AN; Spoilers for the people who did not finish Solomon.
Ch 2 Final Singularity
Ritsuka Fujimaru is an interesting person indeed. No one would expect a single magus from a lost family would save Humanity or the foundation of history by himself; well not by himself. For magus, people describe them as cruel and selfish beings that should not have existed at all, but this peculiar magus is different from the rest.
For those who had met him Magus, Servants, Beasts, and even the Gods they have formed a mutual respect for the young man. For that reason, all the servants either be it via contract or enemy they all decided to join him and follow the ideals he spoke of.
Romani Archaman was quite impressed with how Ritsuka took the lead during the Grand Orders when times are treacherous.
The acting director was more impressed when Ritsuka took charge during the Babylonia Singularity when Quetzalcoatl's Noble Phantasm failed to delay Tiamat's advance to Uruk. Once the Seventh Singularity was restored and both Ritsuka and Mashu return the Doctor had a moment to himself.
Romani was in the Command Room thinking of the future of Chaldea. "Are you alright, Romani?"
Romani looked over at the Chaldea's Teach Advisor Leonardo Da Vinci handing him a cup of coffee. "Thank you, Da Vinci." He smells the coffee and smiles. "Ah, Americano," he said sipping on the beverage.
Da Vinci leaned on the Commander's panel looking at him while drinking hers. "So, are you going to tell them the truth." She asked receiving a confused look from the Doctor.
"What do you mean?" Romani asked the Caster Servant.
"You know what I mean Romani, I'm aware who you rea-"
"ALRIGHT!" She was interrupted by the acting director. She only stared at him as he calmed down, it was a good thing they were alone or else everyone else could hear their conversation.
"My question is, how? How did you know?" The Doctor asked.
"You know the answer, Romani. He's always turning up random times to teach Ritsuka in his magecraft." She told the doctor. "Good grief, here I thought when Humanity is incinerated he would go along with it too."
"Right…him," Romani said remembering the Dead Apostle appearing after the London Singularity. He stills shutters at the pranks he played on the staff every time he visits to train Ritsuka. "I'm so glad Fujimaru doesn't take on his pranking habits." Romani jokes.
"Agree, but don't change the topic." Da Vinci said firmly.
Romani sighs as he stared into his coffee thinking on what Da Vinci's words. "No," her eyes widen ready to argue before he spoke again. "Well not yet at least. I want to finish the Grand Order then I would tell them," he said to the Tech Advisor.
Da Vinci sighs before looking at him as she finishes her coffee. "Well it's your decision, though I wouldn't be surprised how Mashu would react; but for Ritsuka is different. Those two look up to you as a father figure Romani, make sure you have their best interest in mind." Da Vinci walks out of the Command Room leaving the director alone to think over her word.
In truth, Romani knew somewhere inside that he will not be able to see those to grow after the Grand Orders. He sighs looking up at the ceiling leaning his head on the chair. "I will tell them tomorrow." He said to himself before the alarms went off causing him to drop his coffee on the floor. "Shit, it's time already!" he curses. The staff enters taking their positions in the command room preparing for the Final Order.
Da Vinci renters the Command room. "I just got back to my workshop only to come rushing back here. Romani, what's the prognosis?" the Caster asked the Doctor.
"Doctor!" Ritsuka enters the room with Mashu next to him.
"Fujimaru, Mashu sorry to call you two back right after you got back," Romani said turning his chair to face both. "The time has finally arrived." He said causing the Demi-Servant and master pair to flinch.
"You mean the final…" Ritsuka was about to say when the doctor confirms, he was right.
Romani stands up and faces the Chaldeans. "As of right now, I, Romani Archaman hold the lives of all sitting in this room in my hands." The staff started at the acting director giving his speech. "Our destination is Solomon, the final Singularity. The Grand Temple of Time: Solomon!"
Ritsuka and Mashu fought their way to the throne within the Temple of Time ready to face Solomon. The servants both allies and enemies they met on their journey have materialized to assist their master's mission to save humanity.
Both Ritsuka and Mashu arrived at the temple where Solomon awaits them in his throne smirking at how futile their mission is. Ritsuka stared down at the King of Mages. "Solomon."
"Ah, Ritsuka Fujimaru, Humanity's final master. Here at last." Solomon said smirking at them.
"We're here to defeat you Solomon and restore Human History!" Ritsuka proclaims to him.
"Tell me, why are you still fighting? You have seen what humans are like and how cruel they can be. Tell me your answer child." Solomon said to them both.
Mashu steps forward to face the fake Grand Servant."Even so…Humans are-"
"I was not talking to you Shield hero. I was talking to your master." Solomon gazes over to Humanity's final master as he stares at him.
