AN; I want to focus on the rewrite for now before going on and finishing the other fanfics. Those are stories that are when something inspires me to write and as of right now FGO is the one that inspires me to do now.
Ch 4 New Chaldea
Antarctica: Chaldea Security Organization Year 2023
Two years have passed since Ritsuka and the remnants of the old Chaldea's staff returned from their mission to save proper human history and the destruction of the Lostbelts. The Chaldea Security Organization went through major changes after being rebuilt. Both the United Nations and Mage's Association provide new personals to bolster the already small staff that survive the oprichniki attack.
Chaldea now has clearance to have a small army both mundane and mages are in the force in case of an attack, so the facility will not fall like the last time. Unlikely Servants were summoned out of the blue once the FATE system was back and running. Those who materialize as servants from other means, this includes the Beast class Servants and Servants who he encounters on his journey.
Goetia Beast I was summoned the day that Chaldea was officially finished with its reconstruction. Ritsuka did not expect to summon him when the FATE system was online and the spirit origin graph was reinstalled. The Servants were wary of him first but soon they learn to get used to the Beast of Pity being around. He was always in Ritsuka's shadow (Which Ritsuka does not mind). It's his way of protecting him and fulfilling his former master's request.
Next was Tiamat Beast II and her son Kingu. Both were summoned at the same time when Ritsuka thought of Goetia's summon. a week after. So Ritsuka decides to humor himself and tested out his theory.
Once summoned Tiamat was an overprotective and doting mother. Ever since the conversation both of them had back in Kur within the Beast of Regression's mind she decides to be a mother to him once she learned about his past.
Kingu was in the Lancer-class which does not surprise Ritsuka. His appearance is a lot like Enkidu but with darker colors in the hair and violet eyes, unlike Enkidu who has green. Kingu was overprotective of Ritsuka who he proclaims that 'Since mother has considered you as her child, that means I'm your older brother. So, don't go on and do anything reckless like you did in Babylonia when charging in a heard of Laḫmū. If you do, I won't be there to help you'
Ritsuka quickly got a hold of what personality Kingu process by those words alone, a tsundere.
Karma and Kiara summon was special. Both retain their regular classes when they were summoned, Karma is still is in the Assassin class and Kiara is in the Alter Ego class. Both servants have access to their Beast forms through a Noble Phantasm they both possess.
Grigori Rasputin was an interesting summon for Humanity's Final Master. It happens when Ritsuka was leading an expedition team in Russia to find a suitable place for the Russian Branch of Chaldea.
Flashback
Ritsuka, Kadoc, and a few others are on Russian outskirts to find a suitable place to build a new Chaldean outpost. They brought the Shadow Border to travel on the thick blanket of snow where if they go on foot then it'll be a long time until they'll be seeing the warmth of Chaldea again.
"Coming up on a promising ley line." A staff member said as she pulled it up the screen to show the Director.
Ritsuka and Kadoc looked at the map as it was being distorted by the snowstorm that was going on. "We've been on this mission for at least two weeks and the ley lines that we picked up were either false or destroyed," Kadoc said.
"We must stay optimistic Kadoc," Ritsuka gave his signature smile. "If we want a back up based other than the Shadow Border to go incase Chaldea falls again, then we must check at every suitable leyline we can find."
Kadoc rolled his eyes "You're being way too optimistic Ritsuka."
"I try my best to lighten the mood."
"Coming up to it now director." The Shadow Border stops where the staff detected the leyline.
Both Ritsuka and Kadoc along with Chaldean Mages put on winter coats that Da Vinci made for them before heading off to Russia to combat the wintery country. The Mages went to work establishing a connection with Chaldea with the technology they've created for this purpose.
Ritsuka had this strange feeling ever since they found the first ley line they encounter. The area was like it was ransacked and the ley line was like something rip through it on the scanners. "THE MAGES ARE ALMOST DONE SETTING UP COMMUNICATIONS WITH CHALDEA IN THIS SNOWSTORM!" Kadoc yelled as the blizzard blew strong winds preventing any small audio to be heard.
"GOT IT! LET'S GO BACK INSIDE!" Ritsuka replied as the last of the magus did a final check.
Everyone got inside the Shadow Border where Sieg prepares some hot chocolate for the people who were outside. "Here you go, master." the humonculius said handing each one a cup.
"Thank you, Sieg," Ritsuka said as he sips the warm drink.
"Communications online. Connecting to Chaldea." A staff member said as the screen reveal Da Vinci and Mashu.
-ZZZ-Ah, there you are Fujimaru. We have been expecting you for a while. -ZZZ- The Tech Advisor now Technology Divsion Head said.
-ZZZ- Yes, we've been worried if you gotten lost in the blizzard Senpai. -ZZZ- Mashu added.
"Nah, it's just been hard to get in contact with you guys since every ley line that we encounter was either false or destroyed." Ritsuka said to them.
