!" a girl called out . " shit!" alec exclaimed as the test tube fell off from his hands and fell on my left hand . " oh my god ! are you okay?!?" alex said grabbing my hand . whereas for me , i don't know why I couldn't feel anything. " you and your messy hands !!! " i exclaimed . " oh my goodness !!!!" the teacher rushed towards us " miss dawn , mr irving are you okay?" the teachers eyes immediately fell on my hands. " goodness! child go wash your hands " the teacher panicked as he looked at my hand.

i literally ran out of the chemistry lab feeling baffled , curious , and a bit scared . i walked up to the washroom and gently applied water on my right palm " he is a real troll , that boy " i muttered to myself. but when i notied the acid burn it was a peculiar shape.it was the shape i dreaded the most ... it was a sign mixed of the Sagittarius and Capricorn zodiac sign . " why is it back again?" i asked myself as i tried tearing the skin off but it only hurt more . " i am so dead !" i thought as i walked out of the washroom covering my hand with my hoodie jacket . i really had no idea how this sign literally appears the more i try to ignore it. at first i couldn't help but draw these signs ,but mom and aunt flora put a stop to it . then i started seeing. this sign nearly every day to school . as i grew old , the signs keot getting lesser and lesser . so now why did it appear again?!?.

i dug my hand in my pocket and just walked up to my usual classroom cause out next lecture was in there . " oh ! hey sis !" i heard a voice from near my class. it was matt. "all good ?" he asked smiling at me . i literally just ran and hugged him and cried a little . " hey mal !!! whats wrong ? did someone bully you again?!?" matt asked making me look at him . i shook my head and showed him my palm where the sign appeared. matt gasped and clutched my hand . " h-how did this ...?" . " we were in the chemistry lab and , we had the double displacement reaction , alec accidently spilled hydrochloric acid on my hand . " i said looking at my palm worriedly . " ugh that moron i told him to be careful around you!" matt said facepalming himself . " now whats with this ? why is this back?!?" i asked him . matt grabbed my hand and pulled out a bandage from his pocket ." for now , let this be on " matt said bandaging my palm " lets talk about this at home" . matt ruffled my hair and smilied at me before bidding me goodbye .

i decided to go and sit in the class , because i didn't want to go to the lab again . i went in the classroom and slumped on the bench . " why is all this happeneing to me? what did i ever do to you god?!?" i groaned as i placed my head on the bench . i thought i would drift off to sleep but then that troll entered the class " hey " alec said approaching me . " hows your palm?" . i just showed him the bandaged and and turned my head to face the window. alec sighed and sat down on the bench in front of me . " im really sorry ..." alec said looking outside . " yea its okay! it wasnt your fault..." i said. " to make you conduct the experiment . " i thought.

i thought my day couldnt get any worse ... but you know what ! the more i think my life improves the the more it disapoints me ...