Mashu turns her eyes to Ritsuka who remained calm upon Solomon's gaze. "Senpai? What does master have to do with this King of Mages?" Mashu asked of him.
"For a while, I thought nothing of you, Ritsuka Fujimaru. Curiosity got the better of me when you avoid a specific area in London, America, and France. I was quite curious about why, so I did some little research on you and found something interesting that's worth my full attention." The fake Grand Caster said to the young Magus.
Mashu looks at Ritsuka still as cool-headed as ever. She tries to ignore what Solomon is saying about her Senpai, but cannot help to know what he was talking about. "Senpai?" she asked him as he looks at her.
"Oh? You did not tell her?" the King of Mages laughs at the young magus as he places his hand on his forehead throwing back his head as he continues to laugh "Here I thought you already told them the truth, where you came from, your true heritage, and why you came here."
"Enough!" He said with anger in his voice.
"Senpai,"
Ritsuka looks at Mashu with sad eyes. "Mashu, I'm not the person you thought I was born from a wizard family. My real name is Harry Potter." Ritsuka said. "My family abandoned me in favor of my younger twin brother because of some prophecy."
"Senpai..." Mashu just stares at her master looking away from her line of sight,
"Now you know, I hope this does not change our friendship, Mashu." He said with remorse in his words.
"It does not," Ritsuka looks as Mashu who had this gentle look at him. "Senpai, it doesn't change my perspective of you of where you came from. If you stay the person you are now, I will continue being your shield and your servant." She said with confidence that rallies him to fight once more.
Ritsuka was happy that her opinion of him didn't change. he nodded and looked back at Solomon. "Right, let's do this!" he said confidently that they will win the battle.
"Yes, master," Mashu responded getting into her attack position.
"Arrogant Fools," Solomon said as he prepares for their attack. "I will show you there's no hope in your mission to save humanity," he said as both he and Mashu got into combat. Ritsuka was providing support by using his Magecraft to create a barge of gems to cover the Sheilder.
Both Ritsuka and Mashu fought hard with every ounce of magical energy they have as they continue to attack Solomon.
Solomon had enough as he reveals his true name to be Goetia the seventy-two Demon Gods that was Solomon's familiars back when he was alive. It does not change Ritsuka and Mashu's goal to prevent the incineration of humanity, with that Goetia use Solomon's final Noble Phantasm Ars Almadel Salomonis on them.
(Insert Fate/Grand Order OST Shikisai Shield in the Snow) Mashu knew that Ritsuka would die if the Noble Phantasm contacted him. Instincts drove her as she stood in front her master lifting her shield releasing her Noble Phantasm that Galahad entrusted to her, Lord Camelot to protect him.
The blast was intense as she pulls through it with the thought of protecting Ritsuka drove her to the limits that her body can handle. She looks back at Ritsuka with a soft smile.
"MASHU! GET OUT OF THERE!" He protests to her.
Mashu knew she would perish whether be it cell degeneration or the Noble Phantasm she currently holding back. She gave one last smile to him. "Goodbye, Senpai," his last words were muted by the sound of the Noble Phantasm passing her shield. (end song)
Silence filled the air as Ritsuka gazes upon what is left of his servant, her shield still standing. Ritsuka fell on his knees as tears travel down on his face. "Foolish girl, as I expected how this will end."
Ritsuka grips his hands together and glared at the Beast anger fills him. "GOETIA!".
"That girl she sacrifices herself for nothing," Goetia said looking down at the servantless master as he ran up to the shield. "It's futile Fujimaru. Reloading Third Noble Phantasm. You can die along with her, O Humanity's final master!" he proclaims.
Ritsuka wipes away the tears shed walking to Mashu's shield. He picked up the giant shield as he slowly charges at him. "Very well, I should at least give you a fighting chance before you meet your end. Strike me down in the memory of Mashu Kyrielight." He said opening his arms.
"WITH PLEASURE!" Ritsuka exclaims as he was charging at Beast I before stopping.
"Wait, wait, wait, Ritsuka calm down." a voice causes both human and Beast to stop in their tracks. Footsteps came from the stairwell of the temple revealing to be Romani Archaman making his way next to Ritsuka placing his hand on his shoulder. "Try not to be suicidal Ritsuka, at least save your strength." He said with his usual smile.
"Doctor?"
Romani ruffles Ritsuka's untamed hair smiling at him. "You've done well to make it so far, Ritsuka. Let me have the spotlight for once." He said to him walking to the Beast.
"Romani Archaman? A mere human was able to enter my temple. Tell me how…wait I know that Spirit Origin. NO, IT CAN'T BE!" Goetia took a step back as he gazes upon the peach haired doctor. "HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE!?"
