Chapter 3: Before After Ever part 3 (The Proposal failure)
A young boy was going around putting up flyers about the coronation. Then a rat appeared looking around before snatching a flyer and racing into the sewers.
The rat runs over to a woman sitting in a chair. The rat handed her the flyer. "Lady Caine, what is it?" Pocket asked her. "Time to pay our respects to our beloved royals." Then she burns the flyer she held with a candle.

Rapunzel stood with her family and Cassandra. As the other royals began to arrive. Valor peeks through the crowd to watch the first carriage pulls up.
Looking over to Rapunzel. She looked ready to burst with excitement. "We're good at making people feel welcome. This completely doable..ish." Rapunzel looks over them. Eugene beans and waves pulling Valor next to him. Rapunzel waves back to them. Jumps pulling his hand down as the king gets Rapunzel to focus again.
Once the carriage stops."Your Highness I present Dame Elizabeth Van Hoskins of Rochester." The old lady walks out only to tackled in Rapunzel's bear hug. Valor winces hearing body snap under it. "Get in here." Rapunzel hugs. The rest of the royals stood still with shock eyes.
"So, nice to meet you." Rapunzel said fixing her hat. Making her look nice. Pascal squeaks shrugging. While the woman looks at it in shock. The king smiles and she walks off. While Rapunzel waves to. Queen Ariana gently pulls her back.
"Um, perhaps you should refrain from the Bear hugs, sweetheart." The King Fredrick whispers to her. "Oh, no bear hugs. Gotcha. Sorry." Valor smirks listening in.
Then the next carriage pulls up. "I present Lieutenant Commander General James Buherford-Carver the third." Steps out in front of them. Valor stares at him. He differently showed in status well.
"Phew. That's kind of a mouthful." Rapunzel stares. "Is it ok if I call you Jimmy?" The princess asked. "I'd prefer you didn't." He said walking away. "Well, um.. Welcome all the same." Rapunzel said cheerfully.
"I present the Duchess of Quintinia." The man said. Rapunzel turns to see another woman in front of her. Rapnuzel gaze traveled up. "Wow, can I just say, I love your hair. I use to have really long hair too but.." "This is a handwoven coiffure. Weft from the finest silk and Vacuna fabrics. It designates high social status. You think you'd know that."
Valor crosses her arms. She did like this person. Yet Rapunzel just kept trying to act friendly. "Uh, still. Nice to meet you." Rapunzel said. "Sadly not nice enough to wear shoes, I'm afraid." She laughs. "Really." She walks off fanning the paper fan.
Pascal glares at her as the queen puts a hand on Rapunzel's shoulder. The princess steps back next to her parents. "Sorry." Rapunzel whispers to them.
Valor sighed "was going to be a long weekend." She mutters.

Valor lays out her clothes. They were covered with formulas for different experiments. She had helped with before leaving to Corona. Fishing through her satchel. "Okay, Goggles let's see if this stuff works like you said." Valor pops off the cork. Then pours the formula over her clothes.
Coughing she shakes off the extra purplish stuff off. Then smiles. Holding up her green shirt with zero stains well almost zero. All signs of the experiments were gone. "Not bad."
Setting her clothes down. Then makes her way out of room. Quietly shutting the door. Valor looks about before running off.

Rapunzel sat in a boat. A single lantern glowed. Rapunzel stares at her reflection in the water. "So, I think we learned something very valuable today." Rapunzel looks to see Eugene standing behind her.
He jumps into the boat to join her. "There's a time and place for bear hugs." Both lugged lightly. "Hey, you okay?" Eugene ask her. He climbs into the boat. "Yeah. Great. Why wouldn't I be?" Rapunzel ask as Eugene looks unconvinced.
Sighing. "It's just.. Eugene, is all this everything you dreamed it would be?" Rapunzel ask him. Eugene smiles grabbing her hand. "Rapunzel, you are my dream."
Rapunzel smiles at him. "So as long as you're with me, that answer is always going to be yes. Why? Don't you feel the same way?" Eugene asked her. "No... Yes. Yes! I mean, of course I do! I love you with all my heart, Eugene." Rapunzel says holding his hand and resting it against her cheek.
"Look, I know this has got be weird. No one's expecting you to take it all in overnight. But believe me, I've been all around the world and it doesn't get any better than this." Eugene said gesturing to everything around them.
"This castle, our friends, your family, each other. What else could you possibly want?" Eugene ask her. Rapunzel smiles shaking her head. "Nothing." Rapunzel tells him. They lean in to kiss when... "time to go!" Cassandra shouts. Eugene falls overboard.
Gripping the boat coughing. Cassandra smiles. "How's that water-feeling, Fitzherbert?" Cassandra scoffs looking at him. "Dark and Icy. Just like you." Eugene mocks while he glares at her.
Cassandra chuckles. "Come on, Rapunzel, it's time to hear in. You don't want to be exhausted for tomorrow." Cassandra tells her. "Right! My morning off!" She said helping Eugene sit up. Pushing back his wet bangs and kisses his forehead. "Sorry!" Then the two walk off leaving Eugene in the boat. "Man she scares me."