"Yes, I will send the report I have made while we were here," Kadoc said sending the reports to them.
Da Vinci read the reports that the former Crypter sent as she thought of something. "Intresting, this looks like the work of a Demonic Beast." She explains that the only thing that can do this damage was a Demonic Beast. They have a whole conversation of how some Demonic Beast was able to survive through the end of the Age of Gods and feed of ley lines to satin their magical reserves.
"I see, so if we want them to stop destroying the ley lines then we must find them and eliminate them," Ritsuka said, Da Vinci nodded.
"Well, we don't have to look far. Enemies incoming." Kadoc said looking at the monitors. "All servants attack the enemies!" Ritsuka orders.
Three Servants went into combat with the Demonic Beast, Anastasia, Sieg, and Cú Chulainn (Lancer) to defend the Shadow Border and its inhabitants.
"Sieg!" Cú said as he draws the beast in where Sieg was.
"Got it!" he shot a blast of magical energy at it. Cú Chulainn jumps up as he thrust his Gae Bolg into another one's head.
"Filthy beast, I will get rid of you of my homeland!" Anastasia summons a gust of icy winds that froze most of them before Sieg and Cú smash them into millions of pieces.
Ritsuka grabs his bag of jewels he had with him for this mission as Kadoc loaded his shotgun with special bullets for his Acceleration Line skill. "Ready Kadoc?"
"I've been itching for a fight for a while. Let us do this." Kadoc responded as the doors open letting the two Mages out.
Ritsuka shot a barge of jewels as multiple Demonic Beast went down. Kadoc's bullets were accelerated faster than the average bullets as each bullet was able to take down two at a time.
Ritsuka saw a beast behind Kadoc which he did not saw and shot it in the head. Kadoc turns around and saw the dead beast. "YOU OWE ME ONE KADOC!" Ritsuka yelled back at him.
Kadoc shook his head as he smiles, shooting more beasts in the process. The Demonic Beast were multiplying at a face rate. The former Crypter was back to back with his former Caster Servant.
"Master Kadoc, how are you fairing?" Anastasia asked summoning ice spikes impaled them.
"Good Anastasia, though I'm surprised that you still retain your memories when I was your master." Kadoc responded as he continues shooting.
"Strange things will happen when it comes to Chaldea's FATE system." She said.
Cú Chulainn flew down in front of the pair slashing more beast. "More fighting and less yapping you two!" he said before jumping up onto the Shadow Border fending off the beast that manages to climb aboard.
Ritsuka grabs two gems and places his fist together as the gems glow. "Schwert erschaffen" he chants as the gems form into a single long sword. He moves at a fast pace cutting down each beast that came into his path before being slam onto the ground by one.
"MASTER!" Sieg cried. He transforms into Siegfried and stabs the beast with his sword. "Are you alright, master?" he asked.
"Yes, there are way too many." Ritsuka admits.
"Indeed, I'm not sure if ether mine or Anastasia's Noble Phantasm would take care of all of them," Sieg admits.
"Then we call back up," Ritsuka said standing up as he drew a summoning circle in the snow cover field. He place took out a summon ticket and placed it in the middle.
"Master?"
Ritsuka took in a deep breath as he chants the summoning ritual as the command seals on his hand glow and the circle glows as well. The ticket glows as it starts to take the shape of a man. Once the summoning is complete Ritsuka looked at his new servant.
"Rejoice master, you have summon me. I am Grigori Rasputin of the Alter Ego class, glad to make you acquaintance." He looks at the master who called upon his service and smiles "Oh if it isn't Ritsuka Fujimaru Humanity's Final master. It seems that you've called upon my service." He said.
"Now it's not the time Rasputin, we're surrounded by Demonic Beast." Ritsuka explains to the priest.
The former priest looks around him as multiple beasts are attacking them. "Very well, I shall assist you, master." Rasputin said holding out his hand summoning black keys and lunches them at the multiple of Demonic Beast killing them off.
Kadoc and Anastasia saw the priest taking out enemies left and right. "Is that Grigori?" Anastasia asked watching the servant.
"It is, I'm guessing that Ritsuka summoned him." Kadoc answers as the Alter Ego finished off the last remain Demonic Beast.
"That the last of the Demonic Beast, master." Rasputin said as Ritsuka made his way to him with Cu and Sieg by his side.
"Thank you for your help, Rasputin." Ritsuka thanked him.
Rasputin waved it off like it was nothing. "I'm just doing what servants are created for." He looks at the Lancer who sneers at him. "Ah, Lancer it's been a while." He smiles at the Child of Light.
"You know him, Cú ?" Ritsuka asked.
The Lancer scoffed "Let's just say that he and I have issues in the past." He said returning to the Shadow Border.