Romani indulge the Beast of how it was done and how he was reborn with the power of the Holy Grail. "Goetia, you said you don't need the title of King of Mages. Then I will gladly take it back." Romani said as he reverts to his original self before he was reborn as a human.
"Doctor…" Ritsuka watched as his father figure reverts to the enemy, he thought he was fighting unable to say a word.
"I am Solomon, the King of Mages. Goetia I will show you one last secret that I possessed." He said to the Beast. Goetia lunges at Romani attacking him as Romani scolded him about life and death.
"I will end you with your own Noble Phantasm Solomon!" he cried.
"Indeed, I would perish with my own Noble Phantasm, but have you ever known it's the true name, Goetia?" Romani said.
"What?"
"I will show you then," Romani said as he prepares to unleash the true name.
"The Time of Birth hath come,"
His body was engulfed in a golden light.
"I am the remedy of eternity. The Time of Coronation hath come,"
His body glowed brighter as he continues to chant his Noble Phantasm.
"I am the Beginning of Eternity. "
The light around him glowed brighter in each second as Ritsuka watched Romani's Noble Phantasm at work.
"And finally…The Time of Parting hath come,"
"I am he who Surrenders the World!"
The light soon went to Romani's core.
"Ars Nova."
The power that Goetia had possessed was now gone and his immortality as well. Romani looked at Ritsuka as he started to fade from existence. "Ritsuka, you have shown great leadership on your journey and that I entrust you to lead Chaldea from now on when you're of age. I'm proud of both you and Mashu. You both are like the son and daughter I never had."
He said to the magus as he turns to his former familiar. "Goetia, as my last request take care of Ritsuka for me." He said fading more by the minute.
Goetia remained silent before responding to his former master's request. "No, I will not. All humans ever learn is hatred and despair! I am sick of watching that, this boy is no different from the others!" Beast I exclaims.
Romani blinks at his former familiar and frowned. "I see, Goetia. Nothing is eternal; pain and suffering are always waiting in the end. But despair is not what makes life. Human life, their story is dazzling from their journeys, love, hope, and that what makes human life worth watching. That is the part you don't understand Goetia." Romani said.
"That description of human life, Solomon is utter nonsense. No matter what I will bring the end of Humanity once and for all!" Goetia proclaims to the two Chaldeans.
Romani sighs as he gazes upon the Beast. "I see that your motives are unchanged no matter what I have to say." He turns to Ritsuka holding out his hand to him. "Ritsuka Fujimaru, this is my last order as the Director of Chaldea, fight with your strength. Show what Goetia the true meaning of humanity no matter what your past is fight until you have secure victory!" he ordered the last master.
"B-B-But how about you?" Ritsuka asked as the director fades away.
"Don't worry about me, Ritsuka. Every battle and hardships both you and Mashu face led to this moment, Now go defeat Beast I True Name Goetia!" Romani said as he disappears from existence giving him one last smile.
"Yes, Sir!" Ritsuka said diverging his attention back to Goetia. Both he and the Beast went into combat, a battle that there are no witnesses.
Ritsuka was fighting with Mashu's shield and his magecraft against the Beast. Both of them are aware that the Temple of Time is crumbling around them and all the Demon God Pillars are being defeated one by one by the servants cause the place to be unstable.
"So I'm guessing that you'll be materializing back at Chaldea, O King of Heroes," Jeanne asked the golden Archer as the servants around them dematerialize.
"That mongrel-no master has peeked my interested Saint of the Flag. He has shown bravery and power with his own merits, that is worthy enough to be in my presence." Gilgamesh said. "Of course, I'm joining him on his journey." He said as he starts to dematerialize.
"I see, and I completely agree with you. I will be seeing you soon." The Ruler said as she demetallized back to Chaldea.
Ritsuka ran as fast he could to the randevu point that Da Vinci said on his coms. He is still holding onto the shield after defeating Goetia one last time. He was confused about what his final words to him means after he did the finishing blow on the beast. "(I now see what he means… we'll be meeting again Humanity's final master. Until then good luck for what fate has in store for you shortly.)"
Ritsuka shrugs it off coming upon to the randevu point. the path was crumbling each step he takes, Ritsuka was determined to get back to Chaldea in one piece. "Just…one…more…ste-" the ground below him crumbles on the final step. He was so close to home, Ritsuka closes his eyes accepting his fate.
He was about to fall when someone grabs his arm. He looks up to see Mashu pulling him up from the edge.
"MASHU!" Ritsuka said shocked to see her alive.
"HOLD ON SENPAI! I GOT YOU!" she exclaims as she pulled him up with her Demi-Servant strength.
Ritsuka was still holding the shield as he was pulled up to safety. On his way on the ledge, he pulled Mashu up as he pulls her to the rayshift back to Chaldea where everyone is waiting for Humanity's Final Master to return.
