Chapter 7 Before Ever After part 7 (Cut the Hair)
As the group raced back to the castle. The run was rising casting early rays of late dawn around them. Rapunzel's 70 foot long hair flowing behind her. Valor watches. But only turns back around as they got closer. As they entered and dismounted. Cassandra and Valor pokes their heads around the corner. "We've got a problem." Valor whispers. "It because of the coronation, they've doubled security at the gates today." Cassandra adds. "And there is no other way in?" Rapunzel asked.
"Sure, if you want to walk in the front door in broad daylight." Cassandra points out. Valor and Rapunzel look about. "Hmm, maybe we don't need the front door." Valor and Cassandra followed the princess's gaze upwards. "You got to be joking." Cassandra said.

With a plan in motion. They broke apart. Max went right in through the front doors. Since he was a guard horse.
Max makes his way through the halls. He stops looking down the hall to where Pete, and Stan stood guard. Straighten he matches over to them. Max looks at them then snorts eyeing Stan who save him a smile. "I told him it wasn't protocol, sir." Pete said. Max snorts and motion them to leave. Saluting they matched off.
Max then pushed the door open. Right as Cassandra and Valor jump through the window. Max grabs Rapunzel hair and pulls. Rapunzel appears. "Okay, quick, hand me the scissors." Rapunzel gasps.
Cassandra walks over with them. "So, what do we wanna do here?" Cassandra asked holding them up. "Maybe a bob? How about some layers?" Cassandra asked. "Cass." "Just cut it!" Rapunzel demands.
Cassandra lifts up a strand and snips it. But the scissors broke and shattered. Valor gulps. "Uh-oh." Valor said join by Max looking at the broken scissors. "Uh-oh? Why uh-oh?" Rapunzel asked. "There shouldn't be any uh-ohs." Rapunzel turns as the pair of broken scissors. "Uh-oh." Rapunzel stares with wide eyes.
"Was your hair always this strong?" Cassandra asked. "What? No! Try again." Rapunzel begs. Valor nods this time she grabs her dagger. And tries to cut it. But pulls away showing a bent dagger. Frowning looking at it. "We're gonna need a plan B."
Soon they had the hair neatly around them. Rest of it rested on a table they had set up. Rapunzel on one end.
Cassandra then opens a hidden pouch on Max's saddle. And a row of weapons fell neatly down. "Awesome!" Valor snatches one of them. While Cassandra takes the throwing axe. "Okay, close your eyes." Cassandra orders Rapunzel.
Then the testing started. Cassandra and Valor routed. Striking weapon after weapon. They watched as one after another broke and shattered. Lastly both girls lifted up a large axe. Dropping down breaking the table and leaving the hair intact.
"For get it. It just like those stupid rocks. It's unbreakable." Cassandra said giving up. "We can't forget it! Today is my coronation." Knocking on the door. Made all eyes turn to it.
"Hey, sunshine, are you there?" Eugene asked. Rapunzel walks to the door only to be stopped by Cassandra. "You can't let Eugene see you. What why?" Rapunzel asked.
"He can't know anything about last night. I told you Rapunzel. If it gets out, we took you outside Corona, I'm done for, Valor is done for." Cassandra explains. "But, I trust Eugene." "But I don't. My dad will have me taken off Princess detail and Val could get thrown out."
Valor snorts. "Like I care. Look let's do something. He won't stand there waiting for ever." Valor gestures to the door. "Oh come on, we've been looking for you all night." He called in.
Rapunzel looks from the door to the others. "It's your choice Rap." Valor adds. Rapunzel nods agreeing with Cass. Cassandra smiles running to the door. "Hey, are you okay?" He asked.
Rapunzel tried to run, but screams as he hair is jerked. Valor chuckles then helps Rapunzel untangling her hair. While Cass ran about shoving hair into anything to hide it. Valor and Rapunzel ran about helping them. Max pulls a rug over it. "Rapunzel! Stand back!" Eugene shouts from outside the door.
The door is kicked in. Everyone froze. "Are you ok- Holy hair!" Eugene screams. While everyone stood holding hair in their arms. Eugene looks around the room. Every inch was covered in hair. Rapunzel starts laughing nervously. "Surprise."

Rapunzel helps Eugene sit down. "Whoa! Oooh, mamma! Ha! Okay! Okay! This new, I mean, no! Not new." Valor walks pass them caring hair. "Right? Because we've seen this obviously. That whole magic thing is involved again. It was magic right? Actually, you know what? You don't need to tell me. I'm just going to go ahead and say your hair magically grew back. I'm not going ask how. Obviously you don't want to tell me or else you wouldn't have to try to hide it from me." Valor frowns. He really was losing it bad. Pacing sitting and pacing again.
"So I won't ask how it grew back, but tell me please, how did it grow back?" Eugene asked looking her in the eyes before ranting again. "Maybe I should make an elixir to stop rants." Valor mutters. Yet watching Eugene go back and forth wanting and not wanting to know was a headache.
Valor went back to work helping Cassandra picking up the hair. And doing her best to ignore Eugene. "Where is the war? That you'll share when you are ready." Valor sighed as he finally shut up. Yet the look he had was telling her he really wanted to know.
"Thank you for understanding." Rapunzel tucks strands of her hair back. "Oh come on, really?!" He shouted. "I thought we trusted each other, Rapunzel!" He sounded hurt. "We do! I do, it's just...''''fine, fine, fine. You know what? I can't make you tell me what happened, but obviously you're keeping something from me. But whatever it is, I just want to know you should never feel like you have to hide anything from me." Rapunzel smiles and moves bits of her bangs.
Max watches with a smile. Then looks up to see Pascal looking back at him with a smile. Cassandra and Valor glances at before they continue. "You don't hide things from the people you love. Ever." Eugene points out.
Then a new voice broke in. "Rapunzel, honey!" Queen Ariana calls from outside. "Hide your hair, woman. You got to hide your hair!" Eugene explains as Pascal quickly shuts the door as it was began to open.
