Disclaimer: I saw these really sick shoes the other day! I don't own them though..much like Victorious. *Sigh*
Cat sighed. She was laying down staring at the ceiling on Tori's bed. Both girls were. Cat would've been with Jade this weekend but she had been avoiding her like the black plague all week since that Monday. Cat wondered if it had anything to do with what the lunch lady said? Or was it that Jade felt weird by how she slept on Cat? Cat didn't ask. Mainly because she didn't get the opportunity to without Jade walking away. So instead she was with Tori on this fine Sunday night. Tori always made her feel better. They had watched Csi and ordered pizza earlier. Now they were both lying there talking about mindless things.
"Robbie really likes you y'know," Tori spoke up, turning her head to look at Cat. Tori couldn't make out the look on Cat's face. It looked like, guilt and..annoyance? Cat fiddled with her fingers above the covers, another sigh escaping her mouth.
"Oh..does he?" She tried playing it off, obviously failing horrible. She was never a good liar. She never knew what facial expression to match with her lies.
Tori chuckled and looked up to the ceiling again. "Yeah, but I think you already knew that"
Yep. Cat had been caught. A frown crawled its way on her face.
"What's wrong I thought you liked him? I mean..everyone thought that.." Cat raised both her eyebrows, amused. She propped herself up with her elbows to look at Tori.
"I don't like him Tori..why would you think that?" The red headed asked nicely. Cat figured Robbie had a little crush on her. He must've with all the times she caught him staring at her. And if she was being honest..it always made her a bit..uncomfortable. He was a friend to her. She didn't like when he would always persist on kisses from her. Or especially when she found out Robbie had cardboard cutouts of her.
"I don't know...you guys are always talking, and didn't you guys kiss at the dance?"
Well they did. Cat knew about Robbie's feelings for her and convinced herself that she liked him back for a little bit, meaning a week. But after their kiss she realized that she just didn't like him. There was no spark. His kiss was gentle but it wasn't..what she wanted. She didn't know what she wanted. Plus she remembered distinctively that he probably needed some chap stick. After, she ran away because she didn't want to hurt his feelings. She was still confused about hers.
"Yeah but I don't like Robbie like that. He's a good friend but I don't really think we would work together" Cat plopped herself down again while Tori nodded.
"You should tell him that," Tori offered.
Oh she did. Many times. Cat always made sure to get the point across that he was just a friend to her but he never seemed to understand. Sheesh, and they thought she never understood anything. "I tried but he doesn't understand."
Tori muttered a small, 'Oh'.
"Well I'm gonna go to sleep now. I'm pretty tired. Goodnight Cat" the Latina flipped over so her back was to Cat. Quick enough Cat could hear the soft snores coming from her friend. There was never any cuddling when they had sleepovers like there was with Jade. Cat never really knew why because she was typically a very cuddly person, but at the same time..she didn't know how she would feel to cuddle with Tori. She felt like she would feel almost uncomfortable. She's known Jade forever, that's why it was so easy to do it with her. Plus Jade was always so warm. She knew how to cuddle good.
She decided to send a quick text to her. It was only 11:39 pm, Jade would surely be awake.
Cat: Hey! Are you going to school tomorrow?
It was Monday tomorrow and Jade had a bad habit of missing on Mondays because she slept in, or she would just be late.
Jade: Yeah I have to turn in something for my first period class. Why?
Cat: Well, I wanted to talk. You've kind of been avoiding me all week...
Jade: I haven't, but yeah we can talk tomorrow if you want. Sorry if that's how I came off, I've been busy with script writing.
Cat: Oh. It's okay don't worry.
Jade: Cool. Well, get some sleep okay? It's almost 12, I don't want you to wake up tired. Goodnight Cat.
Cat: Kay Kay! Goodnight Jadey!
Cat put her phone away with a smile. Jade cares for her. That was enough for Cat for now.
Jade was avoiding Cat. How could she not? After that weekend they kissed she felt..weird. It was almost uncomfortable to be around Cat because she was so self aware of everything. She found herself wondering how her hair looked while Cat blabbered, obviously not caring about it. That didn't happen with anyone else. So instead of being with Cat, she spent every free minute with Beck. Kissing him, hugging him. Trying to ease her confusion. It didn't help.
So instead she avoided Cat all together, figuring the feeling would go away. But nope. Her stomach got all mushy again when Cat had texted her. She scolded herself for smiling like an idiot at her phone. If she felt this way though a phone imagine what it was like in real life.
She also got upset when she found herself having random cravings for a certain type of candy. She always had hated candy before. She even went as far to buying some licorice at the gas station. She quickly threw it away when she realized it didn't have the specific taste she craved. Even Beck asked her why she bought it. He knew she didn't like that stuff. She could only shrug him off.
She knew it was a bad idea to even agree to talk to Cat at all. She held it off as long as she possibly could but yet here they were, together eating at a table alone. Originally it had been Jade and Beck at this table eating alone, to get away from their friends for a little, until Beck left to speak to Andre and Cat came waltzing over, taking Becks spot.
"So can I see the script?" She asked, taking a sip of her small apple juice box.
"It's uh..not finished" Cat nodded and started humming a tune softly.
Jade always thought Cat was talented. Sure she was a bit air headed and not very smart..at a lot of things, but she was very talented. She could sing better than anyone in this school easily, and she played almost all instruments flawlessly. She was great with fashion design AND she was a great lyricist. She could easily become a singer if she wanted to..at least Jade always thought so.
Cat stopped humming and furrowed her eyebrows, wiping her cheek with her hand. "Is there something on my face?" She asked, examining her clean hand.
"No?"
"Oh. It's just that you were staring at me." Jade quickly looked down and scarfed down a couple fries.
"Sorry I was just thinking" Jade responded meekly. Cat giggled.
"I like your thinking face" Cat laughed, trying to mimic Jade's face. Jade rolled her eyes with a smile. She missed her. No matter how hard she tried to convince herself she didn't. No one else could make Jade want to laugh genuinely like Cat did. She wasn't even trying to either, it was just Cat being Cat.
Review! You should definitely review. I'd be amazing if you'd review...y'know..don't not review...