"I see he sill have that grude from the fifth Holy Grail War. Understandable." The Priest said. "Now that the enemies are defeated allow me to reintroduce myself." He places his hand over his chest and bows to Ritsuka "I am Alter Ego, true name Grigori Rasputin. I am a pseudo servant using the priest Kirei Kotomine's body in order to manifest. please do call me Kirei, I understand the mission that you are currently on and you'll have my full support moving forward." He said.
End of Flashback
Since then Kirei was assigned to the Russian Branch along with Kadoc after the construction was completed. He assisted Kadoc in running the Outpost with every little thing. The former priest had some connections with the Holy Church and by that connections, the church and Chaldea were now allies in preserving human history.
Merlin was in the lounges charming his way to the female staff. They walked off without saying any word to the Magus of Flowers. "Ah, just like the women in my time." He sighs from being rejected once again.
He was about to head off to the cafeteria when a vision came to him. Merlin forsaw a massive battle and a blurred figure in the center of the battle. From what he can tell it was his master facing what seems to be a towering figure before him.
"I have to see more," Merlin said as he uses his clairvoyance to see more of what the vision is about. He was in a dark place then the area began to clearer to him. Merlin looks around instantly remembers the place from his past.
"Why here…" he mutters as blues flames burst around him. Merlin remains calm following the flames to the source. His eyes widen at the origins of the flames, a cup pouring the blue flames as it starts distorting into a grail.
"Impossible," Merlin said taking a closer look at the grail; it was cracked everywhere as the flames seep through the cracks. Then a large flash causes him to come out of the vision back to reality.
"Magus of Flowers, I take it you sense it too?" Merlin turns around to meet eyes with Goetia in his human form behind him.
"Indeed, this is troubling." Merlin responded, "And there as well."
"Magus of Flowers that grail is unstable and must be ether contain or destroyed. The people who are using it for a silly tournament are abusing the power." The Beast said explaining it further on what the grail was.
Merlin nodded seeing how dangerous this Holy Grail is. "I will bring this matter to master. He must be informed immediately."
"Agree, go."
Merlin nodded as he rushes to the Director's office where Ritsuka is.
"...And that's all that we have to report Senpai," Mashu said finishing reading the monthly reports from the various outpost sent.
"That's good, thank you Mashu." Ritsuka said going back to work. He as doing the various paperwork that the director of a large organization must do. Then running footsteps outside his office caught his attention along with the others in the room. The doors burst open to the Grand Caster as he catches his breath.
"Master…I…I need to tell you…something." Merlin huffs.
"Indulge us on why you came running into our master's office?" Agravain said placing down the folders he was holding.
Just when the magus about to say it the alarm went off. -ZZZ- Light of Chaldeas is lost. All members head to the command room at once.-ZZZ- the PA said. The staff outside of Ritsuka's office went to their stations like in the Grand Orders.
In the command room, the staff is working hard to find the distortion that causes the light of Chaldeas to go out. "Humanity's future is undetermined of survival."
Peperoncino watched as the lights began to fade away. "Sheba Lens is not responding! Unable to see the near future." Another staff member said.
"Continue getting the location of the distortion!" Pepe order before a red light appears on Chaldeas near Britian.
"Location fixed. Confirming location: Great Britain Scotland the year is October 30th, 2023. Source of the distortion Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry." Sylvia announced.
"This is not good," Pepe said bitting his thumb.
"…And that's what I saw." Merlin finished explaining what he foresaw to his master.
"Merlin-san are you saying that a Holy Grail has emerged?" Mashu said.
"Impossible! Goetia confirms that all of the Holy Grails have been collected and currently stored within the vault!" Agravain exclaims. "The Irisviels are protecting them along with Kiritsugu guarding the vault!"
Merlin look at the black knight. "I have consulted with Goetia. He'd remembers that he did have an eight grail that was unstable to use. Even for him, so he discarded it into a time stream hoping that it'll be lost forever in time."
"But he was wrong and now destroying the foundation of humanity," Nobunkatsu said. "Where exactly you said the grail is located Merlin?" he asked the Court Mage.
Merlin turns to his master as he gulps. "In the hands of the wizards at Hogwarts."
The room was cold as they felt it emitting from the person who was usually warmhearted to everyone. Everyone in the room turns to their master as he hid his face in his hair.
"Senpai?" Mashu asked worried for him.
Ritsuka looks up at them. "I want everyone to prepare for an incoming battle in the future. We know how arrogant the wizards of Britian are and won't give up that easily." He said charisma pours into his words.
"Regardless of who our opponents are, our mission is simple. Find the grail, destroy it, or contain it and restore the Foundation of Humanity!" Ritsuka anouced. They nodded as they left the room leaving Mashu alone with Ritsuka.
"Are you alright, Senpai?" she asked.
Ritsuka chuckles. "heh, It seems I have to confront the people who I've been avoiding."
