what I mean is..enjoy the second chapter...

"there ya go" beck handed me my coffee as he slid in the seat next to me. i flashed him a small smile of appreciation and took the drink from him.

"did you see sinjin's new slap tweet?" beck asked, getting out his phone. i could probably guess what the creep posted about, i shook my head anyway. He smiled and gave me his phone.

SINJIN VAN CLEEF:

Do you guys think love potions work? I'M COMING JADE!

Feeling - Determined

Comments

ROBBIE SHAPIRO: You ended up with a broken wrist last time you tried this, remember?

CAT VALENTINE: ROBBIESHAPIRO - My brother got a broken wrist when he turned the steering wheel too hard! He's better now!

TORI VEGA: CATVALENTINE - Why do these bad things keep happening to him?

ANDRE HARRIS: TORIVEGA - For real! Cat, does he have something he accidentally says and then something bad happens? Mine is 'Train' whenever i say it, the train comes...like right now...Tori i'll be late to school.

SINJIN VAN CLEEF: Woah, look at all these comments!

"what a loser" i laughed and handed him back the phone. the comments were better than the actual post itself.

"oh and i missed you too," beck said, following it up by pulling me in for a quick kiss.

"huh?" i appreciated the kiss but what?

"you know" i looked at him confused still. "your slap post this morning" he continued. ahhh the slap post. "yeah"

i didn't have the heart to tell him it wasn't about him. it was about Cat. we haven't been spending much time together and i really miss her. ironically. she literally is everything i hate about people. if i made a list of everything i dislike in a person, she would perfectly fit everything. but for some reason i just don't hate her. i kind of hate myself a little for not hating her. she's just...Cat.

the bell finally ringed. we grabbed our things and headed our separate ways to our lockers. i REALLY didn't feel like doing anything today. much less, class. i might just blow them off, sit in the janitors closet maybe?

i sighed and just walked to my next class. BORING. then the next class. BORING. then the next. ALSO BORING. and finally, sikowitz. the least boring class in the whole school. and that's because the dude is a maniac. i opened the door to find Cat there. also early. "hiiiii" she said with a grin.

i couldn't help but feel my lips tug upward. i took my seat next to her. "watcha doin?"

"sitting here"

she looked at me silly, still a smile plastered across her face. her eyebrows shot up within a second, "oh! i had a really weird dream today!" she said, then slapped her hand over her mouth quickly, shaking her head. now i was interested. "what dream?" i asked.

"n-nothing! oh! do you think dreams mean anything?" she asked, changing the subject. i went with it.

"meh. could be i guess. depends if you want it to mean something." clearly whatever she dreamt about she didn't want me knowing. which is weird because, 1. the girl can never keep her mouth shut, and 2. she always has me listen to her pointless dreams. whether i want to or not.

"so if i want my dream to mean nothing, then it'll mean nothing?"

"i guess so"

she nodded and looked away. her eyebrows furrowed, small creases between them. i had the sudden urge to just reach over and smooth them out.

the bell rang again and students began pouring in the classroom, along with sikowitz.

beck gave me a look but quickly wiped it off and sat down next to andre.

sikowitz sat down on the steps, seemingly unbothered to even say 'good afternoon' to us. he then proceeded to laugh about something on his phone. wasn't it him who said we were too enveloped in our phones? i shrugged and turned my chair to face cat. she looked confused but did the same. everyone took that as their cue to copy, they began turning chairs and talking to their partners. soon the whole room was filled with again, pointless conversations.

out of the corner of my eye i saw beck turning to try and come over to me and cat, i quickly shook my head at him. he raised an eyebrow but nodded anyway. i turned back to cat who was staring at me intently. her big brown eyes studying mine. her eyebrows furrowed only slightly, while she absentmindedly played with strands of her red hair.

i always wondered why she dyed her hair red in the first place. i never cared to ask but in honesty, it did always intrigue me. why would someone like cat dye her hair such a bold color? maybe for attention? i mean i guess people didn't really pay attention to her. but it was a weird thing. yes, she was very popular, people loved hanging around with her, hence why she was almost never alone. but they never really listened to her. they never really listened to all her crazy stories about her brother. i did. i didn't like to admit that but i do, i like listening to her. to see things a completely different way. to see how cat's world looks.

my phone let out a beep making both girls jump back. how long were they just staring at each other? she noticed cat's cheeks imprinted in red. cute.

she checked her phone. from beck.

Beck: Hey, you okay?

i looked at him incredulously and he just shrugged.

Me: Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?

Beck: Because you're just staring at Cat. Did she do something?

Me: I was just thinking. I'm fine.

Beck: Okay.

when i looked back at her, she was looking down at her shoes and running a quick finger over her lips. "do you wanna do something today cat?"

her face shot up, a huge smile already taking over her face. "yes! yes!" her little dimple showing on her cheek. "well i was thinking i could just come by your house and sleep over?"

i could almost swear another blush came across her face. "yeah! and then we can make red velvet cupcakes! and watch movies!" she squealed. i laughed at her childishness.

"sure" she suddenly threw her arms around me, quickly so i wouldn't have time to throw her off me. it's happened before. more than once, might i add.

i decide there's no point in making a scene and just hug her back. plus, her hugs were always nice. she pulled back with an eyebrow arched. "you smell like coffee" she stated.

don't i always smell like coffee? it's practically the only thing i drink. "well i had a coffee this morning..."

she nodded and looked down to her shoes again so i couldn't see her face, "i like that smell."

she followed up quickly and looked up at me. "it also tastes really good" i thought she hated coffee? she said it made her too energetic.

"you had a coffee?" i blurted out before i could stop myself. her eyes seemed to wander my face a little before answering, "kind of"

i just let it go. i probably won't get any more answers out of that girl. she suddenly started talking about something her brother did. then she trailed on to what movies we can watch today. then, she trailed on about the newest items in the sky store. she suddenly came to an abrupt stop, staring me dead in the eyes.

"can i have cereal?" she asked, her lips already forming into a small pout. i let out a sigh and reached for my bag, pulling out a bag or fruit loops. i looked at cat, then the bag, then back to cat, a smirk growing.

"you want me to feed it to you again?" i asked, referring to when i shoved cereal in her mouth when we were auditioning ladies for tori's stupid play. her eyebrows immediately shot up, her cheeks turning the color of her hair. hm. not the reaction i was expecting but i'll take it still.

her own smirk formed, a devious looking one. "sure" she replied, leaning forward, opening her mouth. my own smirk fell as i looked at her. did she just...? i hated loosing but this was something i'll have to loose. next time cat...next time. i huffed and handed her the bag. she pulled back with a satisfied smirk.