Valor pulls off the borrowed clothes. Pulling on her green shirt brown vest and black pants. Grabbing her satchel she made her way out.
Stretching her arms. Yet she could catch a few wary glances from people. Even if it's been six months. No one was quite felt comfortable around her. Then sound of trumpets rang out. Turning around to see Rapunzel with her guards. Frowning she watches.
"Princess, Rapunzel, will spend her day about town!" Once he finished his announcement. Rapunzel was then squeezed between the guards. Valor watches as they walk by.
Quickly she hurried after them. One of the guards turned to face her. Pointing their weapon at her. "Whoa there. I'm Rapunzel's friend." Valor holds hands up surrendering. The guard lowers his weapon as she followed.
Rapunzel waves to the Butcher only when he waves back. A guard tackles him. Valor winces and frowns watching. As the day went by. Whatever fun Rapunzel experience was very limited.
Valor watches as her smile was more forceful. "You okay, Rap?" Valor whispers eyes the guards who watched her. "Never better." Rapunzel fakes smiles. Valor sighs placing a hand on her shoulder. "Well, good luck Rap." Waving her off.

"Let me guess. Big day on the town wasn't all you hoped it I'd be?" Cassandra asked her. "It was.. sighing interesting." Pascal puts a thumbs down. "Uh, huh, I bet." "I just wish my dad would let me get out and see the real world." Rapnuzel tells her.
"You know, if you really wanted, I could get you in and out of here before anyone even knew we were gone." Cassandra said. "Uh, you mean sneak me out?" Rapunzel asked slyly. "Exactly. What you do when one's looking is your business." Cassandra points out. Rapnuzel smiles.
Then a knock on the door. As a woman called from the other side. "The royal banquet is ready to receive the princess now." "Cheer up, Raps. Hey, maybe your dad got someone to chew your food for you." Cassandra jokes.

Eugene was looking at the ring again. As he puts it away as food hits him in the face. Valor laughs. "I'm in charge of the seating charts." Cassandra tells Eugene as she walks by smiling. "One of the perks of my job. Oh and Valor helped." Eugene glares at Valor who just laughs as the kids kept playing about.
"I don't understand why you are so upset sweetheart. I said you could do whatever you wanted. And that's exactly what you did." The King Fredrick said. "Hmm, you didn't say anything about a battalion tagging along." Rapunzel points out lightly.
"Why would I need to?" Her father asked her. "Your royalty. Making a public appearance." He adds. "But, Dad.." "ahem." Valor looks over to Eugene. As he got up. "What are you doing?" Valor hissed. Eugene smiles.
Valor groans covering her face. ''Oh, he so going to make a fool of himself.'' Valor looks to see Cassandra was watching with interest.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, Dukes and Duchesses." Eugene said walking over to Rapnuzel. "Barons and Baroness, Marquis and, you know, the female version of those, may I share a moment of history with you." Valor moves to stand next to Cassandra. "Any clue what he's doing?" Cassandra whispers to Valor.
Valor frowns. "Not sure, but I think we are about to find out." The two watch Eugene address Rapunzel. "Princess, will you join me up here?" He asked his girlfriend. Rapunzel gives him a smile then walks over.
Grabbing her hand he address everyone. "Tonight, we celebrate our love for the princess." Rapunzel looks over at them. Valor shrugs while Cassandra looks with wide eyes and shrugs as well.
"I for one, can think of no better way to celebrate the love I have for this woman than this." Eugene says getting to one knee. Valor stiffens. Her icy blue eyes stared in shock. 'Of course he mention proposing on her coronation.' Valor noted.
As for her father his eyes were wide and in shock. Realizing what he was doing. His jaw slacks in shock. Following by Cassandra with Pascal on her shoulder did the same. "I can't believe he's really doing it." Valor whispers.
"Wait you knew?" Cassandra said looking brief at her. "He mention he was going to do it, but this he must be crazy." Valor wide blue eyes watched him.
"O, Eugene! Wait. Did you drop something?" Rapnuzel ask him kneeling lower and looking about. "No." He said then pulls out his box. Opening it exposes the ring. The king stands up while Rapunzel eyes spark at the sight of the ring.
"Rapunzel, from the moment I first met you, and you knocked me out with a frying pan, I knew it was love. You're my light, you're my best friend and I want to be your partner in all things." Rapunzel was smiling listening to this.
Eugene continues. "I can't wait to laugh with you and share with you. I see us raising our children here, and our children's children, ad celebrating banquets of our own in this very hall for many, many, many' many years to come. I want to ride our horses out to the Corona wall together each and every morning until we're both very, very old and gray. I love you Rapunzel, and I want to spend the rest of our lives here together." Eugene says as Rapunzel begins thinking. "Here? In this.. castle forever? Rapunzel ask him.
"I mean, unless you want to rent, but I hardly see how we're doing to top this." Eugene tells her.
Rapunzel looks from Eugene as his words set in. Then at her father as his words rang in her head. Was this what she really wanted. Looks about from them the guards. "Rapunzel? Rapunzel?" Eugene's voice echoed. Then shakes her head. Sighing. "I've.. wow! I love you, Eugene, but... but I can't! Just not, not now. Um, I need some air." Rapunzel runs out.
Valor watches just as a hand grasp her. "Come on." Cassandra tells her they hurried after Rapunzel.
